DIY Floating Deck | How to build a detached deck | Backyard Ground Level Deck

[Music] in this video we are building a floating deck and all that means is the deck that's detached from the house we're really excited about this video because we wanted to do something a little more fun than just DG or boring ground cover so this deck is a little bit raised and we're actually gonna eventually build a barbecue island on top of it with a really nice bar top so we hope you stay tuned for those videos and we hope you enjoy what we have for you today [Music] [Music] okay so we finished installing our 14 deck blocks that's gonna be the most time-consuming part so really make sure everything is level tomorrow we're gonna come back out and we're gonna fish install in the deck [Music] [Music] [Music] so usually after you build your deck you'll fill in the bottom with base gravel but we have all this concrete rubble leftover so we're gonna just use that to fill it in and save a whole bunch of money so we didn't get as far as we wanted to today but we did get all the framing done so tomorrow all that's left is the top planks and staining it and that's it [Music] alright Mona truth we're gonna see if it's level yeah [Music] so that's it for our deck bill we're happy we finally got this one done we've been planning this for a while and it's the first of a few stages that we're going to do back here yeah our next project is a little divider fence and some planter boxes right up here next to the deck and then after that we're gonna build a really awesome custom barbecue island and grilling area thanks for watching our video and we hope you see you guys in the next one see ya [Music]
