ECO TINY HOUSE COMMUNITY 💚 | The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle Speed Build

[Music] this video was made possible by EA game-changers hello guys I'm Evelyn and welcome back to my channel I hope you're all having an amazing day so it's been a while since the last time I did a voiceover I know that I did like an apartment speed build last week or something but a lot like a week it's a long time to go without doing a voiceover and then before that I've done a lot of real time building as well so no voiceovers needed for that either so I feel like it's just it's been a while but hopefully this one will go okay cuz today we are back building with eco lifestyles so I did have early excess or I would prefer to call it alpha X's or early early axis or something cuz this is currently early access even though technically the pack is already out in some places I know it's confusing things are a little bit different for this round but we're back playing with that eco lifestyle or building in this case with the eco lifestyles so super excited about that by the way so we got the coats pretty late yesterday and I didn't get to start building until I think around a little past 10 p.m. or so my time so I said I said to myself basically okay let's build a tiny house cuz I know that's not gonna take a long time I've been fixing my sleeping schedule lately too it's doing great or I am door I was doing great but we'll get to that so yeah I just feel like okay let's still the tiny house and then tomorrow you can focus on something maybe a little bit bigger and maybe a little bit more detailed so on and so on so I sat down and then I saw that the only lot that I can actually build a tiny house is on the 20 by 15 I already built on that one so okay little side note the houses that I built during early early access or elf axes I actually have them in my game so they'll be uploaded to the gallery during the weekend I think I'll also upload them to my patreon as well for those of you who are pledged to me over there you'll get access to them as well that is sorted just wanted to give you guys a little bit of an update on that but yeah because that law is already taken by one of the builds and my current goal is to kind of read you the whole evergreen harbour so that I can release my second version of my save file I didn't want to rebuild on that law I didn't want to do a tiny house on that lot again so I decided to build on a 30 by 20 and that turned from one tiny house to two tiny houses to three tiny houses so I didn't get any sleep last night but it was worth it I got to play the sins I got to play with the new pack I got to build with it I hope you guys like these houses - I had a lot of fun making them I tried to make them all three look kind of different from each other but I did mainly use eco lifestyle furniture so they do look you know somewhat alike they kind of have the same interior style and such and such but I tried to go for different color schemes at least so you'll see the two houses right now next to each other kind of look alike when it comes to the house shape I changed that later on the one in the middle is half an ayah diagonal and half not on a diagonal so that looks completely different from the other two I had a lot of fun with that one actually it's been a long time since I last built on a diagonal so it was a little bit of a challenge but I had a lot of fun with it I hope you guys will like it and yeah generally just had a lot of fun with us even though I ended up not really getting much sleep but that's just how it is sometimes you know so anyways yeah that is what we're doing today we're building three different tiny houses using mostly eco lifestyle however since I've already done the base game plus eco lifestyle houses and because these are for the save file the save file is not pack restricted in any way I decided to just go a little ham but mainly use eco lifestyle because those items are new and shiny so of course I want to use those North and some of the older stuff that we have so it's mainly eco lifestyle but I'm still using the other pecs so I'm yeah that is what we're doing today and the first one is for one sim the house in the middle is for one sim but I did manage to fit in a double bed in the third house so you could have three households total on this or not like three controllable households but you could have say one household that you have living on this law and then have two different roommates or you could have four different Sims living on this law and then just control all of them they don't live together technically because they live in separate houses or separate tiny houses but that is a possibility you can do a lot of things with lots like this I think they're quite fun to build as well so and of course I also wanted to use the new letters that we got in the update which came out yesterday - I think so they all have like roof terraces one has a bar on there one has a grill actually and also lounge chairs and I think two of them also have some plant pots and stuff there's one with an easel on it so I just try to give them like different things they could do on their roof terraces they all have what's it called solar panels I did not use the candle making machine here or the fizzy drinks machine or the fabricator or whatever that item is called I didn't use any of those items on this lattice I've used them so many times on the other lots that I've done but I'll definitely use them in the in the future also let me know if you want to see more real-time building by the way I had a lot of fun doing those they do take a long time to edit just because I'm not used to recording them so it's kind of difficult to explain exactly why but it's because I'm not used to recording them so I just talk a lot there's a lot to cut out basically so but definitely let me know if you want to see more videos like this I have a lot of fun with them and I feel like I connect with you guys a little bit it sounds kind of cheesy but I do feel like I connect with you guys a little bit better when it's real time you can see me and I'm talking in real time nothing is like okay I don't script stuff what I talk or what I do boy supers either but I just feel like it's a little bit more real when it's real time I don't house explain it so definitely let me know if you want to see more videos like that I can definitely do some apartment renovations or tiny houses or I don't know smaller builds in general that don't take more than two hours or one and a half hours to do and also the challenge thank you for the feedback on the challenge that I did usually I don't know I get a little bit nervous doing them and also using them but you guys were so nice about it so and you thought it was fun as well and I had a lot of fun to record it we're recording it too I can't speak today so yeah definitely uh thank you a lot for that as well and I completely forgot to say at the start of the video we hit 200,000 the other day I didn't want to post about it because he was turned blog out Tuesday but I did post about it on Twitter yesterday and I don't know I just I'm so thankful like honestly 200,000 is crazy and I never thought that we'd get to this point like I never really thought we'd get anywhere with this channel not kind of lie so just thank you really thank you so freaking much I will continue making videos of course that's not gonna stop anytime soon because I love doing what I do and yeah let's just see where this goes this is a lot of fun let's just continue having fun it's time but um I just wanted to say thank you so so freaking much for that so I don't remember what the area that we're building and is called I think it's the quarry it's the one in the upper left side of the map so I think it's the quarry there's at least like a quarry behind this house somewhere so I think that's what the area is called though however I don't fully remember it's a new world it's been a while since I've seen it in my game or on my own computer in front of my own eyes so I just don't fully remember but I think that's what the area is called building on a 30 by 20 like I said earlier in the video and yeah I don't want to talk about how many things can be on this block has already mentioned all that stuff I just forgot to say what area we're building in but I think it's the quarry so the first house that we are doing it's this one I think I was going for more of like a medium brown kind of color scheme for this one so it's kind of it's almost orange II if you can say that and for I don't really know what they they don't have different hobbies in this like the different Sims living in these houses don't have different hobbies they're all very eco minded so they probably work on bettering the neighborhood and stuff like that's what their interest is basically I know it that you can have multiple interests real life don't worry about that but sometimes when I decorate and stuff it's just it's I don't know see easier but it's fun to just focus on one interest one hoppy one lifestyle fully instead of mixing the different ones so today we're just focusing on making all of their house it's very eco friendly and just trying to make it seem like eco-minded you say that eco-minded sims are living in these houses so they don't really have any hobbies other than not one easel that is on one of the-- rooftop terraces and there's also the bar and I think there's also a couple of fizzy drinks somewhere because of course I had to of course I had to include some fizzy drinks I am slightly obsessed with those fizzy drinks I don't really know what they're supposed to be are they like soda or because I know I know that in the UK soda is called fizzy drinks so I suppose they're different flavored drinks and then with whistles or bubbles so I think that's something like that but not fully certain though but there's a couple of those on one of the other rooftop terraces I think oh it's on the same what is the bar lot or the bar rooftop terrace whatever so they have like those that's basically the biggest difference between the two or the three houses except from the color schemes their rooftop terraces are aimed towards different kinds of Sims some like to drink a little bit more in the evenings some just like to sit there and have a picnic and the last ones like to sunbathe or paint so that's basically or those are the biggest differences between the households living in these three houses as for the rest of it it's basically just colors themes but you can definitely add to the interior and also the exterior if you want to you can redo the whole thing if you want to you can take out all the furniture and completely redecorate everything if you want to I've always completely fine with that because I know that whatever I built will not 100% suit your households because it's just not possible so you're always welcome to redecorate what I'm building always so while the house on the left side is more orange the house here in the middle I went for a bit of morph like a brown black kind of gray color scheme it's not one that I usually go for a lot because I don't like black and brown together for some reason I think it's because I once wore a pair of black jeans with a brown top and it just looked off and it bothered me the entire day so I just don't really use those two colors together or black a stone of color but whatever technicalities so um yeah but today I'm going for that color scheme it's good to try new things now and then I will say that the interior for this house is definitely a little bit more sleek compared to the other two I feel like I also had a little bit more space in this house also one thing I want to know that I forgot to say at the start of the video even though these are tiny houses it does not count us a tiny house incidental a lot simply because we're placing three tiny houses on one lot if I just had two tiny houses I could have made it so that you guys would get some benefits still from that lot type but because we're dealing with three tiny houses not 3 micro homes it's just not possible for me I would have had to build three micro homes and I still want it enough space to use as much furniture as possible except from the gameplay items that we got so I decided to just scrap the towel account completely so just ignore that word we're past that now but if you were wondering about that at the start of the video at some point I think of cam I might have changed it to just a normal residential lot type just because I wasn't gonna stick to the town count anyways and we'd already surpassed it I think as well so just uh I was kind of aware of it at the start of the video I did cheat the roofs as well because I don't feel like tiles on the exterior should count towards the child count so when it comes to rooftop terraces I cheat them so they don't count don't judge me but anyways so after that I just did not care anymore but let's just oh that's how that is no LOD type or what's the cold no tiny lot residential tiny law resident I don't remember what that a lot time is called but no benefits from that lot types so not today we did get new I think we got new traits though or a lot traits I think I have to go in game and check that at some point okay so I decided to actually just go in game and do that and we did get either four or five there's a couple of different ones I don't remember exactly what they do do but I did give this lot both eco lot I think it's called reduce and recycle and also something that gives I got them clear clean water or something like that there's a couple of different ones so you'll have to like either look at some kind of overview or going game and check it yourself if you have the pack but they definitely do something with gameplays so I think that is pretty cool I actually tend to forget about lot traits when I'm building so a lot of the lots that I upload to the gallery don't have any lot raids but I think that's also okay because then you guys get to decide and you don't have to change what I've done to the building stuff if I don't know if you're playing in a house with a family maybe you want good schools or something and I've given it some other trade vampire Lee or something that's not really fitting for you so yeah sometimes I just I don't know I tend to forget but I think it's okay as well for this one because I just checked I decided to just give the lot three different traits you can change it if you want to that's completely fine I don't know if I should do like thoughts on eco lifestyle considering I've already played with it for we got to play with it with with it we got to play with it for three to four days I think earlier this month just a very small group of us so I've already played with it for three to four days I actually got to play as well I did a little bit of gameplay on the very last day just because I didn't have enough time to do a build so I decided to just dig into the gameplay just a little bit to see what the gameplay is like basically I also wanted to see fire fire fighters I got a comment on one of my videos because I called them firemen that's because in Den they're called firemen so I just it's not a diss towards women by the way at all but that's just what they're called so that's why I just I kind of translated it to firemen in my head but they're called firefighters in English so I just wanted to see those again and I also wanted to see what I had to do to make furniture and stuff because that's one of the really cool aspects of this pack you can pick up trash or recycle furniture that you've had or I don't know other stuff you can do a lot of stuff to get new furniture or to make new furniture a lot of the stuff that I've used in these houses are actually crafted items that you can craft in-game so they're not from the normal build by catalog they're technically debug guidance you have to use one of the cheats to get access to them I think it's the show hidden objects cheat I could be wrong about that though because I always type in all the cheats before I start decorating so they're just kind of like I don't really remember what exactly each one does I do but not when it comes to new items because I always just type them in before I start decorating but I think it's the show hidden objects because they're debug they're kind of hidden they're hidden objects in the catalog so logically it should be that one I actually got a comment on one of the videos that I did during alpha access asking if I could build something using only crafted items I could do that except I would be missing some kitchen stuff and also some bathroom stuff but in general I could do that if that's something you want to see the the crafted items don't look bad at all by the way a lot of it looks like it's made out of plywood plywood plywood I think it's called plywood something or someone told me that or they wrote it so that's why I'm not really sure how to pronounce it it's like it's like that with a lot of English words by the way for me I know how it's spelt but I don't necessarily know how it's pronounced but um I think it's called plywood so I think a lot of the furniture is made out of that because it's the same kind of material use for IKEA furniture and I don't mind that at all I don't mind the look of it I just kind of tend to refer to it as what's called cardboard furniture but um it's not meant in a bad way at all but I could definitely do like a full interior just using the crafted items so if that's something you want to see I could record something like that it would be a lot of fun maybe we could do it in real time as well because it would probably be something smaller like a smaller house or a tiny house or something like that so let me know if that's something you want to see I will 100% consider it and yeah other than that I just got a lot of comments about the hot pink container wallpaper that I'm definitely going to use and also like more eco friendly tiny houses and stuff like that so we're well on our way to what's it called I lost the word just as I was about to say it story of my life - fulfilling some of the requests that you guys have given me so for the last house I decided to go for one of the colors one of the brown tones that's almost like the color that I went for for the first house this house is actually more orange because I decided to use the sort of like orange medium brown tone for the first houses but also mix it with a lot of like a paler kind of beige brown almost so for this house I mixed it with blue instead of the pale beige brown kind of color so we're going for kalak orange and blue and then white together I like the color scheme in this one because even though it's not a direct use of color cuz it's technically just a wood it's still a very colorful interior because it's so Orange II the wood so does that make sense like it's just kind of colorful but not not directly a one thing I forgot to mention which house is it I think it's them no it's not the medium house it might be this house actually that has the worst of you in the morning or it might be the first house there's one of the houses that literally has a view over one of the alleys in it must be this one because you can see it yeah there's a huge window in front of the double bed so the huge window if you look through it you can see a nelly like between the houses the house shells in the background and it's just filled with trash I love it just imagine waking up in the morning and that's the first thing you see like because I don't feel like these houses are necessarily trashy if that makes sense I think they're definitely more well evolved or I'm not exactly sure how to explain that but you know when you're playing the pack I don't actually know if I've explained this or if they explained this in the gameplay trailer I think they explained it on the livestream but in case you didn't watch the livestream so when you play the pack and you're trying to make a better neighborhood you're trying to improve your neighborhood different things will change around the neighborhood as you're improving it as you're you know installing these different action plans and one of them is that everything turns a little bit greener you could also turn it towards the more industrial vibe instead of the more eco green vibe that's also a possibility if you want to but if you go for the eco green vibe or the eco green action plans everything will turn a little bit more plants and a little bit greener and in my mind a little bit nicer because I like the plants so I think these houses because there's so much grass on this lot and also on the rooftop terraces also on the roof on the middle house and there's a lot of plants around the houses too this would definitely fit one of the like this would definitely fit more of like an eco green action plan neighborhood a neighborhood where they've installed a lot of the eco green action plans that's basically what I'm trying to say or they've implemented a lot of the eco green action plans so I feel like this this lot the three tiny houses that I have here if it's a neighborhood with a lot of those section plans in place however the backyard yet le as it is I always say yolly the backyard Elias is right now in Mike because I haven't changed the action plans in this neighborhood that much a little bit but not that much so there's a lot of like trash lying around it's not super nice to look at but I think if you improve it even further it'll definitely look a lot nicer so I think what we're doing from now on is basically we're gonna do a lot of landscaping because like I said before I ended up using quite a lot of plans around the houses we're also fixing the rooftop terraces even though they didn't really take that long to do also the house on the right side actually has the insect homes so you can have what aren't they there are grubs and I think they're called grubs those are the worms the big worms and there are also two other different books you can have there but all I should have placed one of the the do collector down somewhere airship it actually started raining at some point I was really afraid that I was going to turn into an acid rain but then it didn't because this is a nice neighborhood I think acid rain is mostly going to appear in more industrial neighborhoods so by standard if you like if you start the game right now cuz obviously like you would cuz you haven't had the chance to change anything what am I talking about anyways if you start the game right now so in a default like evergreen Harbor as default would have one neighborhood that's going towards more eco green vibe there is also a neighborhood that one in the middle port promise that's more industrial and then on the right side i don't remember i think it's called conifer station it's more neutral so i don't know if you have to make it really industrial like don't quote me on this cuz i didn't actually get to see acid rain when i played the game earlier this month last month because it's june now hello what happened with time anyways but i think you have to turn a very industrial for it to actually start to rain acid or for acid rain to start i've never experienced that phenomenon and real life by the way cuz like i dead mark is very green so I just haven't um but I believe it's a real thing just don't hate me for not fully knowing because again I've not experienced it we don't even have earthquakes here like we have nothing here this this country weather-wise is so boring so there's nothing happening weather-wise here anyways but yeah you can have a citrine I think it's in the more like if your area if your neighborhood is super industrial that'll happen but if it's not and it starts raining the dew collector can actually pick up the rain and you can use it for consumption on your luck watch not on your luck on your lot so the solar panels will produce electricity but the dew collector gives you water or it collects some water than you can use for consumption on your lot so I think there is also the water pump but that's the thing with the the buck houses because you can use the the buck house is to collect biofuel they can use for the power generators and also the water pump but you don't need to use biofuel for the dew collector because it collects the water automatically since it collects water from the rain just hope for some rain melon then and also the solar panels you don't need biofuel fuel for those either because they collect or generate electricity automatically as well because the Sun so hope for sunny weather that doesn't that's kind of contradicting but just hope that everything goes great right anyways hope for varied weather is all I have to say it wasn't an issue when I was playing the game but I just I don't know I thought I'd share just a little bit from what I've learned from playing the game for a couple of hours because I know that a lot of the or not a lot but I've seen questions here and there like how do you do this and how do you do that how do you make furniture craft furniture in the game because there's a lot of different things to this pack to actually figure out it's not it's not as easy as some of the other packs has been it's a little bit more you have to think a little bit more and I like that I like that quite a lot actually so also when you're playing the game and this actually counts for us builders too so when you're playing the game on a lot it actually looks different now there's a little bar down at the bottom of the screen where you can see your eco footprint so that could turn either it could stay neutral which is at the start but it could also turn green and it could turn industrial and whatever you use to build a lot with will actually affect that I think so for example I try to go for more green rooftop tiles for this build the houses on the left side here is actually using one that has an industrial footprint but the other two houses which is the the little bit that I'm using on like the pop-out bit on the right build that is actually what's it called it's generating electricity but the other rooftop or the other roof tiles that I'm using on that build and also of course the grass have a footprint like a green footprint so there's a lot of different things to figure out also when it comes to wooden floors which is something I only noticed when I was building yesterday do you now have a fire rating warning or some that a warning but it says fire rating 10 or fire like it's amazing like danger of fire is a 10 so that's something to take into consideration now - there's a lot of things that's been added in this update and also with this expansion pack and I'm kind of nervous about it I kind of want to go something off the grid sometime soon because they also fixed a lot of that I don't know I'm really excited about it there's a lot of your things and it's just it's exciting gameplay wise but it's also exciting for us builders and how it ties in to gameplay and I'm really looking forward to digging into that a little bit more than I have already so cuz there will there were a lot of things that I didn't notice when I had the elf access or the early early access so definitely looking forward to checking out that a little bit more here in the coming days and also I know that I kind of went on a rant about gameplay but worth in the screenshots now but I do feel like I have to point out that at the top of the comments there are different resources linked on the master list as well because there's a lot of happening around the world right now especially in the US and I feel like it's just important to support our
