I have written many miles on my Harley through many different states cities towns but I had never had a chance to ride in Canada that is until now and I must say that we have now officially left our mark in Canada Canada's landscape is beautiful and breathtaking in every way many of the roads and highways are absolutely amazing to ride and they have left the permanent pictures in my head leaving me with a thirst to ride in Canada once again someday and I guarantee I will once again the memories I most cherished though are that of Brotherhood and the unbelievable brothers the patron members of law-abiding biker media that I got to meet and hang out with in Canada to ride with to talk with these Canadian brothers took us in like family and showed us genuine hospitality like no other that is the law-abiding biker community at its best the motorcycle and majority than 99 percenters yes it is a biker revolution this is a documentary and story of the great men true friends and real brothers I wrote to Canada with and through Canada with and what we experienced along the way this is our six state Canada motorcycle trip [Music] [Music] I guess I'll start my story here why well I don't know because heck it's my story look what the cat dragged in this morning meeting us at Starbucks right there Jeff how you feel smartest decision coming back with us yep you're right yeah yeah oh I can't wait to hear I'm good I can't wait to see him dude yeah I can't wait to hear their debacle stories from last night you know we were smart done Starbucks headed back to the hotel I meet up with the guys everybody should be getting ready to go sounds like a pretty rough crew some of them this morning Rob looks a little peak in this Robbie how you doing bud no I ain't feeling this morning golden you don't look as bad as Robbie do you have any advice that you would give to Rob about last night no I think he did good I don't know what to say just really disappointed Darryl's on his way here apparently he's not feeling too well either I'm quite a knight and a light fish Montana producing last siren okay so I didn't realize Mike who arrived last night he's staying in a different hotel he's from the north crew he apparently had a rough night like a few of them so we're going up to his hotel see if we can give him a little hand and assist in getting going this morning there's his bike and so we begin our six-day journey oh yeah nothing like the excitement of day one of a trip got a saddle up meet the guys at a local convenience store my brother's as usual law dog has us all squared away with a ride plan and emergency contact information fuel up water up say hi we got to get on the road have a long day ahead through Washington State to the north destination Nelson BC 342 miles six hours 10 minutes saddle time with a border crossing and let's ride let's have fun okay and whatever you do when you meet a Canadian you need to talk Canadian I feel I feel Canadian I will say so everything you say they love it Canadian just say hey at everything or a beaut try to do that while you're there and there's a beaut Canadians love it it'll get you far talk Canadian a lot of nothing out here but this is a Yakima Washington training center and it's all just tons of miles and miles of military operations area the Yakima training center we're on our way to win nachi we got to pick up the rest of the guys that are going on this trip with us there this is blue and pass on our way between Yakima Washington and Wenatchee Washington if you ever get to ride blue at pass it is stunning just freeze the soul freeze the spirit if this is any indication of what our trips gonna be like man [Music] and what a great first leg of the trip here in Wenatchee Washington got a pickup Popeye and Sturgis Jeff hey doing Popeye you can see a buddy did you tear that restroom up I'm checking it go ahead oh my god dude seriously Oscar is here to be Sturgis Geoffrey Canada Jeff this year river paralleling us as State Route 97 either side is always an awesome ride [Music] and after getting held up in some construction it's time to drop down some awesome windy roads right into Keller Washington because we got a ferry to catch [Applause] [Music] [Music] welcome to Republic this is the thriving metropolis of Republic got it all right bill the thriving metropolis thing you know about out of hand here [Music] oh yeah Robbie and my peeps in there bro oh yeah Republic we met all the ladies in Republic that was all two of them feel like you know I'm in a western movie in this town bro yeah doesn't it it's got a it's got a Western vibe in Canada if you hook up with the Queen bro dinner on me every night but you got to get her number well is that the queen up there no there's a queen there we go lunch at Madonna's barn grill in Republic Washington they were not ready for this big group because it took forever to get our food head on north to the Canadian border like we're entering the Colville National Forest these roads definitely getting sketchy all patched over potholes pretty rough so doing well after lunch some beautiful writing beautiful corners and roads until we got slammed with a 15-mile hailstorm and torrential downpours never fails because how'd that rain and hail feel on your bare skin it was awesome I don't like that you know they're still wet I'm still a little bit this just we don't kid around though we we just ride right just power through how was that rain for you Indian John I feel like Powers Washington State Canadian border via stay around 395 heading into Canada I had to do that come on guys had to do that better get all my stuff out here my passport oh sorry about that bro just alcohol no thank you alright thank you he didn't like the passport in my mouth you said maybe next time don't put the passport in your mouth fair enough I agree I just wasn't thinking about it alright [Music] highway 3 door [Music] scream dropping down into Nelson BC here the prestige in what do you think the story is lurch I think that Rob's did not update his GPS unit the other go wrong turn Len that's happened before there comes the lost crew to roll it in here can't wait to hear this story what happened you stopped where to talk about it beer debating whether you guys got lost in your GPS we just went right by it we all talked off that the credit card you found at lunch did you ask if they have enough weights in your weight room for him we're not sure if you have enough weight weights for Popeye no comment you know our breakfast tickets and I know I did not get an extra on me know you'll take both of them into eat for two yeah while you're sleeping 3:04 hey Ruby her neighbor hey neighbor honey I'm home where we going to dinner boys hey guess what Leo's alright why I didn't know we were at a vagina convention I thought were on a motorcycle trip so I was in a shower later if appropriate I didn't know there was rules hey I thought this pizza place was right around the frickin corner bro you need to do kilometers Hey jaywalking is illegal in Canada don't you know a try that in New York or somewhere you got beer on how clean they got beer on top oh yeah this is nice thanks for the hook-up sit right down Oscar thank you laughs this guy an ID you at 91 paddywhack I was gonna say this on sale got dark out look at that sunset what's the weather doing tomorrow 82 and sunny no chance of rain yeah no chance of rain today either well so we got rain all right guys gotta call it a night and - the short storm we got caught in the day was absolutely stellar we had a great ride and beautiful scenery and a lot of laughs along the way that is what riding with friends is all about I closed my eyes and could only dream about what tomorrow would bring and day two were leaving Nelson BC destination whitefish montana 257 miles about the five hours saddled time with the border crossings I'm ready for day two I'm ready for breakfast yeah yeah I didn't get this Chevy by not eating ready Oh Oscar I'm beautiful [Music] all right that's right day two Nelson BC we're going to Whitefish Montana oh yeah some bug slide action don't run without the slide boys law-abiding biker store so we headed out of Nelson BC and what a beautiful start to the day the guys riding in t-shirts at 9 o'clock in the morning as this day was to bring 90-degree temperatures we rode up highway 3a along Kootenay Lake towards a ferry we had to catch highway 3 is a must ride if you can ever get here the scenery is breathtaking the roads are maintained and have a ton of great corners for motorcycle enthusiasts you can look out and see beautiful Kootenay Lake and we made it to our old waiting Ferry it was time to relax kill a little time and show with the people nice addition cuz yeah oh yeah Rowan that Canada no bro let him know represent my body banker baby oh yeah putting it on the sticker bus nice the cool bus nicely done cuz stopped in bail for waiting for the ferry to cross lake nice dude when I scream up gross tracks ice cream its Canadians fabulicious is the Canadian ice cream better than American ice cream no everything Americans better Cochise he worked out this morning he's good they have enough waits for you bro they did I was good sweet I slept now that guy in that van listens to lab bro the cool bus store look at that lab sticker on the back imagine that in Canada Wow which would be seizures in the whose garden anyhow BC Ferries does get Ferrari warning for motorcycles nice the problem is were a bunch of criminals anyway enjoy your hay trip so just watch that gravel on the world yes been a lot of accidents on there because people have been taking it too fast and they slip out on the rocks and gravel on their feet all right finally [Music] and if you ever get a chance to ride the ferry across Kootenay Lake I strongly suggested it's hard to put into words just how beautiful the scenery was but it will remain one of my highlights of this journey God gave us a truly beautiful and perfect experience the fresh air and Breeze in our faces just topped it all off and I think I had a permanent smile stuck on my face [Music] [Music] [Music] after we wrote off the ferry we entered right into paradise we headed north of highway 3a towards Creston BC this highway is a must ride and should be on every bikers bucket list this highway is highly regarded as one of the best roads to ride in North America and I must strongly agree after riding it myself of course the green lush scenery riding along the lake the perfect the weather the well maintained roads the length of the ride and of course twisty after twisty make this truly a bikers paradise while riding this road in a trance I couldn't help but ask myself can it get any better than this as we were warned by the locals though do be cautious of loose gravel around corners from the rain washing it over the road [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] to [Music] so real-deal guys we got pulled over here on our way to Crescent up Highway 3/8 and Popeye had a mechanical something go on it Jeff just a little chewing gum is all you need on that yeah so common problem guys on these is this is that's why you just carry zip ties looks like Jeff had some and maybe lurch but the linkage will pop off and it's you got to have something to tie it back on so it happens I've seen it before get it guten tight hey I'm just gonna fish it off with some Gorilla Tape all right just like that back up and running prepared so we took highway three all the way up were and crested now and I think we're gonna maybe get something to eat here as my guess and here we are hey folks how are you very very nice to meet you buddy no it's just we just rode up 3a oh my god 300 curves an hour and happy I believe it a whitefish montana tonight and then we're gonna bump out a whitefish montana and we're headed back up in here over to cochran alberta hey nice meeting you take it easy have a good good day looks like reading at Jimmy's Pub and Grill and Creston well sir oh yeah dude [Music] decent beer selection that's a bonus lurch hooking me up always trying to film and print and film gear breaking all the time on me and lurch as a handyman Australian usin Gorilla Tape and fix one of my GoPro mounts patron John Lister who's a patron member of law-abiding biker media one of our members in the private Facebook group getting to meet him up here in Canada he recommended that place where we ate lunch that's what's great about having connections on the law-abiding biker community and the private Facebook group and everything that's involved with being a patron member as the communication that goes on and always having somewhere wherever you go out of country in countries throughout the United States play I save an out of country here up in Canada isn't that private Facebook er we always have connections and people to hook up with and you can give a shout out I'm coming through this area on this day does anybody gonna be there and we have patrons riding together and meeting up on their own of course we meet our patrons as law abiding biker itself but it's great to see those type of connections and friendships forming and bikers whether with a club or not having access to meeting other bikers as you're going through there's through there area and the hospitality hook it up for lunch a beer or whatever it may be I never knew that's what a law-abiding biker patron group members and the private Facebook group and all that was going to turn into it's kind of evolving as of this very day it's always evolving in there so get hooked up become a patron member you'll have access to a whole bunch of stuff we love having you aboard so crossing the Canadian border back into the good old US of a northern Idaho I won't put it in my mouth this time lurch I don't know if US Customs is anymore they might not like it either one passport [Music] hey how you doing good so there we are through the border back into the US of A via looks like highway US 95 and northern Idaho make it our way to Whitefish Montana a short break in Bonners Ferry Idaho no hostess products in that entire convenience store no little Debbie's either did you see the cashier I think she was going to rape Popeye I've never seen Popeye run from anything but he's a man from that this guy here is a trouble he's wanted he's wanted in 15 States and Canada now yeah we just came out of Canada straight up pop I will see you later we're leaving we're leaving Popeye we'll catch up with you later know you like them but you don't want to write no oh why everybody thinks that and I'm like now they would have a little red light on it recording close you too thank you appreciate it oh yeah please please gonna get raped by the clerk dude not straight up dude hey I'm gonna flick your meat off it was bad get your meat off my bag hey get your meat my bag my bag get your meat off my bag sure it's good for your health which one everyone is good for sure right I call others yet that's true it does melons what is it here's bit sports practice colds runny nose like one cigar no you can have one cigar no once the baby finally falls away one crack pipe a day you're good that's what they say every day it says no smoking within 50 feet lurch now you're at 51 feet you're good yeah let's do it what hey hang on Popeye has some world advice 5 things women like her he buries 3 things women light up big money big muscles yeah boom nice I think that's a really good decision as a Motors officer to ride without a helmet bro it's a good job in Idaho just cuz it's legal don't let me guilt you into wearing it but I'll always make good decision correct true like the hostess thing eating too many hostess just got back into America Eric look I feel freer already veterans of Iraq freedom orchard that support your bad guys on highway 2 u.s. highway 2 pretty good road and enjoyable ride it definitely warmed up from where we were it's not too bad but about 80 degrees all right so we popped on to like cuca nice I believe it's pronounced in Idaho like crookedy says Scenic Byway I think it's 37 is what I believe it is highway 37 right along the river still about 80 degrees beautiful headed towards Montana Whitefish Montana [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I feel it [Music] [Applause] [Music] still snake it along like Kootenay looks like rapport for a photo op of some sort [Music] it was a photo up yeah I know but it's a pee break I guess instead emergency pee break oh yeah Sturgis Jeff is out no helmet yeah not stop reverse [Music] [Music] [Applause] still coming through Montana here on the US Highway 93 we split up the groups a little bit just puttin down just enjoying the scenery all laid-back feet out on the highway days purrs control set to living the dream so gotta cross highway 93 in Montana was beautiful we split up I got a lurch as my wingman over here still we split up at smaller group just because it was a long haul and it's Canada I set our crews and spread out a little bit everybody kind of kicked back relaxed we do that sometimes so we are it looks like entering a white fish and still just a beautiful day drop temperature down to about 75 coming into whitefish here whitefish montana here we are kind of a cool-looking town oh yeah nice here's the boys [Music] good right boys that's beautiful huh man that was nice all right here we are what firebrand is that the hotel yeah the firebrand hotel in Whitefish Montana where it [ __ ] Craig what's up I got a room alright sweet pretty nice way too nice for us weights you're nice for us John oh absolutely yeah they're gonna regress they're gonna kick us out for sure just look at us hey Rob can we move it along here please do it oh not bad these doors are all self closing and I can't I can't get in the bank doors my suitcase dude oh let's go get that off made some light oh yeah let there be light not bad hey it's a wait this place is way too nice for us so if you come to whitefish montana buyer brand hotel definitely just impression so far a very nice place to stay so first thing I do when I get in the hotel room is because I have all my fear film gear is start looking rapidly for wall outlets and take them all up before Oscar can take any first phone cuz I need to fill charge on my film gear John you look just like the cat that ate the canary just like completely satisfied a long motorcycle road beautiful [Music] it was whether it was good and after all that you're sitting with a cold beer life don't get any better does it the highway 3a was awesome we're gonna have to yeah I noted that one grouping up in the lobby of the firebrand Hotel so we can figure out where we're doing this dinner thank you but Jeff would you think about that ride today you know what it reminded me of of coming out of Logan Utah that first road we got that's what I was thinking in my mind I was like Jeff Jeff John and me are thinking this is exactly there's just a perfection yeah I know we did I know I lame even though I was at the lead I still blame law dog you're right we should have stopped for photo ops I agree in here to check it out I guess a couple of our guys but this is good okay good all right okay thank you appreciate it take it easy man apparently we changed our mind craggy range by the way don't let these guys give you any crap just talk back after another yeah Bam Bam Bam eight courses it was it was awesome it wasn't just good it was awesome and I had to run back to the hotel real quick to upload some footage and stuff to the laptop but I'm headed back apparently the guys ended up at another I'm looking at it over here in the distance at another bar of sorts and kickstands are up for a little bit late tomorrow so the guys are having pull the pure pressure we're to close it down we're heading for another one they closed down boy is that VIP VIP right here yeah well you look at that there's the red rope yeah right here my media it's a VIP treatment right here in Whitefish Montana so we closed one down yeah nd I knew where we're at photos that down but a lot of the boys are going out get it adjusting a face on there thank you sure yep look good I've already got it on there many times ready to we closed one down Oscar yeah but we think other guys are still going out there good strong buddy but it's going strong I gotta go to bed but yep we're headed back cuz I got to get up early in the morning I got to get up and eat doughnuts and yeah so we left him behind oh yeah that happened and that was the end of a phenomenal day well the end of my day that is but not that of Heather's and yes they would pay dearly the next morning for the choices they made as you saw earlier in this documentary I've come to learn one thing that every cross-country motorcycle trip we go on has at least one night like this and that makes for some very funny memories and stories I had never been to Whitefish Montana before and didn't really have any expectations as I knew very little about it now that I've been I can highly recommend it as I stay over point for any bikers that may be traveling through the area for a small town with a small population of only 7,000 it has great restaurants hotels and well as we found out a great nightlife or maybe the nightlife was because of the boys who knows the town is clean and well kept and the people are friendly the reason for all the nice amenities is that as home to a ski resort a big mountain called Whitefish Mountain Resort and this is day three although it was a rough start for several members of the group we did finally get going we left whitefish montana and our ultimate destination was Cochrane Alberta we were traveling 291 miles about six hours saddle time with a border crossing back into Canada we had plan on writing an alternate route as Glacier National Park had not opened for the season yet at the last minute we got word that Glacier National Park opened this very morning and I was stoked we could now ride highway 2 through it that just felt like destiny and that it was meant to be [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] lurch you know that frees my soul place your national park right through that or at free your soul [Music] [Music] [Music] how's this little guys that's right worry ride that's friggin awesome thank you what's his name Tucker Tucker hi buddy nice are you riding from okay well good with your riding around here for you hey honest guy it's all right man the myth the legend what's up buddy perfect perfect where's Russ and Kris down there too we had a great time visiting at the summit of Logan Pass but had to get going and make time as we still had a long day ahead of us with our ultimate destination being Cochrane Alberta words can hardly describe how beautiful the ride was coming up the south side of Logan Pass and all of the clips you saw speak for themselves I only have four simple words for you and those are you must ride it riding down the Northside was not nearly as scenic but in no way am i complaining it's hard for any road or scenery to beat what we had just experienced the north side is still a great ride with plenty of good roadway and scenery we stopped for lunch at st. Mary Lodge and resort and met with a few more of our awesome patron members these patrons we met up with so far this day are all from the United States and rode to meet us and ride into Canada with that is the awesome community that is being built we all ate lunch and had some time to visit and reflect on our trip through Glacier National Park the food was good and the beer was cold and that's all that really mattered we could not sit too long though and needed to make a beeline for the Canada border we had our Canadian patron members waiting for us outside Cochrane Alberta we laid down the miles and rode hard we made it to the Canadian border and made our crossing we took a very quick break at the border and moved on all I can say is that it cooled down a lot as we headed north and we just planed laid down the miles and rode hard there is nothing really remarkable about this part of our journey and there are just a lot of flat straight roads but that's okay we're still in Canada riding motorcycles we throttled through and made a much-needed stop in Claire's home Alberta at a gas station so we're in Claire's home Alberta at a convenience store it's a quick makeshift dinner and we're going to get in Cochrane late are these special Canadian gummies so it says world's best gummy worms I got a gummy worm these gummies I'll try it okay thank you it's not the world's best coming no the ice treaties Albanese albanese world's greatest no worms what happened to our nice weather alert quick gasps stop and all of a sudden windy and temperature drop there was you doing good with your trainer man in the wind okay okay after our makeshift dinner we throttled down to the north another one and a half hours headed towards Bragg Creek Alberta to meet up with several of our awaiting Canadian patrons of brothers the weather continued to get cooler on us the roads were fairly straight but the scenery was definitely getting better as we headed north and we made it to bright Creek about 30 miles south of Cochrane Alberta and our Canadian patrons were there awaiting us and what a welcome it was it was really nice to be welcomed into Canada by these patron members I had met several of them years before at Sturgis but there were several that I had not personally met yet except in our private patron only Facebook group and of course it was Braille hugs all the way around and time for everybody to get acquainted as tomorrow we would spend the entire day together yep and just when you think it can't get any better these guys were prepared custom law abiding biker patron right Alberta 2017 t-shirts to go around for everybody on the ride and let me tell you these were a big hit [Music] and although the meat was nice we had to end it fairly quickly as it was 8:30 p.m. and we still needed to get north about 30 minutes to Cochrane Alberta and a couple of the Canadian patrons joined our group and headed north with us as they were also going to spend the night in Cochrane alright so late night Boston Pizza quick dinner cuz we got in so late and checking in what is this Days Inn Oscar flirt know you'll have a beer with me too hard last night I've known her just teasin we were in late and had to get up early so we didn't have much time in cochrane but I did like the town Cochrane is a town in the Canadian province of Alberta the town is located 18 kilometers west of Calgary city limits along Highway one a with a population of about 18,000 people Cochrane is the second largest town in Alberta and one of the fastest growing communities in Canada they say all right day four and short night tired and to get the blood flowing but it is awesome I'm getting excited because it's a patron meet update or we're gonna take a special ride that they have planned for us and when we're done with that we are headed to patron John Patton's house for a barbecue hospitality and we're gonna visit should be a great time and hopefully the rain will hold out we won't get any rain on the right it's you don't ride without the slide I've already sprayed it on my bikes I can't let it dry Lord doesn't wait what you call them Lord is waiting this morning Jonathan Hollen hey what's up my man thanks for meeting us yeah thanks for being here buddy here man where's it so you got here when I really okay that's why I thought yeah I know you've been texting me and so the official 2017 Canada patron meet up and ride day had arrived we throttled down 30 minutes of the South back to bright Creek Alberta we arrived and filled up for the day's ride to come this was the first time this trip that all of our Canadian and United States patrons along with the law abiding biker crew were all in one place and it was all smiles I was super excited to go on this ride that they had personally planned for the day [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh yeah nice refreshment lurch twist his arm lurch yeah that's a little Canadian hospitality right there taking care of us I feel I feel Canadian I will say oh hey I just came out I just came out of nowhere yes the best part about this Indian how this Indian is an Indian writing an Indian yeah he is a real Indian he gives autographs if you want he actually has a house right across the river right here yeah yes Molson take a drink you'll feel Canadian nice dude you feel Canadian bull yeah just a million bucks give me an a fire nur back up the day was proper you're right you have to use it right yeah John just like you fools so we made a quick stop here and John there's people on exercise in the mountain there's people on regular I got to show you but there's people on regular bikes in the middle of nowhere I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't just ride them there's people wrestle on real bikes on stands pedaling in the middle of nowhere basically made for recreation for recreation those are gonna kill you he's riding with you okay loot yourself fine dining fine dining for lunch I don't know I'm taking a turkey stacker in me dude what does that looks the not a lunchable looks like a Canadian lunchroom yeah here Chris yeah fine dining that's it all right that's lunch and after our makeshift lunch at a convenience center in the middle of nowhere we headed out to finish this awesome day right that I did not want to end we ended up looping back into the north side of Cochrane Alberta and headed back South to the Bragg Creek area we were led down some beautiful back roads headed towards our ultimate destination for this day we arrived in Canadian patron John Patton and his lovely wife invited the entire law-abiding biker crew and all the patrons into their home for some true Canadian hospitality then neither I nor anyone else will ever forget they had been preparing for this day and the event was absolute perfection okay now this is some Canadian hospitality John is it it was wow these guys did it up awesome it's all I got to say [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] and John what do you think is that the proper construction on that there TP in this yard well it's looking it's looking like it's pretty sound are we gonna stretch the canvas later tonight or what well absolutely it might look like my underwear but don't be deceived okay one sign shirt for the law-abiding biker studio under guard in this in the bag unfortunately the patron event had to end and we all set our goodbyes we needed to head back to the north to Cochrane Alberta where we'd stay an additional night the right north could not have ended the day more perfectly with awesome temperatures and a Sun working its way down to the west you could tell everyone was in peace and we just simply rode and reflected on this day we reached our hotel and Cochrane and everyone headed in for the night as we had a big day ahead of us the next day day four had officially come to an end [Music] [Music] day five from Cochrane Alberta to Kelowna BC 360 miles seven-hour saddle time another beautiful day can't believe I'm still in Canada I get to ride again [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I feel it [Music] [Applause] [Music] just a quick pit stop along the trans-canada highway nice little break for us and just some great appreciate it now that Oscar had a new battery we all headed towards our hotel in Kelowna BC first though we had to pass our hotel and right across the Okanagan Lake bridge and then turn around and ride back across it to our hotel no this was not planned but hey what beautiful scenery after a long day we were all ready to get checked into our hotel and shower up in preparation for dinner and the night's events to come hey Oscar just FYI just in case it's it's a shower gel douche oh it's a douche bro for you we then headed into downtown Kelowna to search for a place to eat and I honestly knew nothing town or what to expect we are from New York City oh oh yeah yeah from here pedal faster faster how to YouTube faster faster Kelowna is a city on Okanagan Lake in the Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia Canada it serves as head office of the regional district of central Okanagan its name derives from an Okanagan language term for grizzly bear Kelowna is the third largest metropolitan area in the province and ranks as the 22nd largest in Canada with a population of about 200,000 downtown Kelowna is crowded with people and since it is a bigger city it becomes apparent that it has all the big city type problems but on the other hand has much to offer to tourists [Music] [Music] we had a great night hanging out in Kelowna we ate some great food met some nice people enjoyed some cocktails listened some good local music and enjoyed the warm summertime air the city was hopping and needless to say we met some very interesting locals while sitting outside of Fernando's pub what do you think of Kelowna Kelowna Kelowna BC is kind of a wild place I didn't really realize it was this pretty busy nightlife wait we need to hide in our room Oscar before Kelowna eats us alive [Music] the next morning and yes the last day of our trip a smaller group left early in the morning from Kelowna before the rest of us I took up with a group consisting of six in the mid morning hours we crossed the Okanagan Lake bridge and headed out of Kelowna BC we were headed for our home Yakima Washington this is about a 360 mile trip with 6-hour saddle time and a border crossing back into the United States [Music] we crossed the border back into Washington State and headed south on State Route 97 trying to make our way to Lake Chelan for lunch there's not much in this area and it can be rather dry this time of year you pass through many small towns along the way such as Oroville Cordell Ellis Ward and Tonasket as you snake your way along the Okanagan River which you only get a glimpse of once in a while once you get to the Brewster wash in an area the scenery begins to get much better this is where the Okanagan river dumps into the Columbia River at Lake Pateros after a long ride in very hot weather we made it to beautiful Lake Chelan Washington for lunch we ate at BC McDonald's on Lake Chelan and I highly recommend it we've finished our lunch and a beverage and man it up if you ever get to write to and around Lake Chelan I can't recommend it enough we had a nice hot day riding along the lake and what a great ride considering it was our last leg of the trip we rode back along highway 97 over Blewitt pass and it felt nice as the temperatures dropped as usual this is the same exact way we came north when we started this journey six days ago last leg of the trip boys yes my Iron Horse brewery for a Kohlberg's yes thirty minutes from here has decided to end the trip by crashing into my bike and while we're parking highway peg into my crash bar got a little closer I almost put me down look Louis the IPA Irish death police appreciate it Irish you like the I pay better than Irish death and after a cold beverage it was time to call it and head for home about 30 minutes to the south of us others had split off to different areas so it was just lurch and I left we wrote down State Route 823 or the Canyon Road as it's called locally it was a warm summer evening and I couldn't imagine ending a six-day trip any other way stay route 823 follows right along the Yakima River and everything was perfect this evening this road is right out my back door and I write it often just to get away and clear my head I arrived home and was looking forward to sleeping in my own bed it's always bittersweet to end a motorcycle trip but it's always nice to be home safe and sound I will leave you with this sometimes you will never know the true value of a motorcycle trip until it becomes a memory so get out there and ride bike Alex chance you get and that's my six state Canada motorcycle trip story [Music] [Music]
