in an effort to give you some comprehensive information on two of the two newest rotary hammers in the marketplace from two of the most capable companies when it comes to drilling masonry we're going to drill some holes as a control through this 4 000 fully cured psi concrete that's fuel reinforced we're not going to be going through the rebar though so what we have here is three of the top brands they're rotary hammers we have bosch the wall and milwaukee there are some new offerings out there one of them happens to be milwaukee's new m18 rotary hammer with dedicated hammer vac and as well as that we have a hilti here a lot of people believe that hilti is the benchmark for rotary hammers we have a one inch diablo rebar demon we're going to drill a hole we're going to see if indeed it's worth it to you and me to upgrade my rotary hammer see how much more benefit you get from maybe going with this new milwaukee or that hilti first up it's going to be the milwaukee we're gonna put our one inch bit into our rotary hammer we're gonna drill a hole we're set on hammer we're set on drill [Music] years back when i bought this rotary hammer there were no ho batteries back then i would run it with the largest battery that was available the 5 amp hour and then the 9 amp hour but after milwaukee released their xc 6.0 i tried my best to run this rotary hammer with the battery it's going to give it the most and that's what i think the 6.0 does [Music] [Music] this old milwaukee rotary hammer has a max rpm of 1400 4 900 flows per minute and a price tag of 299 dollars [Music] [Music] so now we have an idea what i've been working with all these years oh yeah if you're enjoying the content make sure to smash the like button it's free for you to do helps out the channel immensely plus you'll get seven years of good luck next up we have bosch's bulldog and this has been a mainstay in masonry drilling for a lot of years for a lot of us bosch's bulldog one inch rotary hammer delivers 890 rpm 4 350 blows per minute with a price tag of 199. i like this unit because of the dedicated backing but here's one caveat to it it does not run off the rotary hammers battery so you'll need to have two batteries [Music] [Music] so [Music] i don't know where that noise is coming from it's cause the vacuum's still on similar in size to the bosch is the waltz this is a comp a compact rotary hammer you don't need that separate battery to run the vac it runs off the battery on the tool capacity on this is inch and an eighth so we're well within capacity for this rotary hammer this the wall inch and an eighth rotary hammer delivers 1165 rpm and 4 300 blows per minute with a price tag of 339 thousand [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] i felt like that was a little slower but we won't know until post next up we have hilthy's new neuron this is their te 30-22 from their 22 volt neuron platform it doesn't have dedicated suction but i'm kind of interested in see how it compares against the other oil hilti delivers 777 rpm with 4 500 flows per minute and a price tag of 787 dollars so that felt good this is milwaukee's inch and an eighth with dedicated hammer vac i want this to be my new daily driver and it just looks built for business milwaukee delivers 800 rpm and 4600 blows per minute with a price tag of 799 dollars [Music] so [Music] [Music] i like that the hammer fact actually has a self-cleaning function it is brand new i feel like maybe uh sometimes you might get a little bit better performance if you just lubricate the bit before insertion i like to give it the best possible chance [Music] so so [Music] so [Music] i can honestly say the second time after lubrication it felt smoother i don't know if it's necessarily faster the tail the tape will have to tell us so that was an awesome test and a fun video to make any one of these rotary hammers can get the job done including my old faithful here but if your job is literally drilling large diameter holes day in and day out you might want to upgrade but of course you'll always want to weigh cost and benefit if airborne particulate is a concern you're gonna want to maybe take a look at one of these rotary hammers with built-in dust extraction when it comes to the price point the milwaukee which was the best performer was the most expensive but that did include its hammer back second most expensive was the healthy stellar performer but it the price does not include dust extraction which one do you feel is the best performer the best bang for the buck or the right color maybe you don't like red maybe you like yellow we want to know leave it all below and if you want to find out about more rotary hammers go to this next video [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
