Disaster Barnyard Find | Extremely Dirty BMW E39 | First Wash In Years | Car Detailing Restoration

wd detailing, hey what's going on guys welcome  back to another WD detailing video I'm RJ Brent's   behind the camera and today we're working on a E39  2001 BMW 525i it apparently sat underneath a tree   for a significant amount of time and that's  why you have the hood looking like this you   can see all the leaf prints and marks across  the whole Hood if you look into all the seals   unfortunately a lot of the seals are actually  rotted out especially on that side I guess this   one's actually completely missing but you can  see there is a ton of debris a ton of organic   material that we're going to have to spray out  clean out we're going to do a full exterior   wash Decon clay bar process exterior polish  I'm hoping that these leaves didn't actually   etch into the top of the clear but we won't  know until we start polishing but then as   we move into the interior it turns out  that it also had some moisture that was   building up as well and it caused a ton of  mildew to form on the seats on the shifter   on the steering wheel and it's it's in a sad  State of Affairs but have no fear WD is here nonetheless uh it's super cool the E39 chassis  especially the M5 from this year was uh was a   pivotal moment in BMW's Legacy it kind of brought  them into making you know a sporty full-size sedan   granted the E28 M5 kind of started this but this  chassis on the M5 really gave them a bump and a   boost into Luxury Sport and it was a phenomenal  car and it's really cool to have one of these in   the shop the guy this morning dropped it off and  I said Hey sir can you actually leave it a little   bit longer than expected uh we're actually going  to do a little bit more polishing because it's a   car that we'd make a video on and little does  he know we're actually going to do the detail   for free so we're going to surprise him at the  end and uh and catch his reaction so stay tuned   for the end of the video to catch his reaction  and see how he reacts to us telling him that the   detail is going to be completely for free and uh  yeah without further Ado enjoy so hopping right   into the video I'm sure there's a lot of BMW  fans watching vacuuming it  and then giving it a good wash with our power   washer and some Degreaser and you want  to make sure if you're using Degreaser   on an engine bay you don't let it sit  long enough where it can start to dry   because it can damage the Plastics but  I'm going to test you guys right now if   you know what kind of engine is inside this  car leave it in the comments below foreign foreign thank you now if you really look at the paint  we didn't know exactly what these   marks were in it yet but come to find out  a little bit later it's something we were   going to have to polish off and I think it  made for the most satisfying polishing clip   we've ever recorded and that's coming up  real soon so make sure you keep watching thank you all right guys this thing's set under  a tree way too long so we've already washed it   we degreased it we clay barred it we used iron  remover on it um and it still looks like this so   the only thing I can assume at this point is that  the leaves the organic material as it broke down   and started to decompose it either let out some  kind of acid or some kind of alkaline organic I   guess fluid that caused it to actually etch into  the top layer of the clear coat and yeah this is   uh this is really bad this is I mean this is flat  paint there's no there's no texture to it like it   feels completely flat which can only mean that  it's uh it's etched into the clear coat so my   assumption is that we're going to take a wool pad  and try and pick up and collect the top layer of   clear coat and all the dirt and contaminants  that are in there and pulled up and out of the   paint to actually reveal what the paint looks  like underneath and uh yeah hopefully it works thank you foreign foreign and after doing some other stuff on  the exterior like the headlights the   door jambs other stuff like that it was  time to move on to the interior and we   started by pulling the seats out first  and then giving the car a good vacuum so while we start vacuuming this out I want  to ask you guys if you could see a collab   with us and any other detailing Channel who  would it be leave your answers down below foreign so while we had the mats out of the car we figured  might as well hit them with a quick clean first   and for that we used a greaser on the rubber ones  and then carpet extractor soap on the carpeted   ones and we'll use our drill brush once that's  wet and we'll power wash all that away use our   extractor to suck as much water out as possible  and then we'll hang them up to dry while the rest   of the details going on so they're as dry as  they can be when we put them back in the car foreign on rain rainy day on a rainy day on a rainy day found me on a rainy day on a rainy day on a rainy day now oh my God on a rainy day on a rainy day on a rainy day a rainy day on a rainy day on a rainy day on a rainy day foreign foreign foreign foreign now trying to get these carpets extracted  they were full of mold and they were pretty   wet so we did a good job of getting them  completely clean and then sucking out as   much water as possible to make sure that  they would dry as quickly as possible thank you foreign foreign seriously yeah now he's asleep so as you saw right there after getting all the  carpets extracted we put our new extractor head   our knee to sleep uh anyways Jokes Aside we ended  up finishing up the car and then we were able to   surprise the customer and tell him that the entire  detail was free and we have his reaction at the   end of the video so make sure you keep watching do a  little bit more work to it but it's it's a really   nice example from from 2001 193 000 miles no  check engine lights you said you turned it over no   problem right away and it was sitting under a tree  so then the tree there already is uh we started up   occasionally I think I left the window crack one  time it rained oh god oh and it is right really   bad I'm like oh my goodness this car probably  never come back today well never say never uh   it uh you know they use high quality materials  on on these German cars and they do stand up to   the test of time without me rambling too much I  don't want to waste any more of your time because   you were sitting here he came here early he was  early to drop it off he's early to pick it up   um so even said for like the last hour really  patiently so I appreciate the patience and   without further Ado let's go and take a look  I will go ahead and give you the key right oh got it you gotta be kidding me man look at that oh man oh my God man like this is one of the this is  E39 chassis like this this was the car it was   like their breakout car bad don't do this yeah  this whole Hood I sent you I actually sent you   a picture the half and half was Wild on it  there were leaves and organic material that   etched into the clear coat oh man what you guys  doing we uh we were hustling because we we did   about we did all the prep work on that before and  then all the polishing in the interior today so we   probably have I don't know what do you say Brent  like 10 hours into it 11 hours maybe wow so um oh thank you I know you said that originally  you just wanted like the interior detail in   the exterior wax um which is going to be 300  for a job like this uh with that many hours   usually it's like six to seven hundred but  you brought us a sweet car and a in a crappy   condition which is great for our viewers and  without them we wouldn't be able to do this   kind of stuff where we would basically like to do  it for free we don't want to charge it that way you gotta be kidding me viewers don't know so  like when it comes to cars like these they're   so hard to find and so hard to get people  to trust us that uh you know and with you   guys supporting us we're able to you know  make some money from YouTube on the back   end so you know it's really thank you to  our viewers for watching and
