DIY Breakfast Nook on a budget

[Music] hey guys welcome back to my channel today i'm gonna be creating this breakfast nook and it's gonna be more so like vlog style um i'm not gonna like show myself totally building everything but i will insert clips and i'll let you know what you need if you're interested in creating this but yeah let's see what i'm doing you will need these lac tables from ikea and i got four for this project i bought extra one for something else but for this project specifically i got four and then i got two sheets of wood from lowe's you have to get them measured perfectly for the table and then i got these thick pieces of foam you can find them at lowe's or a fabric store and also got this i think it's called batting oh wait let me see something real quick oh okay yeah so this is called batting i got two of those for my fabric so i'm gonna do is actually make the padding for it so i laid my wood on top of the foam and i'm gonna take my box cutter and cut all of the excess foam off of it [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] my look after you cut all of the excess foam off it should be perfectly in line with the board okay so you're also going to need a staple gun and this is the one i got with these staples it was like this i got it from lowe's it was about thirteen dollars i want to say but yep this is batting i hope i'm pronouncing it right but yeah i also got it from the fabric store and just make sure it's a little bit longer than your wood in your phone so your mind just like i live it long i might have to like stretch it a little bit but it'll be good it should be late before you staple it you see how it's just like about two inches of the batting peeping out yup that's how you should lay it and i'm kind of about to just like wrap it and staple it like you wrap a christmas [Music] present [Music] me [Music] [Music] okay so the first pad is done as far as like the padding that's at the fabric and this is how it should look all right so both the pads are done pad number one pad number two still flipped over and i'm gonna go ahead and the fabric literally adding the fabric exactly how i added this folding it over over and down like a gift and i'll show you guys that when i'm done okay so this is the first bit show what's that [Music] this is the first bench yeah i'm happy with it i love it so much okay second won't get done until tomorrow or the next day because i need more fabric okay so building the table for it now and again it's called black from ikea and this stuff is so easy to build always [Music] um it's like a double ended screw and then this is how the leg looks and you just screw them into the leg and into the table at the same time okay so we built all of the tables and we cleared out that corner so we can put it in the corner and yes getting this is the first corner and honestly the only corner we're going to be able to do today because i have to go and get fabric for the other seat that's how it's looking so far all right so the corner is there and we're gonna lay the padding so yesterday i had to stop because i ran out of fabric for the second seat and i went and got the fabric and we're about to start now for the rest of the night okay so this is where i stopped last night went in got some more fabric so that i can cover this one and also got some other fabric so that i can make the pillowcases for the pillows i got six pillows and this is where we are right now so i finished the second bench and i love it so much um now i am challenging myself to make six pillowcases for the pillows and these are the colors and the fabrics we chose this yellow like a i don't know what i consider this velvet i guess this is velvet yeah it's a very thin velvet though but it's super pretty and golden at the site of light so we got that one we got this pink which is inside out right now dang did we get off [Music] but yeah we got this pink very bold and bright also velvet and then we got this textured orange it's so cute like it's the perfect orange to pair with orange because it has a texture it has its own character and it has like these stitching like the small lighter colored orange stitches or the exact color of that so it's gonna be cute okay so i have completed all of the pillowcases i did six two pink two yellow two orange and now we're just putting it on here's this one we already have this one in and it's so cute so cute all right the pillows are done the nook is done the storage bins are underneath we're just waiting for a table but that's just going to be the end of the video for now if i get a table before i'm done editing this video i will post a picture here but yeah i made the pillows got them all in and i am in love like i'm so i'm gagging literally gagging sit by the window have our coffee have our tea do our work yes
