hey everyone welcome back to my channel this is amber and i want to thank you so much for clicking on this video we're going to be making the easiest mini album ever today in this video and anybody can do this it's so fun so i'm just going to jump right into the tutorial this is super easy what you're going to need for this is six pieces of 12 by 12 scrapbook paper now in my videos i get a lot of questions about scrapbook paper like if it's what weight paper is it is it stock is it just paper so normally when i use scrapbook paper it's the pattern card stock but in this case i picked up six pieces of the open stock paper at hobby lobby and this paper is just regular copy paper weight it's nice and thick but it's not card stock so it's like a very nice quality printer or copy paper weight so i picked up six pieces two of each pattern and we're gonna make the cutest easiest mini album ever let's go ahead and get started so i'm starting off with two pieces here and these are the same prints you're gonna want three different prints but six pieces so you're going to leave one at the 12 by 12 size so just stick that aside and the other one you're going to cut down to eight and a half inches so let me just do that i'll cut this down to eight and a half hold on to this scrap right here because you might need it for decorating your album but you're gonna take this eight and a half by twelve piece and put it with your other 12 by 12 piece so now you're gonna do this to the other two so patterns your first set of papers and here's my 12 by 12 here's my eight and a half by 12. you're just going to flip this 12 by 12 over and you want to adhere this one half an inch overlapped on the other piece so you can either use a ruler i'm just going to use my craft mat here because it gives me the inches on here so i'm just going to add adhesive to a half an inch on the edge here and another thing is my atg gun is a quarter inch so i know i only have to do two strips of adhesive and i'm just going to lay it over that half an inch half an inch mark and if there's any excess glue i can just swipe that off so here's what it looks like now it looks like one long piece so now i'm going to take these two sets and do the same exact thing okay so i've glued all of my pages together so now i have three big pages so now it's super easy you're just gonna take them one at a time treat them you know like one big sheet and you're just gonna fold them just take this and fold it long ways make sure that it's super even you can use your bone folder to crease down those folds then once you fold it like that you're going to take it and fold it in half this way super easy okay so now we've got it nice and creased that way then take it and you're gonna fold it back like this again meeting that edge then turn it around and fold this one back and we've got it all folded now just make sure it's nice and creased down and it's nice working with this thin paper because it folds really nice so now you've got this and you've got this cute little w or m and now we're at this point and i've made albums like this before but using only one piece of 12 by 12 or an eight and a half by 11 and i wanted to make it a little bit of a bigger size so now you've got it all folded up and you're gonna take it and kind of unfold it so there's four panels the fold is over here and the opening is over here and these two middle panels need to have an opening on the top so you can do one of two things you can either just take your scissors and cut a little slit right there or what i like to do is open this up and then fold it like this okay let me do that again so you've got it here all the four panels here with the fold over here in the opening over here so you open it up and fold it like this and now all you have to do is cut this so you're going to take your scissors and cut down this score line then you can open it back up and fold it like it was so here it is so then you have these four panels to where you need these two to have an opening and that's what i did so what i did to cut that into an opening is i opened it up and i folded this in half and just did the scissors like that so then you would just open it back up fold it long ways like we did and you're back to your four panels now you're looking at it from the top and this is the fold this is where we cut that strip off so you're just going to separate that and push these together like this so now there's four little sections here you're going to push these two towards the one that's in your hand and just bring this one around that's the way i do it i think others do may do it differently but i do it that way and then i just take my bone folder and crease everything down and now we have a little book forming so that was super easy i'm going to completely open this up and this is this is the back of it so you don't need double double-sided paper for this because one side isn't going to show at all and i'm just going to take some wet glue and i'm going to glue all these pages i'm just going to add wet glue to all the edges and use wet glue for this because you're going to need time to make it straight and i'm just going to add some wet glue to the middle part don't put too much glue because you don't want it to get warped so now that you have your glue you're just going to kind of put this back together so fold it long ways again and then kind of press these down but don't press the middle ones down because you're going to open it back up do the same thing open this up press these together bring these around and now you can press it all down because the glue is going to go ahead and adhere all those pages and it'll dry and you can turn the pages and just kind of use your bone folder to make sure everything is glued down and all the edges are down okay so now our first little part of our album is done so here it is you can leave it like this this makes a great uh mini album on its own i think this is gonna be so cute okay so there's our first little book i'm going to set this one aside so i've got all three of the little books done and now we're going to glue these together so i just want to figure out what my cover is going to be i think i want it in this order so first thing you do is just turn this one around and add some wet glue not too much i like to add it to the edges first and then do a little bit in the middle so then you take your second book and you are going to glue that to the first one and then the reason we're using wet glue is so we can get this super straight because it gives you time to move it around make sure the spines are exactly lined up with each other and then just press that down i like to go to the last page here and just make sure it's nice and glued down so then you're just going to turn it over and do the same thing on here add your glue take your last little book and you're just going to glue that down so again make sure the spines are lined up perfectly okay so now all that's glued so i'm gonna set this aside to dry for just a second and pull in my scraps i'm gonna use this dark piece here and i'm gonna cut this down to six by one this is going to be for the spine so i've got this piece for the spine i'm just going to do a very thin strip of atg right by that edge on the left side here for the spine and i'm just going to lay this piece right down over the atg adhesive and the reason i do it like this is so i can choose how far i want the spine to go on the front page okay so that looks good and then i'm just going to turn it over and fold it back to the side and i'm only going to add adhesive to the very edge of this spine piece because i don't want this part to be glued down because then it'll make the book too stiff so i'm just going to do one strip you can use wet glue for this if you want right at the edge of that spine piece and bring it around and glue it right down so our little book looks so cute it's coming together really nice i'm gonna take my bone folder to make sure that is all the way adhered i don't want any of it coming up and i'm just going to leave this part soft with no adhesive so now our cute mini album has come together let's do a flip through so remember all these pages are glued together so it makes it thicker too so that's nice and you can put photos in here so pretty and then here's our next little section and then here's this pretty floral section you can put so many things on these pages i think that turned out so pretty so i'm just going to decorate it now just a little bit because we have our scraps here and i'll pull a couple things from my stash so sit back and enjoy as i decorate our cute little album do so okay you guys so our cute little mini album is all finished i added some seam binding to close it and the seam binding is from my favorite etsy shop my scrap cabin i'll have it linked below in case you want to go over there she has seriously every color you can think of and her same binding is such high quality and so beautiful so i just used these three colors here to close the mini album so let's go ahead and take a look at the finished album so this is just removable and i did a very simple cover i just use a scrap piece of cardstock it was actually patterned on the other side but i used the white side so i could lay down this die cut so i got these die cuts from hobby lobby as well and i think they're beautiful they're really nice and thick they're almost like chipboard and then i just stuck the sticker from my stash in the middle so it's got like some foiled purple script on here to kind of match that other purpley page and then i love the floral wreath it's so pretty so then you just open it and i very simply just decorated the inside a little bit i put a die cut here on this pocket you could put lots of goodies in there um journaling cards or really anything more photos and then i just left most of the pages blank for photos you could decorate this up as much as you want and then this is another pocket i just made a cute little pouch with a journaling spot and stuck it in there with some of the scraps from the paper super easy and like i said you could stick more stuff in that pocket and then i just left these blank here's a die cut that you can use as a cute little pocket i left it open here so you could slip photos or journaling spots in there and then here's this beautiful part here's another pocket it's a side loading pocket with a cute die cut right here those die cuts are beautiful and then there's the end i think that this turned out so pretty and it was so easy to make and i love the size um by gluing those two pages together it gives us a bigger size of an album this is five by six instead of the little micro size which are also very cute i hope that you enjoyed this video everybody and if you did i would love for you to give me a thumbs up and consider subscribing if you haven't already so i hope that this inspired you to go out and make a really fun mini album it was super easy and i'll see you very soon in the next video thanks again everyone bye you
