DIY Aluminum Sim Racing Rig Build

hey guys today we're going to be building a new aluminium profile sim rig it's all been designed on Sketchup and if my video editing skills are correct I'll put a little picture of what I designed up in here as you can see we've got all the bits I've had them all cut it's all perfectly square and it for those who don't know anything about aluminium profile it is essentially extruded aluminium into that shape with grooves down the outside and then there is the mounting bracket and the hardware which is on a little T bolts so what happens is that little T Bolt slots into the slot like that you bought whatever you want to it and tighten it down and it provides a really really really sturdy mounting so what I've got is I've got loads of that is 80/40 10 series that's 40 40 10 series the 10 series basically just means that it is a 10 mil gap between the slots the 40 40 in the 48 is 40 mil by 40 mil or 80 ml by 40 mil as you can see there loads of mounting brackets brackets galore 40 40 brackets 40 80 brackets 88 2 brackets thousands and feels like thousands and thousands of to nuts and caps feet everything that we need to build the rig the seat is our MP TRS so yeah so let's start putting it together [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right or built it took about three hours or went together really well there is zero flex in any of the rig so you can push the brake pedal as hard as you want and it just does not move a single centimeter it's fantastic exactly what I wanted from from the rig and I think it looks absolutely fantastic as well so really really happy with it yeah so that's gonna be the end of this video and if you like what you see please like and subscribe plenty of racing going on on Mondays and Thursdays in iRacing and sometimes Friday and Sunday nights in assetto corsa as well so yeah thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one you
