[Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hey good morning church so glad you could join us on this friday morning lovely to have you with us today and as we start this day off by inviting the holy spirit to come and fill us afresh we're aware that everything that has energy in life needs topping up you bringing some breakfast this morning and some coffee your phone needed some charge overnight uh everything we have in our life that expels energy needs energy and life and that life and that energy of that god has given us is his spirit and he wants to fill us today and you might have been filled 20 years ago with the spirit of god but this morning you can be filled a new and there's just a few verses in ephesians 5 that says don't be drunk with wine i know it's early in the morning but don't be drunk with wine because that will ruin your life instead be filled with a spirit we can be failed intoxicated with the spirit of god in our lives and he goes on to say singing psalms there's a manifestation of that filling in our lives seem to sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves and make music to the lord in your hearts and i pray that as we're filled with the spirit that this day our life will be full of the song of the lord that they'll be rejoicing in praise that overflows from our lives to everyone and everything that is around us so for the next three and a half minutes as we put some music on encourage you to say fill me holy spirit plug into the source of your life and your power fill us holy spirit with your presence and your glory i pray let's invite him into our lives [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you for your presence lord which fills us goes with us guides us leads us grants us wisdom this day and may our hearts be full of the song of the lord in all circumstances i pray in jesus name amen in a moment i'm gonna hand over to diana who's gonna leave us in communion but just this prayer the need to put just that song that we're all familiar with spirit break up break our walls down may all those dividing walls in our life come down today and just some other things i noticed some people were sharing um i thought this is lovely from anita just said i made it getting back into this wonderful routine with the family god welcome all those who are picking up this routine again after a bit of a summer break lovely to see people just saying this is lovely to share this time together with the lord and it really really is great to join together in this way and i'm going to introduce diana baster one of our elders a rediscovered church and a well-loved and uh valued person in our community diana lovely to see you this morning thank you mark thank you so much i so value these times as well it's really great to be able to come together every morning and just focus on jesus and holy spirit and just to enjoy these times together before the busyness of the day kicks in is just so wonderful and as we prepare ourselves for communion this morning i'd like us to look at isaiah chapter 12 in our bible study we've been we are making our way gradually through the book of isaiah and there's so much richness in there and so much comfort and so much joy as well as all the judgment but chapter 12 is one of those that's full of comfort and so we're just going to look at the first three verses one at a time and as we prepare for communion so on the first verse it says this in that day you will sing i will praise you o lord you were angry with me but not anymore now you comfort me he is not angry with us anymore because the wrath of god has been taken by jesus on the cross can you imagine you know if one person is angry with me and they start if they were to start spitting on us or start kicking us or stop punching us or shut start shouting at us i don't know about you but but i would be cowering in fear and yet jesus he took all the wrath of god on him all in one go on the cross he took that roth for me he took that roth for you he took that roth for every single person so that we can now say now you comfort me i will sing and the why is reiterated in verse two of this chapter he says see god has come to save me that's the why i will sing i will praise you i will trust in him and not be afraid when we realize he saved us out of that kingdom of darkness and brought us into that place of safety then it's easy to say i will trust you lord i won't be afraid anymore the lord is my strength and my song we are strengthened by the power and the anointing of the holy spirit which he has poured out into our lives we take refuge under the shadow of his wings he meets all our needs he becomes our song because we automatically give thanks and praise when we recognize that we exhort his name because he has given us new life and every reason for living everything that we need to live a fulfilled wonderful life he has given us the victory through his death and through his resurrection and so we come to verse 3 and verse 3 says with joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation it is with joy we drink deeply and you know actually in the original hebrew it doesn't say fountain of salvation it says fountain of essua yeshua being the hebrew name for jesus we will drink water from the wells of jesus and we know that jesus said if anyone is thirsty let him come to me and drink so as we gather this morning to take communion as we are we are saying we are thirsty we are hungry for the things of god we want to place god first thing in our lives and so we remember christ's great sacrifice for us and we give thanks as we drink deeply from the fountain of salvation knowing that he is now living in us and working through us that he is our comfort he is our strength he is our song he is our joy and he is our salvation so let's take communion now together on the night that he was betrayed jesus took the bread and he said this is my body given for you and he gave thanks and he broke it and he said take and eat so we eat now thank you lord and likewise after supper he took the cup and he gave thanks and he said drink this all of you this is my blood poured out for you thank you so let's pray father thank you thank you that you are our comfort thank you that you are our joy thank you that we you are our strength and our song thank you that you have given us the victory through jesus christ and we want to glorify you this day throughout the day amen thank you so much for joining us again today on sunday we have two services 9 30 and 11 30 if you're able to come to church then it would be lovely to see you but also equally if you're able to join us online it's great that we have such a great online community gathering together as well and then next week we will resume our die daily and communion every morning from 7 20 onwards and so for die daily and for
