DJI MINI 4 Pro or DJI AIR 3? | Is a Bigger Drone Better?

met [Music] the [Music] he [Music] the way that the Drone actually followed the car  in active track mode behind the trees blows my   mind because it sort of like anticipated which  way the car was going to go and just kept going   that way the air 3 has two different lenses so  you have one times suum which is basically 24 mm   and then you have a three time zoom which gives  you approximately a 70 or 75 mm lens and the one   time zoom looks something like this it's great  to capture those wide epic shots but if you want   to have those compressed shots it's very hard  to get it with a 24 mm lens going up to a three   time zoom though is going to look like this and  I think that a 75 mm lens on a drone definitely   can give you some of those really cinematic shots  when we go up to six time zoom we are cropping in   on the sensor so this is not actually optical  zoom it's digital zoom and the same thing goes   for the nine times Zoom it's just basically  doubling up on the sensor to give you that   really cropped in look but I don't really think  that you should shoot in six time or the nine   times zooms oh crap tap to cancel it was almost  going home I know you need another battery when   it comes to fight time I've been using two  batteries so far and I'm going to say that   it gives me approximately 30 minutes of flly  time per battery when using a lot of different functions back in the forest to do an obstacle  avoidance test with air3 if you haven't seen   the video where I tested mini3 Pro versus Mini  4 Pro head over and check that out before you   watch the rest of this video well maybe go after  this video let's see how it perform I am hoping   that it's going to perform well just as the  Mini 3 and Mini 4 did but I'm also thinking   that it's a little bit of a bigger drone and  it's been a little bit unreliable when it comes   to the active track so we're going to have to  see anyway let's go down here in between the trees let's just hope we don't hear  and down here let's go and up here [Music] down around oh it's still  on us doing a great job following   this round let's do a little bit of a running come on I don't know about you but I think that the  Drone handled this perfectly next test is   going to be me sending the Drone straight into  the for to see if it stops off you go friend I   got faith in you bye come on come on here we  go nice oh stop get keep on going stop STP again ooh wow going back now great back  trusting sensors we got to stop moving a   little bit to the right come on keep going  back nice oh this is a great one it is very   strange because the Drone has been extremely  unreliable at times not like I'm I'm moving   but like nothing is happening but check this out  now that I go up all of a sudden it starts moving   again that's weird you got to do a front  wind an upwards draft and a down [Music] for oh I can't go wi I'm going to give it a 10  out of 10 on the Wind test I'm not really a huge   fan of the size of the air3 when you compareed to  the Mini 4 because the Mini 4 is just like it fits   everywhere it fits in your pocket I think that  the size difference is very obvious when you're   holding them like this the battery pack the remote  the drone shof look at that perfect fit the air3   barely fits down but then we don't have enough  space for the remote and the battery pack so   I mean like that it's we need to have a separate  bag for this and I'm work working on what's in my   camera back video so stay tuned for that so you're  going to be able to see the entire setup but so   far portability wise min4 wins let's see if these  drones Will Blast Pro nah I'm just kidding let's   just test out the 100 FPS in 4k so I have the  air3 doing a little bit of poi with the 3x zoom   and try to capture this explosion in slow motion  explosion in slow motion I'm going to try Ty the   explosion manually with Mini 3 and let the air3 do  the orbit so that we can get two different kind of shots I'm currently standing in the garage  or well the future garage the future Studio   this is going to be the edge of the garage  that's going to be one Edge and the other   one is going to be over there it's very very  hard to Envision how it's going to look like   but sick I'm currently back in the parking  garage to do an active track test of the [Music] DJI wow doing a great job so  far stay a little bit too far though here we go come on  come on come on come on oh yes [Music] nice I didn't really see what happened  when it was flying it in the parking garage and   thought it was very strange that you just dove  into the floor but looking at screen recording   up there remote you can see that just before it  Dives down into the floor it says ambient light   too low turning off obstacle avoidance so I  think that that was the reason why it went   down into the floor if you're flying low light  environments this drone might be a little bit   unreliable but it still did a really good job of  avoiding all the obstacles and tracking the bike   around in the garage when I was testing the Mini  4 Pro in the same garage with the same kind of   lighting I did not get the same kind of message  that ambient light was too low that's going to   be another point for the mini4 pro I want to try  to see if we can get some cool shots of Optimus   it's also going to be important that we don't fly  too high in here because we have a lot of wiring   hanging off on the ceiling and I don't want to get  tangled up first thing I want to do before I take   off is make sure that we set the white balance in  here so that we can just get to the actual shoe   5,500 mainly because we have these daylight open  windows in the ceiling and I think that that is fine good [Music] J [Music] I think that that turned out sick being able to  have that 3x lens definitely helps to get those   detailed shots and make it look more Dynamic than  it otherwise would and if you're is the Mini 4 with 1X lens and as you can see  like it's great to capture those wide shots and   those epic scenes off the mountains and you know  make this parking garage look big and when you're   looking at the 3x lens you can see that it's much  more cropped in and gives it this like compressed   look to it because both drones are standing side  by side right now something that you can do on   a Mini 4 Pro is that you can crop into 3x lens as  well but you're doing it digitally so now we have   the 1X which is the standard and this is what  it looks like with the 2x Zoom but then again   we're not doing this like optically because it's  still a digital cro it and this is what it looks   like when you go up to the 3x zoom on the mini 4  Pro let's switch over to the camera on the air3   this is what it looks like so let me just put  them side by side and you're going to be able   to see for yourself how much of a difference it  does when you have an optical zoom on the air3   compared to a to assume on the mini 4 Pro having  a 3X lens is incredibly useful in many different   scenarios especially when it looks at sharp as the  lens does on the air3 because I remember when the   mavic 3 had a tiller lens for the first time it  looked really soft and was barely usable but it   also comes with the downside of having a bigger  drone and heavier drone which means that you got   to have the right certificate to be able to fly  the Drone and like it takes up too much space   so for me as a content creator and as a Instagram  reeler I really appreciate the size of the Mini 4   Pro the overall functions of this drone is wicked  when you think of the amount of stuff that you can   do with this drone that is almost half the size  of this drone with that said though this drone is   not bad it's a great drone it's even a fantastic  drone but this one is the overall winner when it   comes to the size and the ability to shoot in  true vertical mode cannot recommend this drone   enough I think it's great I think that the Mei  three is great I think that this is good but I   don't see the 3x zo as a necessity in that case I  would probably go with an even bigger drone such   as the mavic 3 Pro because then you get three  lenses instead of two lenses but I would love   to know which drone did you think performed the  best and which drone would you actually buy
