we have some of the best hidden gems on every Disney cruise ship but you need to know when and where to look from the best spots to enjoy some peace and quiet to a hidden Speakeasy and the best views for those fireworks we've got the scoop for your most magical trip yet and one thing everybody loves to get on their cruise is that perfect photo now of course you're going to want the standard photo ops make sure you get a photo in front of that iconic red funnel and while you're there just turn around and get a beautiful shot of the ocean while you're at it the atrium is also a really popular spot for photo ops you can get the quintessential character statue or their beautiful grand staircase these are sure to impress your friends and of course you also want to catch your favorite character in their theme costumes those are so cute but the Hidden Gem is the character dance party no matter what age you are a dance party is always fun and a character dance party is even better now they will have scheduled character meet and greets in designated locations this will be on your navigator app so you can find out when and where they're going to be but what you want to keep an eye out for are the surprise character experiences these will happen throughout the ship sometimes you'll just see your favorite Disney character pop up in unexpected places for impromptu photo ops that is one of our favorites these occur randomly in the atrium and the youth clubs this is a photo op that you have to be in the right place at the right time I highly suggest checking that out but while you are there make sure to enjoy the dance as well of course you want to record some of it because it's great to look back at those memories but it's even more special when you really get to enjoy it in the moment so make sure you have some fun with those characters on board and for a few extra points keep your eyes out for this very rare occurrence of a sleepwalking goofy one of my favorite hidden gems just to get some peace and quiet is up on the dream and fantasy on Deck 13. they have satellite Falls and the bar there they have these little tables over here and there are very rarely anyone sitting at these tables just another place for a beautiful view and a little bit more peace and quiet if you are enjoying any of these videos please share it with a friend or your cruise group I really appreciate it that's really what helps us grow and meet some of our goals so we really appreciate you sharing it and of course we can't talk about hidden gems without talking about the best place to view the fireworks if you happen to be traveling on a Disney cruise that has the pirate Night Celebration they will have a pirate night deck party this swashbuckling evening includes a pirate themed Deck Party complete with fireworks at Sea if you like to dress up make sure you pack your pirate costumes you don't have to do that pirate costumes and dress are not required to totally enjoy the evening but if you're one of those people that likes to dress up I highly recommend it the pirate night deck party is a lot of fun especially on the Disney wish and actually the Disney wish is the Hidden Gem for the pirate night deck party because they have a fun 80s hair band it's just a lot more of a party environment and it's fun for the adults as well as the kids but the best view for those fireworks so we'll start right there the Disney wish and their new ship the Disney treasure you'll want to be standing to the left of the stage the big thing here is to see how clear the you is over the other side of the ship if you can see all sky that is going to be your best spot for fireworks on the Disney wish for the fireworks on the Disney Magic and wonder you'll want to be on deck 10 just above the pool deck or gathered right around the pool deck itself but that does get really busy to be honest they're all going to get pretty full the big thing is to make sure you have a spot that overlooks the pool and on the dream and fantasy deck 12 is going to be the best location for viewing the fireworks again make sure you can see the sky from your location one other fun place that you can see them on the dream and the fantasy is deck 13 between satellite Falls and the bar now one of the biggest things that's going to happen on a Disney cruise or on any cruise for that matter is dining and of course I can't have just one so we've got some gems that are included and some that'll cost a little more and the term little is being used Loosely because some of these are upscale experiences and as a matter of fact one of those things that is an additional charge is the petites is no I said that wrong but I would definitely check into it we have not done this one yet but it's on my list the first evening of the cruise on the dream and fantasy will have this small plates dining opportunity if you are going to eat at Remy it is typically 125 dollars plus for their dinner but you can get this small plates experience only on the first night of the cruise they also will have a brunch and a dessert experience for Remy by far the Hidden Gem is the small plates tasting this is mentioned on their website but they're not really going to tell you about it on the cruise ship I didn't even know this existed until I started doing research for these videos actually and this is their way of introducing the fine dining at Remy without having to go the full three hour extremely expensive meal during the small place tasting you will travel throughout the restaurant you'll get to sample six courses of small plates and each one of these will be paired with the wine this is going to be hosted by the executive chef who will serve as the guide for this culinary Journey the sommele will be there as well to present the selected wines that pairs perfectly with each dish just a really fun way to get to try those dishes and to be able to have the wine tasting with them as well if you get the main dinner it's like 125 150 plus the wine tasting is almost that much as well so I think this small plate is a fabulous way to try it out and to be honest I think it's probably more worth it than the full dinner we enjoyed the dinner it was really good they have a wagyu comparison that can be added definitely more than a pretty penny but it is so good if you're wanting wagyu for a little bit better price point they also have it at Paulo Steakhouse but this is a great opportunity to try Remy without such a huge price tag there is one other gem on Disney Cruise Line that is an additional charge that we highly suggest and that is Paulo brunch you will need to make that reservation ahead of time and you've probably seen that it's mentioned somewhere but Paulo brunch I think is a bit underrated it is so good I think it is worth the expense much more than Paulo dinner Hollow dinner's fine I think the brunch is really great though especially when it used to be a buffet it's not like that anymore but if you experience the buffet they will have plates that come out to the table that are kind of similar like they'll have a bread plate with six different types of pastries or breads they'll have a seafood plate with multiple selections on it and then of course they also have their hot menu where people really love their chicken parm their flatbreads and I always go for the eggs benedict brunch is typically only available on sea days also with Paulo brunch you are going to have stunning views to start your day it really is a full experience now for those hidden gems that don't have additional charges the first is going to be in the Cove Cafe this is on the first four ships magic Wonder dream and fantasy they will have this case that will have pastries in the morning in the afternoon it's more of cheese and olives and they have a lot of Honeys in the back actually to pair with debris really good one that you will probably hear about is room service room service is included with the cost of the cruise and the continental breakfast is actually our favorite on there you can get some fruit juice and a pot of coffee he'll come in the morning wake you up it is a wonderful way to start your day especially if you have a veranda Mickey bars are also a huge favorite they are not on the menus but you can get them both in the dining rooms and from room service and our favorite the Hidden Gem of food on Disney Cruise Line is their Indian food you are not going to see much Indian food mentioned on the ships they do have a chicken tikka masala they're going to have that I believe in the Marceline Market on the wish and probably the treasure sometimes you can get a curry from the menu at lunch we got this one at Triton's on the Disney Wonder but our best Indian food experience was in Maine dining this is not going to be on the menus and it is definitely not guaranteed if you are interested in trying the Indian food on the ship let your servers know and then in the next couple of days you might be able to have that as an addition to your meal or as a replacement you do have to let them know a day ahead of time and of course they've got to have enough they always have Indian food on the ship so if there is enough they will definitely bring you some but you've got to request that ahead of time and definitely don't expect it but they break some really good Indian food we've got some more hidden gems for families but first I want to check into the adults a little bit now our favorite experiences on a Disney cruise ship are those that are secret hidden and random and if they're tucked away into a little corner somewhere that's even better the Disney wish has the perfect thing and I think this is likely to be on the Disney treasure as well since they are so similar but the Disney wish has a barber shop called hooks barbery this is a spa and salon it's open to all ages basically it's just an old-fashioned barber shop it's inspired by Captain Hook's personal quarters aboard the famed Jolly Roger and in this upscale Barbary provides grooming services fit for a captain in addition to that they will also have hot shaves and beard trimmings manicures pedicures and facials during the day I really love the theming in this Barbary they've got those heavy leather chairs with dark wood tones it gives me really an old library type feel but the really fun part of books Barbary comes later in the evening on select evenings the spot turns into an old-fashioned Speakeasy and that funds intended because it specializes in Old Fashions they have made to order selections with multiple syrups from sweet to spicy to Smoky so if you're looking for a really cool quiet space and a good cocktail be sure to check out the Speakeasy and hooks Barberry deck 4 is one of our favorite hidden gems on the first four ships on the magic Wonder dream and fantasy deck 4 goes in a full loop so you can walk the track run the track it's just nice to be able to have a full track to walk around after dinner on the Disney wish and treasure this deck is broken up by stairs so I would just suggest doing a U-turn what makes deck 4 so amazing is one that walking Track it's nice to have it also has lounge chairs which is really nice because they very rarely have anybody sitting on them so if you don't have a veranda this can be a perfect place to get a little bit of peace and quiet along with an ocean view you're also also going to be able to capture some amazing photos from deck 4. you can see these lifeboats from here fun fact Disney Cruise Line does have specific colors for their lifeboats they wanted it to go along with the Mickey Mouse theming so they had to get special permission from the Coast Guard to have this color of Lifeboat now deck 4 is a Hidden Gem within itself but on the Wonder and I believe the magic there is one other Hidden Gem on Deck 4 on the Wonder you can see this Anchor Room it's at the very end of the deck right when you're gonna start making that U-turn it's kind of cool to be able to see these parts there's not many places that you can see Backstage on a Disney cruise line anymore but this anchor is definitely one of them the adult District on the first four ships is an amazing place to get actual peace and quiet on the Disney wish they have this much more broken up and the adult areas are a bit smaller so they're not going to be as peaceful on the first four ships though they have an adult District these are areas that will have their bars lounges and their nightclub all in one location so once you dip into that area it really gets quiet the further back you go especially during the day as a matter of fact you can go into the nightclub during the day and it'll be completely quiet most of the time they just aren't really doing much in these venues during the day except for some alcohol tasting and that's typically going to be in one of their lounges I think that might be why they broke this up on the wish and the treasure because this really is a dead space for a lot of the day this nightclub area in particular and unfortunately if you are on a three or four night cruise it's also likely to be empty at night but regardless it's a great spot to step away for some peace and quiet during the day and our Hidden Gem of the nighttime activities is match your made it's such a fun show it's basically a game show where they take three couples they ask the men how will the women answer this question about you the women come back and give their answers and it can get pretty funny and a little risque it's definitely for adults only and I highly recommend it and moving on in those districts there is always going to be a pub the treasure and the wish will have pubs as well specifically this Pub the crown and fin on the Disney Wonder walk into the pub go over to the right at the far end that is the booth that we recommend you get to see what's going on in the pub if you like you get to see the ocean it's just a really nice spot to be in the action but on the side of it as well they also have backgammon tables in the pub I think that's a lot of fun I love backgammon and they have a lot of fun Easter eggs now they're going to have these Easter eggs all over the ships on every ship they'll vary because of course there's a ton of content with Disney but bed knobs and Broomsticks has always been one of my favorite movies is actually on Disney plus I absolutely love that in the crown and fin Pub they have this suitcase that is a nod to Bedknobs and broomstick I just love how they include things like that in the ships one place they will tell you that will be quiet is the quiet coat the quiet Cove is their adults only area on the first 4 or Disney cruise ships to be honest it's not that quiet unless you go at the certain times that is when the quiet Cove is our Hidden Gem and that is specifically during early morning especially on Port days and during the evening shows and dinners people are so consumed with dinner or the show or whatever else they're doing instead of that we very rarely see anybody in the quiet Cove areas during those hours it is really nice to get the hot tub to yourself one time it was rocking and rolling a little bit The Family Pool was closed but the adult pool didn't have lifeguards so there were a couple of guys there essentially body surfing into the pool from the waves it was actually quite fun to watch especially since nobody got hurt that would have made it not fun at all they were just having fun the Disney wish and Disney treasure do have quiet areas or adult designated areas but again they don't have this area that is specifically adult with the coffee shop the pool the hot tubs all in one spot they break that up more in the wish and treasure and I believe it's going to make it a little harder to find those Quiet Moments although I would still check those times a very early morning and during dinner especially the early dining another adult area that we really love is Serenity Bay this is the adult only Beach on Disney Cruise Line's Private Island Castaway Key they do have a second Private Island coming next year I am super excited about that so stay tuned but Serenity Bay uncastaway key if you are on the Wonder or the magic that is when this area is really a Hidden Gem the Wonder in Magic can accommodate approximately 2500 guests while the dream and fantasy have approximately 4 000 guests so obviously with 1500 less people on the island you're going to have a lot more peace and quiet that way last time we took the Wonder to Castaway key there were approximately six people at Serenity Bay yes a total of six people and we were two of them and one other Hidden Gem is that bar right there at Serenity Bay in the afternoons sometimes you can get two for one cocktails I have also heard that there's a secret walking path to Serenity Bay I have not actually looked for that yet let us know in the comments below if you've taken that path and if it's worth the walk they have trams that take you to the family beach or onto the adult Beach so if they do have that secret walking path I feel like it would be a very long walk you know it's hard to decide which of these is my favorite but one of the Hidden gems for us on the cruise ship is the Funnel Vision now of course you're gonna see this it's there it's big it's right in your face the thing is is it's there's so much you get used to looking past it but later in the evening specifically about 10 30 to midnight The Funnel Vision is one of our favorite hidden gems on the ship there's not gonna be a lot of people out there I usually see five to ten people Max watching Funnel Vision especially that late at night it's up by the soda fountains on the deck so you can get some hot coffee or hot chocolate to enjoy with the movie if you like it's just a really wonderful way to end the day the Stars the Sea Air the outdoor movie theater feel it's one of our favorite experiences on Disney Cruise Line I highly recommend trying that while you were on the ship now here's a gem that not everyone knows about the midship detective agency this is an interactive game it takes place on the dream and the fantasy it's really fun for families I like it for adults as well basically you get to be a detective and solve Mysteries now this desk will close at night so make sure you get there during their open hours to get the adventure started basically and get your supplies they give you some special cards they'll give you a map there's hidden clues in there and then you can do your detective work with the artwork at any time it's really a great way to explore the ship while having tons of fun and even it's a little bit educational just because you're trying to figure out who did it there's a lot of artwork on the ship it can be easy to look past that so it's just really fun to take this deep dive into the art that way also these will look like ordinary paintings but when you hold up your card and you step on that right spot the artwork comes to life and you'll get to see some Disney Magic it is so fun I definitely recommend it one of our very favorite hidden gems on the cruise ships is in the rainforest room specifically on the dream and fantasy every ship has a census Spa within the spa is a rainforest room now this one is an additional charge you can get a day pass or a length of cruise pass make sure you check into that the first day because those do sell out they have a rainforest room on every ship all of them will have some combination of heated loungers saunas and aromatherapy showers and some will have a hot tub as well and that is why our Hidden Gem is the rainforest room on the dream and fantasy with those heated loungers they will also have two hot tubs we got really lucky never saw anybody in any of these loungers or hot dogs hubs probably because we usually would go early in the morning or while almost everybody is at dining or the show these hot tubs Overlook the ocean and you can see the bridge as well which is just a lot of fun it feels like you're getting to see something that you shouldn't because you can't get to the bridge they don't have any types of tours of that anymore actually they do have and this is another Hidden Gem I guess they do have a channel on the stateroom TV where you can see some parts that are behind the scenes I believe it's of the bridge but anyway the rainforest room on the dream and fantasy that's our favorite way to see it you'll be able to see the captains up there doing their thing and it's really fun to pull out of port while you are sitting in the hot tub that is by far our favorite Hidden Gem on any of the cruise ships one other one that you definitely want to know is about the family game shows they will have a lounge on all of the ships it is the D Lounge on the first four and this is where they will host interactive game shows and activities for kids and adults you'll be able to find these on your Navigator they should have them scheduled most days they will definitely have these on sea days and it's just a lot of fun because it's so interactive it's a totally different way to get to play with the family I think it's just so fun if you haven't seen it yet go check out what they don't tell you about Disney Cruise
