But I thought like the beat of it like matched like the energy of the movie. - Yeah. - If it makes sense in the context of the movie, I'm like obsessed. - I know, I know the meaning behind The Matrix. So, that was a very good movie. And it's popular for a reason. - You always have those like dreams where people are like "Wake up, wake up, wake up." (Sofia laughs) That freaks me out. As soon as the beat came on, I was like, ah! - Every video of theirs is like obviously different especially depending on the cause but it's just still so intriguing. - I didn't understand nothing. Like I still love like the music Like I love the message but the music is just tough too. Like everything's good. It was like longer in other videos. - This one definitely has a little bit of like a different vibe in it than the other ones. But it still has that like Rage Against the Machine vibe. - He's 22 here. - Oh my goodness. - What's so good about this band is I feel like Rage Against the Machine isn't their music, it's them. Like, and that's not true with a lot of bands. - In the head. - Bullet in the head. - Okay. It's something about, okay. This is something about like people are feeding you maybe. ♪ A bullet in your head ♪ - This is a really cool song. - Yeah. - And the stuff he was rapping about too to be so young and passionate about something like this. - Since their first album. like they still have the same presence compared to when you saw them with like there was like thousands of people in the crowd. - It's not my favorite, just because I feel like the flow of it wasn't really mine. - But chinging and nee-nee-new weren't there as he was like, "Ah," at the beginning. And then they appeared. - He said something about jumping and something. - How high. - How high. - Like, how high do you want me to jump? Like, I'll jump. Just how high? - It's specifically about the government and how they use the media to control the masses. - If Rage Against the Machine was still a thing today you'd best believe they would have made a song about how pointless TikTok was. - Yeah. - They would have been like- - And how the government is stealing all your information and controlling you through TikTok. - Government in cahoots with big corporations guys. - Seeing like them just like that was probably a while ago a bar or like a little club. And they were just like vibing in there. Compared to tens of thousands of people that we just saw - Yeah - Like I thought that's cool. - I really like this band. Like my mom is gonna be really happy with me because I actually enjoy listening to them, so. ("No Shelter" by Rage Against the Machine) - Do you see how many people that is? - Are those people in the back? - [Host] Uh-huh. - Oh my God. - That's so many people. - I would die. - It's so cool how it immediately starts with the drums. - It sounds like guitar but it's more of like a wow-wow. - Wow was like perfect. - Yeah. - Okay. I just like this dude. I just wanna be his friend. (Brooke laughs) - I think the most important points. he is totally speaking about. Like, he is making it clear. ♪ There be no shelter here ♪ - Yo, I'm about to re listen to this over and over until I understand what the hell he's saying. - Is that, is that a flag that they have in the back? Or like a giant painting? - He said something about entertainment and war. Like a difference. - Unfortunately I'm back to where I was. - Oh my lord. Did that- - Unfortunately. - Had something to do with like shelter. Maybe like big, this could be a big stretch but like bombing or something? I don't know. - Like from listening to it you know you're just like vibing. You're just like, "Oh, I like this" da-da-da-da. But when you actually sit and process the lyrics that's like mm-hmm. - I know that there's a message that he's saying but I don't understand the message. (Lucas and Juliana laugh) - So, this song is actually about anti-consumerism and anti-teenage consumerism. Because they're also on the soundtrack for one of the biggest movies, do you think maybe there's some pushback about their message when it comes to stuff like that? - Yeah. - I don't think there's any hypocrisy at all. I think they are using a huge platform that they have to you know say their message. If this is the tool and platform that they've been given, they're not hypocritical at all. - Still gotta have an income somehow. Like there has to be a balance in everything that you do. - Kids watch entertainment like TV. And the kids are gonna be the next grownups. So, they're watching this and they're gonna believe that, they're gonna teach it to their kids, so. - Mm-hmm. - So, that's it. Guys, you've went on the Rage journey. I think again I couldn't really understand the words so I'm probably gonna go back and listen to all these songs again.
