good morning or evening or afternoon depending whenever you're watching this video if you're to be driving around in Texas stopping off to get gas a common breakfast food you might find are Kachi now I believe the origins are from CA Slovakia I'm not sure but if you know please just go ahead and answer that in the comments and so today we're going to show you how to make them in a dutch oven so you know when you're on your next camp out and what you want for breakfast you're going to know how to make these okay weather's not cooperating outside normally we using our camp stove so what I'm going to need you to do is go ahead and heat up 13 cup of milk you're going to need some yeast pourn your yeast and one4 cup of sugar or actually 1/8 cup sugar yes and go ahead and stir this this is going to have to set for about 5 minutes minutes one thing I didn't mention it's important make sure that milk is about 115 fahit now we'll leave all the instructions and the notes below now we're going to use half a teaspoon of salt go ahead and mix that in there we're going to use three tablespoons of butter make sure it's already melted and two beaten eggs and go ahead and just kind of mix this up and we're going to go ahead and toss this in the flour in a minute and sure it's just good mixed up now this isn't my recipe this is just one I found online that I really really like and just has some of the best results now I'm go ahead and get that R mixed up go ahead and move this and then pour right in there now once you get this all mixed up it's going to have to sit for about 30 minutes so make sure this is good and mixed up and give it that 30 minutes and set in a warm place before we uh get started okay it's been a little more than 30 minutes uh we've had a chance to let the dough rise uh we need next step is to cut this into six sections we got some smoked cheddar sausage in which we're going to be wrapping these with uh it's also important to make sure these come up to room temperature cuz as you're cooking if these are cold it's going to allow that dough not to cook all the way through so we've cut our dough into six sections now unlike pigs in the blanket we are going to cover the entire sausage so I'm going to kind of you know make sure the ends are completely covered and just kind of roll it up just like you do pigs in the blanket except we're going to make sure it is completely covered from end to end and what we're going to do is we're going to set these to the side and let them rise for an additional 20 minutes okay we've given a little bit more time for this dough to rise around the sausage we're going to go ahead and put some egg wash on it now make sure you do this on the bottom and top as well and then we'll go ahead and put these in the Dutch oven we're using a 12in shallow Dutch oven for today I've used a little bit of butcher paper this is to absorb a little bit of the grease that will and neverly come out so now let's go ahead and put this outside and put some coals on [Music] it [Music] now I got 13 barquettes on top and six on the bottom and that's pretty standard you're going to have about half of what you would have on top on the bottom heat rises so I need more coals on top than I do on the bottom that heat on the bottom is just hitting the duty oven so just keep that in mind as you're cooking [Music] good to go okay we've removed the coals off the Dutch oven we've brought them back inside let's take a gander at them and tell me what you all think now with this little board I mean this little paper you can just pull them right on out to get a good look right there we're going to let them cool down and we're going to take a bite and see what we got okay I've let these cool down I've cut one and half just work on my figure a little bit let's go ahead and take a bite very very good now I typically have these with ketchup but eat these with whatever you want now let me know is this something you've ever made during camping or how many of you guys are going to actually do this on your next camp out let us know in the comments below now if you like this channel give it a like And subscribe and have you've ever done these before let us know that'd be kind of cool this is Adam with t260 and have a wonderful camping day
