Drop rates & Stack Sizes | Valheim Mod Tutorial | Solo & Dedicated Server

what's up my name is tank number here for troubleshoot and welcome back to another video this video is a two in one plug-in video not only am i going to show you how you can customize loot drops to get two or ten or however many times the drums that you'd normally get but i'll also show you how to get bigger item stacks which is something that you'd usually pair with raised item drops it's super simple and we'll get into that right now so before we get into this video you will need weapon x installed basically it's another mod that functions as a modded manager and it's what most of the plugins available on nexus mods and a couple of other places use if you don't already have benex installed check the description down below for a video on how to do that so to begin with this video let's go ahead and download not only the loot multiplier but also the bigger item stacks mod in the description down below you'll find both of these mods so let's begin with bigger item stack basically it allows us to have bigger item stacks customized by multipliers it's super simple though something you should pay attention to is if you adjust the size to be bigger and then make it smaller you'll lose the items in the stack that are extras so you can't have 100 wooden logs if the max stack is 50. the stack will be reduced to 50 so you had a stack of 75 beforehand but anyways simply head across to this nexus mods page in the description down below and head across to the files tab at the very top after doing this we simply look for the latest release undo main files and then click manual download but unfortunately you'll need to create an account and log in first and there we go after logging in simply just click slow download and the file will start downloading all you have to do is wait for this timeout to complete and you'll be downloading the zip then head across to the next link in the description down below where you'll find the loot multiplier mod this one is almost exactly the same it also requires a bepin x but all we have to do is head across to the files tab once again and then click manual download next to the latest one on the list you'll see webinax is required just click download anyway then once again slow download and eventually we'll be downloading a zip file so now that we've got both bigger items stack and loot multiplier downloaded let's get to installing these to install bigger item stack simply open it up and we have a dll file inside of a zip all we need to do is drop this into the paper next plugins folder inside of our game or service directory so let's go ahead and do that i'll go ahead and right click valheim in my steemit library manage and then browse local files inside of this new folder that opened up you can see i've already got weapon x installed i'll open it up and open up the plugins folder then simply drag and drop the bigger item stack across from one file to the other then to install the loot multiplier open up the zip once again and you'll have a plugins folder all we have to do is open up the plugins folder and we have a loot multiplier followed by loot multiplier.dll and then simply drag the dll across from the zip into your plugins folder it's super simple now that we've finished installing the plugins let's go ahead and launch up the actual game once so the config files can generate once the game starts up i'll simply quit open up the weapon x folder and then go into the config folder inside of here unac loot multiplier and bigger item stack opening up the elude multiplier file we can customize our drops i'll say we'll get a say four times material drop meaning when we break a tree we'll get four times the drops when we get a drop it'll be multiplied by the number here so usually these are mob drops i'll say 4 as well pickup multiplier i'll make it say just 2. i'll go ahead and save this file and our loot multiplier plugin has been updated i can close it and then open up the bigger item stack file as well item mac stack multiplier 2 weight multiplier 1. let's go ahead and make the max item stack say 4 because we've got 4 times the drop rate and we'll make the weight multiplier say 2 meaning that we should be able to carry twice as much before we aren't able to move at all i'll save it and close the config file then head back to the velham folder and launch velham once again this time we'll actually play so as you can see i'm encumbered i think i might have done this the wrong way around let's leave this where it is you can see my weight is 576 out of 300 let's quit out of the game head back to the config folder bigger item stack and let's make the weight multiplier say 0.5 this makes a bit more sense launch up the game once again now we should be able to carry 2 times the amount as every item weighs half as much i thought that that was the total but i seem to be incorrect there we go i'll hit tab and you can see my weight is now 144. yes that seems to be what it was it's now being divided by two instead of multiplied by two but that also confirms that the plug-in is working as expected let's go ahead and do something interesting i'll go ahead and drop my rocks and smash this rock over here usually you'd get i think two or three but i got seven from one from a tree you should get two halves and then i'll break one of the halves and i should get a ton from this there we go 40 wood that is a huge amount compared to the usual that you usually get i think you'd probably get about 10 per log but now you can see 93 out of 200 awesome let's quickly slay this mob and we should get four resin from it there we go usually you'd only get one the drop multiplier is working so is the material multiplier and of course also the carrying multiplier now if i were to get a stack way above the usual default max for a stack which as you can see everything's been multiplied by four everything that's above the default max will be destroyed if i decide to uninstall these mods and i'm not too sure what happens if i join a server that doesn't support these either way you should make sure that the server has the plugin installed and it's configured the same way as your client now let's assume that you'd like to join a server that a friend of yours isn't hosting say a dedicated server instead of joining their game where they have this plugin installed and configured the same as yours yes you'll need to share the config files with each other and of course the plugins as well you'll all need to install the same plugins and share the configs so that you can all carry and use equal amounts i don't think it's synced through a server so speaking of servers what about a dedicated server getting your friend to host the server and joining them is easy enough if they have the same config as you thing should work just fine but a dedicated server runs in a separate program all we have to do in this case is navigate across to where the dedicated server is installed i've got mine installed through steam so i'll right click manage browse and we're dropped into the server files directory inside of here you can see i have web x installed as well i'll open it up open up the plugins folder and i have some files in here let's go ahead and copy across the plugin files both bigger item stack and loot multiplier into the servers folder and i'll go into the config and copy across my existing configs from here as such there we go now when we fire up the server it should have all my mods installed including the loot multiplier and bigger item stack let's go ahead and do that i'll go ahead and fire up my launcher.bat which not only starts the server with plugins installed by webinx but also umod plugins if you'd like to learn how to install umod server side only plugins check the description down below for a tutorial on that it's really cool now that my server is starting up with not only valham plus but also these other mods let's go ahead and join it just to make sure things work properly i'll also install vallam plus copy the plugin files across and of course the config 2. there we go now of course certain plugins may not be compatible with other plugins but there shouldn't be an issue here i'll go ahead and open up my steam server browser then the favorites tab and i'll join at localhost which is where i'm hosting this on my own computer i'll enter my password and join the server there we go now i've loaded into the world and if i hit tab you should see that my items are still being multiplied they are 200 stack let's go ahead and verify that by chopping down a tree already i think you can tell that there's more logs than before it's also a bit laggier as i'm running in windowed mode but regardless there we go i now have 137 logs out of 200 and they'll all work just fine because the server and i have the plugins installed and configured to be the same awesome let's quickly see what happens if i delete my config in my local game files and see if we grab the service config by just joining it so i'll delete the configs and i'll join the server once again by default everything should be reset back to a normal default stack size but let's see if the plugins grab the settings from the server files maybe and there we go i've now joined the server as you can see i'm already carrying too much and everything's been dropped back down to the default stack size all of the extra items i've lost so yes you all do need the exact same plugins installed as the person who's hosting or the dedicated server and you all need the same config files so do make sure to share them between yourselves if you're playing with friends that's about it for this video hopefully you found
