hello everyone my name is dr gupta so let's come to the almost the end of this chapter that is the body fluids and circulation and we'll talk about the diseases which affect the cardiovascular system or the circulatory system the first disease that i'm going to talk about is the hypertension so we all know that our normal blood pressure is 120 on 80 this is expressed in which this is the millimeters of mercury remember this measurement they can even give you example of 120 by 80 centimeter of water that won't be true that's an example so remember it is 120 or 80 millimeter of mercury where 120 is the systolic pressure contract pressure and 80 is a dilutive disorder pressure when that is when the heart is in a relaxed state the body may pressure again blood pressure repeated measurements of blood pressure are more than 140 and 90 then it's called as hypertension and this hypertension can affect brain heart and kidney these are the three organs that can get affected by hypertension which you should remember how do you get affected by hypertension you might ask so basically kyogre hypertension okay body blood pressures are the orga the heart will have to pump against a higher pressure now if the heart has to pump against the higher pressure heart will tend to feel you know hypertrophy changes second other heart has to pump against a higher pressure so the blood flow to the brain and the kidney will get affected because probably after a point of time i won't be able to prompt with that much pressure and that's why these hypertension tends to affect everyone or the organ of the body more importantly heart brain and kidney the third the next thing is the atherosclerosis atherosclerosis is basically nothing but hamareso coronary arteries coronary artery diseases they were the arteries which supply the blood vessels blood to the heart muscle itself they get narrowed and they get narrowed by formation of this thing made up of cholesterol calcium fat and fibrous tissue so blood flow to that's why it's called angina uh finally we'll come to the most extreme part of a gyro pectoralis that is heart attack but we have to differentiate heart attack from two common conditions which are similar norm like a common public might think they're similar but they're not one is the cardiac arrest cardiac arrest okay suddenly okay so heart attack will happen so a part of the muscle muscle won't get blood obviously this will be a medical emergency and sooner or later you have to intervene otherwise that person can die but cardiac arrest can be multiple electrolyte abnormalities electrical for so it will cause congestion in the lung and this congestion is called as the reason it's called as congestive heart failure now let's see ncr mecha carry over here so high blood pressure is the term used for blood pressure that is higher than normal the normal kidney 120 upon 80 140 or 90 says heart diseases and brain and kidney okay then we come to atherosclerosis that is a coronary artery disease what happens is it affects the vessels that supply blood to the heart coronary arteries are that only and what is caused by deposits calcium fat cholesterol and fibrous tissue that deposits in the coronary artery disease are made up of calcium fat cholesterol and fibrous issue they can easily ask you which other following does not make up uh the deposits calcium fat fibrous tissue sodium potassium cholesterol carbohydrates okay so that's how they can frame questions which makes the arteries narrower i will argue narrower it is also called as pectoralis is basically evaluated symptoms of acute chest pain which appear when there is not enough blood reaching the heart muscle coronary artery it can occur in any age like away it can occur in women of men and women of any age so to remember this they can ask you it can occur in women and uh men of only elderly it can occur in any age but they can easily frame a true and false question from this it can occur in men and age women of only middle age and elderly naive it cannot occur in any age it is occurs due to conditions that affect the blood flow concentra coronary artery degrees of parasite last they come to heart failure heart failure means the state of heart is not when heart is not pumping to meet the demands of the body to meet the needs of the body it is called congestive heart failure because congestion of lungs is main symptoms and that's why it's called congestive heart failure and congestion of lungs is one of the main symptoms and heart failure needs to be differentiated from heart attack when heart muscle is suddenly damaged by inadequate blood supply suddenly versus cardiac arrest when heart will suddenly stop beating so this has been asked multiple times in your examination remember these terms remember the difference between heart attack heart failure and cardiac arrest okay i know i haven't covered two things i haven't covered lymph and i haven't covered the autonomic regulation of heart i want you to read this on your own there are very small small topics but we have covered the circulatory system mota mutasa and now we'll move on to the next chapter which i will ask in a poll uh you let me know which chapter should i consider going for next in the human physiology series thank you and have a nice day
