DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE! 😬 | Hammer Effect vs. Black Widow 3.0

what's up guys Bruns Nick's back and it's comparison time I don't normally do a lot of comparisons ball to ball as you've noticed on my channel we're going to look at the Black Widow 3.0 Hammer with hk22 versus the new effect with the Huntsman core and hk22 in the brand new additive with cohesion Pearl so obviously two very different bowling balls we're going to throw them heads up we're going to see the differences and reaction with specto running and of course see all the data but before we get to that please subscribe to my channel if you haven't already now let's see black widow 3.0 versus Hammer effect all right we're going to look at effect versus Black Widow 3.0 I've gotten asked countless times about comparisons and for the most part I don't do them I used to do all the time but not anymore I've kind of focused my channel on more education and reviews so that's the route we're going also check the merch it's an election year be sure to get your votes in for Bruns Nick and Dasha so I'm going to look at the hammer effect we're going to throw different different parts of the lanes we're going to look at the specto data but we're not looking to see these balls be exactly the same now are we this is a very different kind of comparison one is a strong asymmetrical ball with hk22 solid the other one is hk22 Pearl both asymmetric this ball actually got its design from the core from the gas mask core and the vibe core the best parts of that core will put together and you get the Huntsman core so let's throw some shots with effect and then we're going to switch over to the Black Widow so let's get lined up with this effect not bad not bad at all so we're bowling on Crown drel pattern it's a 43t pattern 13 to1 ratio a lot of oil in the middle not a whole lot on the outside it's what I always Bowl on so now that we got the strike lined up with the let's switch over to the Black Widow I put it back to factory finish threw a few shots just to kind of equalize the shell a little bit throw in the other one a little bit so I figured it was fair to throw this one as well so let me throw in the same shot there hopefully try to get in the same and we're going to talk about performance differences that I think we'll see so that was just a little bit inside Target let's throw another one I need to get it out a little bit to the dry you know that one kind of went through the oil a little bit about a board board and a half at the break point there so nice wide rack here let's get this ball out a little wider it's a little wider for sure okay let's see what we got there with specto so those two shots were pretty well right on top of each other but since we're throwing it so close to the friction the balls see it and they roll a little more forward both balls rolled forward in that scenario so what you'll see I think in this video as the time goes on is that the entry angle on a black widow will be more than an effect but the difference between entry angle and impact angle will switch over to the effect the effect will have a higher impact angle because it'll Reserve more energy and still hook on the back end so let's move five from there and try it again what a shot what a bowler now if there's anything we know from watching a couple effect videos is that the effect is not afraid of boil it's a shiny ball that still performs and grips the cohesion additive with the hk22 Pearl is what gives it that grip on the lane so the flare on these two bowling balls is going to be a little bit different the difference in differential is about eight points and after drilling I think the black widow gives up a little bit higher so let's try the effect same Zone let's try to swing it to the same part of the lane oh man Stone 7even let's look at it yeah that's what we're kind of seeing we're seeing that effect come off that spot harder and they say hey well which ball hooks more well when you get into heavier oil the Black Widow is going to hook more if you use more surface it's going to create a little more friction early so this is a ball that you can go down to from the Black Widow 3.0 when it hooks too much and you need something to get down the lane just a little bit longer before it goes this ball comes off the spot a lot harder that was a good spot for this let's throw another couple shots in here I'm not going to go crazy and keep going all across the lane here all right kind of force that one through the Zone a little bit more let's try to do that with the black widow try to force it through the oil a little bit see if it picks up better because of that duller surface now the effect has a compound surface 500 1,500 compound and the Black Widow is 500 1,200 000 so a lot of difference in surface there that's good okay so that one Wiggles just a little bit so that shot was about a half board in and a little bit fast about a half mile a little bit faster so that's the reason for that two pin or eight pin I should say but that two pin kind of hit so I think I just overthrew that one Let's uh relax a little bit and throw it better that's too grabby that's okay I'm not perfect I'm not a robot but let's look at the numbers anyway let's see if I was even close speed was more spot-on obviously I gave it a little Loft I kept it a little bit more inside a little bit less launch angle I think let's move another five let's really open up the angle and see what uh this uh ball can do here now if I remember right Black Widow was great like in the middle part of the lane still did fine in the m in the left but good shot yeah that ball does really well right there so we're going to throw a effect there we're going to see what kind of numbers we get in comparison I'm going to try to throw it right on top of it and do everything the same that's the whole key all right thought that one got out to like four board five board let's try that little in okay I think that was a little inside the target let's take a look that was actually pretty spot-on as far as shot goes there's not a whole lot of difference between those two what we saw was the Black Widow digging a little bit early and the effect going a little bit longer just as we planned it just how we designed them isn't that weird all right let's throw one more from [Music] there what I want to kind of do is just maybe throw a block of shots like three shots with this one three shots with the other one look at that pin action look at that pin action let's throw another one I like sending pins around that's for dang sure throw two more shots with this and we'll switch to Black [Music] Widow wider my gosh another Stone 7even now as I've used this ball over the last few weeks I've noticed something with this ball this ball hits harder than a lot of my other bowling balls it's very very noticeable that crack of the pins something about this ball is different I don't know what it is but like as my buddy Charles of the hype says it's just different man so let's throw one more shot let's really get into this one I'm going to try to really rip the third one oh yeah it did all right let's switch it over so we got one shot in one shot per pretty good and then the third one I kind of cranked on so we'll try the same thing with black widow all right three shots and we'll call it [Music] good that's that wide okay little wide so what you notice on some of the stronger balls is like they need a little bit of oil to retain that axis rotation and when you send them out wide you get it to go roll forward and when a ball rolls forward into the pins it's not usually good unless it's perfectly High flush which that one was not so I paid the price left a 710 it's going to be an open come on Nick good shot great all right third shot here we're going to rip on it we're going to give it the business at the bottom as I like to say pump myself up like a bodybuilder does and they go to lift heavy weights all right it's out wide that's just a little slower to respond out there you know that effect really picked up a lot harder saw the friction faster that one was a little bit slower to respond and that's kind of where you're going to get hk22 solid hk22 pearl big difference core numbers aren't AR completely difference with these two but how they respond on the lane with the new additives and the effect versus the Black Widow 3.0 I
