Dubai prison inmates share their experiences in jail during Ramadan

[Music] do you see a different atmosphere in the jail during Ramadan yes the the inmates they come more quiter the we don't have any incident in Ramadan all the people is they come with a good mood and Ramadan all the people here with Muslims they are gathering together they are sitting together with each other it's very good warm atmosphere for the inmates inside for their footwork and for sahur also [Music] [Applause] we are trying our best to provide for the inmates in Ramadan but the problem is the people here they are missing their family they are not seeing their children so we hope here insha'Allah every inmates having his star with his family then experiential [Music] not all the people who are having here there are criminals there is a lot of people are good people a great people here we have and I hope they have they have the chance to get back to the community again and living their life and better way so far it's my first time that I saw a jail and what hurt but I heard from people who visited yet before we are here lucky this place is clean very clean and also our section is a financial section is very nice Ramadan always a good time Ramadan usually was a family unfortunately not the family not here my wife and my son living in Dubai but I haven't seen them for one and a half year and my son is two years old and he doesn't know his father but next week in sha Allah he will come here and I was sitting first time every night we prepare a software big after meal and we sit all together we are 60 people in our Amber's we sit all together and break the iftar and then we go for prayer and after that we eat it's it's it's nice it's our second family right now I meant a lot of people a lot of good people a lot of business people I learned a lot a lot I really changed of course I hope this Ramadan I did world of jail so it's a very good Ramadan 2018 during Ramadan my complainer was also Muslim who didn't want to give me tannaz or agreed now to make a deal so it means even for him this holy month changed him to make a deal to get me out of jail so I hope in the next two to three months I will be out no no I stay in Dubai I love this country I'm staying in Dubai for the last ten years so I will continue I will start my new business but this time I will not read checks [Music] you know I had ten years of having my company the problem is that I didn't calculate for certain things but at the same time it's mix of everything it's mixed of mix of knowledge mix of mix of just just not understanding the Lego structure here of course and not only the mode on all the time because my daughter is so small you know she always asked me when you're getting home daddy so what can I only reply her is that I'm working I'm trying to to come home as soon as I can so thanks a lot that they are okay and they give me the power to stay and to to my wife that thanks for her that she saw strong woman that she can do this you know she's not working she can't because two kids a household and my documents and this and that she she's unable to work there's no way she can do anything so we are a dependence on friends basically all financial dependencies on from friends to enjoy we are just sitting and waiting and and just praying to God you know being told that something will happen that basically will get you the chance to to fix anyway because this is our duty I mean as Muslims you have to fix it you have financial problem you have to fix it so I just not run away I became Muslim in the jail so I definitely I definitely feel happy and always joy however you know I experienced you know Ramadan only in the jail so I cannot tell how it is outside but of course with the family to be much different level definitely when I come to jail and I felt that you know God you know given me really everything because I had two shops in Dubai Mall I had so many things and perhaps I didn't appreciate it well as much as I should so when I came to jail I just felt I have to give back which is no money related nothing it just you pray on time you pray and you give your heart you know and and he will take care of everything just God bless everybody and and and they don't have to go to with their families with their kids in such such a difficult times and experience very very hard moments and stay faithful stay always in the right path do not end have been such a difficult moment but even this must be you know a test or something so we just have to stay strong and love each other [Music] it's a month for introspections of all the months for the people who are practicing it so we join in in discussions and in group discussions [Music] are there in your family my wife my children my parents intimately come in and out of the country while this situation is going to have four children and you know it's very difficult but can you say that I've missed him a lot and I wish I could spend this time with them [Music] [Music] because of the sentiment at the time at this time of the year people tend to share a lot of us try and raise money from outside through our friends and family and we try and donate food to people who are in here who perhaps can't afford the things that you would buy them as I said the sandwich kenty so what we do is we contact friends and family we sell them there look per head this is how much it would cost to feed a person if star interval and they gather money together and they put it into one of our accounts or several of our accounts and we then buy it and then we distribute it amongst those people from a young age you're taught that Ramadan is a time of realizing what people are going through around the world there are several things that you you get out of Ramadan for me personally especially after this experience one of them is as I said soul-searching and understanding yourself but definitely finding the ability for self constrain the ability to control your your emotions control other parts of your life and obviously get closer to God aroma lung cream enjoy your time with your family and appreciate it that's something that I've learned from here you [Music]
