Draymond Green Goes Sneaker Shopping With Complex

[Music] what up everybody its Joe from complex were in New York City at Stadium goods with three-time NBA all-star and three-time NBA champion draymond Green like I feel like sometimes if I'm gonna shoe and I come through I feel like you're taking my superpowers away gonna do some sneaker shopping today get to see what he's feeling what he's not and then hopefully is gonna buy some sneakers let's do it let's go a lot of the footage from Michigan State you're balling in cool gray 11s man I got in trouble for that accident really so the first time I wore was the aircraft carrier game we played North Carolina Nike made the special shoes and I wonder where the cool green levers day we had the gray camo Jersey so I'm like the cool gray Levin's gonna be perfect yeah but our equipment God would not let us wear Jordans so we do the warm up some of my shoes I supposed to be in literally right before the game started I ran to the locker room for my Cougars oh nice man coach izzo gave me so much grief I really gained by but it was worth it oh yeah and like even on the Wikipedia page it's you in the Michigan State and the cool gray so they chose the right picture fire but I got a lot of grief for that man it was comfortable though one thing even before the NBA like college days Doernbecher fours like you had a Concord 11s you had a lot of heat what was like the plug back then or you just have to connect I was just used to bio I spent all my scholarship checks on their shoes that was fun I used to literally I used to post a picture every day different shoot but a hashtag was what's on your feet I don't like that I had quite a bit I just kept kind of building from there this shoe right here story I heard a story about a homecoming dance with this shoe do you remember this shoe is so special to me because it's high school my senior year my sister baby's father which was her boyfriend at the time he bought him from we was hurting back then these Jordans like that I wouldn't get many other pair of shoes so I had these and I remember I went to the dance got from my hometown he used to print these shirts off so I had on this Jordan color like Jordan logo this color all black shirt however it wasn't a real join t-shirt like custom it was just many like we made it was a Jordan of a probably some trademark infringement or something you wasn't getting that out of second also I had these with the iron dome print Jordan shirt just a black tee from the corner store the Jordan logo on it some black dick yeah and I was killing yep you were and you had to crown the homecoming king that was it and I was killing them but so this is a special shoe for me because yeah homecoming king homecoming dance and I was fresh dream on you and Kady Nike guys Steph Curry Under Armour klay Thompson enter and you guys have a very like loose locker room is there competition between you guys I mean you know we talk a little junk about other guys shoes aren't really in there conversation with them you know they got these signature shoes you get some exclusives I got a few exclusives but you know we definitely go at each other but it's fun now you got cause with Puma yeah so he's he coming in there every day a man a poem of this woman that though but it's a good environment though and what do you think about the NBA allowing players to wear whatever colors this year I think it's amazing because when you look at the NBA now it's driving culture hell yeah when you see guys coming out there and like different shoes you know the NBA used to kind of have a reputation or like it was just wasn't good and you know they cleaned the image up and now it drives the culture yeah and so for guys to come out in different shoes it's like it's a big thing and no one's looking at it and saying man that's tactic not expired I have created and everybody is like checking for the shoes now yeah I think it's amazing I think Adam and you know everybody else and you know an NBA office to come up with that and just allow that I think is incredible it just shows where the game is going [Music] your equipment manager Eric said that you're a battler you know you like debuting sneakers but it's really all about function for you like I feel like sometimes if I'm gonna shoe and I are comfortable I feel like I could take my superpowers away so if I if I'm feeling it I got a I got a go what I know one thing the 2017 season you debuted these blogs pick them up what's it like to get that attention off just a shoe it's crazy because like been on the blocks for your sneakers nowadays there's a thing like a big thing yourself when I debut B's it was dope because obviously and it was it was organic dumb because I had obviously just did the campaign months before with the hyper dunk and so to come back with these it was it was super dope and everybody was trying to get the off-white and I'm like oh man I'm a killer with this so yeah my nike rep stills he hit me he was like dang I got these shoes for you to open for over the night I'm gonna send them to you I'm like I heard that he sends it to my house I was like oh okay now however they not that functional Lilly they didn't hold up its it's a designer shoes I got a great looking shoe but as far as playing basketball it's not made like the actual hyper dunk so it was hurting my foot a little bit so I played in the for a little while and then I had to go back to my superpowers that's some athletes aren't sneakerhead you were always a sneaker head what's it like now to get whatever you want in debut sneakers so it's crazy for all these years I would like like man I want these I want this shoe I want that shoe and I can say I had some friends that like they would get all the new forces all the new Jordan's and I say parents would like go broke on like right shoot well we didn't have no money to go broke with but like they were miss like paying bills till I get them shoes my mom was going for that it was just kind of always one for me then I end up getting to the point where I was like I got too many shoes so it's like all right I'm looking for some red and black Jordan's right I probably got 50 red and black so then it becomes a problem like which one do I put alright right so it kind of worked the opposite way for me now but it's a blessed talking about that you know we see now more than ever the sneaker kings of the NBA and like Lance is talking about and we have PJ Tucker who's a real sneaker head does that stuff concern you or you're all about on court no I will get off into that because you know I like I like to be comfortable and the most important thing for me is that I play well and so to switch shoes there I'll knock them like PJ got it going yeah and Lance Lance do as well but PJ definitely got it going like if I had to go with anybody for sure preach it but like every game switch the shoes like I like to be comfortable I number a retired person like I will run my shoes into the ground before I change them they start moved to my head and I like that so now I'm really good I don't get off into that well we talked about everything now is the easy part you get the browser she'll see what you're gonna buy let's do it I'm gonna definitely grab this red gato and come by them do it for me I also got to get the cream Travis cos I got a white ones so I need the IDS to the collection I also need to get to Nigel's I don't man I've been trying to come across these for a little while now so it's a big pick up from me right here last but not least for me I definitely got to get the house shoes cancer you know comfort this is important for me so I definitely got to get these very consciousness appreciate it here it's all will be a thousand six hundred eighty seven
