Deuteronomy ~ 22:11 to 23:21

back in our fathers word book of Deuteronomy Moses restating the law in lay terms whereby anyone can understand giving you God's opinion now the law itself and I'm going to teach it chapter by chapter and verse by verse but you want to remember these statutes which are rituals like blood sacrifices many of them been done away with and replaced by the blood of Christ I will call attention to that but you need to do the same yourself is know and understand but the base reasoning and meaning always has a special truth in it that you need to latch on to as well so having said that let's continue in chapter 22 verse 11 as he had just finished saying don't ever plow with an ox and an ass together in the same yoke it doesn't work that well okay besides you've got one clean in one unclean animal in that hookup verse 11 with that word of wisdom from our Father it reads thou shalt not wear a garment of diverse sorts as of woolen and linen together in other words woolen is of the flesh and linen is a vegetable okay it comes from flax naturally and and linen is the what our spiritual robes are made of in in heaven itself and you don't mix that with anything that is animal for the simple reason it's the righteous acts of yourself it's what the base is but the main thing is is don't mix things God creates things the way they are he likes them left that way that's the point he wishes to make verse 12 thou shalt make the fringes our tassels being translated upon the four quarters of divest we're with now covers thyself and of course this comes from Numbers chapter 15 verse 38 where is to help you remember remember what remember prayers it's like today you might say well put a string on your finger that's the same same thing but you need to remember verses from God's Word you need to word without having to have a tousle to jog your memory the Holy Spirit has replaced many of these things and when you truly need to be jogged your memory the Holy Spirit will give it to you instantly verse 13 different subject if a man take a wife and go into her and hate her that's not pleased with her and 14 and give occasions of speech against her and bring up an evil name upon her and say I took this woman and when I came to her I found her not a maid and when she wasn't a virgin no and the parents are going to document that she was he's lying he's ruining her reputation this is gossip to the highest degree is to Humble a person and then lie about him that's that's really not a mark of a man that that's the mark of a coward a hypocrite and no good verse 15 then shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring forth the tokens of the damsels virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate that's the place of judgment 16 in the day his father excuse me shall say unto the elders I gave my daughter unto this man to wife and he hated her and that's not the bad part the bad part is he lied about her verse 17 and lo he has given occasions of speech against her saying I found not thy daughter a maid and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city verse 18 and the elders of the city shall take that man and chastise him to punish him 19 and they shall immerse that means they're gonna find him in and hundred shekels of silver and give them unto the father of the Denzil because he has brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel and she shall be his wife and he may not put her away all his days there are biblical reasons for divorce but once this happens he's hooked now unfortunately and thank God for Christ and salvation it may be that this damsel if it were in modern time doesn't want to put up with the hypocrite and it's her privilege to leave him there were you know many might say well I thought that it was against God's law to divorce divorce is terrible but there are reasons for divorce and you know the price that Christ paid on the cross brings forth forgiveness and even if one were at odds and in the wrong in a divorce and realize that and know they're wrong and repent and ask God's forgiveness when God forgives and wipes that slate clean it's gone it's as though it didn't happen so you have to bear that in mind and it makes you appreciate our Lord and Savior all the more but so here but this is the law as far as that man is concerned he is hooked for life and I can't say that's it doing the woman in your big favor verse 20 and if this thing be true and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel meaning she would not have been a virgin 21 then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house and the men of her City shall stone her with stones that she died because she has wrought folly in Israel to play the in her father's house so shalt thou put evil away from among you and again thank God for forgiveness thank God for the fact that Christ died on the cross for the children because we we all slip up at various times and this forgiveness is a beautiful wonderful gift when you're sincere with Almighty God verse 22 if a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband then they shall both of them die both the man in that lay with the woman and the woman so shalt thou put away evil from Israel verse 23 if a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband and a man find her in the city and lie with her 24 then you shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city the place of judgment and you shall stone them with stones that they die the damsel because she cried not being in the city and the man because he had tumbled his neighbor's wife so thou shalt put away evil from among you and the fact is that she was betrothed that made the difference now forgiveness overrides burdens that are put upon people but this next one still holds true because it is as a criminal homicide that is to rape someone against their will when they do cry out 25 but if a man find a betrothed ensel in the field and the man force her that's rape and lie with her then the man only that lay with her shall die 26 well why is that why is that so stirred in this case why would you say this is not forgivable also well listen 26 but into the damsel thou shalt do nothing there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death for as when a man rises against his neighbor and slayeth him even so is this matter in other words rape is the same as a criminal homicide it's the same as murder and as it is written in the First Epistle of John chapter 3 verse 15 it is impossible for a murderer to have forgiveness in the flesh meaning capital punishment is supposed to be exercised and his trial will be helped by Almighty God and that is when someone lies and wait evilly without mercy taking a life big difference okay then then a crime of passion or many other things never you know Scripture lawyers are a dime a dozen but common sense always prevails that you must never judge with one side you must look at both sides and no one understand the situation and the history thereof but when we allow a an adult to rape a 12 year girl and take her life at the same time and then let this man have 10 or 15 years and turn him loose and he murders again we have done a great disservice to the young the young people that were raped and murdered it's our fault because we should have killed him he should have been executed God demands it and a lot of people they're still going to say well I didn't know that was a deterrent hey when you're dead you don't bother people okay that's why it's a good deterrent that's why God demands it in certain cases and criminal homicide and an absolute rape is considered the same in God's eyes verse 27 to continue for he found her in the field and the betrothed damsel cried and there was none to save her 28 I mean this is another case if a man find a damsel that is a virgin which is not betrothed she isn't engaged she isn't married she isn't promised to someone and they hold on her and lie with her and they be found 29 then the man that lay with her shall given to her the damsels father fifty shekels of silver and she shall be his wife because he hath humbled her he may not put her away all his days in other words it is a marriage for life and it cannot be dis annulled or nor a divorce placed in hand I still feel that if the if the Virgin so wished that that as it is written in the Proverbs only a fool listens to a fool and only a fool puts up after you would be a fool to put up with the fool so it would be according to what type person this was also verse 30 a man shall not take his father's wife nor discover his father's skirt what this means is is it is the same as when in Noah's case if you've ever read the Leviticus chapter 20 verse 11 it says that to uncover your father's nakedness is to to have practice in saw incest with your mother or your father's wife it could be a stepmother or in this particular time a man could have more than one wife but to uncover your father's nakedness is to lie with one of his wife wives and God takes a very dim view of that this is the reason that Noah not God but Noah drove canaan away from the family because it was his wife's a son well enough but by one of his sons that is to say him and so it is and God considers that an extreme no-no and of course naturally that is incest chapter 23 basically chapter 22 concerned women as well as men but mostly women chapter 23 pertains to men and it's important that you remember that 23 verse 1 he that is wounded in the stones or have his privy members cut off shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord there were religions at this time that part of worshipping this idol worship was to mutilate oneself and they didn't want anyone like that in leadership in the congregation of Almighty God there is a difference in practicing and having forgiveness but not being in leadership as rather than to be to have the right to be in leadership in other words what I'm saying is salvation is cut off in this generation for no one verse 2 a bastard shall not enter to the congregation of the Lord even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord this means in a leadership capacity now if you do not understand this word in the Hebrew you need to check it out with your Strong's Concordance the word bastard is men's r it is not the offspring of of a illegitimate relationship that is to say it is not the offspring of a a person who conceived out of wedlock that does not make someone a men's are when you check the meaning of men's r it is half of the tribe of israel one of the tribes and half of the heathen in other words this would be hybrids again as for mentioned and you might say well and and the point is a child that is illegitimate can certainly be saved to be a Christian there is nothing against them and their generation to generation but naturally what father is saying which ever tried that the men's our goes to it takes ten generations to get totally back to that blood and many men said well that sounds racist to me well it's God's law okay you take it up with him if you're unhappy with it God loves all of his children he loves them just the way they are God is not a racist or would he have anything to do with a racial act but God does love purity and he has a right to expect that verse three an am i right or a Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever now many might say well I have a big problem here because we know in the genealogy of Christ that one of the women was a more biased so how can that be well that's why I explained to you this is with women verse 4 let me say let me add anytime you think there is a controversy in God's Word you need to look a little deeper for their ordinal controversies in the manuscripts translation you that's why he gave us the law for our betterment and to keep us out of trouble and to keep us out of harm's way and you're all familiar with the story of Balaam and the fact that a dumbass had to block him from rushing on into doing what was wrong verse 6 thou shall not seek their peace and nor their prosperity to say their good all the days forever no more dude they got to make it on their own naturally through the Lord Jesus Christ whomsoever will those 10 generations have passed verse 7 thou shalt not abhorred and Edomite that's a child of Esau for he is thy brother thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian because thou was a stranger in his land and and so it was that when Israel left Egypt they were far wealthier than they were when they went there 8 the children that are begotten of shall not come within the camp this has to do with such as touching dead persons and so on and so forth but it can also mean uncleanliness in other ways verse 11 keep the camp clean verse 11 but it shall be when evening cometh on he shall wash himself with water and when the Sun is down he shall come into the camp again cleansed of course verse 12 thou shall have a place also without the camp whether thou shalt go forth abroad in other words when when when you dig the straddle trench or the privy then don't dig it to relieve yourself within the camp make sure it's outside the camp what cuts down on disease dysentery so and so forth 13 in an army this is a serious serious situation and extremely important 13 and thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon that's a shovel and it shall be when thou it will ease thyself abroad thou shalt dig therein and shall turn back and cover that which cometh from thee in other words that is to keep disease blowflies and so on and so forth from spreading dysentery or some other disease among the troops when you're in a field of battle the last thing in the world you need is to have disease in the camp these things are extremely important verse 14 for the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp to deliver thee are you gonna lose if he isn't there God goes with his children when they go to battle when they make him a part of the equation and to give up thine enemies before thee therefore shall by camp be holy that he see no unclean thing in thee and turn away from thee in other words keep your military clean sanitary as best you can and what because the Lord God is with them and he won't put up with with undisciplined diseased or people that feel God is apart you know this is why it is important in a Christian army and this may have been some be that as it may but that's why we've never lost a war we have him with us and there's already I can hear it well you lost Korea and you're lost ma'am no we didn't we broke the back of communism Russia fell like a ton of bricks shortly after this I mean they could not afford to keep up and and that very conflict destroyed them in many why didn't know Russia had a part in the word here is not as you would commonly use the word in English it is Kadesh and and the word Kadesh means a temple prostitute it was a prostitute used in bail temples to to raise money to make womb if if you are in a position where you can help him help him that is fine but do not charge a brother interest even to this day now there there are exceptions to every rule and the rule I make on this and it is myself my own opinion that if a parent wants to help a child and you have to borrow money let's say 5 percent to help the child where the child may be the credit isn't good or he's building a credit or something of that nature then it at or your brother will keep in the proper relationship then you I feel that is necessary that you can pass that 5% on to him because you're having to pay it yourself and you went in debt to help the brother I feel in that case that would be alright to charge it's not you charging misery don't you add 1% on to that but at least he would have to pay the interest or the Ussery on the money that you had signed for for him i feel bad as adequate in other words in modern times sometimes things change that is fair and just and i see nothing wrong with with doing that usually it is not the best practice in the world to sign for something but there are cases where it is necessary whereby you know that the person's word is their bond and they're good for it and so be it because there's one thing for certain when you sign your name on the dotted line you are the one that is responsible not only to pay the 5% but the total amount in case that person does not so those are things you have to take into consideration verse 20 unto a stranger thou may have leaned upon usery but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usery that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the towel set us thine hand to in the LAT land whither thou goest to possess it I believe that with all my heart that when you do it God's Way God will always bless you what went when you when you have to give to help some a brother then if you do it openly and it is an honest situation God will bless you whereby you will certainly lose nothing from it and God loves someone that has that compassion that's the mark of one of God's elect you can always count on that so but a stranger you know that you have no not you can charge them Ussery no problem but your money to work not a no sin no strings attached 21 when thou shalt bow a vow unto the Lord thy God thou shalt not slack to pay it for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee and it would be a sin in thee if you didn't okay now there's something you want to know about this many times I have letters from people that say well I was going to this church and I've made a vow that I would give them a thousand dollars in payments and I found out they're not even a Church of God they're there what they practice there's just greed then you always pay the valve where you're taught God's Word in other words you're not breaking your vow if you make certain that it does go to God's house rather than there's some ripoff artists you want to always be on guard against that
