[Music] Beautiful People welcome back to another airline Vlog for those who are new pilot Pete 767 first officer and uh this trip starts with a dead head my personal favorite to JFK so I'm already here got here early and it all worked out the plan's already loaded we're about uh 45 minutes till push I did bring my golf clubs with me which is kind of nice on flying my company because I get to just bring the clubs with me load them into the bulk and I don't want to check a bag or anything like that it's super super convenient but today's trips we got layovers uh technically JFK even though I S a day just at home yesterday and today we fly to Memphis first leg second leg Milwaukee Third Leg unprecedented but you got to do what you got to do we're going to Chicago for a layover and then Chicago again before we head to our golf trip to Florida down to Tampa area so as always want to come along for the ride let's go do it so this is how check luggage works I just bring my own bag bring it back to the airplane think it's loaded on so don't have to worry about putting it on the long conveyor belts in the airport you just bring it right to the plane and uh get to your destination that easy [Music] oh n [Music] headed down the blues for arav arrival axle speaker and then our bottom out to copit 10,000 for vector's ILS one8 LIF [Music] just landed in Memphis good flight now I got a golf bag so getting the belt loader out here so I can retrieve my checked luggage golf bag secured now going to head into the AOC so our next flight to Milwaukee and Chicago as do it just landed in Memphis Tennessee like I said earlier uh easy flight pretty bumpy though flight level 320 on our way to Memphis from JFK uh Great Captain and we had two jump seaters as well and a boatload of cargo and got my golf bags which can kind of stink sometimes when you land in the hub it can take a while for them to get your clubs to get the belt loader but they were on it so I appreciate that for all the rampers that uh are out there working hard we appreciate it very much so so in the Sleep room now my little twins siiz bed for my 6 four legs suitcase going to change out of the pilot uniform I got about uh 2 hours 45 until showtime for my next flight two legs unprecedented but we got to do what we got to do we're going Memphis Milwaukee Milwaukee Chicago for a quick layover in Chicago this trip so yeah going to go hit a workout get some food come back shower on the go baby [Music] ladies and gentlemen good afternoon from the ramp in Memphis Tennessee just got out to the airplane got a pre-flight to 767 first leg today uh actually second leg today I guess is uh Memphis to Milwaukee I'll be P Flying just met with the captain briefed the flight went over to the weather the MLS and and chit that a little bit blown with him before great guy and they're just starting to load the sort or the uh loading of the packages is about an hour delayed right now so just got out the airplane we're going to be a little little bit delayed I'm sure and uh yeah she rolling with the punches as you can see some dark clouds over there it's actually drizzling a little bit here in Memphis so we're hoping that none of that affects our flow and Milwaukee couldn't be a big deal and then the last two trips I've been on I've had legs into Chicago and I got screwed going into O'Hare I mean one I had to RT to the weather and one was like a 4our ground sit so fingers crossed has not happen to me today just over an hour and 46 minutes to Milwaukee I think it's what Milwaukee known as the cheese curd City I don't really know what is it known as let me know but 146 I'll see you there so here's a look at what the empty 767 looks like before all the containers are loaded up they just open up the main cargo deck door and they're about to start loading it so show you real quick how far it goes back and then from the cargo deck onto the main Flight Deck through this little trap door off runway 1A right out of Memphis today via the jetty 5 Arnav departure so it's an lmav lateral navigation departure there are fixes with the parts the runway FMS will take us to Cheeto mud gaset emac then a big turn up to the north Houston Jetty odate nothing really pertinent in the notes speed restriction accelerate 250 that's what we do anyway in the 767 another big note is top altitude 5,000 so like I said we plug it into the FMS all the points are there and then it'll be an LM select the departure up to the top out [Music] 25,000 just landed Runway one left left in Milwaukee my leg my Landing pretty good not my best not my worst Gusty winds let's see what the uh AIS in Milwaukee is calling for send for that right now I believe the winds were like 020 at 19 gust 24 there it is 020 at 19 gust 25 so overall kind of down the runway not too bad and cold here in Milwaukee just to walk around chilly chilly chilly and like I said quick turn hopefully on the ground here for about 45 minutes until we're off to Chicago quick flight heading to Chicago they blocked it at 45 minutes but it won't be that long pretty much just a part here over Lake Michigan and then it's going to be vectors for the busy airspace of Chicago my leg to monitor next stop Windy City so our last flight we're a little heavier so speeds were a lot faster with an empty airplane you can see how much slower we rotate at than the normal 15 KN so it's based on [Music] weight just got to the hotel in Chicago O'Hare we're going to have a quick quick layover because we were delayed leaving Memphis they did turn us really quickly in uh Milwaukee so we made up a little bit of uh time there but then by the time you get off the plane Chicago o here biggest freaking airport there is we actually shot the ILS Yankee PRM to uh Runway 10 right so actually not too long the taxi but was pretty cool I wish I could show you guys but obviously I can't filmed below 10,000 there was a United plane right next to us a 737 land in 10 Center so an ILS PRM basically allows the airplanes to fly like right next to each other so you can see it happen in like San Francisco a lot Chicago and these other airports where the runways are super close it just allows them to get more airplanes in and out of uh Chicago so I said quick quick layover only about like 10 hours now so ordered food downstairs ready going to change out of the pilot uniform and then eat dinner bedtime so going to go quick because I want to get some sleep just finished dinner unfortunately it wasn't at Jordan giordan however you say it just got the hotel dinner cuz like I said super super quick layover and now I'm walking to uh 7-Eleven to grab a quick protein shake and yogurt for tomorrow cuz it's an early morning wake up I won't have time for breakfast or anything like that like they always put something in my body before I uh get on the plane stupid me as you can see I'm in a freaking t-shirt it's probably like 50° wind chill 43° in Chicago I'm so sick of the weather it's 96 Tampa which is what I packed for 50° and less here it's like I can't win so I didn't even bring a jacket so this will be my uh cold plunge for the evening no good no good good morning beautiful people from Chicago oare bright and early sun is shining still a little bit cold I think this is the Chicago winter about uh we're about to fly down to Memphis quick flight just pre-flight the 76 we're all good to rock and roll on the side of the airplane there every airplane jet aircraft you're going to see those tubular looking things are called pedo tube so air flies into there and that's where you get the information for air speed altitude vertical speed all that stuff it goes into these air data computers and spits back the information to us Pilots so they usually have covers on them before the flight takes off that maintenance takes off and on on the Jet right there if I zoom in you can probably see them on that aircraft to keep like bugs and birds and stuff out of there but every flight we got to check to make sure that there's uh no covers on them that there isn't any feed mins or damage to them because very very important instruments for us to go fly so 1 hour and like 25 minutes next stop Memphis pick the runway as we get the departure atus from Chicago as you can read here it says departures expect Runway 9 Center or 10 left from Delta Delta so I go back into the performage page of the FMS conditions select the runway 10 left intersection Delta Delta is a taxi way and that's all I got to do and then I'll send the information once we get our weight in Balance here's a chart of O'Hare massive airport with eight runways and then this is what they're talking about Runway 10 left and intersection Delta Delta so they shorten the takeoff Runway since most airplanes don't need all 13,000 ft it helps them to make it quicker get more planes off the ground by departing from the intersection so we're going to plan on taxing out here and DEP parting 10 left Delta [Music] Delta planning the ILS the 36 right into the Memphis our decision altitude of 535 632 [Music] traffic just landed Memphis Tennessee briefed the ILS to Runway 36 right as you guys saw on the plane but uh air traffic control gave us the option for Runway 27 basically shaves maybe like 5 minutes off off the flight so we accepted it heading um off the arrival kind of have to hurry down cuz it comes up quick briefed it real quick and then uh like a 7 6.8 Landing out of 10 on Runway 27 self criti of course but uh no easy peasy flight super early it's only 9:30 local here in Memphis so I got like 5 hours until my uh flight back to uh Milwaukee Chicago later today so plenty of time I feel good well rested last night so going to change out of the pilot uniform as always workout gear run and workout is the plan lunch and then yeah hang out till my next flight so uh let's have a little day over here Memphis all right like I said a couple hours between flights so not going to just sit in there and rot and to go move my body so we're going to go do a couple miles around this park wherever I am in Memphis and then uh get get some lunch at the gym got like I said about no now down about 4 hours but plenty of time get some work in cuz you already know it's nonnegotiable folks let's go just finished 5 miles in the books around the park good little run kind of struggled a little bit so I definitely got to pick up the cardio and the running game for sure stopping at hot do for buffalo bison burger and then going to hit the gym before I head back to the Operation Center Beautiful People welcome back we're out on the ramp in hot sweaty Memphis Tennessee about to head to Milwaukee it's uh Groundhog Day did the same thing yesterday Memphis Milwaukee quick turn Milwaukee to Chicago doing that to end the week or the 3-day trip but hey you got to make a living somehow not the most fun and glamorous but I actually don't mind it because as you can tell on the kind of day over here in Memphis I have about 5 hours on the ground so yeah could stay if you're someone who doesn't know what to do with their time but I'm a pretty busy bee so went for a 5 1 half mile run got a workout in grabbed some food showered and kind of took advantage of the uh of the day so we're out here on the 76 question of the day how many fan blades does the Boeing 767 engine have and I'll let you put your guesses in now count them up count them up I'll tell you how I know the answer because not cuz I'm smart but because I can read There It Is look at that there's your answer one two three so on and so forth and it ends with that number 38 why are they numbered it's you they're usually not maintenance uses a Sharpie I assume Sharpie to put the numbering on there um and I think that's just so that if can kind of keep track if there's any damage or weathering they know how to uh replace it but yeah I don't know why they're number 138 exactly but so if you know let me know below like I said quick flight to Milwaukee uh it'll be a captain's leg so I'll be monitoring which means I get to fly into Chicago oh ha we're feeling good let's go have a day that was the uh right engine I showed you here's the left engine and as you can see no numbering so normally we don't see numbering that one we did so I just thought I would give you guys a a visual it's pretty big here's my little hand pretty big freaking [Music] engine all right one leg down one leg to go we're in Milwaukee we're offloading most of the cargo we're going out with like just a few thousand lbs to Chicago another another quick flight to O'Hare it will be my leg and this leg is kind of fun like I said did the exact same thing yesterday we go at like 12,000 ft right over Lake Michigan right into o'hare's airspace and then Vector around for probably an ILS or PRM which is a uh I explained to you guys yesterday less operation to land so busy quick got to be on your toes it's kind of fun to uh to go to a hair from such a short distance hopefully no delays as of now there's not a 24 minute flight but with the vectoring can be a little bit longer The Landing Runway uh one Z in Chicago I think and I need you guys to let me know Chicago might have the most physical runways in the US out of any major airport I counted eight runways so you can land both ways 16 ways to land that's I think that's got to be more than Atlanta definitely more than JFK definitely more than LAX more than Houston maybe maybe Houston might beat that or DFW I'm not sure but it's got a fton of runways I'm going to figure out which one to land on and we'll get to oare let's do it [Music] hello from Chicago O'Hare again got to the hotel I landed 10 center today which was completely different than yesterday landed 10 right yesterday but it was my leg quick quick quick flight Captain even said after the landing now he didn't give me a grade but he did say quote it's not good to show the captain up so pretty good one we were super light like I said empty airplane we'll go with like an 8 point six out of 10 for pilot Pete's landing on uh in Chicago hair but pet peeve I always always ask but the receptionist at the down at the hotel was busy so I didn't bother I just crossed my fingers and this is what I get for not asking two queen beds not a king now I know about you're about to say dude just deal with it it's it's a nice hotel still yes I know that people but I'm 6'4 lanky lanky giraffe type boy and these little Queens they just don't they don't get the job done I don't sleep as well maybe it's mental but you know what am I going to do it is what it is it's just one night quick quick night we have like literally a 10hour layover here so I think I have enough food we got catered uh on the flight today since our cafeteria is down we're giving all the pilots free food so I'm not going to complain complain about that have that for dinner uh I got to look up a few things online For an upcoming trip and then bedtime I didn't do abs though at the gym I was rushed for time so I may put a towel down and get some ab workout exercises in because I'm a little nutty but besides that quick no fun layover and then tomorrow early morning to go to Memphis to finish out the trip Beautiful People good morning from the gorgeous quiet kago O'Hare Airport we're just getting ready to head down to Memphis for the final leg of the 3-day trip excited to be done cuz after this I head down to Florida for another uh golf weekend trip getaway boys weekend looking forward to that but back to the Flying as another 767 gets pushed here it's going to be kind of loud so I'll make this quick it's a quick flight down in Memphis Captain's leg to IAS and uh smooth Sky we're going at like 20 32,000 ft so we'll get up there quickly we're pretty light today like I said we're feeling good vibes are high got a good amount of sleep and then I mean what could be better than waking up to go do your thing you love to do let's go have a day ever wondered how airplane gets fueled here you go fuel truck pulled up just a minute ago there's a direct access line for the fuel right here in the ground fueler hooks up to the wings bang bang we're putting on 30,000 lbs of fuel and that's how you do it fill up the wings we're not filling them up but like I said 30,000 lb I can't do the math but it's x amount of gallons probably a little bit more expensive than filling up your car [Music] oh [Music] welcome to beautiful Memphis right and sunny just landed 36 right easy quick flight and uh the flying is done baby we love to see it all right folks in Memphis that's a wrap for the trip hope you enjoyed the Vlog I got to decide do I take a company jump seat in about 5 hours from now down to Tampa Florida or do I take a commercial flight through Atlanta to Tampa company paid for got to check a golf bag I don't know what to do stay here get a workout in or leave in a couple hours get some points and some miles and uh two-legged through Atlanta down to Tampa no rush to get there I got to be there by 7: tonight so both flights get me there on time dilemma dilemma not sure what I'm going to do I'll let you know when I end this Vlog but as always I hope you enjoyed comments questions below shoot me a DM on Instagram and until next time I'll see you
