Days of an Elite EP10 The final run! Lake Fork

well here we go it's the last derby of the year just got to survive and advance on this one this is what this week is about catching enough to stay in the classic we get something figured out during the day then we'll hustle to try to make a run at making the top 10 here but first off we gotta try to get one in the box definitely gonna be a battle today get that classic made i'm in decision making making time right now just trying to figure out what i need to do oh i can i can be way better it's a matter of doing it this is unbelievable i'm gonna leave but i was kind of nervous to the fact that this is how this could go a little bit [Music] [Music] [Music] that's what we needed yes finally that's the classic fish hmm yeah i don't know i'm gonna go back in there again i feel like it's been a good day better than any day i had in practice bite wise or weight wise i know it's lake fork and i don't have a very big bag but i'm pretty happy with the way the days go and all i'm missing is one big one i mean and that could be you know that's any cast here so confident for sure got enough time to get get it done just need that bite two twelve got it yeah baby that's that's so good you don't even know how happy i am that's it gotta go that was a great great great one-pound cull explain to your son we don't have fish to take up there no buddy we weigh them out here we i told you this the only time you bring one in is if it's this big literally this big and i didn't catch one that big [Applause] today 14 pounds even and that's going to keep you in the mix and i know you've had success here on this body water in the past i'm sure you're looking forward to the weekend yeah i'll tell you what it's fishing really different it's definitely slow everybody knows that but it's just different i mean i've been here a lot of times but never this exact time of the year and uh it's definitely going to take some getting used to fishing this time of year i was very fortunate to catch what i had today i did lose one decent one but that's the story here with all these stumps and stuff so i'm definitely looking forward to getting back out there and trying to catch 20 tomorrow look forward to seeing you back here take off from the morning series let's bring our next angler for marie how you doing how are you doing good taylor good luck thank you [Applause] we uh i'd call that surviving we came out and did what we needed to do i think we got the classic made now which was the first and foremost important thing to do today was to catch a few fish to get the and in the process we caught us a few decent ones and moved up inside the top 40 cut so far it's gonna be tough to maintain that just because fishing pressure mainly but did it one day now if we can do it one more day and make the top 40 then we could really do some something different to maybe make a run at the top ten so i'm just pleased with the way the day turned out being able to catch a limit and a couple good ones in the process hey well here we are day two oh first goal has been accomplished making the classic that was that was the biggest thing just catching a couple fish the first day we did that actually caught more than i expected to catch had 14 pounds so looking good we're in 28th a few pounds above the cut line so we just need to go catch another limit i think you know the weight's probably going to go up just because it's fork and guys kind of figure things out but i feel like today for me the goal is to catch another limit to stay in that top 40 and then once i get five then i can change up and go try to look for those big ones i think you kind of got to fish smart tomorrow if i can make the cut today and tomorrow i can totally you know go for trying to catch 30 pounds but today i really need to try to catch another solid limit it's a giant i'm gonna stay right where i'm at for now all right six five right there baby i told you yes the other day dilly willie i'd catch one right here yeah i'm pumped up about that oh he munched it too [Music] problem is i think these places are just you get you catch one and that's it you know what i mean i don't think they're schooled up [Music] just got to catch those big aggressive ones that's the deal they're just ones and twos you know timing is [Music] key [Music] oh [Music] oh my goodness that's a giant [Music] them two almost weighed as much as yesterday two 7 13. thank you never felt him i just picked up and i thought i was on that limb and i just held it and i was like i don't think that's a limb [Music] two five [Music] i can't tell if those are bass and i know that one was i don't think those are bass look at that [Music] well we made it to day three it's a last tournament of the year here at fork and i didn't know what i could catch this week it was a really tough practice like all these fall tournaments have been but this one was extremely tough i feel good about being able to catch 14 yesterday and 16 today with three fish i had two big ones today but that's the name of the game here and you know it's gonna take five tomorrow to get in the top 10 which is doable i just got to get five good bites tomorrow so just gotta hunker down be thankful for the ones i've caught hopefully we can make the adjustments we need to to get five good ones in the box and have a stab at the top 10 to finish the year out so lake borko has been good to me over the last few years and making the top 40. feels good so see what we can do tomorrow well we made the day three cut pretty excited about that it was a tough tough practice for for lake fork this week but uh managed to catch three giants yesterday or two giants and another keeper yesterday just inside the top 20. i know we've got a lot of work to do today to make the top 10 but this lake is one of those that it can happen here if anywhere so i know where the big ones live i just got to get five of those in the boat that's the hardest thing this week is getting the limit of bites oh yeah never even felt him bod it was weird they're biting in the morning man on this crank bait i don't know why it's so much better in the morning but it is we got to keep moving though run them fast oh it's early [Music] oh white bass [Music] oh no not that big i thought he was bigger he's still good at this time of year this time of year is it one of those deals you just have to keep covering new water oh yeah there's i just i haven't even graphed this spot all week skinny but he's keeper give me two something two five i don't know [Applause] drops 21 pounds and nine ounces on the scales today give them 52 pounds even moves into seventh place in this tournament and uh man a lot of great memories here at lake fork over the years and uh gonna make some memories up the road in fort worth after a great season yeah i tell you what i've truly been blessed this year and uh you know coming off of what i call a slow start to the season when we started these fall tournaments i was super super nervous about it but it looks like i'm gonna go three for four for top ten so i can't complain with that at all but uh the lake was good to me today i caught another one almost eight pounds still nodding over which is crazy but uh it's it's fishing pretty tough but i'm just having a good time and just trying to be better each and every day and try to up that weight and i just need to get a couple more of those big ones tomorrow and you know i don't know if i can come back and win this thing i don't know if that's possible but i'm going to go catch everything i can just have a good time great finish and i want to congratulate you in a great season and it also looks like i say this real quick my family's here they've been down here to support me but my son told me before takeoff this uh the first morning of the term he said dad if you make the top ten i get to push you in the lake and i was like sure whatever and i hate cold water so it looks like i'm going swimming after weigh-in tomorrow i can't wait yeah thanks for coming out it's gonna be fun thanks for being here let me run that with you i wasn't gonna say a word not they that deal again i do not feel good about it at all matter of fact i'm already dreading that lenny's pushing you you in i'm pushing my dad in what'd you say don't make deals with your dad yep don't
