Devin Nunes slams Fauci's lack of transparency over COVID origins

[Music] joining me now house intelligence ranking member he is congressman devin nunez it's great to see you sir okay hhs the nih democrats still stonewalling republicans for information about where did this coronavirus come from was it a lab leak where is the outrage where is the hair on fire outraged from democrats and dr fauci over a pandemic that's killed six hundred thousand americans and sick and millions isn't it kind of weird there's not more outrage about this possibility of a lab leak well look they have a lot of serious issues that they'd have to answer to the american people in fact we put a bipartisan committee together where republicans and democrats in the house were supposed to be working together i'm i heard that next week i'm going to be testifying before this committee but the democrats are refusing to testify so house republicans on the intelligence committee put out the most comprehensive report three weeks ago that where we went back and looked at all the circumstantial evidence it all points to a leak from the lab and the only evidence we have that this actually comes from an animal that went through a human is from the chinese communist party dr fauci and the democrats you know don't forget you had nancy pelosi dancing around in chinatown telling everybody to come out and that donald trump republicans are all racist against asians i mean you still see that storyline today so it doesn't really fit with their narrative they can't really do anything about it and they don't really give a damn that 600 000 people died they use this to advance the most liberal agenda in history and borrowing what what are we up to i think jason smith said we've we've spent over seven trillion dollars in the last year and a half it's we've we hear you rumors of that the us has got now a top china official a vice minister of state security dong jing y that he's given the u.s information about the wuhan lab that it may have been a leak we're tracking that story i want to get to this story usa today reporting about a secret pivotal teleconference phone call on february 1st 2020 with dr fauci and scientists uh the day before that phone call scientist christian anderson had emailed dr fauci saying this may look like it had been an engineered engineered in a laboratory they have the phone call dr facchi says yeah we discussed that possibility on the phone call i still believe that it came from an animal and it didn't come from a lab three days later that same scientist christian anderson says this is conspiracy theories it's tin foil hat stuff that there was a lab leak so did it looks like this phone call set the stage for the narrative that now prevails in the media that msnbc and cnn still won't challenge that this could have been a lab leak this is gain of function this thing exploded more than any other virus we've ever seen in the world it rocket around the globe like we've never seen before what is it i would just i would just add this because they wanted to go with this racist narrative the real conspiracy theory here is that this came from an animal of some kind and and not that you know at the time if you were truly following the science from the left and the democrats and fought you they always want to follow the science well if you're following the science of the time what the hell did you know to say that that was a conspiracy theory what was your evidence that the lab was a conspiracy theory and what evidence did you have other than the chinese communist party look i just saw that the chinese foreign ministry is continuing to go out there and call this a conspiracy theory just here in the last 24 hours you continue to have this play down we just heard another report that came out this week was a re was a a scientist uh who came out and said that sh and admitted that she didn't want to be called a conspiracy theorist that's why she was afraid to bring this up to fouchy and the u.s government other officials because you would be destroyed by the fake news media in this country that the democrats control 95 percent of yes so you know the bottom line is why did the chinese military suddenly seize control of the wuhan lab right after the outbreak i mean engineered or not whatever the whatever it was why not just say yeah it might have leaked dr fauci what's your problem with that theory congressman what's your final word on that no i think that's that's right it's just at the time going back to the very beginning if people are actually following the science and doing their job probably the most likely if you had some information other than the chinese telling you then you should rebuild it what is it where is it at you don't and the thing is they don't have it and so look it's like we've all been saying from the very beginning i actually don't believe and the senator cotton myself many others have said this over time i don't believe that chinese actually released this on purpose but i do believe that this research was going on in that lab i think the us government was was actually paying for part of this research and it's been a massive cover-up because obviously chinese don't want people to know they were doing this type of work fauci and others don't want us to know that we were doing this kind of work with us dollars so you know these are the questions that
