Don't do this to your PS5, It's already a very common mistake

what's going on everyone and welcome to our first ever tips and tricks video for the ps5 today i'm going to show you a common mistake that you should avoid when setting up your playstation 5 for the very first time now i'm not going to mention any names but i've already seen a lot of reviewers instagrammers and youtubers setting up their playstation 5 in the vertical position without utilizing the provided dedicated stand and it's very easy to think that the stand is only useful when using the console horizontally but nope this is actually just as important in the vertical position as well and believe me i get it the first thing that everyone wants to do when they get a new playstation is to open it up and start playing but trust me when i say that you do not want to forget this step and here's why at the very base of the playstation 5 you do have a very smooth flat surface and this can allow your system to stand vertically without utilizing the stand but that doesn't mean that you should because if you do this i've noticed that the console will pretty much just slide and move around with basically any sudden movement and if this happens you run the risk of pulling or even tipping over the system when using something like a charging cable for example but as you can see with utilizing the dedicated stand you do have some very nice rubber feet on the bottom which will prevent this from happening so step one you need to first use both hands to rotate the stand which does reveal a secret compartment for the mounting screw now it does take a bit of work to get the screw out in fact i did end up breaking the small plastic piece which holds the screw in place but once it's removed you can rotate the console front side down and then remove the screw hole cap from the base of the system then you are able to mount the stand and then secure it tightly with the provided screw and lastly i recommend placing the screw hole cap inside the secret compartment so you don't lose it there's actually a nice little spot for it but that's it it's literally that simple and just by taking these few extra minutes to secure the stand to your playstation 5 you could potentially save yourself from a very expensive accident hopefully you guys enjoyed this video and found it useful or at least interesting and if you did make sure to leave a like rating on the video comment below to let me know what you think and as always don't forget to subscribe and ring the bell for post notifications i'll see you guys
