a while back I booked a cruise on the inaugural sailings for the Disney wish it later got canceled and I received a 50 off voucher for any Disney Cruise I was then shocked to learn that it also extends to pretty much any cabin you book including concierge now Disney has a finite amount of those cabinets on board each ship and they're the most expensive and highest quality rooms on their Fleet I've made it pretty clear that the Disney Fantasy is one of my favorite cruise liners sailing today and ever since I first sported in 2012 I've been dreaming of getting one of those elusive cabinets so with a unique opportunity to get 50 off I booked a one bedroom suite what's up guys my name is Jake and welcome to my review of concierge aboard the Disney Fantasy [Music] foreign now I'll get into pricing at the end of this video but my cabin for the sailing is in the middle tier the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy offer three cabin types starting with the concierge family Ocean View cabin with Miranda which is essentially just a slightly larger normal balcony cabin with elevated Decor there's of course the one bedroom suites and then there's the Walt and Roy Disney Suites which surpassed 1700 square feets and are the most ostentatious way to travel aboard a Disney cruise now the original ships the magic and wonder are formatted very differently and honestly deserve their own video if I can ever afford it and that's all while the Disney wish and presumably her future sisters have a variety of other Suites which I've talked about quite extensively on my review on the wish the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy have two decks of concierge rooms a small section across from the spa on Deck 11 and basically the entire forward half of deck 12. the cabins on Deck 11 are at a bit of a disadvantage since they're a level below the lounge but also so very close in proximity to the spa which for some at least might make up for their balconies are also recessed into the glass theming elements on the ship which means they're all partially enclosed the cabins that are perched particularly on the overhang of the ship have huge deck space and provide great views of the bow and the superstructure the cabins on Deck 12 are mostly regular balconies with the exception of the large Suites which have massive decks and hot tubs now I'll start with the room itself I've made a full Tour on it already but the gist is that the room is pretty incredible at around 600 square feet it balances perfectly on being cozy and warm while also providing lots of room to relax everything about it felt extremely luxurious with solid marble in the bathrooms real wood and lots of depth in its design accents I know some have called it a bit dated but everything from the carpet to the Rich Wood tones is exactly what I would expect for something at this price point honestly I would consider it to be one of the best designs for a one bedroom crew worship Suite out there the bathtub is huge for a cruise ship and has LED lighting and jacuzzi settings with the shower having a rainfall nozzle on the ceiling that actually feels like rain it's super luxurious and it's only something that I've found at Ultra Premium hotels like the Saint Regis all in all the room was superb and with all of our friends joining us on this trip it made the perfect Meetup area where we can all hang out in the living room and on the balcony being in concierge you also have access to the Concierge Lounge on Sunday the lounge is appropriately sized with nice concept art and a model of the fantasy which hey hey that looks familiar there's also a concierge Sun deck which I'll get into in a minute and a buffet area along with a drink station breakfast is served here in the mornings and high quality snacks are switched in and out throughout the remainder of the day with of course desserts in the evening the food range from just okay to actually really great like this mini lobster roll the drink station has high quality beverages like teas and soft drinks plus a full-service coffee machine for the entirety of the first day and then 5 PM to 10 pm each night happy hour begins at the lounge which means it's an open bar for complementary alcoholic drinks now to my surprise they're actually pretty generous with their pores and what you can do with them you can walk up ask for basically whatever you like from beers wines and select Spirits they have all the large Brands like Bombay and Gray Goose along with some select Tequilas and Bourbons among others you can enjoy them in the lounge bring them to dinner or even back to your room it's genuinely unlimited so we drank an ungodly amount of alcohol on this Cruise All In A desperate attempt to get our money's worth which of course if we actually added it up we would I don't think Disney actually expects this from their guests I just assume they think that there's going to be a mom and dad coming to get a glass of wine before dinner but this system was in place and we weren't technically breaking any rules there really isn't anything stopping you from just taking glasses of wine and handing it out to people in the hallway although they probably would say something to you at that point a convenient staircase to the right of the bar will bring you up to the Sun deck and while this space much like the lounge also does not have ocean views it is a nice and quiet area to come relax with comfortable seating it never gets busy here and it's properly shaded with a Mist sprayer and a private hot tub there's also complementary soft Beverages and coolers throughout the day along with sunscreen what Disney really Prides itself with concierge though is their extra level of service and it really does live up to their promise from the very moment you enter the terminal you are made to feel very special and well taken care of when boarding before anyone else you're invited to a private concierge lunch where members of the team will greet you and ask if they can take care of any itinerary changes board Adventure requests and dining reservations it's all extraordinarily convenient and later on you'll meet the three lead concierge members who run the show their level of care and attention is extremely palpable and does not go unnoticed for instance Cabanas on Disney's Private Island are notoriously difficult to book and usually are gone a well before the sailing dates but while I was on board I asked our concierge if there was any chance we could snag one and to our Elation and shock we did that level of service makes a trip like this so much more special and that includes everyone right down to the housekeeping staff who learned our preferences over the course of the voyage and went above and beyond to make small details special while there were some staff in concierge who weren't all that great the majority were fantastic other concierge perks include early Theater seating special character meet and greets complimentary popcorn special viewing for fireworks and early booking for ship events like wine tasting you also get early boarding and if you have sweets with a dining table you can have food sent up from the main dining rooms if you want to eat in your room you also get complimentary Wi-Fi for the duration of your voyage and if you have the big boy Suites you can also have Paulo the ship specialty restaurants served in your cabin of course this all comes at a hefty price for our cabin on an off-season seven night Eastern in Caribbean sailing I paid 5949 USD which includes port fees and taxes now remember that's with fifty percent off so the normal price of this cabin is expected to be around 10 to 13 000 for equivalent saline that's also for the off season prices and for two people in the cheapest concierge cabin it'll cost somewhere around eight thousand five hundred dollars the Walt Disney and Roy Disney Suites however can be priced at the low end for around twenty eight thousand dollars for a seven night Voyage this is all based on double occupancy and of course the more people you add the more expensive it'll be like I said these are all off season prices so unless you book extremely early or catch a rare Chief saline you can just use your imagination on how expensive these cabins can get like this one over March break 2023 where the Walt Disney Suite gets close to forty thousand dollars for two people on a seven night void for the same price you can do a a 46-day Expedition cruise on the Ultra Luxury Viking octantis from Toronto to Antarctica obviously there's a difference in the type of experience you're gonna get but I mean come on the value proposition for the Disney Suites are just not there so at that price my answers obviously no concierge on a Disney cruise is just not worth it plus if you're traveling with children which you probably would be that price is only going to climb in my opinion the entire fleet of Disney Cruise Line apart from the wish was built for all passengers regardless of their cabin the vanilla experience already does a great job at making passengers feel special and cared for concierge is an elevated version of that but I don't think it's worth double sometimes quadruple the price of a regular cabin I really appreciate the Ultra Luxury touches here and there along with the impeccable surface but even if I bought outright all the things that came complementary I'd still be nowhere near the price of our cabin I could buy 5 515 cocktails and still have money left over if I was in a regular cabin so apart from maybe very special occasions I'm not sure it's worth the premium especially when you can put that money to other uses like unique itineraries different cruise lines like Viking or even additional cruises in the same year even compared to other Cruise Line premium experiences the value is pretty iffy with that being said though it's much better than Disney's concierge equivalent at their hotels and I have a review on that coming on this channel very soon so please do subscribe to the channel and hit the Bell icon so you can be notified when I do upload here let me know what your thoughts are on Disney Cruise Lines concierge and if you think it's worth the money my name is Jake and thank you very much for watching
