Duck Hunting 2018: Swimmers

[Music] what a morning this is going to be curls coming back baby [Music] freaking smash the man goes what accounts I'm your guy you know the speak baby today but hunts not gonna hit because of it [Music] Jordans got his first gadwall of his life that's cool right shot - I shot - well here we are day - Jordan from Dutton Chronicles is here you want to check out his channel I'll put a link here and then down in the description - he's gonna have these hunts coming out as well he's videoing might be a few days after mine we'll see how quickly get his crap done and this is actually my podcast partner he created duck gun podcast and when did I join up on that like we started you started January and I joined in February do you start February and I start January so we've been going for every single Tuesday we've been recording and we put out two podcasts a week and it's rising up the iTunes charts pretty well in it you know we're doing pretty good in the outdoor section so if you have not checked out our podcast make sure that you go over get little golden boy he's some reason we're stuck with him again today softer better do some golden actions earn your keep got some swimmers [Music] buzzer gadwall so far out father one zakat across guys better freaking like shoot six she called out dude oh my gosh [Applause] three is he go get her buddy gets that one on the water get him diver he go go go go go I start one and then I thought I cleaned up another one i CLE got four down I thought I only think I hit - yeah so we got two each yeah nice nice start hike i crumpled - with one shot everybody on the water so I know I need in water clock okay he-he'll this hey hey over-over go get it go get good curling well that's gonna win start your first yeah good girl Izzie oh I got all my man that's awesome never seen one of these before yeah they got the really nice black white and dark brown patches on their wings when they can get more mature man that's a hint all right come on buddy that's just like a wad of - don't ever set up a jerk trick ladies and gentlemen it's a waste of your time and energy that's terrible good girl is he yeah [Applause] they won't pull apart at all no they're a complete mangled woman that web just gets it up - leave it well Jordans got his first gadwall of his life that's cool right my first two gadwal's another shot - I shot - never shot a gadwall before apparently Indiana only has Maui [Applause] look at this head he's not doing well yeah I think those were Scott I've not shot a Scott for five to six years I haven't see him for five six years nice the bill I'm pretty sure I'm off to a bad start we've yet to get any mallards and hopefully they'll we can get some mallards in here and we are having ducks that are going down to the corner to the left instead of coming here but we've got the four gadwal's in it what I believe is a hidden Scott we got a pretty sunset but that suckers gonna be no smack in her face I totally messed up my directions I thought it was gonna come up here that's coming up there we have not had as much knowledge no minutes we expected what we saw yesterday more than yesterday they just begun they're just getting started made it out the field they'll come in and they four more for my prediction I'm looking pretty good no passion on divers so we did the old freelance decoy switcheroo you know before like even eight o'clock I think every cuz we were facing right in the Sun we're still facing right in the Sun even though we moved to avoid the Sun ding-ding-ding that's just so stupid that we moved everything to avoid looking into the Sun and somehow we're still looking right into the Sun at least for shooting a lot more birds Wow we've moved out of the eighth frame because the colors we have on the a-frame worked really well where we were yesterday but we felt like with the Sun right on it it looked really out of place and bright so we just have the wrong colorations of brush on it so we just decided to we've got a lot of what these trees are a lot of little trees and pickets in here that we're sitting under and we feel like we're more covered with that but is it close enough for Jordyn to kill kill him Jordyn are you gonna pound that Merc answer Jordan [Applause] well old Jordan and Aiden were bound and determined they were gonna shoot this common Merganser now it's women halfway across the lake I will say they shot at it about four times and from what I could tell every single shot covered it honestly that's been my experience with common meringue answers the suckers are hard to bring down not easy so Aidan's gonna get the boat and pick it up so we've got let me show you the birds real quick move well here are the gadwal's I don't know where the Scop is it's somewhere in here the gadwal's got one this one's nice that's not a bad little Drake not a bad little Drake it doesn't have much rest on its wing it doesn't have much rest on its wing but luckily those birds swam in first light and we were able to kill those four it would be one crappy day I don't know there he goes to chase this merganser I know it came back to life it dove he's got it doesn't he yep [Music] you got it well saving the trout one Merganser at a time apparently you know it's gonna be a delicious snack [Music] both running well she was a tough little sucker she did let's see her not the biggest prize they're kind of cool-looking Big Bird's [Music] mm-hmm they're big birds look at their there they're like the serrated bill it's not like teeth it's like well mission accomplished Jorden trout saved Jordan has been hates Merganser cuz they eat all his trout in Indiana and he wants them all dead every single one if you could eradicate them and like to extinction what you do though and they want them dead well that was exciting we can say that right a bit of excitement yeah and my two hunts with Jordan we have shot eight ducks and a common Merganser so certainly it's not our worst chunks of the season but out of the 18 19 hunts I'd say these two hunts definitely rank them towards the bottom end so we were really hoping to have some good hunts with Jordan here but it just didn't happen so but and enjoyed him what he saw his first catwalk yeah he shot his first gadwal's he saved some trout from the clutches of a female common Merganser got to see what kansas was like so it's been great having don't forget to go over and check out his channel duck gun chronicles I'll put a link to it and don't forget to check out our podcast duck gun podcast it's gaining some traction we got quite a few people listening to those episodes so make sure to tune in see everything that we've done on pod being or Google Play or iTunes so we'll be back at it I got Christmas break coming up so we're gonna be hitting them hopefully a bunch of hunts and we will get on the birds again but thank you for joining us you got any final thoughts no thanks for having me it's a blast yeah this won't be my last time in Kansas I don't think any day you shoot your first duck of that species is a good day yeah shot two of them yep all right little golden link Goldilocks I'm not staying here he's going to the marshes huh Jordans got a nine hour drive so we got to get him
