Not sure if the older members of this sub will agree it should be here but this takes me instantly back to a time in my life and friendships and pop culture and politics that feels like living on a different planet from where we are now. Especially with social distancing this made my heart ache to be back in a crowd feeling that pulsing beat together. I wouldn’t even call myself an EDM fan but it’s had such a remarkable imprint on my life, be it Deadmau5 eerie chord progressions or Avicii passing and it hitting me like a ton of bricks how much his music helped to motivate me through workouts and the pain I was experiencing at the time.
