hello this is daphne quay your boss lady realtor here in austin texas and today we are going to talk about the newest and best places to visit at the domain what is the domain you ask the domain is basically a really beautiful outdoor shopping village in north central austin [Music] make sure to watch this video to the end because the last spot that i have to visit at the domain is this awesome please make sure to like this video alrighty so one of my absolute favorite places to visit at the domain is the whole foods at the domain and you're probably asking yourself like why does this chick like to go to the grocery store so much but no my friend whole foods here in austin at the domain is so much more than a grocery store it's about 63 000 square feet so it's massive you walk in and there's like a beautiful display of produce and flowers and all these beautiful foods and then there's pretty much every other standard thing that i think a whole foods would have pre-covered and post-covet they they would have this food bar basically it was like fresh food it was a buffet of food there was a salad bar ethnic food then there was more like americana food and then one of the sections was for like basically texas barbecue i forgot what that was called it was like briskets for basically texas barbecue and briskets i think that's what that's called i'm vegetarian i shouldn't be talking anyway there's all this variety of food that you can get and they have these disposable plates that you can fill up i want to say it's something like 12 a pound and honestly a pound of food is actually a lot so i remember i would be able to fill up my plate it was usually like eight to ten bucks for a really big lunch and then be on my way also well actually at that time right before covid you could sit there and eat it you could hang out there um i would often work there the wi-fi is really good so i would open my laptop eat my lunch sometimes i would get some dessert or snacks or whatever so along with like the food bar whole foods also has several mini restaurants along the perimeter of the store so they have sushi they have a taco stand they have a pizza place they have a place that does sandwiches they do ramen noodle soup and they have a bakery you can go into whole foods and literally get food from like any part of the planet it's that portion of it is actually really affordable compared to going out for lunch or going out to dinner you don't have to pay a tip and they just make it right in front of you i also just remembered i'm not a big drinker so i completely forgot about this the domain whole foods also has a beer garden and a wine bar right in the middle of the store you can go in get a glass of wine get a beer and the carts actually have cup holders so you can put your wine or beer in there shop around and drink it's amazing it's so people are so happy there like i guess that makes sense why right number two walking at the domain yep i'm a mall walker um no really though walking around the domain is fantastic i personally really love it because it's excellent for people watching you can go in the morning and get a coffee and walk around and get some fresh air and it's safe and it's clean and it's beautiful you can go during the afternoon you can go in the evening and pretty much the same is true the only thing is that if you go like later at night you hear kind of like club music coming from rock rose and there's probably a little it's gonna be a bit busier but it's such a cool comfortable beautiful place to walk around i've gone there many many mornings many many of evenings just to clear my head and get out of the house another wonderful spot is this really adorable little pink donut trailer so you know how i mentioned that i i go for walks with the domain uh usually early morning this donut trailer is called little lucy's donuts it's tiny and it's pink and it's always parked in the same spot and when i'm there anywhere between like 6 45 and 8 in the morning i think they're getting the donut things ready for the day and it smells so good it's such a delicious smell to kind of wake up to i think they do pretty well overall every time i've been there during the day i see people going up getting their donuts walking around going shopping it's super cute and it's a local business so shout out to little lucy's donut trailer another really adorable spot to visit at the domain is called the yard and as you may have guessed they sell milkshakes literally all they do is milkshake and ice cream products their milkshakes are known for being massive over the top they'll do like the milkshake and then they'll put like a scoop of ice cream on top and then they do like whipped cream and then sprinkles and then like more stuff on top and it's like it ends up being like this big it's huge and there's oftentimes a line out the door especially during the summer they have all sorts of flavors of milkshakes for example some of the flavors are oatmeal cream dream gluten-free freak shake peanut butter finger cheesecake on cloud nine always ferrero cookies and worms forget 2020 sundae and they honestly have a ton of other flavors but what they are known for is excess these milkshakes are huge they're they're like a practical like they're like this come on i'll just i'll just show you [Music] and for the okay so i was saying the last wonderful place to visit at the domain it's this beautiful magical garden that i think i think very few people know about it's like this garden slash park so it's it's a large piece of land that is set in the back of the apartments there's a portion where it's a garden it's like dry weather resistant landscaping and it's not just like cactus and succulents there's other things there too they're gorgeous there's walking trails within the garden and then there's a walking trail towards the park as well there's a park for humans uh where humans could go do human things and then there's also a dog park for dogs and they're humans i've gone throughout different times of day and different times of year and there's always tons of people there the dog park is always full of puppies and they're humans monitoring their activities and in in in the human portion there's people working out going for runs having picnics there's also a volleyball court in part of the park and i think that there's like a volleyball league that meets there and practices pretty consistently as well it's super scenic and it's beautiful and it's always nicely manicured it's actually very zen place to walk around people watch and just do some outdoor activities so those are some of my favorite wonderful top five new best places to visit at the domain i really hope that
