Deep Cleaning a FILTHY Cadillac XTS! | Winter Wash and Car Cleaning of a Muddy Caddy!

hey what's up guys and welcome to the video now the vehicle sitting beside me today is a beautiful 2017 cadillac xts although as you can see it's not looking so good right now okay so taking a look around this xts and it's pretty clear this car has taken a bit of a beating from the wet and mucky roads that we've had a couple of times this winter as it's basically been turned brown with dirt even the front end is covered too so the pressure washer is definitely going to get a workout today especially with the wheel wells where there's a pile of dirt and slush waiting but moving inside now and thankfully it's not looking so bad but there's still some dirty floor mats grimy cup holders and some dirty leather to deal with but just before we jump into things here take a second and make sure cleaned up and looking sweet again so sit back relax and enjoy okay so starting with the pre-wash rinse and i have to say that just like last week it's a nice change of pace getting to work on a higher quality vehicle today as it always makes the details a little bit more enjoyable and if you were wondering this is only the second cadillac that i've ever detailed with the first being the farmer's escalade that i've done twice now [Music] so [Music] [Music] okay so in case you couldn't already tell these wheel wells are carpeted and are quite literally stuffed full of dirt you guys can see here it's like a never-ending fountain of mud coming out of there so having to deal with these definitely slows things down a bit today [Music] um [Music] [Music] moving to the front and for anyone wondering what pressure washer i'm using here it's a 110 volt electric bertollini pressure washer that pushes 1900 psi at two gallons a minute so if you want a little bit more info on it the link is at the top of the description for you [Music] okay with the rest of the car rinsed off and the door jambs sprayed out i'll turn my attention to the underside and i really don't know where it was all hiding but there was a ton of dirt down there as it was just pooling in front of me so seeing that and i'm definitely going to make slower passes so i can be sure i can get all the dirt and the road salt sprayed off which is really important to do over the winter months here to prevent the rust from starting to form [Music] [Music] yes [Music] [Music] okay [Music] now while i start on the wash stage i figured i'd let you know in case you didn't see it already but i posted another q and a video over on the second channel the detail geek 2 just a couple of days ago so if you've ever enjoy it [Music] whatever [Music] [Music] [Music] okay with the car dried off i'll quickly back it out of the garage and i have to say it never ceases to amaze me at how much dirt carpeted liners can hold onto so after quickly getting the floor cleaned up i'll get to work on these dirty floor mats [Music] okay so moving to these very unique full coverage mats and the process remains the same here i'll first blast all the dirt off of them and then after spraying on some apc diluted ten to one i'll switch over to my soft white drill brush which is the perfect option for these softer embroidered mats [Music] [Applause] okay so with the car back in the garage i'll quickly get all the garbage and the personal items out of the car including the filthy yoga mat get it put aside and then get started on vacuuming [Music] [Music] do [Music] moving to the dirty back seat here and the one tip i have for vacuuming seats and it's especially important with this particular car is to really stretch out the seams as that's typically where all the dirt and the debris will collect and if i don't get that all sucked up right now it's just going to cause issues later on for me when i'm cleaning and conditioning the leather [Music] up [Music] uh [Music] um starting on the carpets now and i'm sure you can guess but the quality of these carpets is really good not quite as nice as the bmw from last week but it's very close so besides the fact that there isn't a ton of debris around the car the nicer carpet will always make the job much easier as dirt just doesn't get stuck in the fibers the same way that it does in cheaper carpets [Music] and right now right now [Music] [Music] okay so despite this customer not opting to have the carpet shampooed and quite honestly they really didn't need to be as the floor mats have done their job really well i could see there was a bit of dirt that had collected around the outer edge of where the carpet floor mat would sit in the summertime so i'm going ahead and taking care of it here anyways as it's only going to take me about 10 minutes and like i said before if i can see it then so can the customer there was no way i was giving the car back with that spot visibly dirty [Music] [Music] here's the half a tank full of dirty water pulled from the carpet and even though there's not much of it it's still pretty gross [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] moving to the dirtiest spot inside the car and that's the cup holders where there was a bunch of coffee that had spilled and gotten pretty grimy and just like the rest of the interior i'm going with the simpler method of all-purpose cleaner diluted about 10 to 1 my borsair detail brush to agitate and then a couple of microfiber towels to finish the job [Music] now to tackle this leather i'll start by spraying on some mcguire's d181 leather cleaner then i'll use my soft horsehair brush to gently agitate making sure to really get into the seams where there was a little bit of stuck on dirt the vacuum wasn't able to get sucked up and then i'll simply wipe it off with a microfiber towel [Music] [Music] with the seats clean now i'll use some mcguire's d180 leather conditioner and apply it with a microfiber applicator pad which is going to leave them looking and feeling soft and supple [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right now that we've got the interior finished it's time to turn our attention to the paint and start the decontamination process and for that i'm using pinnacle ultra poly clay and a quick detailer acting as lubricant to ensure that all the surface bonded contaminants like tar tree sap or other road grime are removed from the paint and once this is done the paint will be perfectly clean and ready for a sealant oh [Music] okay with a foam finishing pad on my polisher i'll get a coat of sealant applied to this car and one thing to keep in mind here when removing it once it's dried is to use a quality microfiber towel and ensure that you're flipping the towel to a clean side every panel or two otherwise you'll likely end up leaving residue all over as the fibers will eventually get full and you'll just be pushing it around on the paint and of course with this car being blocked that will stick out like a sore thumb [Music] [Music] no is [Music] so [Music] all right guys and a quick seven hours later and
