Year well gentlemen this is it the end of the line Kai 3 yeah which is the last full animated DBZ thing we ever worked on which is kind of surreal I mean cuz it's a Kai it's stuff that we're like recapping on but it's still like a bunch of different jokes that we wanted to make well it won't be this big emotional send off here for us which I think is better and More in spirit with this whole situation Kai always allowed us to be a bit goofier kind of poke fun it the way we approach the show in some cases and allowed us to do a bit more commentary on uh in this case you'll notice that we do commentary on the dub scores versus the sub scores that that's a lot of your joke and we also jab at the fact that uh Toriyama was constantly being edited upon to add new characters and this also has one of my favorite jokes that I will quote like we will quote very often never seen Dragon Ball who this never watch Dragon Ball who that that oh my god did we or did we not I can't help but remember we briefly had a joke where the editors were going to come in and talk to Toriyama yeah look man we we saw this over but now it's just this old old dude and a fat clown we need a new villain yeah it was going to be like voicemails on his yeah there were going to be voicemails that's what they were going to be but it just like the pacing of it was never going to work out cuz these things are meant to be bam to Tory's only response is just a sigh yeah right okay you and then the sound of a dump truck of money outside his house all right let's go let's do this physical media is Forever by laser D I'm just saying I know it was stolen but it was still good music right yeah because it was stolen from better artists okay specifically this is about Kai's score isn't it yeah this is about Kai Kenji Yamamoto God I hope it's Yamamoto I always get Yamamoto Yamamoto mix up yeah Kenji Yamamoto he uh did the score for Kai um as well as budok Kai and now both of those have different music because but they because they did sound so good here's the thing that kills me to death bro is that you all the way to death in buok Kai it is so obvious he was plagiarizing like painfully so why in the [ __ ] did they get him for Kai stole from Black Sabbath uh stole from uh Cowboy bbop of all there's just a ton of tracks where people Point Pink Floyd hell if you go back to his music in like the boten series holy wow the guy has a c like list of songs he just flat out copyed which is why they sounded so good yeah that's why they were really good but it's weird that toway didn't have oversight over that to make sure that they weren't doing that but I mean they always know what they're doing you know what did it he plagiarized Avatar yeah the uh the movie not the show yeah so they what song did he playe from that one there's a battle song it's it's uh I'd have to either way it got [Music] caught he got caught and he got [ __ ] I can't remember a single song from that movie that's fine but it's there were blue people doesn't matter you got caught got him what about the dub score oh yeah let's start that flame warus hereu oh my God we're all going to die that's right butol this is my reflection of uh Frieza on the blade I would have done that I'm mad that I didn't it wouldn't have even been that hard I love this as a Kai joke by the way because Kai has always been very Snappy and this is so slow and deliberate well because like if you watch Kai and then Kai 2 we didn't just want to do kai 3 as the exact same thing because at some point it gets old it's we're just doing the same thing again especially with I think Kai 2 of that style I don't know how much better you can get than that you know what I just realized Kai y Kai 3 we slow it down to get wordier just like in season 3 hey it's appropriate come on damn it there we go there we got it that's a lot of episodes cut so what's your deal I'm here because we have no female fan base well you do now you need to be adorable she's like taking care of him and he's all like doting I guess this is a good point point to bring up why we decided to cut this in two and that's because we like the kais to be a very specific pace and that pace if push past a certain limit can get very exhausting yeah I've I've always in my head season 3 is actually two seasons because you have like this huge divide between like the Android stuff and the cell stuff but it is still one overarching story like it there there are things that are introduced at the very beginning that are not taken care of until cell is over so I I look at this one and the actual zplot it starts with Frieza it starts with Frieza landing and then that's just a m let's be honest it really kind of starts with trunks like cuz like that that's the real through line of this series like this season so once Trunks goes home it's over yeah so we decided to split it at cell because I think one it it kind of paced it out a bit better and two this would have been a 13-minute video of nonstop jokes if not oh yeah and that would have been like people would have like it's like a roller coaster like it's really cool I'm sure sure there are people out there like no no I I kind of like it that way but it's like yes but also if we do only half we can release that video and then do another video later there's also that I mean there there is the idea of like having more videos to put out and not like uh putting it all out at once I I hate to tell yall but that is something that like content creators have to consider hey can I get more content out of this yes I can there you go but yeah that's why uh this was cut into half wait aren't we going to make this two separate videos so we can have more content no I I I don't think we'll do that if we do that obviously no we already how long has this one been running I know 16 minutes but hey anyway give money receive Dragon Balls only shooting stars break them the joke is he sang the entire it's clean I can I can only see like a little bit of fraying at the edge right there where you can see it kind of like slope yeah but otherwise I oh my God I spent so much time I didn't get an to take the belt off your brother yeah we got to put back on Goku it's and before Gohan got that Lex Luger push oh no he did and don't get me wrong don't get me wrong I am in the camp of I love Gohan being a loving father to his kids to and you know a husband to his wife and living a peaceful life I'm okay with that that's fine but the store here pulls him up to the top keeps him there for about 5 minutes and then it's like all right Goku you're back in bye Gohan bye son just k win back brother I need you to I'm going to have to push you out of the spotlight real quick just by the way I learned how to do what you do while I was dead also one better I could have ended this story seven times by now why didn't you do it it's all about me me me Goku yeah for like look I am a ma like I I was a massive Gohan Stan as a kid I to this day the cell SG is still my favorite Arc of Dragon Ball and it's mostly because of like that emotional build up to Gohan going Super Saiyan 2 and just being so holy [ __ ] but that is the emotional highlight the absolute peak of his story yeah it kind of is and that and honestly as much as I don't like how it ends up like shaking out I'm like some people are always like oh you just don't want Gohan to be happy I'm like no I just want the story we didn't write the I'm happy with him being being like a nerd that can still kick some ass if he needs to I I loved Dragon Ball super super superhero still think it's a weird name uh damn that was it yeah yeah oh come here come here come here come here come here come here come here we loved making it we loved making you laugh and thank you so much out of all the things out there for watching you chose to spend some time watching this kind of stuff yeah honestly I I I sometimes think about the millions of views these have gotten and think about how long the videos are and wonder how much potential human time we have sucked out of the universe thank you for allowing us to suck your time out of the universe uh like it's it's it's crazy to me that so many people would come to us as a source of like Comfort or enjoyment and it's it's honestly legitimately an honor I I one of the highest compliments that could ever be paid to us is always like hey when I'm in a rough rough place or just kind of in a down mood I like watching your show and it gets me in a good mood and I'm like I think about all the shows I watched that do that for me and to have someone say hey that thing you made did did that for me it's like [ __ ] dude I I wish I could tell that to the people who made shows that I really like you know I wish I could tell them to their face I know I'm just another person there but it really does mean a lot so just know that the love you guys have rained down on us has been very kind it really has been not sure if I want to say anything here cuz I know the I know when we you know that at 60 we said something profound yeah I mean here's the thing here's the problem doing these out of order cuz I'm thinking to myself when I get to the end of 60 I'm going to be oh my God this is a prequel that's why it's so weird yeah I'm gonna get I'm gonna get the episode but this is the last one released so okay well okay then I'm gonna say something very much about the commentaries and I'm Gonna Save my feelings on the show for 6 Fair okay the this has been so neat I remember when we started the commentaries I was so not into it yeah you you were kind of against it when I first pitched it a little bit if only just because you know the idea of going back through all this stuff I kind of just felt like wow we're really just going to drag back through that huh and honestly I'm so glad we did because being able to just sit down shoot the [ __ ] talk about the thing that we made go and relive some of those moments together was really really nice and and the fact that was lny like in the end Lanny he really did push for it and even I was a little bit hesitant and the fomo was crazy for me because I couldn't watch the videos because it would drive me [ __ ] insane I am I am really glad that we were able we happy that we were get sorry but continue your thought get [ __ ] it's my moment it's my I know thought that's next um but uh no it's just thanks so much for watching the commentaries honestly I wasn't even sure how many people would like watching them and then suddenly a bunch of people turned out and that's just like 2 million subscribers shut the [ __ ] up not believe it hey I'll be laughing if we're actually at there by now that'd be really funny mine yeah like there's only one other maybe two other people I've known for as long and it's it's a big reason why when I say like you know you guys aren't my friends you guys are my brothers we have made like you guys made my adulthood this is like you are fundamentally a part of my identity as each of you out there who helped [ __ ] like make this what it is it's astonishing to me and and I and I know a lot of people are just going to call it a [ __ ] dumb Dragon Ball parody online but like it is it and it is but it meant a lot to me so it meant a lot we're going to talk a lot about this yeah we'll talk more but but this is I I try and put it this way we did a panel at a convention uh yakan I forget what year um we filled up the room about 2,000 people plus crazy room at the Cobo Center laughing at our jokes and our just our little jokes on different kinds of videos and no matter what what a gift that is to us as performers writers editor all of it what a gift that is to have
