hello [Music] hello everybody welcome welcome to the stream sorry that took me a minute hi oh gosh there's a cat hair on this hat look i'm trying to pick it off come here there we go hello yeah it's blanky weather let's go um a lot of our blankies need to be washed it doesn't matter why and um sam this morning was like you should use the duvet from the other room and i was like yeah he was like yeah that's what i used like all night i was playing new world and i was like all right good idea so here we are i made muffins for breakfast and it made me think of how often you do the same we don't make them for breakfast but we do make a lot of muffins we actually made cake today because clark found the um the unicorn cake pan and was like please mummy please mother mommy can we please make a cake and i was like sure yeah yeah cake turned out fine it was pretty tasty i was gonna grab some um to have with my coffee but uh i looked at the clock and i was like oh it's like 15 after already i'll grab some on my break good morning hey good morning with clarky worky she's really into a show right now called aydah twist scientist it's very cute um it's just a bunch of kids that are like super into science but they're like um they're like uh they still do things that that feel very like kid-like it's really really cute um so the idea is there's aydah and she's a scientist and then there's uh their best her best friend iggy and iggy is an is an aspiring engineer and then um rosie is the like third part of the the trio and rosie um no no no iggy's an architect and rosie's an engineer and so together they like come up with ideas and they build stuff and it's very cute dr subterfuge thank you so much for the gifted subs welcome everybody be sure to say thank you um and so it's really cute because like is this stuck no i guess not um it's really cute because they'll be trying to figure something out right they'll be in the like hypothesis part of the show and rosie specifically is a character that's like that's very fanciful and i think that it would be really easy to write a show about like little kid scientists and have them all be like really logical about stuff um like that could still be cute and fun but i love that like something will be wrong and rosie will be the one who's like maybe gnomes took it and the other kids won't be like rosie there's no such thing as gnomes right they'll be like well i don't think it was gnomes because of x y and z or well it's gonna be really hard to disprove whether or not it was gnomes right like like they just they just count it all as like part of the scientific process to like throw that out there and then be like no i don't think that was it it could be but i don't think that that's it and it's just really really cute um so that's a netflix show if any of you are looking for a cute kid's show it's it's very sweet so yeah we watched a little bit of ada twist scientists this morning and made a cake and what else did we do it's very windy it's very cold today oh we made purple pancakes for breakfast which is always fun um [Music] i also like out of out of the like easy pancakes that we make i i really like purple pancakes because so they're basically just frozen blueberries that you nuke in the microwave for like a minute and then you add oats and maple syrup and salt and like um an egg plus an egg white uh and a little bit of cinnamon and you blend it up into pancake batter basically so they're purple because of the blueberries but um uh it's nice because a lot of that sort of stuff banana will almost always be part of it and banana is not in this thank god um so yeah if she asks for banana pancakes she'll spend the whole time that she's eating and being like mommy why won't you eat one and then she'll realize it's because you're allergic and i'll be like yep but if it's purple pancakes you you better believe i can make a double batch of that need a bunch of them um to anyone that is looking for another thing to watch by the way i was on dropped frames yesterday and that was very fun i had to miss uh i had to miss bedtime though which i always feel so weird about anytime i miss bedtime i like sit around feeling like such a bad mom which is silly i'm just like i wasn't there for bad time it's because i'm almost always there for bedtime so when i'm not it just feels like i'm i like missed a big part of my day with her you know especially if she she was at school all day right so i literally like just saw her in the morning yesterday and that was it but yeah and then sam and i watched oh my gosh we only have two episodes left of squid game i was like i want to watch the rest but i can't stay awake but the last episode we watched i was like [Laughter] what it sucks a show like that when you're like at war with yourself so squid game is like kind of a skew on like a battle royale show that's all that i'm gonna say uh it's very good um it's very it's very gory and violent and all of that stuff but another another big warning that i'm sure is in the list of warnings i just don't pay attention to them another big warning is there is a huge sequence in one of the episodes that is just strobe lights like the entire time it was bad enough that i had to like just close my eyes and be like it's hurting my eyes just tell me when it's over basically i hated it um but aside from that uh fantastic show anyways that's all i'm gonna say i don't wanna talk about it anymore than that if uh it sounds interesting to you you should check it out i really like i like battle royale ish stuff so i like i like when um genres that i enjoy already when somebody goes i think i could do this a little bit differently so yeah um i recommend it but anyways i haven't watched the end of it yet there's two episodes missing but yeah to like be at war with yourself where you're watching an episode and you're like i know that i will not stay awake for another one i know that i have to go to bed after this but what the was that like i'm so mad i personally thought squid game was about splatoon splatoon is another squid game that's fair i'm glad you liked it yeah oh my god it's so windy it's so loud yeah it's um it's only nine episodes i think each episode is like 45 minutes to an hour but um yeah it's not super long which is why people are able to just kind of blast through it and then be like i watch square game i really wanted to watch it but i fainted at the side of blood and i'm epileptic oh my god no yeah this is not the right show for you is there a lot of promo for it so i it's funny because a bunch of you are saying like god everyone's talking about that show i don't know anyone who's talking about it except for the the one person who originally said like i watched squid game and it was pretty good you should watch it i don't see anybody else ever talking about it i haven't heard about it from anyone else i haven't seen anyone else mention it just the one person so uh on my end no there hasn't been any promo but maybe in the united states there has been because again remember i'm in uk so my partner said everyone's watching it but you're the only the second person to mention it after them there you go yeah it's a netflix show it keeps trending on twitter how weird yeah i haven't seen anything about it anyways i don't want us talking about it anymore because if people are interested in watching it i think it's good to go and kind of blind so it is not it has nothing to do with splatoon i'm very sorry [Music] so there you go there are your two recommends from me if you have netflix if you have kiddos or you want to watch something cute watch ada twist scientist and uh if you want to watch something uh real gory um but interesting then watch a good game suggest a game is out of stock question mark you might notice that everything is out of stock i'm pretty sure i haven't unpaused anything from tuesday did you finish the duggar puzzle after the cat incident i haven't finished it yet now but a bunch of my friends who bought it uh it's arrived at their houses which is very fun dark syndicate dark cinder site welcome to the cat gang thank you very much have you read more murderbot i have i'm only like halfway through it somehow it's because for some reason i keep trying to read it around my kid and so i'll get like two pages in and then she'll be like mommy mommy mommy so i haven't really i haven't read i haven't just like sat and like read a bunch of it you know murderbot is a novella that was recommended to me so like a short novel um it's a series of novels about a robot um and the first one's very good so far i'm just taking a while to get through it and i do wish i i got it digitally i do wish that i had the physical version of the book but oh link high ruler i hope it goes by quick yeah i had never heard about it until someone mentioned it in chat i loved seeing you on dropped frames yesterday thank you yeah it's always fun to go on there it's hard because it happens on my day off like in the evening so um normally wednesdays during the day is just like chill time um unless i've like you know booked a meeting or something and then in the evening is date night so i can't like agree to do dropped frames super often or rather i don't want to because it it cuts into like my my mom time with my kid and also some of my date night time with my husband what's with the thick blanket look at the title it's blanky weather yeah mime is life oops mime is life no that is not an actual pumpkin it's a fabric pumpkin [Music] um i did some experiments with the mod podge and food coloring like painting thing so i showed you guys the big vase that i did with the mod podge and orange food coloring right so i did so that was with like like six drops of food coloring so i i did a couple more things with 10 drops of food coloring and a couple more things with like 19 drops of food coloring um the variation between 12 or like 10 and 19 was not a ton um they were mostly the same but they were both way darker than the vase that i did so uh definitely like the more drops of food coloring you put in the darker it's gonna be but also the easier it is to notice streakage so the um the ones that i did that were like super super orange um after baking you can see where the mod podge had like run basically like where the streak lines were from the mod podge um so uh yeah i would say that like more gives you a much darker like looking final product but it's easier to see mistakes um if you just go for like the kind of light tint instead um again it'll it's just a light tint but you you also can can fudge it a little bit so for anybody who is interested in doing that project i've moved on now now i'm looking into um what's going to be the best way for clarky and i to make bats for the house so that's that's the next thing do i want them to be paper bats do i want them to be felt bats um i also keep seeing diys for uh remember when i was like oh my god i saw this wreath that's like a crescent moon wreath and i want it so bad um i forgot that i had bought like wreath like a wreath base last year for something and i didn't wind up doing it and so i just found a diy on how to turn one of those into a crescent moon wreath so that's another thing that i'm gonna do yeah some will a lot of people like to make a bunch of little paper bats and then you fold them in half so that you know they look more like this instead of like this you fold them in half and then you kind of like tack the crease mark to the wall and so there's like a bunch of bats flying somewhere is the idea um which i think would be very cute but they would have to be somewhere where clark wasn't gonna mess with them all the time i'm said with them but uh i don't know where to put them like that kind of an idea so but is it such a is it such a bad thing if she's messing with them all the time i don't know maybe not there was another idea that i saw where somebody did that same thing except they got um they got a bunch of you know like you know the like decorative dead branch stuff that people get they just got a bunch of that and then made a bunch of tiny bats and had them all like sitting on the branches and it looked very cute i don't know i think a bunch of that stuff would be really fun to do with clark [Music] huh hmm [Music] this is nice [Music] i'm excited i get to see um i get to see kelly next week kelly's uh in ireland right now i think um but i get to see kelly next week and end of october i get to see my brother everybody's coming out here it's very fun i came in to make my own pumpkin spice syrup is there a specific recipe you used or do you have it memorized at this point i have it written down somewhere i can i can put it in uh in the discord [Music] is um yeah i can write it down [Music] i was gonna yesterday i was gonna go get um more blackberries and i didn't do it if i'm not careful by the time i get out there they're just all gonna be gone why does it look like you have a genuine pig in the cat tower a pig i don't know this does that look like a pig i don't was very fun to talk about game like the industry and gaming news and stuff it felt very nostalgic but yeah yeah um drop frames was very fun to do and rami's lovely it was it was great to have to be episodes that he's not going to be there for well he originally asked if i would come for all of them which was very sweet um and i was like i can't make it for all of them because again family time so but i i can definitely come for one so [Music] um the game i don't remember the name of the studio but hold on the game he talked about was called opus echo of star song i know this because i bought it um sigono s-i-g-o-n-o segono inc is the name of the developer they had said uh they said at the end of drop frames around me suggested a game studio that's trying to get into the western just has trouble waking up i'm sure many of you can relate sam always has trouble waking up so um there are some days where i start work and she's like daddy's boring so i'm just gonna keep saying hi yeah she plays a ton of like little toddler like brain games and like there are lots of games about you know brushing your teeth and about what to do in the events of an earthquake and about cooking and like she was helping me make burritos the other night for dinner because it was just like an easy thing and it's also something can help with easily and um [Music] uh the whole time that we were making the burritos she was like are we making dumplings and i was like no no i'm not making dumplings she's like oh but i love dumplings pretty sure she's never had dumplings but i love dumplings can we please make dumplings so i guess we have to i have to learn how to make dumplings now gotta be prepared for those english earthquakes i'm just saying they're like they're games that are about like natural disasters um and like what to do in the event of them and she finds those really fascinating so she likes to do those it's been darker and darker in the mornings she keeps being shocked that her alarm clock is green so she has like again for anybody who hasn't heard me talk about this we have a clock called mella and mella is a clock with a little smiley face on it and it's color-coded so if it's time to be awake it's green um so it's it's meant to help your kid if they're if they tend to wake up a lot to help them like to look at the clock and be like it's not green yet it's not time to wake up right and it it helps a bit for us but um she's been getting confused now because mello will be green but it's dark in her room and she's like she'll come in and be like mommy mello's green why is it so dark like i don't know how to just how to explain to you that like in winter it's just darker yeah so last night before sam started playing new world i was um i like got into bed and he was like oh i'll cuddle you for a little bit i got into bed and he was like are you going to bed in a in a hoodie are you in a hoodie in jeans right now and i was like yeah but like sometimes it's nice to just wake up and already be dressed so that you don't have to fight the urge to just like stay in bed and he was like what the he's like just just get comfortable and i was like but i know that mourning me will be delighted that i didn't have to get out of bed and be freezing he was like jeans though and a hoodie like i think there's a different version of this you could be doing [Music] i can sleep in pretty much anything yeah the school around mom's side of me has 100 gone to bed and closed so i could just skip me yeah right like like i know one of the big barriers for me in the morning is going to be that i'm going to be cold and i don't want to get out of bed and that's going to be the part of my brain that's like just go back to sleep to sleep a little bit more but if clark bursts in at 7am and i'm already dressed you know that's one that's one step down that's when stuff done um a thing that i'm trying to figure out for sam and i is like i think that we need a couple like like i don't want to use the term bucket because bucket i think conjures up a specific vibe but like a basket of some kind next to both sides of the bed that's just the like i wore this but i'm not done with it yet basket right like i intend to wear this again um because we like kind of have that but it's just on the floor and it tends to just kind of spread so i'm like if we had baskets then at least it would all be contained in a spot you know because there's a speci like if i'm going to shut clothes off it's right next to the bed so i would i want the basket just next to the bed you know no not a clothing not something that i have to put any effort into him oh sure honey one sec oh no i might be stuck one sec i was stuck silly mommy that's not my phone of the ball did you say my phone or did you say the ball well that belongs in our room doesn't it [Music] okay sure you can leave it there if you want watch your feet [Music] [Music] [Music] i love you i'm gonna work them now no there we go oh yeah those are kano warnings wow we're still on kano warnings what what else did we play oh ponbarian but we did poker quest before kana didn't we or after kana i mean and poker quest definitely had a math warning yeah this i'm not sure what warnings there are for artful escape it doesn't really say oh but let's try and do the thing that somebody else said before goda does the dog die the artful escape there are bugs there are jump scares there are flashing lights and images well there you go according to does the dog die yeah i also bought opus so let's see um was the other one it said flashing lights and images bugs and oh jump scares apparently cool ah according to the esrb it has alcohol references use of tobacco and language cool suggestive themes is so broad it annoys me yeah i don't i will never know what that means [Music] oop we're dropping frames while i try to install this you should you should have done a prediction you should have done a prediction is this game installed a hell no it ain't you guys are going to be so proud of me do you know what i got but i don't think that you need um perfect frames in order to appreciate you know what i got i got little um little let's say sticky dickies never mind i got little sticky things to put along the baseboard to hold my ethernet cable holy what is this the future what is this the
