when you get cold you have to be ready to face the pressure is a life-threatening situation that put into Daniels confident he'll stay calm when faced with the heat of the den hopefully my experience will help me today after but in all my time into this for 12 years and hopes and dreams investment would be absolutely amazing hello dragons my name is Daniel chedi I'm the owner of glaze safe limited and I'm looking for 60,000 pounds for 10% share of my business I'd like to present to you two award-winning and health and safety products that I've designed for working at hire firstly the sash mate window repair tools their patented trademarked and industry recommended and secondly the stronghold mobile anchor point and barrier system I've been lucky enough to be a full-time firefighter for fifteen years now and have been in the glazing industry ever since I joined the family business at 19 years old I had little experience but still sent out to do all the window repairs alone almost all of which required scaffold finances meant we didn't have those options and so I was told to stop moaning just get the job done and bring the money back after nearly falling out of windows nearly dropping windows I realized there must be something I could make to help me the result was the sash mate and he did exactly that so following the sash mate tools a leading company was led to me with an issue they had how to work around an opening at height my solution is the stronghold it can be used for any work at hire for windows lift and building maintenance it has helped to win one company a 1 million pound installation contract saving their client seventy seven thousand on scaffold the last year I sold 75 sash mate tools a hundred and fifty accessories and eight strongholds so I hope like me and my customers you can see the huge potential these products have save a lot of lives thank you very much dragons hoping the Dragons will snap up his deal is Daniel chedi with two safety products one that holds a window in place during a repair and the other that's designed to keep workers safe at height he's asking for sixty thousand pounds in return for ten percent of his company first with the questions is Jenny Campbell who seems baffled by Daniels day job I heard you say that you're a full-time fireman but then also that you've been employed in the family glazing business since you're 19 so which one of those is it it's everything so you are full-time fireman I'm a full-time firefighter yeah Durex are in the designer of these old winning products hmm also have a glazing business I specialize in repairs so these are for me and my colleagues okay Oh full-time yeah so you're working from the ground six hours a week or something yeah Daniel can I ask how much do these cost this whole set as you see it now is two thousand eight hundred and twenty pounds currently what's it costing you to make that would be eleven hundred and fifty two with some parts that we buy and some soft equipment that we're buying we're making those are the okay all made locally to me so far so good as Daniel reveals an unbending work ethic and margin friendly inventions and it seems that Pizza Jones has already pinpointed a potential route to success for the products don't you I think it's a great invention and clearly does what it says on the tin but my first thing that hit me straight away was that this could be something that you could license or put into the higher industry or HSS or somewhere you'd let somebody else do the work so I'm really glad that you've noticed that this is a higher product they've got the contacts already well it also allows them to to look at the cost of manufacturer the fact that um the patent the fact that you've got everything but how difficult is it to do something quite similar it's not that difficult I personally think he's Pete and I am the designers where my passion lies I've tried to make it simpler and better so many times and I can't that's that's not a good answer because sadly there's also designers that take we'll take this apart and find areas where they can create something potentially better I'm telling you this is safe because I haven't I'm afraid I've got all the other proof of patents so I can say oh it's really yeah why didn't you bring your pattern I thought sorry but I did think you would want to see proof of patent don't you I don't get why you didn't bring the patent that's just introduced a bit of a stunned silence particularly because Peters idea of Licensing all all the whole valley will sit in that patent [Music] without this crucial piece of paperwork Daniel's pitch abruptly hits the buffers will tase Levani get him back on track as he turns his attention to the company's figures yv only sold 75 units in the last year I just I haven't focused themselves and so as I say it's the cells are actually a bonus to keep me designing but I'll finish designing I've got these patented now and that was my limit Gaultier you've got this product which is great and you know it cuts the cost down you don't need three people one person's enough yeah it's safe so why haven't you focused on selling that and building up the sales on that because I was designing this but now this is done I can actually focus on the sales Daniel one question how many stock have you got 20 of these strong Holtz yeah and other accessories did you have any pre-orders sorry no no no pre-orders I need to stop see what 20 Souls ready to go yeah but you don't have pre-sales No so if I was in your shoes I'll be saying to my agents I've got this great product coming here's the sales deal I want you to go and get pre-orders on them yeah but you haven't done any of that you know you're a very very likable guy and very investable from that perspective but I'm wondering if you've got entrepreneurial fries are you a Salesman I'm not salesman no definitely not so I do that I can't of course I can but I've never had any sales experience at all as Daniel admits to a gaping hole in his entrepreneurs toolkit his hopes for investment are hanging by a thread but will Deborah Medan with her track record in building trade investments want to dust off her hardhat for this one I'm sitting here quietly thinking what actually licensing I can't really think about because I haven't seen the patent but the sales haven't really picked up now I tell you why that worries me because the construction industry is one of those spaces where if people see it and love it they're gonna have to have it this is visual this isn't tucked away somewhere yeah this is something that people walk past and think oh look at that that's brilliant my support way to get that problem yeah I need one and what worried about this has been no sign of that I'm really sorry Daniel just thinking there must be something else that I've forgotten to tell you change your life I think the fact that this is saved one company 2 million on scaffold it's one them a 10-year contract they had five blocks of flats at 24 stories each and that's a update every single eye opener and everything was safe without scaffold you stopped me saying those two words I'm not saying I won't so now I'm gonna go to catch you gonna live with hunger by summoning up all his inner salesmen Daniel douses the Dragons flames of doubt for now as he swung into action just in time to inspire an investment from Peter Jones Daniel it's a great product but I sit here in this chair to look for people I can invest in and businesses I can get behind and look to where I can help work and add value and at the same time think right where's the future of this business and I don't see the business I genuinely believe that you should license this to people that will do a really good job for you so sadly I'm going to tell you that I'm out Peter Jones struggles to get fired up by the deal and is the first dragon to head for the exit and Taylor Varney is ready to have his say when I want to invest in a company I need to be excited about the product obviously for some reason it doesn't excite me the other aspect is the number of sales you've done is a bit concerning so I wish you the best but I'm out Daniel you pitch your explanation all the payment you've got you know you're miles and miles ahead of anybody I've seen for a while would you say that if I want to be the best it'd be a punt 60,000 he'd be a pump I'll make you an offer okay for half the money but I want 20% so if one of the other drivers were to come in with me it's a punt catching the den by surprise Tuukka suleiman throws Daniel a safety net in the form of an offer but for only half the money and even that at twice the total equity the entrepreneur wanted to give away will Deborah Medan who was earlier pull back from the point of no return also see a window of opportunity Daniel my gut instinct is telling me there's a market it's just not huge and the fact that enough people in the construction industry of seeing this by now I should have heard about it I should have heard it in the bus somebody should have been telling me about it so I'm really so really sorry but I won't be investing down you can keep it I'm at as Deborah Meade and ditches the deal Daniel's prospects hinge on Jenny Campbell either matching to Casilla moon with half the money for 20% or making a rival bid of her own amusing over you know as this product got legs is it going to take off but it is a bit of a leap in a dark and you do need some help on the commercial side and part of me is go and they'll just don't do this you know but there's also a bigger part saying why don't we give this a go I think we can do something with this so I will offer you half the money for 10% okay seeker is there any room for negotiation on that okay you deserve a break and I will budge on my 20% but it'll be 15 and my revised offer would be to match that now the two dragons who've made offers are in sync with their equity bids but as they want 30% of the company Daniel has a tough decision to make could you reduce the percentage 12 percent each it's a punt [Music] okay I accept your deal great thank you all congratulations good luck here after a bumpy ride in the den Daniel eventually triumphs and secures the backing of two top-notch dragons I'm really excited about the future to see these products all over the world save some lives it feels amazing and then maybe send alerts Peter and Deborah to say how you missed out you you
