Dock Fishing Tiny Canals for What ever Bites

all right fishy holic fam welcome back to another episode I hope all you guys are following necessary cautions staying safe and healthy amidst this crazy Kovan 19 virus and today I am down here in Boca Raton I was actually on my way back north to you know eventually New Jersey in New York from Florida but I'm putting the brakes on those travel plans after hearing some pretty intense information from my mom who works at a massive General Hospital in New Jersey and it gave me the chills and today I want to try and get out on the intercoastal in the kayak and we just went to like two or three ramps I had to stop hearing at some breakfast at Panera but those ramps were closed and there's one more ramp that we could check out that is like really close to the road where I'm thinking we could park on the street and like black ops our kayak on the water so I think that's we're gonna do so we're so finish up our brekkie and just even make it happen today all right so we found some parking right there kayaks fully loaded it's just got a wheel it across the street all right and we are off without having to touch anything but our own kayak we're gonna head up this first canal and we're gonna clip off this Rapala and I'm thinking maybe we should try this little juicy looking spool tech so all the canals that were gonna fish today I've already fished and it seems like for whatever reason most of the fish like to sit way in the back so we will take a few casts along the side here but we're gonna definitely mainly focus on really fishing those areas oh my gosh all right well my camera overheated and out of nowhere I was just pitching a little voodoo shrimp along that floating dock and this crazy CUDA came out and just nailed it got him right out on the side of the nose oh man he's ripping you guys missed like the first like two minutes of the battle is insane I had to pull him out of that dock area whoo Oh shucks turret on the end of the nose I think we're good I'm only using thirty pound leader I got to get my BOGO grip out that's crazy oh my gosh oh my gosh she would have already cut me off this line he's like this long is honesty there Eddie would you already cut me off oh yeah I can see it right on the edge of his mouth oh my gosh this is like a little torpedo my god he's barely hooked barely he's taking up a thread literally a thread yeah we got him yeah booty shrimp just popped out oh my gosh that was a close catch oh look at the teeth on that whoo that is a nice really nice CUDA out of this tiny little canal whoo that was an awesome battle all right so that was so awesome I wish you guys saw the bite and the first like 30 seconds to a minute of that fight and you see the GoPro Hero 7 overheats like real easily especially in really hot weather like down in Florida it's like 90 95 today and the camera died and I put on some sunscreen because I'm getting burned out here and I took like two casts along this floating dock here and of course just in the camera wasn't running that fish just nailed it and that was just absolutely awesome it's gonna make the trip so far and it just shows you the potential that we have in these little tiny canals so we're gonna keep at it hopefully we catch some more fish just like that okay well I just took a few more casts or on that same dock we had a few snapper bites nothing and before I forget I just wanted to kind of go over my setup that I call the coot on so I'm using a tsunami carbon shield to seven foot six fast action spinning rod mm so now we backed 10 pound green more power per braid and a 30 pound section of fluorocarbon heater so really light stuff for a fish that size I really just brought this set up hoping you know to use it for Sheepshead snapper [Music] when I'm in need when I'm in me there's something no way to sheep two sheep yeah on the booty shrimp what an awesome catch hekia and that is probably gonna be my part of my dinner and this is easily a keeper so we're gonna film in the cooler and we've got dinner you oh gosh decent fish snapper oh yeah it's a snapper it's a nice one I'm not really sure what kind of snapper this is though might be a small kuvera red snapper I'm gonna put him back in the water immersion I have to do some research I guess looks like that thing would be great on the table all right well I've reached out to my buddy and he said it's a dog snapper really cool fish and they have to be 12 inches he's about 11 and a half or 11 3/4 so you gotta throw him back actually there he goes hmm I was hard to do that fish probably have been so tasty all right we'll try back in there and that same spot maybe it'll be just a slightly bigger one or some nicer mangroves oh my gosh that fish nailed it this is a little mangrove snapper there's another one getting a little bigger on these little mangroves a little snapper alright well that little snapper bite died off so we moved a little bit further south to the next canal and we're gonna I guess just pretty much do what we've been doing work our way in fish the back thoroughly and then fish around some of these other docks on the sides no way a pufferfish ate the voodoo shrimp a big puffer fish hmm well I think I had another little puffer fish rip off the tail this but little bait has been through a lot since fishing down and the keys catching a bunch of fish and catching a bunch of fish up here and I've got another little voodoo shrimp ready to go nice and juicy packed in this bowl package although it's a different color hope they still like this color like if there's gonna be any big snapper right in there he's gonna be the sweet spot there's a fish it's a little one though oh all right well this canal has kind of beat only a couple little snappers while still in my voodoo shrimp - and we threw around the spool attack for a little bit no bites so we're gonna keep on moving all right we made it to our last and final spots this is where it's gonna happen whoo that's the juice right there oh come on snag some weeds perfect cast but got the weeds Oh big CUDA just came out for this why didn't he eat it though what the heck we something over there just bust it on top look at his cooter right here oh you see that that was aggressive he might still eat it again oh my gosh what the that was better than catching them use a little bit smaller than our first one it's crazy how fast they are see and he pulled the hook out from the bait and which what's cool about that is then you have a little bit of wire right there so that CUDA wouldn't be able to cut us and take our bait and he also probably wouldn't be able to cut the little soft plastic tail and all you got to do to reset it as you roll this little winch and pull the hook back into the bait then you push it in there nice and snug and if a fish hits it really hard he's gonna pull that free okay well I can't believe that just happened but there goes like my fairly brand new spool tech I think I actually see it down there on the bottom no way you might be able to save our spool tech oh my gosh we got it look at that it build the braid wrapped like just around the hook how did that even happen we saved our school took I'm looking right there so a fish hit it and he must have went right into these oysters on the piling and that's what cut it off that's how sharp that stuff is that's crazy all right we got really lucky there oh my gosh a giant CUDA just came out and nailed this like a little like probably six inches bigger than the one we call it this morning or earlier gosh I can't be talked got a swing back around and get it another good cast in there dang it well we must have tagged that CUDA just enough to get him to go away and you see the reason I don't think we got him was because this little paddle tail went over the tip of the hook when he ate it which he's just unlucky oh my gosh that's pretty good yep snap provide he took the tail of my spool tech when you buy them though they come with two tails so I have another on right here but let's take a cast in there with a little voodoo shrimp maybe it'll be a keeper there's one that's pretty decent oh yeah that's a keeper so the butt end of my rod here is 10 inches she's about 11 and a half went through this guy in the cooler all right well I think that is about it for us oh my gosh I almost broke my rod we are gonna start heading back to the ramp I really gotta go to the bathroom and it's unfortunate we found some big CUDA up in this like Cove canal area but I just failed to connect with any of them random but I was still pretty cool to see him go after the bait and in the same spot like a couple weeks ago I call it really nice CUDA so I'll switch over to that clip and then I'll see you guys back at the car what is that CUDA all right oh I surprise me crush the fish a holic hidden back finally don't cut me off though cut me off jigs hanging outside of his mouth so we might be good sick that's a really nice size in short CUDA look at those teeth I've got them right in the top of the mouth it's a nice fish right there oh gosh I could've went real bad real quick so sweet she goes cool alright we are back at the truck and pretty close call on that last clip and I just checked the - we do not have a ticket so I guess we were good by parking here all day and using the ramp which was over there and he see how they have like kinda like the barricades there so if you had a boat on a trailer you really couldn't get through there unless you moved the barricades but being that I had to kayak it was pretty cool you just wheel right in there dropping in the water and if any official person came up to me I would just say like how more isolated could I get all by myself out there just catching fish and now I don't have to go grocery shopping to get my dinner got my dinner in the cooler i scaled and gutted the Sheep set in the snapper so I'm looking forward to throwing those hole on
