[Music] hello again and welcome to another morian Glory Warhammer 40K battle report in today's episode we find the smelly Invaders the forces of the death guard storming into a ruined Imperial City The Defenders will not give ground they will hold off against the Heretics his Imperial Guard is here the albian 77th foot and they will hold the line and Jo name and joining me is my partnering crime a journey that has been a year in the making yeah hundreds of miles have been crossed I've come from the right side penines to the wrong side of the I'm here to die gloriously in his name it is some that call you Josh oh some some call you a a gent a gent some call me Northern a northern gent for it all together Northern Jen Josh so uh Northern J Josh and I we bumped into each other uh about a year ago at the N GT and we've been we sort of we hit it off we've been chatting back and forth and you mess back and forth we've been trying to line up a game but it's always been where I've been free and he's not well typically it's been I've been busy and and and he's been free it's been moved to London you've moved to London or something but finally the stars have aligned and we have finally made this battle happen and you are bringing the Imperial Guard and I have brought the death guard because I haven't had the death guard out in a while we've got a few new units I brought I brought metal boxes I'm not just foot slogging it across the table I know normally upon Sid in the Infantry i max out sir that's my sty sir but today exactly but today we've got something a little bit different uh the sort of theme behind this uh battle is going to be the death guard a mechanized assault spear heading into uh maybe the last ditch defense of the Guard maybe a rear guard action has been thrown up by the albian trying to buy time uh either way they are not going to give this ground easily and they're going to do their best to as we said as they always do best hold the line and die in his name it is a godman's duty to hold the line and die standing it's what we do best but yeah that's the plan so uh what we'll do now is we'll take a look at the two forces that will be battling out today attention gsman the commissar has detected you have not yet liked this video do so immediately or else you will face the emess Wrath and anyone who has not yet subscribed to the channel will be transferred to the p battalions that is all move out and here we have 2,000 points of the death guard see I always run guard just this time it's the death guard you see I'm actually technically running Mech guard today it's just not Mech Imperial Guard oh so we've got 2,000 points of death guard and finally finally I've included some proper vehicles in the list I know many of you do enjoy the horde of plague Marines but sadly it's not quite as viable in uh 10th edition used to be great when I could take blocks of 20 plague Marines those were the days those hey Health on days but now uh you do need to put your guys in rhinos it has to be done otherwise uh they just become smoking crators very quickly so we'll start off with the Infantry core because we always start off with the Infantry core and we have got to start off four units of identical plague Marines each one of these are 10 man strong and we have got a sergeant with a plasma gun that's the guy with the green plasma gun there we've got two people with a blight launchers these being the heresy models I thought that the best the best substitute or the best proxy as it were for a BL launcher be a missile launcher cuz they both got launcher in the name lots of stuff lots of stuff and then we've got a couple of plague spewers and then we've got a couple of the These vulat Guys these are actually uh the regular plasma gun guys so you can tell the difference between the uh the sergeant plasma gun and the regular plasma guns because the regular ones are the vites we've then got two 50 dudes these are both going to be plague grein with heavy weapons and then we've got one dude with the bup and chainsaw and that represents a play green with just the normal bubonic weapons the sort of the plaguy sort of power weapony sort of thing so we've got four units of those everything's got to have a unique name these days it can't just be power weapon uh so so we've got four units of those and that's going to provide a really solid backbone to the Army there's lots of Firepower and because the Sergeant's got a pseudo power weapon then we've got another plague weapon then we've got two heavy plague weapons we've actually got quite a decent combat punch it's one of the things I love about play Marin I think makes them just very strong is they're not pigeon hold you've got a lot of other I tend to find like other heretic starties or starties infantry which are good at shooting or at combat but plague Marines kind of do it all which I really like about think makes them very flexible we've then got another little fiveman unit and these are just as you can see one plasma gun one blight launcher one plague spearer uh one plasma gun and one fist fisty bro um that's just a little fan unit because I had a few points left over and I did think about adding some death guard cultists in but um the only cultist models I have the blood packed and I just got to have that matching color scheme it's got to be done I will definitely make my list worse if it looks better that's the only thing that matters so these are just my little objective holders or secondary doers that kind of thing and then we've got a big old chunky Unit 10 blight Lord Terminators every single one of them with a Combi bolters ready to just unleash the dacer now I do know that you can get uh like free plague Speers and aans and stuff I don't quite have the models for those yet and also I'm I'm kind of a big fan of just going Mass lethal hits with these bolters um and I have found that when you've got 10 of them and they've got the r rolls and everything it does provide you with a hell of a lot of daer and a good bit of horde clearance as well but in the I am planning on getting uh a whole bunch of Auto cannons and plague spearers so that I can actually run three maxed out blocks of blight lws because I don't think it'd be effective but I think it'd be really cool to bring 30 Terminators leading all of these boys we have got five five I can't even count four characters I could just add an extra one and no one don't notice we got five characters so we've got three tmen these guys will be tallying The Kills they'll be doing three accountants essentially cuz nothing is more terrifying than hmrc so you've got to have your uh you've got to have your accounts the the IRS takes no prisons I don't care if the Saran so three T they've all got their their plasma pistols and their weap and that close combat weapons um the these guys can be plus one to hit so I'm going to have three of these in three of the playr units one of the play will have to make do with that one but uh the other three are going to be hitting on twos why not hit spicy well as a guard player I'm used toit on twos with death G Creek I'm I'm not I'm not downgrading my ballistic skill to take Marines you know so and then we've got one last character here and this will be typhus yes the man the myth the legend the smelly boy himself we are going for typhus he look he's got a big axe I've never used tyers before and apparently you can put them on black Lords and apparently the black Lords get minus one to be hit how dare they so 10 termes minus one to be hit seems because you need it pretty excessive so so uh I I mostly to be honest I put tyers in the list first and then thought what can he go with um and I do like Terminators so there we are and then we get to the mechanized elements so I don't have a lot of vehicles for my uh for my death guard and most of the ones I do have are heresy Vehicles which when I first started building the Army totally legal all great I jumped on the plastic heresy vehicle uh train and then GW came in with 10th edition went yeah you know that thing called fun yeah you're not allowed that um so so uh it's been a little while but we finally we i' finally broken and I've bought the humble Rhino I know it's it's the most basic [ __ ] of metal boxes and it pales in comparison to my beloved Kimera but uh I I can't foot Stog my death guard anymore so we' got a couple of rhinos and these have got the the two bolters and the Havoc launchers on them and uh there will be two squads of play grees going in there and then we've got two uh now these are the Spartan models but we're going to be using them as death guard land Raiders today um I did think about using them as spans but I didn't want to bring Legends cuz I know Legends adds a whole different Dynamic into the uh into it and some people love it and some people don't some people see legends in a in a video and they'll like it some people see legends video and they'll just click straight off it so I thought you know what we'll go down the middle and we'll just have the Spartan models but we'll use them as uh death guard L Raiders because they are pretty much the same size and they're full of Ls cannons it's not you can't misunderstand what this thing is going to do to you it's going to come up to you it's going to shoot with L can so there we go but that is the full list 2,000 points and I am very excited to try out a Mech death guard style list and the plan is to drive up to the guard jump out and punish them but I highly doubt that uh Josh is going to let me do that and I think and he has brought a few tools for his toolbox to uh to try and stop me so let's head over to the Imperial Guard and here we have 2,000 points of the inferior guard arm7 I am full I am full traitor today no of course of the true Imperial Guard the emperor's true finest his Imperial Guard so Josh this is the 77 the albian regiment it is indeed like a foot mechanized I love it and this is a sort of pretorian style color scheme to an extent yes nice so uh you decided to go for a very difficult color scheme and paint white because I just I just hate myself I love it so uh we actually we actually um we I saw this Army about a year ago yeah when it was at the the notam GT and it's actually great to see it in its full Glory because whenever I sort of spied it across the uh the table there were many casualties being taken and on either side on either side and there are lots of ruins in the way so it's actually nice to see the full thing in in parade ground formation so why don't you just take us uh through what you've got on your list yeah absolutely so I have what I've got speed bump over here of 10 cadens nice I've got a nice 20 man blob of cadens here be led by a character which I'll point out later on start with the Infantry we start the officers can come last they're useless people exactly we move across we've got some catch so just not these with a different paint Scheme just to make my life easier because when you have red everywhere it's quite hard to see which you got K you know see and it's also allows you to not have to like mess around with those 20y old crappy cat exactly so green is Katan and white is CAD excellent so we got a 20 man blob and a 10 man blob nice nice so these have all just got uh flamers and you know all that fun stuff all just the usual Katan stuff then over here just to the left of the offices we have a 20 man blob of your favorite death go oh yes I love it and I love these old school standing at ease cre models they look they look amazing thank you and I love they they I think the C models have come up really nicely in the red and white and the green flock also just adds the extra Pops Pops yeah I really like it I did think about getting another set of 10 of these but I also don't want another mortgage so ick it out some instead and then we move over here to the elite section best of the best so we got a 10man squad for the Giga Squad yes of tempestas so there's going to be a command Squad joining them oh absolutely and then we have I fear it I fear it why did I make why did make all these tactics videos people are using them against me now and then just the fiveman squad just to go in get some Behind Enemy Lines and have some fun nice nice I it is always funny when I do play against um guard players and they are like using uh some of the stuff that I've like talked about it just reminds me of that one scene in har Potter where it's like you dare use my own spells against me Po shall we move over I am the Ogen braid princess all right now we've got the tanks so over to the armor here we have my first ever OU in of my Dawn I think I'm going to nickname him IR ins sign depending on does big old beefy Dawn really like the paint Scheme here but obviously see he's work in progress he's work battle ready y yeah so I expect him to die turn one because it's a new model exactly and uh what um load out you given what you see is what you get so uh yes pretty much part from the sponsons that I may have forgotten to put on but AP from that we were doing good so spons or heavy bter heavy bter I'm believeing I'm going to go for that dacker but nice okay so over to here where we have a rain which is my Bisk nice what you see is what what you got he's going to sit back he's going to pop out some shots hopefully kill a few things just slay you down really how dare you how dare I'm already slow enough both in my brain and with my Army slow me down even more what I'm here for and then at the back here we've got one of my Lan Rosses this is the one that I made last year for eth uh and 9th but hey ho here we are I'm actually running this as a standard Leman Russ battle tank okay with plas is good you know should I just use it I I would it's it gets full it's it's not as bad as it as I sort of initially assessed it as I'm going to take your word here on stream right now this is an executioner I would go for an executioner because we're playing with a lot of terrain and the extra in and as as you haven't got an exterminator you'll want a a vehicle that has the uh x-ray through cover yeah so that'll be a plasma executioner and then we'll go over to my last uh to the fake taxi over here I love it yes so we've got three OG inside the Chimera heavy Bolter heavy Bolter and three I love it it it's going to be big fan of the fake taxi and the Bang Bus exactly in game and on the internet wait what and then we have my tank commander here I'm actually running him with the Al Canon turet nice y gives him the extra uh bit of reliability on the wounding considering he's not hitting as good better better to have the Rel everything else hit better hopefully and he'll be having plasma heavy B and hunger killer missile and he's ground strategist oh yeah so he has two orders yes so you can boss around uh the Dawn and one of the vehicles yes yeah nice so that's 2,000 points it's a pretty um oh officers officers officers so we have the one and only true Creed as Creed nice got his big stogy I love it all right in the paint Scheme as well yes and then across here we have my death C Marshall also called as Peggy because his leg broke off so I actually put a peg in there I love it we have Sten Sten the Beast there we go and then next to him we have [ __ ] Sly Maro [ __ ] Sim Marvo I love it will you be spending two CP to reinforcements Maro who knows who knows knows probably not and last but not least then pest command the gig Squad so that's 2,000 points and it's quite a good um take on comers list you've got the quintessential sort of 80 infantry and then you've got three battle tanks but then you instead of having like that fourth battle tank you've got the daa Chimera and then you've got the one bit of indirect fire but rather than having a second bit you've gone for the pseudo indirect 5 which is absolutely legit and I think uh gives you and I quite like how this vehicle and these guys ride the line of both being more of a unit and uh and also more of an indirect fire unit cuz the ogin I I actually it sounds kind of crazy I kind of classed those as sud fire CU they got combat and so combat you can charge things you can't see and so it allows you to Target things you can't see so having lots of these a lot whenever I do my videos and I'm always like oh you need like two indirect fires and four tank stuff there are ways that you can kind of like blur the lines a little bit and you don't just have the sticks so rigidly to actual artillery there pseudo artillery and there's uh pseudo punch and all that kind of stuff but uh excellent thank you for taking us through the list uh I'm I'm quaking in my boots a little bit it's it's always intimidated facing off against the guard Army but we'll see if uh your massive infantry will be able to hold back my mechanized thrust you have got the numbers I've got the force concentration there's only one way to find out let's head over to the field of battle after deployment and here we have the field of battle after deployment the death guard have deployed a serious mechanized wedge on the Left Flank a land Raider filled to the brim with plague Marines supported by two more metal boxes of plague Marines we have got what I have dubbed operation basilis fodder hanging around on the back field objective uh hoping to hold that with a minimum of force so we can have a maximum going forward and then we sort of started running out of space to hide things so we put our second land Raider with a Talman and and a sergeant well a whole squ of play Greens on this flank a little bit more spread out than I would like to be I was hoping to a bit more Force concentration but uh we've got a decent amount of force concentrated here at the end of the day a land Raider full of plague Queens on its own is quite a lot of concentration uh we've put typhus and the boys tyus and the lads the boys uh they have gone into Reserve uh if we come over to we just sweep round who we're doing a magical journey if we sweep round to the guard we have got a platoon a fine infantry platoon with the Ogen uh fake taxy and the plasma tank uh anchoring your right flank we've got a center we've got a fire base we've got the Le Russ tank commander the platoon of of The Emperor's finest cre and of course you got to have the artillery in the creig side by side naturally it's just natural and then we've got a third platoon I quite like the the three platoon the three armies within you know within an armies yeah yeah I really like like that you've U and you've done the right thing which is you have uh you've got a good you've got localized Force concentration whilst also uh dominating and spreading out to try and uh cover as much of the map as possible so my thinking here is I have the cat on the right hand side with the scal move so if I do get first th which I actually don't want I can move onto the point I just need to remember to screen you out here that is the thing I need to remember I will drop in 10 Terminators that would be very very bad uh we've got the crean here who is going to go and die gloriously at the front yes um and my thinking over here is I can pivot to which one and then we're just going to have a massive brawl over here with the cadians with M with simaro did you know he can swim through land I did not I do know that Sim Maro doesn't teabag people he potato sacks them he does oh man so yes it's quite interesting the two different deployments uh going through the uh the terrain it's all ruined it's all ruins all the way now these aren't sort of tournament style ruins or terrain layouts so we've had a bit of a a gentleman's with you being a northern gent of course we had a bit of a gentleman's agreement uh where we're going to be um kind of generous with obviously if you're intending to hide behind something it's a little like Las gun or Little Barrel poking out I'm not like oh I can see a whole unit or anything like that no no if you're intentionally is to try and hide and you've done a very you know reasonable effort of doing that then that's that's the way we're going to play it um the mission for today is sights of power basically get characters onto objectiv get more points if you don't have character objectives you still get some points so winner win a winner chicken dinner uh and then we're doing chilling rain because we're boring and deployment is Dawn of War uh but that so that's everything I guess there's only one thing left to do find out who's going to go first so Josh as my guest would you like to roll first absolutely in his name it's a good roll want wanted low come on I never go first oh today I'm actually okay with go first I feel like I am drawable enough to be able to uh to do something about that uh there won't be a huge amount of Firepower though most things are hidden so I guess we'll do a bit of death guard movement on command and see what we've got left to do after that end of death guard movement and command turn one it was very very very quick we started off by drawing the shitest set of objectives I possibly could have done so at first I drew assassination not good turn one to say the least uh I then Drew uh c i then Drew deploy teleport home which is okay but I couldn't really get to the middle of the board turn one so that's like go I'll get that turn two okay and then I drew I decided to dispat get rid of ination redraw once per game do it at the beginning uh and I got cap and re Outpost brilliant so we've uh the good news is we've hopefully got rid of all of the crap ones uh sort of early on but uh that was really it so uh it ter of my S command I I I did disregard captur the Outpost at the end so I will even though I spent a CP I will actually gain a CP so I'll end on one CP and I'm going to turn two with 2 CP um for movement I moved in advance this land raer over here uh it's Towing on to the objective with a view of getting into the mid board uh later on I then took my five guys that were here and I move them forward so that next turn I can do some deployed teleporter Homer because I don't really want to do it with anything big and important but five dudes is definitely a good job for them uh operation Bas fodder has actually uh changed significantly uh you even on the point or I'm on the point but just with my land Raider so it's it's it should be safe should be safe and then move the advance this land Raider over here move an advance to Rhino here and we're forming like an armored colomy spearhead thingy over there all right and that is the uh the general plan I didn't want to move my rhinos around here cuz I thought they' just get shot and die they're already rhinos at the end of the day so that is the uh the first turn death guard nothing else to do so we'll head over to the vest turn the app guard turn in his name okay Josh take us through your movement and command so in my command phase I have moved moved moved these lovely catachans to be operation human shield yes nice um just to stop just to be a bit of a roadblock not let let you move as far also get on the point how rude I would love to just move all the way past you and drive into your deployment Zone but hey ho uh I've moved my 20 man catr into this ready to go on to either Point as necessary I've also remembered to screen you out sir this is a good this a good thing so fire mouth which is my tank here is positioned here to has got a nice lovely line of sight hopefully that dies this turn but we will find out I hope not it's meant to be quite tough we'll find out we've got a rain who's going to bring the rain nice he's going to shoot up whatever he wants I'm going to probably do that at the end we've got the death car who just DG who have dug in this time I was like ding in so I was going to move on to the point but I thought why not that's just give me 20 guys so I'll probably order these guys to dig in just take cover yeah take cover just in Cas they don't need it but they might as well have it tank commander ordered the Bist to take Aim and as also ordered IR inside which is my rogue of dawn to take Aim as well and they also going to fire a lot at that bad boy over there nice nice love it and we'll go from there okay well get get some dice together and we'll do some shooting sweet so where are we starting so we're going to start with the tank commander because he has the auto cannons start from the top start from the top down I like it to down and then I can put some um Buffs on my side self to hit because of the auto Cannon is that the right one no no so he he doesn't get anything like that other people will no so the tank Commander's ability is when he dies he gets to shoot got you but if you take an actual Liam Russ exterminator its ability even though it's the same gun yeah its ability is extra AP no there we go you learn something you new every day so um so but you want that auto Canon just because it gets four we rolls to wound it's twin link sweet so yeah we're going to do that so you'll have uh you're not 2400 range I don't think so probably not do I double check oh no oh close but no so you'll have four shots from the Exterminator Auto Cannon uh and then it's what got L Cannon and pl okay so uh you're hitting on fours so we'll get our dice stay here so you're hitting on fours actually I'm going to it doesn't make a differ to this dice I'm going to SP a CP for smoke so you hit it on five you got five anyway so you're fine uh and then now you're wounding on fives rrolling rrolling CU a twin Linked In His name no he didn't hear you you got a A LZ Cannon next uh you what I'll do that as a red dice here we go red dice red laser indeed oh he's only gone and done it but you have moved so you don't get born soldiers not just nth Edition anym winning on four because I'm tough to 12 these threes he's not quite done it threes uh then we've got two plaz bonson are you overcharging in his name always we die like men okay so 2d3 for the number of shots that'll be two shots amazing what I wanted hit on fives no no hits and then you have to roll two dice hazardous you don't overheat where was that six I needed it Hunter kill missile may as well Eagle One Fox two it's a Miss because of the of the smoke these little bastards have got Shields too oh well uh stubber yeah that's three shots three shots I'm using one on your dice here okay one hit one hit I've moved though did a six no nothing I told you they were tough when you were like I'm going to kill it I was like I don't think you will but now we get that's the tank about hits on fours that's really what the smoke is going to uh penalize I'm guessing we're going over iron side now Big Daddy Dawn okay big daddy Dawn so you've got the oppressor cannon that's D6 plus three shots D6 seven not bad seven now you'll be the the Blessed number for me anyway for those that are curious uh for my contagion I took the one uh that makes you Min want to hit me but you're not in Contagion range yeah you just have smoke exactly uh so you're hitting on fours cuz you hit on threes but plus one minus one so yeah well hit on fours plus or minus one yeah it's a good it's a good volley oh it's not bad good volley it's not bad I've only dropped two Ro drop two now you are wounding on fors cuz your strength 12 with the oppressor it's oppressive this oppressor cannon I say it's impressive but we'll find out it's very it's very impressive oh you've only dropped three okay I'll take that take that to the bank yeah so uh I it would be minus two but I've got the benefit of cover because of smoke so I will will be on a three- up save one goes through I take three damage I've got 13 wounds left okay so we just we'll use this for a three just so I remember where I'm up to nice okay uh so you won't have the P Canon you will have the auto Cannon though and this hits on threes normally so plus one minus one it hits on threes there you go how many shots just the two just the two coax Auto Cannon we've got a hit got a hit six and a one six and a one it is a wound uh I will be on a two up save oh passed pass it flying colors pass pass bounces off the ceramite hole it does uh and then it's going to be three stubbers which will be uh nine shots and then two heav bolters which will be six shots but there'll be different profiles so I'll do the nine shots first okay heavy stubber we out 50 k get on that 50 oh where are these with the battle C I need to hit on fours cuz you're still at minus one look at those sixes I know if only you if only this was ninth Edition there we go fives yeah there sixes strength four versus toughness 12 so nothing so just the the 50 cal rounds spanking off the uh the armored hide and then you've got the heavy Bolter now these sixes here actually mean something they're sustained hits so you get extra exploding sixes of course you don't roll any naturally uh but you do get two hits because you're hitting on a hit on four sorry get get that four back in there there we go uh and then you're wounding on uh sixes no so boun is off it's not that good so far boys it's uh not looking so good I've taken three words I thought you know what he's popped out I could do this it's a land Raider and the good thing is is they kind of feel land Raider now okay so uh where we going to go next we're going to go for iron rain or we going to go for fire mou let's go uh let's work our way across so we'll do iron rain onto I guess the Marines onto plague Marines okay plag Marines I think that's the best B it's going to stop you getting on to that point with just a move so that's my think very possibly if I hit okay so you need D6 plus it be D6 plus four in total cuz you get plus one for blast plus three for your weapon here we go in his name oh it's big that's nine and this will get born soldiers yeah buddy okay I'm this is what it feels like this is what it feels like someone hit yeah you artillery is broken it's [ __ ] man what you can't see me I don't need to son I don't need to so take Aim yes h on threes You Know It uh that is basically all you got all auto okay so we need to you need to bought these dice I haven't done anything to them we're an element they'll have a salt bath um so uh ruing on a uh three no so five ruins five runs sir no I do have five Marines do you want to roll these di uh I I mean I don't mind but I've got my own one so I don't want to get the mixed up between us um so uh this will be four ups for me because um I'm a three- up save but I inan cover will be a tour but then you well you can't get two but then the bath is AP minus two so yeah okay uh so I've lost two marines oo split Splat split Splat and I am I'm slow you're slowed I'm slow so I'm going to get get rid of uh fisty man and I'm going to get rid of um I'm going get rid of uh spew man I should still be okay for CER Andy there it's 48 PL uh plasma isn't it it's 36 36 that's the front of my model easy he's in he's in Easy Peasy okay can you see me from there just with the angle of the building think I can see from the the tip of the track can you see this track yes I think you're right you are you're absolutely in no if you say I'm not I'm more than happy no no you're in definitely no dramas it was just a it just an angle for cuz I was looking at that earlier G maybe maybe no you def you're definitely in right cool so D6 plus three shots D6 plus three here we go it's only five five got my lucky di e right no take aame here no take five to hit cuz of smoke not that it matters matter you have moved though though you now need five to wound oh were you overcharging by the way uh yeah I suppose was point it's only one dice you roll for it so it's uh yeah so one wound uh this will be AP minus uh three so it become AP minus two so it'll be a fort save I make it I'll just double check you not ap4 but we know I roll a four we can always CCT off camera if we need toe that uh what's your whole weapon plasma plasma and the sponsons so sponsons is plasma hole last Canon last Cannon okay so do the last Cannon next Miss and then 2d3 for the plasma so that's one and three yes that's four nice and average it's two HS two H and five to wound not a wound and hazardous no so you're okay it's got the it's got the extended plasma vents whatever the all used to be overheated it just it didn't give a crap hold off on the H kill you're going to hold off hold off this turn um is actually all you're shooting that that is all my shoo is very very poor two marines plasma and then just because it's a crapload of Bolter shots and we know what a crapo of Bol shots does uh we unloaded into the G over here off camera with the Terminators actually did 16 wounds and Josh was on a four up save so cystically he should have passed those but he rolled badly I think it's because you didn't say in his name I as a result uh the emperor was like oh it's not my name so no and we're exposed the middle of the board against a guard gun line a position that I always advise people not to be in when they play against guard and yet I have just done it myself but will the flies which then puts you onto a minus one so I cancel you out and then I hit you with the minus one so It's Tricky but it ain't over yet we've uh you you've all you've really done is set me up to now knock me down we going the gig blob next we are indeed okay so you will have a command Squad I imagine you got three you got three plasma two plasma guns and one of the command Squad yes so that will R rolling everything rolling everything so you've got two hits so well one hit and an exploding hit and you have to roll both of those and you've got three so it's like you never missed it's like you never missed and this is when you're not hitting on threes when I was hitting on threes I was rolling like three Mel guns and getting like five hit it was insane so threes to wound rolling no rerolls a CP you have one if you spend it now you won't have reinforcements I need it for reinforcements you need it for reinforcements that's not good not ideal now uh do you have a grenade launch in the with a war boss I just put down two blobs delete 10 or it was just in it was just I was picking up a th000 points in my turn two sometimes like it was like turn two sometimes turn three but just Haring the enemy's Army in one go that's so powerful now You' still got some more shooting you've got your tank commander and you've got your uh rwn now which one are we doing first which one would you which one do think I should it makes no difference it's entirely up to you let's go for the DOR why not okay so the DOR will have have Take Aim but that basically gets canceled out but fortunately you don't go I you go you go back to hitting minus one overall do I not get plus one for the Heavies as well CU they stay still it's not got heavy heavy the heavy rule doesn't really happen on vehicles outside of artillery yeah uh it's mostly if you're like an infantry weapon you get heavy if you're a tank weapon it doesn't find it heavy even it's the same weapon same all drama so your Dawn ability for the dawns uh at the dawn on the Tank Man to get me uh I might rejig these guys slightly because there might be an angle across there which I don't want to indulge but I'll do that off camera if I have to um and uh what I'm hoping to do this turn is basically delete Sten and his blob and delete the ogin and their Chimera and then delete that LE Ross over there and then if I'm very lucky I get a cheeky long distance charge delete those Guardsmen if I get all of and also with my guys inside here and this land Raider and the Rhino I'm hoping that I'll be able to kill these five if I get all of that then I've effectively halfed that side of the board now there would be reinforcements coming in but I'm not so worried about some unsupported catachan um and it does basically in a funny sort of way puts huge pressure on the guy because their home objective starts being threatened uh and once this bit is cut off I can potentially start sweeping down here we're go we're almost turning this into hammeron Anvil rather than dawn of War um so that is the that's the plan we'll see if it goes off let us start with a bit of shooting and what we're going to doting what we're going to do we're going to do some shoting dare I say it and we are going to shoot I think this it doesn't actually matter so much this land Raider is going to shoot it heavy Bolter and it's uh heav Bolter it's Havoc launcher and it's Combi Bolter it's into these guys and it's going to shoot its four last cannons into the tank over there now you won't be getting cover from here cuz I can see you perfectly from the tip of my track that's what she said wa it's three hits I don't four hits I don't mean to alarm you it's two wounds uh two five UPS n right one is going to go through it doesn't matter what I roll you've only got two WIS left we'll do it for for public opinion seven uh it doesn't matter about deadly demise we've got our first engine kill uh then we're going to go for the heavy Bolter down here took a couple of turns but we got it we got there oh I tell you what just a little side note I really like land Raiders for death guard because it solves you two problems one long range anti tank and in a in a in a meta of vehicles and monsters that's very important and two Transportation yeah it's more expensive than a rhino of course it is but it brings the other thing to the party which is actual Firepower which you need which you need so heavy Bolter I got two hits and I got uh two wounds uh this will be a mass one you are unfortunately you are exposed across his line so that will be FIV two sa GK uh we've got a Havoc launcher she's going to get three shots with blast uh three hits uh two wounds two four UPS two come on boys oh man I was hoping might not I don't think he's going to die now I don't think he's going to die you say it no they're going to die uh we've got the only a Combi ball here uh one hit one wound we did get one get one we did get one basic rifl man yeah basic Rifleman is going to go Jeremy Jeremy's gone uh in a similar vein we'll do everything from this rhino into here so we've got the uh two comie bolters uh one lethal hit cuz I am a it's a plague Bolter and and two more wounds so that will be three wounds in total that's going to be two more down two more down pleas time the boys please uh so someone who's not on point ah so you have to lose a Mel gun or a sergeant M gun okay all right we stay on that point we stay on that point and then we've got the the Havoc so we did the last time was Havoc launcher for the land Vader so we've done the C Ball now we've got the Havoc launcher for the uh for the Rhino that's five shots uh and that is uh three uh hits and no wounds right now I've got two plasma shots from the actually it's a 10 man squad there I've got two blight launchers that are going to shoot out the top fair enough the tray die by the tray so they all hit and then we got two wounds uh these are at least some AP so roll and if you roll any fives we'll check you don't so do die so we do get them which is good see I told you I keep it's the blight launcher cuz I can shoot anything out the top of it I've got two blight launchers so as well why not um so that's we've cleared out two little bits there that's good uh we're going to shoot everything from this land Raider everything into the chera uh yes so we'll go for the uh four l canons not in the tray so four hits that's good good hitting uh not in the tray oh only only one wound ap3 so six up save no no that's six damage okay six damage uh and then we've got uh the heavy Bolter which all hits rrolling as a twin link no wounds Havoc launcher one shot hits and does wound so three up save just go through and then comi Bolter uh two hits one wound you're okay how many wounds have we got so you should have taken seven seven in total you have three left sweet uh I don't think I don't think they come with Hunter killers on land Raiders I'll just double check so that's a little unfortunate I was hoping to crack open that chimer so I can then gun down the OG inside but uh it's not to be so instead we're going to come over to this infantry Squad here this uh this big Squad of play now I've got a plasma gun and a Plasma Pistol from the Talan that can uh see the uh Chimera and I've got everything else which can go into the Infantry Squad so that's what we're going to do so we'll start off with the plasma gun for the officer for the sergeant now we are going to overcharge it oh good job it's not uh it's good job it's not a ninth Edition range it's pretty good so that will be four wounds in total at least something if roll sixes you did roll six five out of five so we'll just double check what it is so we checked and it is AP1 so one guy did live uh We've then got two plague spewers oh 10 hits that's that's tasty that's that's something yeah that's eight 10 oh uh yeah so fail fail but all of those are going to go through uh oh I think I rolled one too many then but it's um I'll just take one one more extra out just to be fair uh I accidentally picked up an extra green eyes eight eight at minus one so 8 six up in his name seven die seven die so that's 10 God in total uh We've then got the two plasma guns which weren't on the sergeant no need to overcharge these uh they all hit H three more will die so you'll be down to seven so that's two black launches two uh plages spewers two uh plasma guns that just we've got the two guys with heavy weapons which have just got plague bolt pistols and then we've got uh I think we've got three plague bolt pistol left that's it which all hit and all wound there you go so three uh no no AP so three five Ups three three more day so not many left that should be chargeable now what I'm going to do is I'm just going to check my range here cuz I might be able to do some grenades on you oh so I am within 8 in so I can uh throw grenades I have to take my CP off me so I'm looking for I've got six Dice and I'm looking for uh a couple of four UPS in order to get the M wounds I need to destroy the Chimera only just but we did get it do I explode do you explode explosion no it's a it's an it's an old school chera they built them different back in the day you know it ain't it within three in of the so you can disar within 3 Ines make cuz you probably want to charge me I would like to charge you indeed yeah so if you go there it makes it very difficult for me to charge you you could go back but I can still shoot with these guys but the thing is if you go behind the wall you make it easy for me to charge you so it's kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place choose whether you want me to shoot the ogrin or charge the O basically yeah let's go over here why not okay go nice that's nice and the Chimera is gone as me and that's uh no one on that home objective now which is uh do you want to have the ogens on there if the oans go there they're probably going to get shot to death yeah in total honesty so I think I think putting them on there as a trap yes that would be my yeah I'm going to get no uh no yeah that's no primary the only thing is you could put the ogan on there and hope that I mess my shooting up but I'm hitting on twos so I don't think I will it's not looking good um it's not looking good boys but it's okay it's okay guarder A turn four spell but it might I might r a one and do D3 wounds to myself don't fancy doing that rather um rather beat the crap out of this G Squad frankly uh so that speaking of which we come go to our charges now now tyers can't fail his charge and there's no advantage to him some of you thinking why not stay on the objective he's he's he's not going to be around next turn he might as well go out and a blaz of Glory actually speaking of which he's going to a blaz of glor he's going to die anyway least the Destroyer Hive here we go I didn't roll a one five mortal wounds on that Squad please okay it was actually worth it uh Ty is going to charge in after us he's going to make a charge no matter what but we do have a charge here from this unit of plague Marines and they are going to charge uh the OG that are behind that now we pre-measured off camera and it's a 6in charge see see is it's a lot it's a charge that I need and I get it every time time you started to see my Simon is so salty these days he didn't used to be salty before he started doing batt that's not true he's always been salty H and then for the sake of it we got Ty to charge which makes it as well so uh we'll go in here Ty is going to try and beat the crap out of you uh and then we'll move the plague Marines in off camera and we'll do we'll do their attacks we'll do both attacks cuz it might be quite interesting to see what they can do so we're coming over we're going to start with the plague first now I actually had a tally man on the board at the beginning of the uh turn and I could get actually and actually would be helpful now so we see if we roll a seven plus no so I no no abely not so that means I'm not going to spend my CP for I think it's sanguinous flux which gives me uh sustained hits anyway going on to the um onto the attacks we've got the uh the sergeant with a PL with a bubo weapon and we've got a man with a bubo weapon so that will be eight attacks and I'm hitting on twos cuz Itali man does help you in combat that's everything uh that's lethal and that's basically anything plague is lethal uh this will be forced to wound cuz you're toughness five now cuz of contagion so that will be uh that many saves now you will be at ap2 so that's going to go straight through your armor you get six and feel no pain here we go in gu's name oh one one but you've got three win each so one guy dies so one guy dies then we've got on my end I've got uh two heavy play weapons these hit on threes so one miss one lethal and then they were wounding on threes but that's only two more these will go straight through they're two damage each big guys name so you need to do another one cuz two damage each so he dies looking good and then I've got a a crapload of plague knives U so but these aren't going to hit you so good so it's one two 3 4 5 six guys play KN so a lot of attacks we'll do this off camera and we'll see if the OG is Left Alive sadly the Ogen could not quite make it he gave it a good go though did I tried you had eight five up saves to make you passed four of them you just needed a double six and you didn't quite get it he got one but not the other and so unfortunately the OG did go down I powered into the Gman uh yes I I mean I can't fight them but and they do get free hits on me but I'd rather the Guardsman got a round of beets on me than a round shooting on me with their reinforcements uh death guard could find themselves getting ground down but we'll have to find out going into guard turn three turn three for his Imperial Guard the Giga blob has moved over to delete typhus tyus is victim moved onto the objective to hold that uh We've then got uh the rogal dawn has moved forward so that it can see the land Raider and it can also just thread the needle we've double triple checked this even the gentleman's agreement he can absolutely thread the needle uh through uh through to that my intention wasn't actually to hide and there was an easy line through so you can see me easy peasy my intention was to get I could have stopped that if I hadn't gone forward but I wanted to go forward so there you go that is completely fine um and the the tank commander stay still cuz he can see the plague Marines back there what he can see from the back of plague Marines and the B stay still and the canes falling back and the creers they're being bold they're being bold they're coming forth trying to bring this play down every play Green that goes down doesn't come back and uh turn four turn five you'll have the number of Advantage so it could make a difference uh so we'll do um we'll do the big stuff off camera little stuff off camera so where do you want to G Squad gig Squad into tyus now I would recommend Take Aim here cuz I'm not on an objective I will agree so there you go uh so you will have if you bring the dice TR just back to the middle uh you will have three Mount guns hitting on twos re rolling ones sustained hits uh yes they all hit sustained hits dawn into the tanks I think what you're struggling with here is um you need a bit more AP bit more bit fi more fields of fire L exterminator that would that would that would do the job nicely um we've see that there are 20 more infantry here surely those are the guys that came out with reinforcements right well actually oh actually no cuz that's those 20 over there so what what happened over here Josh so mod gave me some very Stellar advice my L is like right I need to fit two demolish cannons into this list so this L I'm going through my list I go I've got three three 10man squads of cins in here but I've also got another 20 man in here but I combined to the three squads about two 20 man additional 20 man squad so long story short you've been playing the first two turns 20 man down yes lambas this man lambath him now fortunately in a strange Quirk of Fate it has actually uh made we have we haven't it hasn't made a huge difference because they could have just been in reserve this whole time yes and they've come in so three yes and we shot them yes so nothing was been no excellent the only problem is is it has had a huge impact on your game because you would have been able to scream me out would have caused operation car park over there to be more successful than it actually was yeah this it it definitely could delayed me for another turn yes which would have been ideal but we live we learned we die gloriously in his name and it is also quite amusing it is it's funny it is hilarious these things happen oh the funny thing is it does remind me of a story and I have said this before on stream of uh one of my good friends called jez who went an entire it was a it was back in like six seven maybe eightth he went an entire six round GT and forgot 500 points for the Terminators every single game he had them in his case by the by the last game he was even getting them out and putting them on the side and they just kept going to turn four and he forgot and it was quite a competitive shark tanky GT so he just played down and uh he still went three and three all right man absolute Giger chard uh so that that is a fun bit of a funny moment but we have sort of caught it at the last opportunity last opportunity and hopefully it will now give you some last minute reinforcements to try and hold the line a bit longer doubt it doubt it yeah it's that was not looking good boys memes aside and this aside that was not the turn that you needed uh these guys did no damage these guy these creers with plasma and everything didn't do a single wi and that was against these infantry which they were hit on thre it was hitting normally it was just and then the Rogue all Dawn struggling to crack the armor I got a wound you got a wound on a stubber the only thing that really mattered was tyers went down you have assassinates that is some points some points but it's not what you needed and I do fear that there is now roughly 20 plague Marines here a brown tide just going to come through yeah it's like me after a night on the curry and beer the brown tide is going to emerge let's go into death guard turn [Applause] four death guard turn four and it's going to be a summary turn it's getting a bit busy at the old element with the background noise so we're just going to do summaries for turn four and turn five and uh for the death guard it was a brutal brutal turn dozens and dozens of Guardsmen uh cut down we brought the Rhino over here this rhino with play Marines moved here and the play Marines uh got out and uh they Unleashed Unholy death uh into these play these cast out here wiped them out we then moved these plague Marines around to here uh between shooting and then charging we wiped the death core c out and that was in combat and they're not coming back so 20 cat are coming back but that's it there was then a unit of 10 C cadians that were there which were gunned down by the flag greens who then charged into the uh forgotten Catan and we didn't quite wipe them out we did Kill 12 of them they did pass their battle shock test at the beginning of guard turn four though we just did that off camera uh so uh they will actually continue to hold that objective good land and they also blocked me from getting to the basilis yes uh the last thing is my land Raider came over here and uh charged in I tried to kill the tank commander but he used smoke used my own trick against me uh I charged into the sil didn't kill any of them but I did that to get my objectives because one of them was engage on all fronts um the other one was defend stronghold which I can't I couldn't get cuz I couldn't get onto the objective but I'll be able to get that next turn and that's fine so that's death guard turn uh four uh we're going to go to guard turn four uh it's looking a bit dicey uh the Giga blob has been tied up so that's not going to be able to help you this turn Creed's blob is badly injured uh the only unit coming back is going to be catachan uh and then your your your vehicles are somewhat intact but your basist did take a few LZ cannons and is alive on Five Wounds uh the guard running out of assets and the death guard uh storming from we we we took the Left Flank and now we're storming over into the middle we may and we're threatening the enemy HQ we may even start getting pushing the guard back into a into a little corner we'll see what we can do the guys still have their Firepower though they've got their Dawn and they've got their tank commander and theyve got their basilis and a lot of the death guard infantry is exposed now so I may have hit the guard hard they may hit me back even harder though we'll have to see you're not convinced I'm not convinced you're not convinced I'm not convinced not not with my ice rolls um well we'll see we'll be back with a summary of guard turn four summary turn for his Imperial Guard the line is bending not broken yet it's not breaking it's holding you fell back with your infantry over here yes the Basilisk then proceeded to uh fire into there but unfortunately uh didn't get any results no and then you put your um basilisk into the guys down here but one but you didn't get any do you not get any you didn't get any and the reason is is I passed my saves and you were you are now in Contagion R so even with Take Aim you're hitting on bad on fors um your R Dawn stay still and its main weapons didn't do great but the heavy stubbers and heavy BS actually did very very well and cut down four and a half plague Marines quite quite badly reducing that Squad uh and then this tank commander moved over to here to get investigate signals you were oming and aring about whether you wanted to go for the kills or the points but in the end you were like do the thing this is a tournament you'd go for the points all that kind of stuff uh the Scions uh fell back into cover Creed unit just took cover and then scon themselves onto that objective and then the 20 Catans came in over here and also investigated some signals you did get rid of storm hostile objective yes um I think was probably I think that was the right thing I don't think you would have realistically got it um and you you had engage which you also managed to get for uh three points so you focus on the points and between sort of you've got you've got a few points in the bag this turn and you've actually you've actually narrowed the lead where going into turn five the death guard are only 10 points ahead now considering you went second and how swingy and influential uh to going second could be it's not over for the guard not over till fat lady sings I mean who what does it matter if you have lost wave upon wave of Gman if you come away with with the points at the end that is the way the guard wins games in tough situations let's see if the death guard can deliver one big hammer blow keep the guard back get some points and try and squeak the victory but there is definitely a chance where the guard could snatch they could snatch victory for the Jaws defeat we'll see what happens in summary death guard turn four five death guard turn five summary we did quite a lot of work there the land Raider got a tempting Target for one of my secondaries Josh of course picked this objective because there's no point in giving me three points the land Raider came back here and it between it shooting and its tank shock uh it was able to get rid of the squad Creed is alive but it got rid of the squad uh and so I have oc6 as oc1 and I was able to get my 10 to Target uh shall I reinforce CAD bring back point I don't know if you have the CP and we'll check that later because you use smoke did and that means you wouldn't have had the CP um you'll have the CP you have you'll have two CP in your turn um and then moved everything uh mve the Rhino and the Marines over here shot into s it's a bit hard trying to kill s not going to lie so I killed like four of them but that was it normally these squads will be will decimate stuff but between the range the cover and the being and the feel of pain they were a bit more drawable these death guard being dirty traed titics that have no honor just hid we hid from the Rog go we want to hold that objective and that's it and then over here we shot and charged the Infantry Squad and the basist and were able to kill the squad and bring the Bist down to two wounds and then we shot everything from this land Raider into the uh the Catans of trying to um get them below uh get them below 10 so they might fail their battle shock which might screw them up uh over here but unfortunately I didn't kill enough and so as a result they are sitting around having a great time uh end of the death guard turn uh I've begun defending my stronghold over here uh and hopefully I will be able to keep defending it but there is a platoon of Scions the Giga blob which is going to do its level best to move over there and take that objective off me going to try you can try and clear it while shooting and deny me uh my defense stronghold or you can even try and move and Advance or move and assault me over there but either way it's going to be tricky cuz I'm just going to let you know now if you move over to here and Advance I'm going to OverWatch you and I can do it at the end of your move so it's going to be dicey it's going to be dicey either way uh but we'll see what the uh what the guard plan doing I have managed to open up quite a lead there but this is turn this is turn five this is going second let's see if the guard can claw back some points for victory and for Honor turn five for his Imperial Guard has ended and thus the game has also ended a lot of the Guard turn was advancing there was a lot of advancing and a lot of good advancing you rolled five and then a five then a five like just 5 by five not Number of the Beast number of the Guard uh this unit of C moved advanc 5 in uh they comfortably got loads onto the objective guys don't worry we just we just put them on there yeah we we knew that they had enough on there to to to get the OC so they snuck that objective away from me giving you three extra points you then uh moved moved moved and advanced and went 14 in or something insane uh and got to this objective which got you that objective cuz you're two 2 thanks to the totally legal rules as written flag medic man rules written it's alloud until the next FAQ um and that me you control that objective which got you another three points and you have a command squad on there so you empowered it so that's another three points the points were flying in try they were flying in then you uh had secure no man's land and you control that one and you control that one so you got another five victory points so that was three points there plus three plus nine uh plus six points there for nine points and then you um then you controled this objective at the end as well yes because you were able to I ran him back and uh he strategically retreated onto the point he's not an actual commissar so he can he can't fall back he fell back here and I just shot shot you off the point you shot me you shot the r door did something did something so um yeah those play greens when they're out of the Met boxes they're actually killable uh so you got that's another three points for you there so 12 points and then scers at 17 points piig swing but there were more points to be had yes so unfortunately I left Creed here in point because he needed to do an action he need to do cleanse and he's he's got pistols so he can cleanse whilst in combat exactly so my thought was doing there just survive one turn he's like he hasn't got any more wounds but came down to three rolls I had to make three five up you taken one wound from the tank shock last turn and you had had you three wounds left and I just had to try and fight you yes so I did I did three hits three wounds and you had three saves with a roll in the bag yes and a five up save as had a five up as well where's Creed Josh uh somewhere underneath your TR Creed unfortunately didn't make it which meant that he has you know been ground under the tracks which did cost you three points three points for cleans uh in total that did still mean you managed to get a very very um acceptable very very you know good 17 points in your final turn but unfortunately it wasn't quite enough nope with the uh death guard being able to defend their stronghold uh the final score uh ended up being I think it was 7578 to the uh to the death guard and the Imperial Guard had 65 points if You' got that it would have been uh 60 68 uh and bear in mind that if you'd got even with that being um even with that being uh being gone it still would have been like an 11 119 under the WTC score so it was a very very close game and the guard did what the guard did and they got loads and loads of points to the final turn I think it was just you just had a few cold turns on your dice I I had a few hot turns on on my saves and there was just the death guard all over you like a bad rash but dude fantastic game thank you so much man for coming down good to f after a year of anticipation we finally got it done and it was uh it was a ton of fun so we'll go straight into some final thoughts and so I just go straight over to Josh let us know what do you think about facing off against the death guard and um how did you feel the mission sort of went what would you change all that kind of good stuff so yeah so I'll go into how it's fighting death guard so I think having a mechanized death guard very very hot it worked really well I had the first two turns trying to damage your uh land Raiders I need more anti-tank I think but having that minus one to hit as well was massive the contagion plus it was having three sources of it with contagion tyers and smoke that was huge yeah absolutely but overall massive game the only thing I would probably change would be as mod already pointed out my main line battle tanks change them to demolishes give me that extra with my uh and tank I don't normally suggest the marshes but that's just a personal bias that I have against them because I can't roll damage RS to save my life but uh in your particular list without having to completely fundamentally reite it two de mares suddenly gives you a lot more weapons that are above strength 12 yeah uh which will make a big difference when you you come across someone who is running look you might say not many people are going to run two land Raiders but there's a lot of people that are going to run two toughness 12 units exactly imagine one of these is angron yes there you go and I probably maybe switch out the ogens and the fake taxi for a vanquisher and probably remember that I have more units to on the board the vanquisher it's not a great anti tank it's not a great unit but again it's 155 points and it is more and tank and even if the vanquisher isn't that useful it's 155 points for AZ Cannon and a bunch of plasma cannons or melter cannons or and a heavy St hunter killer the vanquisher is actually I see it is free you're taking it because it's a a Le rust that comes with it's a cheap Le rust basically oh yeah yeah and that would give you I think that wouldn't that wouldn't hugely hold your list but it would make it 10th appropriate yes that's the way I would look at it yeah absolutely maybe just switch around with squads a bit maybe take out the Forgotten unit and maybe change that to another death Craig unit offer yeah I swept anything Kaden swept as side anything katchan swept as side but those 20 kers I had to shoot and charge every other unit I did one or the other exactly which me I could double when there was like two near each other I could double them I could shoot one down charge the other and sweep through yeah creers are they they're more more expensive but they last a lot longer I uh for me myself I I thought that the game went a lot differently to the way I expected it to um bear in mind that this is not matter they the only matter thing in this entire Army list is two rhinos with play greines in and even then the play greines have got not two fiveman squads which most people put two fiveman squads um well they take four fivan squs put them in two rhinos was just two 10 man squads and I don't see anyone taking tman or anything like that it's all morari and this plague B call or that but the two Rhino squads were very cheap and very fast and I really enjoyed those um and the land Raiders actually performed much much better than effected I think they were obviously in a good position here with the um with the lack of well not the lack of an tank but not a huge amount of an tank you still had you still had you still had a dawn which could do good at tank work you still had lots of you still had lots of melters and whatnot um you just weren't getting those fives unfortunately and also you were struggling to hit with all of the the negatives um looking back at this uh you know reflecting on this I Pro if I knowing what I know now and knowing what would have been in your list I would have I did Tone this down a little bit because it was going to have two more tanks in it which I think would have been just two this was too much and knowing what I know now to try and make it a bit more of a like a not so frustrating for you cuz I could tell there a few times when you just like slinging shots and stuff and even when you finally got those hits and it wasn't doing anything I would definitely have taken one of the L Raiders out and if I if I and I put something else in maybe even just like just like a couple of like lighter like maybe still vehicles but like float drones or blight haulers which are like the equip of Sentinels you K yeah you can kill Sentinels every day of the week kind of thing so yeah that's I would definitely say on my part a little bit of a a little bit of a miscalculation there uh CU I do always try and uh make the lists when you know when we're playing these Community games I don't want someone to turn up and you know have a and have not not I don't care about winning or losing but have a frustrating game so for me I probably would tone this down like a little bit uh but I still but just taking that to one side and looking at this from like a competitive point of view Mech death guard is wild yes yeah it's it gives you the drawability that you don't normally have as death guard which is a sad thing to say in 10th but it's true give you the speed don't normally have which is a sad you which is very normal for death guard and the way contagion Works um you get into the mid board and suddenly everything's contaged like just everything around you is just minus want to hit and speaking of that minus want to hit that minus want to hit agan is insanely powerful I've used death about three or four times um in 10th to this point I've always gone for the X-ray Peak I I was using a lot of bols I trying that whole like kind of lethal hit people to death and that just that was okay but it wasn't that powerful switching over to the m one hit I noticed immediately that is a whole different game and uh yeah I think the combination of having some very durable uh vehicles with access to lots of minus one was uh was very very powerful so I definitely keep that in mind I actually really enjoyed running this list as well and would certainly consider uh taking it take it to a tournament even it just to do a cheat you know if I had like got like a little RT and I can squeeze in an extra after action report it would be fun to take a a death guard Army and uh and see and see see how I can test my hand with them but they were they were a lot of fun from my perspective they were a lot of fun to use and uh they felt they felt like they felt like guard and they felt like Marines because they felt tough which is like death guard and they felt Elite which is like what Marines should feel like um and yeah I really enjoyed it one thing if I was take to a tournament where I think it would where it would get it would get smashed uh if I went against Space Marines with iron storm cuz they just they take those Gladiators and just be like pop pop pop Po and I'm like oh suddenly I'm not so tough yeah so I'm not I'm not going into this you know I'm not not coming away like oh got amazing unbeatable I think they're powerful but they're still definitely uh there still definitely things that can counter them uh but but
