DREAM Downtown LA Apartment Tour

[Music] all right guys this is the long-awaited apartment tour so i'm gonna take you through the whole apartment i'm gonna tell you where i got pretty much everything if i can remember i'm not gonna take you through my roommate's room or her bathroom but we're gonna start with like the common areas we'll move into my room and bathroom and stuff in my closet and then i'll show you guys the parts of the house that i don't necessarily show anyone that are really embarrassing okay so i live in downtown los angeles we have lived in this apartment myself and my roommate tk some of you guys might know her from her youtube channel we've lived here for almost a year and a half now so i've been here for quite a while i am 27 now i'm done here at 22 out of la and i literally made like 400 the first month that i moved here so i can tell you my apartment didn't look like this but after years of working my ass off i get to live in an amazing place that i love so once after whatever the tour also i'll show you guys a little bit about my neighborhood downstairs because it's really cute and then some of the amenities in the building i don't want to give too much away because i don't have like just blatant tell everyone where i live but you'll get the gist and you'll you'll understand let's start as if i walked into the hallway our door is over there and i will show you guys the hallway in the embarrassing section because it's really embarrassing and that will be at the end right here is my roommate tk's room and then this is her bathroom now we're gonna turn this way first let's do the living room because i feel like this is what everyone's probably seen before if you guys follow me this is our entire living room the couch takes up the whole thing we got a couch from car deal this is a copy basically of the lamborghini couch that's called a togo couch and honestly at the time did not know it was a copy of that couch but it's like a really iconic couch so we got it at car deal i believe it's sold out right now um but it's like this boucle fabric it's amazing people ask me a lot how we keep it so clean and i'm honestly not sure we've never washed it or anything but we also don't have like dogs and stuff and it's literally just me and tk here so uh it stays pretty clean but she is massive okay like huge and i spend most of my time in the apartment here so start off with this um we'll go with this this blanket right here is from brooklyn that's also where my sheets are from and then this blanket is actually from amazon and that's linked in my amazon shop and then we're gonna move on to the beautiful coffee table this is actually my most favorite coffee table i've ever owned i feel like it's gonna go in so many different places that i want to bring it this is from lulu and georgia she's very substantial i also like that like this is the first place i've really bought any kind of furniture that's like nice you know sonic got me these beautiful flowers like outside of my assistant is behind the camera helping out with these flowers today because we actually launched this full disclosure these right here are from target and then we've got this cute little replica candle right here so that's that whole gist over here the rug by the way is from ruggable i also have the rubbable rug in my office because i love ruggable so so so much this console is from car deal as well the same company as the couch this console has saved their life we just got this like a month ago um and it has so much storage i love it i believe this is a 79-inch console obviously we have our television right here we haven't really like styled this this is just kind of like makeshift what we have in the living room we put it on a console table so we've got some books one of these huge candles from home goods um some more books from home goods i want to show you guys this though this from canopy is like this cute little diffuser and i can put essential oils on this like blue thing right here i'm not showing my nails because they're so gross and this is like a little fan that blows it up in like the essential oil spread so it's a lovely diffuser that doesn't have like water like steam or anything i just thought that was cool and we love her in here because it makes the living room smell really good and then on either side of the tv right here we have uh these full-length mirrors and they actually have like a little thing on the back a little stand so i love these these are from amazon super simple they have a couple different colors as well another thing i wanted to talk about around like obviously the living room surrounded by windows which i love because we don't have a huge apartment and i like that the windows make everything feel gigantic much larger than it actually is so the windows have these shades on them people always ask me if i have shades or something or whatever the whole all the windows have these shades you can kind of just pull down okay moving on this is our like romeo and juliet balcony it freaks everyone out and i'm gonna let you all take a peek over here so you pull it open like this and oxana can bring you over so you can just like this obviously opens there's a little thing right here and you can like look down you know the 30 floors downstairs someone gifted us this one of tk's friends this um mirrored console situation this lamp my mushroom lamp it's from west elm and then all of these various things are from home goods and then this piece or this print is from december and full-length mirror is from urban outfitters i've had this acrylic chair with me since college it is for like what six to eight years now um i don't know where i got this right it might have been from amazon our bar card is a bit of a disaster i didn't even want to pretend to make it look pretty this is just what it looks like it's pretty um yeah there's just stuff everywhere we don't really have a rhyme or reason for what's going on here most of the stuff is full sadly you might not expect that of me but yes i bar card and all of the liquor on it is full honestly disappointed because however i don't really drink like cocktails at my house i'd rather go out and buy one you know it needs to be a whole thing anyways and this bar card is old i don't know if they still have it but it's from urban outfitters as well and then we'll move on to the kitchen area i actually might spend more time in the kitchen than i do in the living room but it's really these two areas where i exist so these barstools are all from cb2 we thought they went really really well with like the modern vibe going on here i love that i can wake up in the morning here and come right over here pour myself my water and look over this beautiful view this window is really important to me and also over on this side we've got the coffee maker the fruit tree is looking a little sparse but we usually have some fruit in there and we can make our coffee right here and we've got our beautiful water bowl here to remind us of nature in the middle of the city okay here's our beverages and some of our food so obviously all the beverages going on right here we've got two drawers right here of just fruit and vegetables and then we have two drawers of chocolate ah there you go all right in the pantry we had a friend come over his name is benton he's a professional organizer so he helped us a little bit with this it was way more organized when he came i also have a video on that if you guys want to watch it but here's our little pantry moment we've got all the stuff that we cook with and like smoothie ingredients and stuff we've got all the powders and then we've got like snacks over here popcorn toast almond butter blueberry spread like various things like that pasta pantry things over here i have my snack toaster tk actually got this for me for christmas on my birthday which i thought was just such a good like good idea because i used to toast toast in the oven and forget about it and burn it like at least three times before i got it right so tk got me this toaster it was the cutest thing it's like the cutest gift i've ever gotten so then we have the basics for cooking and stuff we've got our amazon alexa there she goes we cannot live without i've got my nude seltzer right here because essential today has been a day y'all also um maxana brought me these cute cupcakes for the full disclosure endless summer lunch as you can see one is gone because i needed that today there's so many sprinkled ones so this is this is the main area this is where i hang out i hope i answered everyone's questions where everything was from now when anyone asks me and dms me i can just be like go watch the video so now we're going into my room first things first i want to show you guys i have this print here not a lot of space in here i moved from an apartment that my bedroom was probably almost three times the size of this room so it took a lot of downsizing but of course in that apartment i did not have this view and again i'll show you guys that first people always ask me this question i don't have shades this does come down on both sides um you can't really tell today but i can see all the way to the ocean over here and it's again too foggy today and on the other side actually where i'm getting coffee where i showed you guys earlier you can see up to the mountains sometimes with the snow caps so it's really cool because i could like get my coffee and look at the snowcat mountains and then like look at the ocean and the water all the way over here this is like everything to me the huge windows everywhere this is i never want to leave okay so i got my bed from ikea because i wanted more storage just because i have a lot of storage in this apartment i have a lot of space i got the storage bed i got a bunch of boots and stuff down there a lot of like winter stuff underneath crafts things like that so i got the queen bed you can by the way search storage bed on ikea and it should come up my sheets are uh like a pajama i think it's the heather cashmere ones from brooklyn and i did like a two-tone look because i thought it's getting to be like a little too white in here i don't remember where i got these side tables from but they're made by vig furniture vig furniture i thought they were really cute and just really simple they bought two like drawers which are like literally filled with brim with electronics and stuff on here i got my candle that's on i got me from paris cute i've got my kindle which i've been reading actually so much on that thing my lamps are from all modern i have not seen them back in stock for like six months so i keep trying to link to those we'll ask about them and i don't have any answers for you guys my dresser i believe i got my dresser from all modern as well this mirror is from urban outfitters of course this print is from descenio i've got my flowers over here they're dying a little bit but it's kind of like a vibe right here got some bags on the dresser and then my alexa obviously choose my life and also this photo of me and my cute dog that i love so much all right so over here i've got what's it called i believe i got this from urban outfitters i think it also comes in black obviously you can tell it's kind of filled right now sometimes i put shoes at the bottom a lot of the times this is even more filled than it is right now but this is just a bunch of stuff that is new or i need to shoot or i'm going to dc in new york tomorrow so i have all of my clothes on here that i like kind of want to bring and need to like actually make into outfits which we'll do who knows when leaving tomorrow what are we going to do and i'm not sure but i do have them set out here because these are like the possibilities people always ask about this uh bookshelf right here this is my i think it's called a floating bookshelf or invisible bookshelf it is from container store um we have josie back here she's eating her um yes i also have bags and stuff on here too so i'm gonna come over here now alright so now i'm gonna show you guys my closet i'm gonna preface this with the last place i had my closet was about half the size of this room so it was massive it was a walk-in closet it was literally gigantic now i have this sliding closet so i've had to get pretty handy with how i did this i really really filled this up to the brim i get rid of clothes all the time oxana's constantly on poshmark and i still have so much stuff so these shoe racks have traveled with me since college as well um they're from target obviously i've got all their clothes here this thing is also traveled with me since college this is um a rat from container store i've got all of my like athletic wear in here my fitness clothes all my fabulous and then i bought my swimsuits in here and then like various stuff like fashion tape and all that stuff and there so i've got these shoe like box things um you can actually stack them up on their side like this or down like i have them um i felt this way was better for heels the other way better for like sneakers and stuff so i have all of these down here i got two of them and they're from container store because my closet is so high i also have a little step stool okay so let's move on go in here into my bathroom now is this the cleanest bathroom i've ever seen here's the bathroom and there's roxanna in my bathroom so i've got this big nice shower this tub is truly gigantic i'm like tracing my crow's feet in here but anyways like it's gigantic so honestly i rarely take baths because it takes forever to fill up this tub and it's honestly just so much water so rarely do i take baths but when i do they're glorious and then i'll show you guys on this side i've got like the storage in the shower which is lovely to have and it's also very aesthetic toilet nothing special i have my uh dirty clothes hamper in here and then i've got a little thing right here because i have way too much product even though i get rid of product every single day so i have a problem here is the area obviously where i spend the most time i have my little uh holder from target i think it's actually for a desk but i just put my makeup brushes in it i also got a set of brushes from morphe because they match and i feel like it just like looks way better um and then i have this little tray which is also from target i have some of my most used like skincare and hair stuff on there this is one of my favorite things it is like a jewelry organizer from container store oh you know what i need to put these on here we go so this is me every morning that you're you're not here every morning i'm putting on my jewelry so in this little box i've got kind of my most used jewelry my most used necklaces and worn stuff right here you can kind of build as you go so i've got some necklaces and stuff on this tray and then i've got some earrings in this bottom one and they have a bunch of different trays you can add and then i've got another alexa in here because we love her so much um i'll give you a little peek at what's down here i have shown you guys this before in an organization vlog i believe it's the same one bourbon and hamburger and helped us this is a lot of stuff that i've gotten as press or like even like right here we've got some tools and stuff like that that i don't use every single day that i put in here then we've got a bunch of skincare makeup hair stuff we got like hair tools my dyson is right here i love these little bends these are actually like sneaker like athletic shoe bins from container store that i just bought and put and like i'll put all my stuff in all right so top drawer we've got most of the stuff that i use more often here i've got makeup i've really downsized my makeup i don't really have very much just because like it's overwhelming to me um and then this is the tragic drawer this is all the hair stuff we've got brushes we've got so much stuff in here it's hard for me to like let go of hair products but anyways we got so much in there and then that is my bathroom let's go look at the parts i'm a little more ashamed of this home so this is the area of the home that we do not speak up but i'm going to show you guys anyways because i feel like if i see people's perfect homes and i feel bad about myself and because i know i have this area and i know everyone has an area that they're ashamed of so i'm going to show you guys anyways keep in mind i live here in my roommate tk so you getting in there right now i don't know i live with tk we are both influencers so we both get so much stuff okay and we're constantly getting getting rid of stuff that i'm selling on poshmark and then i have to run to goodwill today and we're constantly bringing stuff to together so keep that in mind when we look at all this stuff in here because it just keeps multiplying all right so here's our hallway but here's our front door basically by the way so we have to walk through this every single day i literally walk through and i'm like i hate my life every single day but it's funny because like where else would i put it you know this is a bunch of stuff that just doesn't have a home yet whether it's just like clothes there's like a lot of winter clothes poshmark suitcases everywhere just extras extra pr stuff that we're not using obviously so so many clothes shoes all my hats i don't know where these hangers are from tk do you know where these are from we think they're from target this is the worst part honestly i don't know what's going on here we have a lot of mail going on here uh anyways so now this is the grand finale wait should i show them a little laundry room so you guys can see here's my little mini laundry room come on over here there she is she's gorgeous the laundry room is pretty much this is our laundry room our laundry closet all right i'm scared i'm honestly scared because i don't know what's about to happen when i open these doors let's hope nothing falls no you're going to be so ashamed i can't open both doors honestly because it's all going to start falling this is just stuff basically we keep this door closed and we kind of just stuff things in here and hope that it doesn't open you know we did at one point have a plan to get something custom built because this is kind of like a little triangle closet we're gonna have something built and then we just you know who has time who has the time to go by herself i don't even know literally yeah this is what's holding this together this teeny little thing okay so that is the end of my apartment tour but we're not going to stop here because i kind of want to show you guys a little bit about my building i'm going to show you guys the roof because i love it up there and spend a lot of time on the roof and then we'll walk around a little bit and i'll show you guys a little bit of downtown so you can kind of see where i live because not many people think about downtown l.a when i think of like living in los angeles i will say it's not for the faint of heart let's have that little conversation but i think a lot of ballets like that and hollywood's very similar santa monica to me is very similar like i feel just as safe here as i do or just as not safe here as i do in those areas as well i really did want to share it and it took me forever took me about a year and a half almost of living here to share this uh but i love her so much so i'm happy i got to share it with you guys but let's go on a little adventure now so the first thing i'm going to show you guys is my favorite coffee shop we're closed right now here it is this is my aunt joe's favorite and one of your favorites yeah so i love this place they have a dirty frittata with oatmeal for almond milk or something really good it looks like the closet is teeny tiny but we've all got about it now let's go to the park next we have fidham park our camera died so now you're on for this tour okay so my roommate tk actually went to fit on the fashion institute of design and organizing i think it is really pretty park in the middle of their campus sometimes i come here i enjoy my coffee i go on a walk and i just like chill in the park a little bit and we love it here okay let's go to my next hot spot all right now this is a three-hour hotel on top or whatever people go to it's actually really nice golden gopher tk and i've gone in there kind of and it's like a dive bar guy now we're going to the what you've all been waiting for my place my favorite place on earth it's like green it's broken literally every single day and then there's a little bakery right there and then there's shake shack down there and that's our mini tour of downtown now i'm going to go upstairs to my room or my apartment because josie wants to go on the roof and i'm going to take you guys on the roof you guys can see what i'm talking about also i want to show you my apartment like sunset time and then at night too because i feel like the vibe is just different you know so let's go okay so this is my favorite place ever ever ever as it gets darker it honestly gets better also i changed because uh josie and i are gonna take a picture because she's setting up her camera over there this is the side that tk overlooks this is what her unit kind of looks like this way so this is like the older part of downtown l.a and that's obviously like this is like the same part with the bigger buildings and you can see the mountains i just love it that's one cool thing about los angeles i feel like coming from like texas is that it's so like the nature is so involved in like the cityscape and like the city itself there's like literally a mountain range through los angeles you just go hiking in the middle of the city that's wild because you can't do that really anywhere else and i'm gonna bring you all over here too they have this little like window cleaning thing set up right here so this is usually not here right we've got little bites that they do like classes on every week and then some people are in the hot tub over here it looks so relaxing and now josie and i are gonna take some photos and i will see you guys downstairs all right so i wanted to show you guys what the place looks like at night time because are you freaking kidding me look how stunning gorgeous i'm also loving all the natural like photos against this like cityscape vibe here's my room at night time so i wanted to show y'all when i fall asleep at night this is what it looks like so like i literally just like fall asleep to this is that not amazing i literally look out here and i feel so lucky and you can see you can't really tell right here but you can i can always see the moon when i fall asleep too so it's just like this is truly amazing i've never lived in a place that i loved so much and i felt was so stunning all right and that is all for my home tour and my part of downtown la tour and my apartment roof tour i had to brag on it i freaking love this place so much contrary to popular belief what tic-tac will tell you my parents did not pay for this so i'm just really really really appreciative because i feel like people look at people having nice things don't they look at people on tick tock all the time and not know that you're literally 27 like i'm not in college i've been working for five years all day every day dude to afford this and i'm really really grateful so it's really nice that like i made this money i did this and i was able to do this for myself tk as well obviously anyways if you're not in a point in your life where you you know have something nice like this or you feel like oh my gosh like how do people afford this just know one it has not come easy i moved to los angeles and i left a place that i really thought was comfortable which is where i'm from texas and i left all my friends i left my family and i just literally didn't have a life and probably ruined my mental health like severely lost a lot of years of my life but i get to live in this pretty apartment but i want to say that because a lot of times when i post my apartment or i post things like this on youtube or tick tock or whatever people are very disillusioned by it like they feel like you know someone gave it to me or like you don't deserve it or whatever like that i tk and i both work really really really really hard and we don't have our parents paying for stuff i will say another thing is we have been able to partner with a lot of furniture companies and things like that where we get this stuff um we have to work you know in exchange for it um so it's not like completely free but we have been lucky in that that our job allows us to do that so our apartment looks really nice and we didn't have to pay you know a dollar amount for all of it so i wanted to say that yeah and we and there's two of us too um so it's just i wanted to know that because again i don't want anyone to feel bad about themselves or where they are and also i do want to say two if you move to los angeles if i wanted to have this apartment in century city where i used to live which is kind of near beverly hills which is like a super clean area really nice or you know an apartment beverly hills it would easily be double the price of this apartment for our unit that we have right now like downtown if you're gonna buy you know or rent a place in la downtown does have really competitive prices versus what you'll get in the rest of los angeles now is it the same as a dallas or houston or scottsdale absolutely not it's still way more expensive but it's not the same as normal la prices which is part of the reason why i liked moving downtown because i got so much more amenities-wise and just like how nice my apartment is
