hi guys and welcome to a hector lecture guide to the fight dragon songs reprise ultimate this is the fourth video i've made covering this fight and this is going to cover either the end of the third phase or start of the fourth however you want to call it its eye phase this follows immediately after you defeat nidhogg in sort of the midstinean form once you manage to defeat knit hog and you get the unpossessed destinian fall to the ground and the eyes appear on either side you want to start stacking south the reason is that alphanode is going to run on to the stage and you're gonna have two spirits start to appear next to each of these eyes one of these is going to target alphanude and the other one's going to target a random party member what's going to happen is at the end of this a buff is going to emanate out from alphanude and the random player and we want as many people as possible stacked within them anybody within the circle is going to receive the buff the two buffs being soul of devotion and soul of friendship each of these buffs allows you to attack one of the eyeballs and since there's no punishment for having both buffs we're going to stack everybody together to make sure everybody has both buffs and can attack both eyes as the eyes appear and become targetable you're going to see a nidhoggs influence bar up here this is our enrage timer for this phase if this gets to 100 and either the eyes are still alive it's a wipe one last thing before we begin technically the names of these eyes respectively are the right eye and the left eye you can see why this is confusing from a top-down perspective uh so i will be referring to the eyes as blue and red to avoid confusion immediately as this phase starts you want the majority of your party to attack the blue eye but make sure that both of your tanks establish aggro each on one of the eyes this is because the eyes still use auto attacks and they hit for some pretty chunky damage so make sure that each tank has aggro on one of the eyes and prepare you're about to get a fairly light raid wide with a bleed effect attached to it after the raid wide goes off each of the eyes is going to start casting hate bound and i recommend having your party position like this sort of doing a light spread in this order around the middle as the hatebound cast finishes two things happen orbs spawn in these exact positions some blue and some yellow and every player is chained to one of the eyeballs and receives either the fang bound or claw bound debuff for those that have done nidhogg extreme you'll know what we're doing already it's exactly the same any player who has the blue debuff is chained to the blue eye if at any point in time they take damage they will heal the blue eye this will make it almost impossible to clear the enraged check so for all of the mechanics following up we're going to make sure our blue players never take damage on the other hand the red debuff those players are chained to the red eyeball and when they take damage the red eye also takes damage instead our plan with the red is to make sure they take as much damage as possible throughout these mechanics to make the enraged timer easier on the red eyeball these debuffs can be swapped at will while they may look like tethers you can't swap the usual tether way by walking through the chains instead if you want to swap debuffs you need to stand next to a person with the opposite color debuff and the debuffs will swap the strategy i'm about to show is just one possible way of dealing with this but it's designed to make things as consistent as possible the vast majority of players are going to do the exact same thing every single time with minimal change but this relies on us fixing the debuffs right at the start for this strategy we're going to give tanks and melees who are nearer to the eyeballs the red debuff and we're going to give our healers in ranged the blue debuff at the start as the first set of debuffs are random we fix this by having any player with the wrong debuff move into the middle this might seem very familiar to anybody who's done p4s recently as this was a common way of dealing with the debuffs at the start of that fight the debuffs will swap and from this point we can have our tanks and melees move on to each of their respective eyeballs while the healers in ranged are in position north and south of the eyeballs respectively you might have noticed that the yellow orbs have grown this is part of the mechanic see these orbs will explode naturally at a certain time and we need to have players soak them before they explode to prevent a wipe when they grow they increase in the amount of damage they do to players that soak it we need this we want these orbs to grow as big as possible to make the enraged timer easier on the red eyeball so our tanks and melees have already seen the yellow orb grow once they need to wait until it grows a second time and then move into that yellow orb they're going to take very heavy damage but also do a big chunk of damage to the red eye immediately after this happens all players can stack onto their respective eyeball to swap the debuffs over to the healers in ranged those healers in range need to now wait for the blue orbs to grow their second time before they move into the blue orbs and pop them for heavy damage that's how the orbs should work after the orbs have finished each of the eyes is going to start to cast mirage dive i recommend having all of your tanks and melees move over carefully and stack with their blue debuff on the eyeball while the healers in range take different cornered positions around the eyeball when mirage dive finishes you're going to get two star diver dragoons diving down onto two random red debuff players this dive gives them a physical volume up that prevents them from being able to take another dive now because it's completely random which two red players get dove on when the second set of dives happens shortly there's every possibility that one of the players who was just dovan will get dove on again and that will kill them so we need to have the two players that were just dove on swap with two of the blue players waiting on the eyeball for consistency this strategy has the tanks doing the first swap always you might need a call out to be able to decide where you're going or you can have a strategy of who always looks north and goes clockwise who always goes counterclockwise up to you either way have your tanks move out to the two players dovan swap and then take position as the second dives go off whoever got dove on here needs to swap with our melees who don't have a physical vole and have the blue debuff they'll swap out you might notice that the healers in range who were the first ones jumped on their physical vulneras just run out this is by design they're going to have to be the players that swap out for this third jump so we see that m1 and h2 get jumped on the healer and range that we're in the middle they're gonna swap out and they're going to take the new debuff and now we get one final dive but there's no more swap so you don't need to think through much with this just make sure everybody's topped up now the chains do persist at this point but i'm going to remove everything because at this point it's just a dps check there's nothing else that matters with it steep in rage is gonna be cast by both the blue and the red eyeball this is what would otherwise be a fairly mild raid wad but if both of these go off it'll count as one of the heaviest raid wides in the fight in addition to that it'll do pretty significant healing to the blue eye making it rage hard to clear thus before this cast goes off you want to have killed the blue eye ending its steep and rage cast start dpsing the red eye the steep and rage rad will go off and the damage will cause the blue eye to come back to life but only with a sliver of health from here it's just a race to see can you beat the nidhogg's influence gauge if that gauge gets to 100 and either of the eyes is still alive the dragon version of nidhogg will drop down cast revenge of the horde and wipe the party instead if you manage to kill both of the eyeballs before the gauge gets to 100 something weird happens you're gonna end up traveling all the way back to the very first phase of the fight not thoritin the volt phase and you'll be right at the part where sir sherbert shows up and starts to cast pure of heart nearly everything is the same you'll struggle to see the same passage of arms the same home gang the same purple circle you can't escape and heart chiffon's still going to show up and take a spear for you but with one major difference this time we have lb3 you need to make sure that you've cleared both nidhogg and i phase without using your limit break because you need to have lb3 available ready to use it to save herchevant as soon as he's targetable use a tank lb3 this will cause him to take significantly less damage from the spear and also significantly reduce the healing debuff he had on him meaning that your healers are now capable of healing him to keep him alive it's a tight heel check your healers are going to want to deal with their mechanic first so that they can focus their efforts entirely on keeping the party and heart chiffons alive shortly after the healers get hit the tank lb is going to fall off and you need to be watching harchiphan's health because it will consistently continuously drop everyone else deals with the mechanic exactly the same way as they did before this is why we had tanks go last so that there was no chance that they'd still be locked in lb animation while the mechanic was going off and they had to move as the purple circle disappears make sure that everybody in the party including heart chiffon has a nearly full health because pure of heart will be cast and do significant damage to all and you cannot let heart chiffon die to it as the raid wide pure of heart goes off you're going to see that spear of the fury has now appeared as a targetable hitbox in the middle on top of harchefont immediately go over and start to dps it down healers you don't need to worry about heart chiffon's health anymore this is a pure dps check the spear is going to cast pierce and you need to have killed the spear before you can get this cast off to save heart chiffon if you do you will have changed the timeline that you're on and you now start the reprise part of the dragon song ultimate the stage will transition into a brand new arena and get ready for the fifth phase of the fight thank you so much for watching my guide i hope you found this useful this is a phase that has a lot of different ways to do it so please let me know in the comments section if you found a significantly better way of dealing with the debuffs the orbs and the mirage dives i'm always happy to hear new ways of dealing with this thanks so much for watching guys take care
