DJ Skee’s Shoe Collection Value Revealed

[Music] when it comes to being passionate about something everybody knows sneakers are at the top of my list as a collector it's gotten to the point where I don't even know how many pairs I own recently I teamed up with Josh Luber and stock ex an app that's a stock market for shoes just so I could take an inventory and get an appraisal of what I have check it out alright this is my boy Josh she started this site called campus which was basically Kelley Blue Book for sneakers it's since evolved to become this incredible property called stock X and I'm a huge fan of and I'm kind of nervous cuz I'm gonna find out what my collection is finally worth for the first time man well I think we all know that there's kind of an elite issue on here and somewhere I don't even know what I have but stock X breakdown what it is yes so stock X is a stock market for sneakers it operates the exact same way the New York Stock Exchange operates as opposed to you just listing a pair for sale buyers can actually bid and say what they want to pay for it and when that matches what a seller wants to sell it for transactions happen automatically it is anonymous so buyers and sellers don't see each other and it is 100 fennec because we physically authenticate every pair of shoes sold our partner this is Dan Gilbert who's the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the idea is for sure after sneakers this should be everything so we call it a stock market of things and the idea is at the end of the day Amazon is an e-commerce site and eBay auction and stock X is a stock market we feel like that's how people should buy everything it's an incredible concept and beyond that you can really go on to the side it's designed so well and for users like myself one of my favorite features is now I can actually keep an inventory of what I have and see what the value of it is in real time meaning if I bought this new pair of the ez-zor Jordans I can know that the price has gone up prices on down and actually value my true collection in a real way but how do you guys kind of value that how do I know the prices that you say are real we actually go out and look at all the sales that happen on stock X with other marketplaces online assignment shops and other people that we have relationship with all the data all the sneaker sales we can possibly get and pull it in to figure out what shoes are actually selling for and then we can get value to your portfolio I'm kind of nervous I literally have no idea if this is going to be hundred grand or a million dollars so whatever we'll see you earlier we watch people from stock ex begin the process of cataloguing my sneaker collection and when they were all done met up with Josh louver to get the results [Music] some men welcome into the ski Locker so dude Josh from psychic sent me to take some inventory and I hope you have hours maybe days I've been collecting mine since I was like a kid and I used to take my money hustling and reselling shoes I paid for my shoes because I got by three of them and sell two of them to afford the first one that's what you see when you look through my collection they're 16 years old and not ones that I bought in a resale market ones that I bought with the original tags from Minneapolis where I grew up and it's crazy it's really what gave me a lot of my entrepreneurial background alright so down here all these cabinets are kind of the vaults this is all the special stuff I also have bedroom over here walk-in closet my master one and then a couple special pairs in my office so ready to do this follow me there's people that have even more than me that I feel like a peon to it like there's crazy collectors out there so but yeah you're you're that one percent yeah I'll take the one percent that's not for my big moment I am like I'm scared David I'm nervous too look let's see all right what it is what what is Michael and we have your portfolio loaded listen I don't even know I'll tell you what I'm not even gonna say it out loud alright stock X let me do this for you we might not have as many shoes what you don't need it I might go sell all these happen to buy some cars or some Josh thank you so much congratulations my favorite new sneaker website stock X shadow people here at trip they let us come in their space and shoot this and if you want to see more of this we got my collection to our video on YouTube Ski TV see you there [Music]

Has he ever said why he has like 10 pairs of Concords? I can understand rocking a pair and stocking like 2 but 10?! Or is he trying to sell but no one is biting on his price?
