hi my name is jamie with digit cert support and in this short video we'll show you how to install your ssl certificate in exchange 2010 to begin go to start all programs and then Exchange Management Council under Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 once the council loads go to the manage databases link and then server configuration in the exchange certificates window you should see the friendly name of the certificate request that you created earlier and if you select it you should have the option to complete the pending request browse to the certificate file that you received from didja cert in our case it has a dot CER extension if you get an error message saying the import has failed you can actually just go ahead and ignore that warning it is a known issue with the import wizard and that message is frequently displayed even when the import is successful as you will see momentarily back in the exchange certificates window our certificate has gone from self signed true to false meaning that your certificate is now recognized as having been signed by a valid CA and additionally we now have several management options associated with the certificate for now we want to go ahead and assign services to the certificate select your server and then any services that apply once the wizard has completed successfully you can check that the certificate is installed and working properly with the help of our online certificate diagnostic tool at digit sir calm forward-slash help if the certificate is installed properly you will see several certificate files connected by unbroken blue chains and green checkmarks next to each of the diagnostic tests red checks or red chains indicate a problem with the installation if you have questions either about the installation process or about an issue that you encountered with our diagnostic tool please contact our 24-hour support for assistance
