Daz Studio Custom Character - Using Morphs

hello everyone my name is Tommy welcome back to my channel see the ball place for your desk you do need to level up your dusted your skills in today's video we'll be looking at how to create unique characters so let's get to it okay so here we are in the wonderful dad Studio program and I've got my two figures here I've got Victoria 8 which is very very popular of seeing the dad store I've made a copy here on the right and what we're going to do is make changes to the right to see how you can create a unique character so all these materials here the hair the eyes the eyebrows and the makeup are part of the actual Victoria package that you buy from dusts with a dust or so and we can check that can go to we can go to smart content here you go to products I'm gonna go to figures scroll over to the bottom don't click here and then go to materials now just a quick note about materials we've got here something says RSL and MDL so RSL is for the 3d light engine 3d light render engine and MDL is for the IR engine IRA render engine only so what that means is you can't use RSL if you're using IRA which we're using so these materials won't work so we can filter that it's quite easy we just go to materials here and go to IRA and they were filtered so as you can see here these are all the materials that comes with you Tori 8 package the Victoria product so just to show you that this is why this is why it comes it and so now what we're gonna do now is how can we create unique characters so what can we do here so step one is to use your existing assets so I'm assuming you've already purchased hair accessories or some kind of makeup or eyes use those first you don't want to go and start buying extra things just to create a unique character use what you've got so step one use your existing assets so I'm gonna show you how we can do that so if I go back to my smart content go to files I'm gonna start with the hair first so I'm gonna go to Victoria ITA which is this one here Victoria - I'm gonna hide the hair which is here so here's heated I'm gonna go to my area in the small content library and I'm gonna choose different here so I could hop a bit I'm gonna choose this when he had the blade Hey okay so she's looking very different already with the hair so what else can we do with the hair we could change the color so I'm gonna go down yes let the hair smart contest me give me the materials for that hair so here we are gave me about the 3d liked and the IRA so we need to filter the Hat so we need to go to IRA here so we could choose any hair color we'll choose something quite drastic say pink here and there we go this figures already looking completely different so what else can we do we can change the eye color so if I click on Victoria top of the Victorian audio Victoria 8 and materials and make sure it's an IRA and then I'm gonna choose eyes now I've got lots of eyes because I've got lots of coaches you may not but do the best you can with what existing assets you already have so we've got all these different eyes and we can choose when they're really crazy and probably go for something like this see what happens there we go she's got some really unique eyes day so what else can we do so if she looks completely different now to the one on the left we could probably change the makeup now what I recommend for the makeup is you go to the actual product and then change the makeup using that so we go back to smart content we go to products back to my Victoria 8 I'm gonna go down here to the makeup section and we can choose something else so I can choose this makeup here apply the makeup and there we go so we've got a different makeup with our different eyeliner there so one other thing you can do is obviously change the lipstick so if I go back to my files materials and then go back to IRA and I scroll down we've got some lipstick options here so as I keep going down different lipstick options so I go back to top and just you something let's go for something a bit crazy let's try yeah let's try purple alright so there we go so step one use the existing assets or view of my existing assets I've changed the hair change the hair color change the hair under hair color change the eyes of applying makeup and I've applied the lipstick color and now she looks completely different to the one on the left do you agree sure you do great okay so how can we create unique characters so step two is that to use the face warps so if we go to the - do to your store this is we're gonna have to have fortunately buy something to create those really unique characters so we go back here and we do a search for face morphs face morphs for genesis 8 I assume using Genesis 8 characters if not just do a search for Facebook's and you've got all these ones here so we've got one for female and we've got one for males so if for example if I click on this one here we'll just open that in a new tab there it is and if we just have a look at these images here to see the unique face morphs you couldn't do unique characters you can create so I can you know you can really go to some detail here and how you want your character to be and even if we go out to for example this one here now what does this one look like looks very very similar to Victoria severed in it because of the hair and even this bear here the chisels come inside Victoria right sorry this looks like very very similar here with the hair and everything succeed they've alternate using these more styles to create this unique look so if you really want to create very very unique character he's gonna have to buy a face ball now the one I've got is 200-plus this one here so it's very similar to the previous one you've got loads of option that he can really really go down to great detail on changing things so I'm gonna go through that very very quickly so if I go back to the dust that's off to it so I forgot to parameters parameters I'm gonna go to Victoria 8 and we've gone actor then I go to head and then face so here are my options but Lord and Lord option because of all the morphs uninstalled so we can literally go start nice um you know crazy stuff really we can do the brow with here there's more browse to browse arch let's go away from Brad let's go to forehead forehead depths head flat to or heading dead so I mean he's literally Lord option with the morphs cheekbones big cheekbones in chibok death let's bring him in a bit more cheekbone size a bit masculine there but that's Mike so you can literally go through all these and and really you know create some crazy unique characters really let's see how that looks actually let's do oh yeah I read preview so there we go look in very very different now compared to this one on the left so I would say that's a very unique character okay so I'm just going to take off the text shading again because I'm gonna show you one more way you can do it so if we go to shaping tap yet I will see me with the existing characters you can go to the shaping tap and then we can go to Victoria 8 here and we want to go to the head head and we want to go to real world not sorry or people okay so Victoria ain't actor head and people and people so while with the New Year with all the existing characters you've already got you can actually use them office there so we can go through these and start actually adding some so we can go for example this one here Breann head I can start adding that might ease slightly change the only thing we can choose how much like a dial so we can choose how much of that kind of hair do you want to put in there so we can probably add Eileen eyes Lena Headey you can kind of do that as well so there's a bit of change there so if that's another way to do it so not only if you buy the morphs from the dash store if you've got existing characters if you go to the shaping tap you can use those listed characters or heads to create very very unique characters so here we'll add some of this there we go let's see how that looks now so it's got the eye right preview let's see how that looks hopefully not too horrifying and there because actually that doesn't look too bad so it's very very different now as you can see this the original what the Victoria 8 looks like and this is what we've done using our step 1 which using our existing assets and step 2 using the face morphs and using our shaping using our existing assets again with the shaping tab to really put these unique faces on this character here ok so what we can do now step 3 - Claire unique character is - this may sound a bit counterproductive but it's to buy a character that's not very popular so Victoria 8 is very very popular character so I'm assuming everybody's probably purchased that I'll be very surprised if you haven't purchased it it's kind of like they lead think that dad's trying to sell so what we had to do in that case to create a new character with Victoria 8 was to use our existing assets and use our face morphs and use our shaping to create this unique character on the right so if you go to the desktop and have a look at our female characters here say for example like this one here this one may not be popular how do I know it may not be popular because I've got this here this tells me there's only one gallery entry in the dads forum that someone's used sort of click on that we can see this is what someone you saw this one he's not very popular actually so maybe purchased this one and you know used that only one other person seem selves put that in the dads for him so maybe it's not very popular type to her and use that and therefore it's less likely for people to look at that character and say hey oh hey I know that it's a it's a Michael 8 oh it's a Victoria a - it's a what a mate so that's another way to do it so that's another way to have unique character step three is to buy a character that's not very popular right so they would have a three simple steps is to create unique character step number one use existing assets in your content library step number two make sure users face morphs and step number three by characters from the dad store that are not popular and in next week's video we'll be looking at post work techniques so anyway for that video make sure you check out these videos here make sure you hit the subscribe button leave a comment down below and give this video a thumbs up and I'll see you in that next video
