hi guys and welcome back our focus now in today's episode a car review you can probably tell from the inside of this car that it is indeed a market Ford Fiesta ST this one belongs to dream science automotive up in Hull the reason I'm in this car is because I've taken my mark - RS certs have a service done so they're going to be doing the cam belt water pump just doing a health check on the car and also adjusting the exhaust for me because it's as you'd probably know from the previous videos it's been knocking around the the cat area so it's a good opportunity for me to get out in one of their development cars this Ford Fiesta ST I thought it'd be good to show you guys what it's all about talk about modifications that the cars running and how it feels to drive really driven a couple of these now I've driven a stock one I drove the Scorpion demo car which is running the Puma speed maxed out map so it's always good to kind of compare tuners and how their cars kind of feel against each other and also how it feels compared to stock now this car is running a development map so there is actually an Ultima and an Ultima to map already out for this car on the dream science well the dream science website that's available this cars running those maps now this one is actually running the Ultima 2 plus map this map is producing in the region of 265 brake horsepower and bolt ons to complement that map at the moment we've got a stage three front-mount intercooler a huge inner corner up front we've got a an N fire intake scoop it's obviously direct some nice cold air into the intake system there isn't an induction kit in the making it's almost ready to go on they're just doing a final a couple of final tweaks on that so this car is currently running the stock induction kit but imminently the new induction kit will land I believe it's one of the the biggest induction kits on the market for this car so stay tuned for that that is coming very shortly we're also running a turbo down pipe a decal but then we've got the standard GP f and the standard GPS back exhaust system so that's the sit performance wise exterior mods we're running the the usual dream science touches so we've got the handle in pack so we've got 20 mil kW Springs running spaces I believe we've got 10 mil was on the front and 12.5 mil spaces on the rear just to give it that nice kind of hunkered down stance and then exterior wise we're also got a few decals from dream science just to kind of show where the car comes from basically so yeah I thought I'd take a trip to the seaside we're not too far from the coast here I've punched in a nice little seaside town what I think it's a nice little seaside town but the route looks quite nice through some back roads I've driven this car for about 20 minutes now I've been in normal mode but I believe all the party pieces happen in sport mode and race mode and that's where also this two-plus map comes into its own because when you when you go into race mode you get an overrun feature which obviously you can turn off by going into normal mode the cylinder deactivation system on this class where it goes from three cylinders to two cylinders is the activated because it can make me the the car sound quite rough when you're kind of going at slow speeds and allegedly it can actually use more fuel with the constant deactivation and activation of the cylinders so that's the activated you've also got launch control which is a constant feature so obviously if you pull up at some traffic lights will just come to a standstill launch control is always active so rather than fill it around going through the menus you've always got launch control there which is a nice feature obviously standard features when you go into race mode you get your increased frot or mapping just to make it more responsive now typically the rain it seems to always land on me when I arrive here to review their cars when I reviewed the Focus ST last time it tipped it down moraine and the roads kind of greasy at the minute so it's not too bad but it has been raining and it is far from ideal so we've obviously got quite a lot of horsepower at the front wheels but we'll have to see how it goes so before we put it into race mode and kind of open up a tap so to speak these Springs the ride is quite firm but it's not overbearing it's not it's not horrendous to be fair it doesn't really feel much different to the standard ride and the fist arrestee they are quite firm anyway then I want to strike into the corners yet but hopefully we will find out soon but anyway enough blabbering I think what we need to do is we need to put it straight in the racetrack mode you can fill the car so it forward with the throttle map in you should get pops and bangs now I haven't actually accelerated in this car yet so we'll give it a quick flip in third [Music] yeah so picks up well it's got a nice a nice chunk of Rodin talk we're at three and a half thousand rooms there and it does pick up nicely quite a linear power delivery up to about six thousand reps and then when you come off the accelerator you get that nice sort of manufacturing overrun set of pops and bangs they last for about a second and a half I believe you can get some over on maps let's just go on and on and on it's a bit cringe but I do like the fact that you can turn these off I think that's a nice feature so if you just want ever hung around without the drama route the back you can turn it off now before we do get out and they're really opening this car up the exhaust now obviously I mentioned that it's just got the downpipe and the DK I'd be happy with that you know I'd be happy with the volume that you got from the rear I don't think it needs to be any louder it's not drowning in the minute but it sounds really nice surprise me oh bloody hell Jesus man yeah we're fighting for traction 2nd gear then it's raining but yeah fighting for a bit traction there but it definitely definitely makes you smile there we go now importantly this car doesn't have the diff the LSD that you can get it's a factory option so got I tell you what guys this thing is this thing is quick Jesus fourth gear as well it's erm it's instant power from 4,000 ribs in fourth gear if I just slow it down a bit it's a 3,000 and pin it for such a small engine with three cylinders a talk delivery on this thing is all Jesus this roads then if you saw that there was no crest we just took off so we're going to second gear I think you do need to go for the car with it if though because we're spinning up in third gear man we need a dry day though we need a dry day in this car yeah so the overrun map it's not really my thing [Music] in perfectly honest but it does sound pretty cool what can I see in peeling so a lot of people it'd be nice if it was kind of active after a certain speed so when you're sort of or a certain I don't know of a certain rpm because if you're just kind of cruising around and you're getting the pops and bangs it's not really relative to the amount of sort of acceleration you're putting into the car so if you're just with the accelerate up to 3000 you get in pops and bangs it can be a little bit et but when you're pushing on it does sound nice I'm really surprised about the amount of power this thing's guys this thing is just any Rev floor it and it just picks up and goes it's wrote lovely I think we probably do need a bit of ESC intervention though in these greasy conditions see if I switch the ESC on just see what that does to the car because it's definitely scrabbling around a bit in this wet weather yeah that's better hit the rev limit it's easy to rip these out this is better this road surface is a lot more grippy or the brakes are good brakes are very good yeah a little bit of wheelspin at third crane a little bit of understeer but I know in the dry this is going to be a different kind of fish with this thing man this thing I'm just amazed by the tall can I've mentioned it already but so talky it's nice time into rent for the absolute nuts off a car to get it shifting I mean with turbo cars you do get increased talk anyway but yeah I'm enjoying this thing alright guys we've made it to the beach but the weather is too shocking so I'm not going to get out the car but I've had a nice little look out of the ocean nice little bit of chill time and why smell whilst we are having this little bit of downtime from the back roads afford quickly touch upon warranty and mods because I know it's a question that people ask all the time now obviously when you do modify your car so I mean if you turned your car into this exact car you do run the risk of invalidating your warranty but well what I will say about dream science the imap is it doesn't leave a trace on the ECU so if you basically return the car to stock it leaves no trace so I mean a lock and I'm not saying to take your car in for warranty work after having it mapped and taking the map off I'm not saying that what I'm saying is it doesn't leave a trace by all means give dreams types give dream science a call and get this confirmed but I know of their Focus ST the Focus RS it hasn't left the trace so yeah so I'll leave it with you basically obviously styling mods and stuff like that they only normally invalidates items those modifications effect so if you have Springs obviously your suspension isn't covered under warranty that kind of thing if you have a set of Springs and your engine blows up nine times out of ten you can claim for that under warranty ah right guys just had some fish and chips bit of grub it's still raining but what can we do just going to have to work with what we've got unfortunately but I have found a nice road with some nice twists and turns and we're gonna have a bit of fun before we take this car back to dream science [Music] so [Music] oh don't plant your foot straight down on the throttle so on what I'm obviously realizing with this car and this weather is as I just demonstrated if you're flying your foot straight on the throttle you are just going to get a load of wheel spin so if you modulate it and just gently accelerate what we'll do now we're taking this tractor it's much better and you can extract the majority of the power safely without spinning the wheels so if you adopt that approach on a day like this you can still have plenty of fun now two of the most impressive things with this remap the first one is the talk now explain how talking this car is so we're going to third gear we've got a nice left-hander here in low revs for our thousand and it just slings you straight out the corner fourth gear low revs boom pulls you straight down the road with ease so you don't have to necessarily labor the engine or I'll thrash the engine to get this car moving so that's the first thing the second thing is how smooth the map is now this map it just feels like an OEM factory map with more power it's not jerky it's not lumpy it's just perfectly progressive perfectly linear and it just makes that the drive a bit more predictable so to speak if it's safer you're not getting a huge dollop of boost and then look you know the cars swerving all over the place so that's the second thing and those two things combined they just make for a pretty awesome Drive and also the way this car just rattles through the revs it's just a nice continuous strong power band I'll tell you what I love these little fiestas the shot e's are so playful you can't beat your Fiesta ST for for the fun facts from a road like this Kenya these cars they just offer equal amounts if not more fun than cars way more expensive and when you get them mapped and tweaked up here and there it just really does perfect you know perfect and already brilliant package I wouldn't take this too far this is probably as far as I'd go to be fair but boy is this thing fun it's great on the brakes as well just tuck the nose in such a really sharp responsive chassis and the break second gear again just tuck the nose in gently on the power no will spin see I'm learning now I'm learning how to drive this car how to how to feather it and get it round these bends without it being too gnarly it's staying third this time so we're at two and a thousand reps straight on the power button very impressive very impressive you know guys I think I'm gonna spin around I think when you do that again because why not so here we go start with a nice sharp left-hander to be gentle with the Frog using the talk nice and steady this road is lovely I'm gonna keep it in third lovely gets you up to sixty right that's keep it a third again you don't even need to go into second actually nice and smooth and consistent we'll keep it in third again we are what we now - 4 mm ribs [Music] yeah third gear is the one you can do a lot in third in this [Music] really impressive guys really impressive if you've got one of these cars and I'd recommend well you saw one per it's personal preference but if you want to fast the car if you want it to be a bit more fun a bit more capable than surely it's a no-brainer in it I'll tell you what this is nothing better than a British B Road and a nicely tweaked hot hatch Oh anyway guys I think I've been blabbering on enough now I should probably wrap the video up here if I hope you've enjoyed it I hope you've kind of got a bit of an experience for this car what it's like I'm honestly very impressed with this package not very impressed with the white van that was on my side of the road that leads straight into me but yeah very impressed with this package it's fast it's torquey it's smooth with the downpipe and the VCAT and the standard GPF gps back system is it's loud enough it's not too loud and it looks fantastic from the outside as well handling is good it's nice and flat in two corners it's not too crashy doesn't get too upset over bumps it's just a great all-round little hot
