about the gospel but let me tell you this is an insidious plan to shut the church of jesus christ down but i've got news for you and all those that are watching you cannot stop the church it is impossible to stop the church the church triumphant shall stand and he's coming back for a glorious church and we will see another great spiritual awakening that shall sweep across america that shall sweep across the nation the earth and every country shall be shaken but the kingdom of heaven will come out stronger than before you can try to remove everybody from meeting but you will not stop the body of christ the church triumphant shall stand [Music] [Music] come on who came hungry and thirsty for jesus come on the bible says blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness come on children just begin to worship him lord i ask you that you will reveal yourself tonight to these children that they'll know that you're alive and so today you can have god [Music] [Music] and now your future presentation this culture that is somehow guided in their heart that they have got the authority to cancel you out and i'm here to remind you you don't belong to this world the world's name is not on you they didn't call you so they can't cancel you if you're willing to get in the fire if you're not gonna survive [Music] you're gonna get back you're gonna shake your school you're gonna take your high school you're gonna shake the whole region you're gonna shake your youth group you're gonna take your church [Applause] [Music] something happens when you carry the fire [Music] [Applause] [Music] and we made about 100 million souls billion dollars in the world mission i'm going to be a part of the harvest the nation's shaken it was the last thing that i do when she churches open up ever seen the whole nation shall be shaken that coming together the form and the letter reign father we just thank you for it thank you for raising your people up from obscurity thank you that each and every person here tonight is hand picked by you and that we get to occupy till you come we're not pulling back because of fear because of what the world has set up as the standard but thank you for your words and thank you for the power of your holy spirit that has empowered us and graced us and equipped us so that we can accomplish heaven's purpose and plan and we give you all the glory we in jesus name tonight is my night now give the lord the biggest shout [Applause] won't you just turn and greet the three people tell them you love them jesus loves them [Applause] what a phenomenal time this has been thursday night and then this morning man i got so blessed i laughed till i cried it was it was amazing and then tonight's going to be awesome how many are coming tonight and then sunday morning we'll be on on the field of dreams and then sunday night we'll wrap this this whole thing up you know god is doing some of the most amazing things how many are we building this home in the chapes mountains and uh evangelist said what a run up here quickly now what you have to realize is one of the major drug cartel leaders got saved because of us building this house but you're not ready for this well maybe you are tell them what's happening this october house everyone god bless you so yeah in october we have planned three mass crusades over there in chiapas we expect in every single night from five thousand to ten thousand ten thousand people in three different areas in chiapas so the house is building up but we're also building the kingdom of god the cartels are coming pastor the cartel i mean it was amazing in the last meeting over there the lord put in my heart to receive an offering for a sound system for a church i was sick and tired to use that crappy sound that they that we were using all over the place so sometimes you have to get sick i'm tired of things you know and uh i just preach a powerful message the first time that someone gave me the opportunity to present a stewardship and it was powerful sixty thousand us dollar came in for the glory of god in a in a very small town with 200 people in attendance the cartel was sitting at the front row he was watching everything and he was like whispering to his wife i was like i don't know maybe he don't like this stuff but it was actually the opposite the lord was dealing with his heart after the meeting pastor mario told me hey you know what happened we got the money for the sound system for the church but the cartel guy he just told me that he's going to give me a hundred thousand dollars for a sound system for the crusades that we're going to be doing around sherpas and now who's coming to the minister's conference he the cartel guy is getting he's getting his visa he's getting his paperwork so the cartels are coming so he he said he said water said i want to meet your pastor so he's coming here to the medicines conference pastor he got he got so touched you know because every single day he the house that we're building is across the street from his house so every single day he's he's watching this you know the house got a little bit bigger it's eight thousand two hundred square feet it's a mansion it's considered a mansion after seven thousand square feet it's literally a mention so he's watching this thing every single day and he was like man i want to meet this pastor i want to meet this guy if he's building that house this guy has something different so i gotta go and meet him in tampa so he's coming he's getting his paperwork so i'm praying that he get everything in place or he can be here with us remember i told you god was going to use that house as a sign of no wonder and uh that's an area where they've shut the church down basically killed all the pastors and that so god instead of going in to build a church which they would have just killed the pastors the lord we helped build a house for the past he has eight children so that's why he has to have a big house and they've been living in this tiny little place for 25 years and uh so it's it's gonna be awesome and uh amazing the lord said he would use the house to bring in the harvest and now the top cartel leader is saved because of the house of the house and that's the beginning of that whole region being shaken by the hand of god amen i mean that's why the lord wants to bless all of you so that you can be a blessing and we can see everything shaken by the hand of god amen thank god we to walk around with a bell and a bucket amen aren't you happy about that praise god hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah [Applause] that's why this message is so important this is where you're going to be in the next three or five or ten years and these this message will burn in your spirit and you'll never look to man as your source or your supply amen praise god well i want you to welcome all the way from crowley texas dr jerry savelle as it comes to bless us again tonight hallelujah amen thank you sir thank you amen good evening everybody have you still got a shout in your heart today amen praise god all right smile at somebody big smile make them wonder what you've been up to today and then you can be seated praise god hallelujah i have thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to impart into your lives over the last couple of days it's been an honor and a joy and i thank you for allowing me to speak boldly i was going to do it anyway but thank you for allowing me to and it's just been a great pleasure it's one of those meetings where you can hardly wait for the service to begin amen i've already preached this to myself in my room it's going to be good in fact it's going to be so good i gave myself an offering [Applause] hallelujah all right you have your bibles with you let's open them first of all tonight to the book of john chapter 14 and while you're turning there in fact let me ask this question how many of you this is your first service during this series of meetings that i've been doing all right the number of you where have you been well that's none of my business but we're glad you're here tonight but i have been sharing on the three supernatural visitations of the lord that i've experienced in the last 52 years of ministry and i want to say it again i've said it each service i did not ask for this i did not know it was going to happen i wasn't expecting it when it did happen and as i mentioned earlier today i wasn't doing anything super spiritual when it took place you know i've heard people talk about i've heard brother hagin talk about visitations he had of the lord and the impact that it made on his life i've heard brother will roberts talk about visitations he's had from the lord and the impact it made on his life and i was always captivated by their stories but not one time did i ever say no lord why don't you do that for me i just you know enjoyed walking with him enjoyed fellowshipping with him enjoyed him trusting me with his anointing and calling me into the ministry and whether that ever happened to me or not did not have any bearing on whether or not i'd continue to preach and so that's just never been something that i've asked for but it happened and it's happened three different times and it was it was very powerful each time and once again i i didn't know it was going to happen and i mentioned the first one was in 1981 in charlotte north carolina while i was preaching with brother copeland in the east coast believers convention and i just finished preaching that afternoon went to my room my wife and i she said she was going to go lay down and take a nap before the service that evening brother copeland was preaching that evening and she said i don't think i'll be able to keep my eyes open if i don't get a nap and i don't want to fall asleep while brother copeland's preaching i said you go ahead go in in the bedroom take a nap and i'll wake you up just in time to get get ready to go the service i said i'm just going to sit in the living room here and just relax i wasn't going to take a nap i was just going to relax i put my suit away put my robe on i sat down on the sofa and just leaned back on the sofa put my hands behind my head and i didn't go to sleep i just closed my eyes for a moment like that and the next thing i knew that room was filled with the chicano glory of god it got so thick i couldn't even see the furniture in the room and then the lord appeared and he said to me and this was october 1981. he said my people are experiencing financial famine and i'll reveal to you the keys that will bring them out and hold you responsible for sharing them everywhere i send you and then he began to talk to me about those keys and afterwards when when when he was no longer present the glory was still there it awakened my wife and she came in the room and said what's going on in here and she was caught up in the glory of god that was in that room and she was speechless for a few moments and then i said to her i just had a visitation of the lord she said what did he say and so i told her and i've said this in previous services she said are you going to tell brother copeland about this i said no i'm not he and i worked together long enough to where he'll pick it up in the spirit so i don't have to tell him and uh so we went over to the service that night took our seat on the front row with the other guest speakers in that convention and brother copeland got up to preach and he said let's open our bibles and never told us where and then he tried to do it again let's open our bibles and never told us where and then the third time he said it he just closed his bible and said jerry god visited you today come tell us what he said so i got up and began to preach on what the lord said to me in that visitation and as i mentioned uh it was just one of those phenomenal services i'd never been in a service quite like that up to that time and not only that there was such amazing financial breakthroughs that took place the rest of that week in that meeting not only for kenneth copeland ministries but for the people attending the meeting i'm still getting testimonies of people saying i was in that meeting in 1981 in charlotte when you preached on sewing and famine and said you have no idea the impact that it made on my life and the miracle breakthroughs that we experienced and then the lord told me to take it everywhere i went and so i began preaching it every every city in america that i went and then i began going overseas again the next year 1982 and one of the first places i went was joburg south africa and i'm preaching with ray mccauley in his faith convention and i preached at that first service that i was speaking in and the same anointing hit that place and ray told me later he said we've had we've had the greatest financial miracles in our church that we've ever experienced and that happened everywhere i preached it all over the world i got the same report the same response and then in 1992 i was preaching all over uh south texas i was on a tour and i was preaching in various churches and the last church i preached in and i was there in that area for about two weeks preaching a different church every night and the last church i preached in was lakewood international church pastored by john osteen and that was going to be my last meeting and i was going to fly home that night after the service and a pastor friend of mine in liberty texas not too far from houston he was in that service he said brother jerry would you please stay over one more night and come to my church tomorrow night i said pastor i'd love to but i am tired i really am looking forward to going home and resting he said i understand but would you just pray about it well i have a hard time saying no you know and and so uh i said okay pastor i'll stay over one more night and i'll come to your church so uh we went over to liberty texas that's a small community and had a little hotel there didn't have you know maybe 10 or 12 rooms and me my pilots and a couple of my road crew i sent the rest of them home we all had rooms there and as soon as we checked in the hotel i was still so tired i thought if i don't get a nap i'm not going to be worth 15 cents in that service tonight and i i don't like going into a service and and not giving my best you know and so i didn't even unpack only thing i unpacked was an alarm clock and i just pulled the sheet back on the bed there laid down set the alarm for one hour you know one of those power naps and i laid my head on the pillow i hadn't even got my eyes closed yet and suddenly the room filled with the chicana glory of god just like it did in charlotte in 1981. it it it it just was electrifying and the lord appeared and this time he said well let me back up somebody in here is about to have a major major breakthrough amen now i'm not i'm not talking about some small thing and and the same thing is going to happen to you and happen to this church like what happened when i was at mac hammond's preaching on supernatural increase the one of the people in that service came to brother mack hammond and brought him a check for 1.2 million dollars as a tithe check that means he just came into 12 million dollars and he brought the pastor 1.2 million dollar tithe check now if that happened to most christians you know what the pastor get a card from the bahamas saying i got mine i hope you get yours wish you were here bye but no this man the first thing he did was bring the tithe to the church somebody in this service tonight i said somebody in this service tonight i don't know who it is i don't know who it is and that's not important for me to know who it is but i'm telling you you are about to have a major financial breakthrough and you are going to be amazed at the size of the tithe check you're going to write hallelujah and it's coming to the church hallelujah hallelujah well i think we all ought to shout at shouting praise god thank you amen glory to god hallelujah glory to god come on let's praise god for a moment hallelujah hallelujah [Applause] i heard somebody say well what about me brother well be it unto thee according to your faith amen be it unto thee according to your faith if you can believe god for it it'll happen anybody got faith for a major breakthrough in here hallelujah well i learned a long long time ago and i'm not a novice at this i've been preaching the word of faith for 52 years and i learned a long long time ago that one of the one of the one of the ways to position myself for a breakthrough is to praise god for it in advance praise god for it in advance hallelujah come on praise god for it in advance glory to god hallelujah i i [Applause] i remember [Applause] [Music] the lord said something to me a number of years ago and it went like this he said the depth of your praise will determine the magnitude of your breakthrough the depth of your praise will determine the magnitude of your breakthrough so was that the best you could do hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah glory glory glory thank you father thank you father [Applause] thank you father hallelujah praise god praise god praise god amen all right now be seated for a moment don't wait for somebody to lead you in that in church [Applause] i like to say if you have a hard time praising god in church you're not doing it enough at home [Applause] thank you for your enthusiasm thank you for your agreement now let me let me back up and and and go back to where i was talking that that second visitation was not in liberty yet that was the third visitation the second visitation was in bournemouth england while i was preaching brother copeland in the believer's convention and i had the same thing happen to me that happened to me in 1981 in charlotte and and the lord said in that visitation and i wrote it down here just the way he said it he said my people are living in survival mode and it's not my best i will reveal to you the keys that will take them out of survival and into restoration and supernatural increase and so that happened after a service about middle week of that meeting i didn't say a thing to brother copeland the next morning didn't say anything to brother copeland the next afternoon just went in and said like everybody else received the word that he was preaching and then that night when he got ready to preach he said jerry did god visit you again i said yes sir he did he said well come tell us what he said son so he sat down and i took over the service and it was the first time that we had been going to england or the uk where we had breakthroughs like that take place and they're still happening and every time i go to the uk i get testimonies of people that were in that meeting that night and said we'd never been in a meeting quite like that before and we're still enjoying the breakthroughs that it produced praise god amen and then as i mentioned earlier i'm in texas south texas in these series of meetings in various churches and the pastor from liberty texas asked me if i would stay over one more night and come to preach in his church and as i mentioned earlier i really wanted to go home i was tired and i was ready for some rest but i agreed to stay one more night and went to liberty and when we checked in that little hotel i set my alarm clock for one hour and the moment i laid down my head hit the pillow the same thing happened again that happened in 1981 in charlotte 1992 in bournemouth england and now this is 2004 in liberty texas and this time the lord said this and i wrote all this down he said my people have been overwhelmed again with financial attacks but tell them that the god of the breakthrough wants to visit their house and then he said this he said most of them well he said they know me as savior many of them know me as baptizer in the holy ghost some know me as healer and deliverer but they don't all know me as the god of the breakthrough he said and if they did they wouldn't be so quick to give up think about it i'm going to say it again he said they know me as savior some know me as baptizer in the holy spirit some know me as healer and deliverer but they don't all know me as the god of the breakthrough because if they did they wouldn't be so quick to give up now if you know god as the god of the breakthrough giving up is not an option amen you know it's amazing to me my my i've had people ask me over the years many times brother jerry what do you believe your assignment is in the body of christ and i always answer the same way talk people into winning talk people into winning you know sometimes you just have to talk people into winning you have to talk people not to give up i remember my dad i was in kenya i was in the bush near the uganda border and i was preaching there and back in those early days excuse me they didn't have many flights back to uk out of nairobi i think they had about two flights and uh you you didn't catch one of those flights then you had to wait to the next week this is back in the early days when i first started going to kenya and one night as i one morning rather on a sunday morning as i was getting ready to preach the lord said to me your father's having a massive heart attack pray well i couldn't get to my dad i mean i'm i'm on the other side of the world not only that this is not the day that you can catch a flight to get out of kenya and so and i'm still an eight hour drive from nairobi where i was out in the bush so there's no way i can get to my dad not right away so i began to pray and as soon as i got finished with those meetings i went back to nairobi and then i caught the next flight out and the moment i arrived at home my wife met me at the door and welcomed me back home and she said your dad was visiting his brother down in okeechobee florida and he had a massive heart attack he's in the hospital and they say he's not going to live he's not going to pull through so i got in my airplane and flew down here and when i walked in the hospital i met the doctor who was treating my dad and i i said to him tell me what is happening with my dad he said he had a massive heart attack and it's not the first one he's had some massive heart attack now my dad at that time was not even 55 years old and said he he will not leave this hospital he will die here i said well take me to my dad so they took me to my dad and of course dad's all hooked up with everything you know and and they're trying to you know make him as comfortable as possible but they didn't expect him to live and when i walked in and stood over him my dad started crying and i said dad i just visited with a doctor and he said you are not leaving this hospital you uh your heart is functioning at 20 percent and they said you'll probably die before morning i said that's what they say okay but you know me dad what they say is not final authority in my life what god says is final authority in my life i said but [Applause] i'm giving you the choice if you want to go if you're ready to go and that's what you want to do then i'll release you now i don't believe it's time for you to go and i don't want you to go but if that's your decision if you want to go then i'll release you and he just looked up at me and very weakly said son i don't want to die i said that's all i need to hear i prayed over my dad the anointing god hid him and i flew him home the next morning praise god amen and dad continued to live now he reached the place just before he uh he turned about 70 now and uh i i came home and dad used to travel with me and i came home because he he's not traveling anymore and i went to see my mom and dad i said mom where's that she said he's in the bedroom and he's been in there all day and he's been crying and i said what's he crying about she said well he i think he's lost the will to live i went in there and i said dad what's happening he said son i'm tired i hurt i don't know if i can i can take this anymore i said dad i want you up and dressed in the morning i'm coming to pick you up at nine o'clock be dressed and i'm gonna take you to do something that's gonna help you something that doctors cannot do he said what is i said i'm not telling you just be dressed and i'll pick you up at nine o'clock i'll see you in the morning so i just left him with that i went home and i called texas motor speedway and i talked to the general manager out there i said i need to hire a professional race driver to drive my dad around the track for about 20 laps he said done so i went and got my dad picked him up started driving where we going son i said i'm not telling you you'll see it when we get there and see my dad race cars all his young life he lost the will to live but i knew what would help him put him in a race car about 20 laps doing about 190 miles an hour around that texas motor speedway and after 20 laps his adrenaline pumped and boy he was ready to move on and live hallelujah amen all i did was shoot him full of adrenaline hallelujah and boy that's what did it and he lived until he was about 73 years old and and then he went on to be with the lord amen but see what i was having to do and and before i got to the racetrack i kept talking to him and and encourage him to regain the will to win the will to live amen it's hard to minister to people for healing or miracles when they've lost the will to win and so that's what has been my assignment primarily all these years is talk people into winning amen i remember uh as some of you probably heard about this a few years ago it's been about what five years ago now joe four or five years ago i i used to fly i used to pilot but i quit flying a number of years ago and and the lord actually said to me while i was doing some training i was sitting in a simulator and the lord said to me and they just got it all started i'm i'm doing some reoccurrence training and the lord said to me while i'm sitting in that simulator you can preach or fly take your choice i said that is not fair brother copeland gets to do both he said you're not brother copeland i said then charles capps gets to do both you're not charles capps i said why can't i do both he said i know you this will consume you and it'll take away from your preaching now take your choice if you want to fly fly but make your choice i knocked on when the flight instructor came i said let me out of here he said why i said god's in here he said god's in there i said oh yeah big time and he just told me i could fly preach take my choice and i think i preached better than a fly so i'm sticking to preaching and that's the last time i sat in a cockpit and that was 1986 and i've been enjoying the ride ever since praise god their anointed to fly and i'm anointed to believe god for the airplane that they can fly hallelujah amen so uh anyway i hadn't i said that because when i was flying i was required by the faa to have a physical every year and when i quit flying it got harder and harder for me to schedule time for a physical because the doctor that always gave me the physical when i was available he wasn't he was booked when he was available i wasn't i was on the road somewhere and after a while and i'm not suggesting anybody do this i just kind of let it slip i i just didn't pay any attention to it anymore and i went several years where i had not had a physical and so my wife and my children said to me uh especially my girls they said daddy you haven't had a physical in a long time you need to have a physical you're about to turn 70. so this was uh almost five years ago i said i'm fine what do i need a physical for i mean i've enjoyed divine health all these years i'm highly motivated i i go all the time i run circles around people that are half my age you know and and what i need a physical for well daddy you're about to turn 70 and you just need a physical if there's anything going on in your body then at least you can target your faith and and attack that so they talked me into it so i went and had a physical well one of the things they discovered was there was some major blockage in the artery in my neck where the blood flows from your heart to your brain and the doctor said to me i don't know how you came in here in this clinic i said what are you talking about he said this is major i said i still don't know what you're talking about he said this could cause an aneurysm or a stroke and you need to do something about it right away my daughter said daddy listen to it because they're daddy's girls they love their daddy and they said daddy listen to it i said then what are you suggesting he said it's a routine surgery we'll go in and remove the plaque buildup that's blocked that artery and he said it's 90 percent blocked and he said we'll go in and just do an incision in your neck and remove that plaque buildup and you'll be in the hospital overnight maybe possibly one more day and then you'll be released go home and everything will be normal just just rest for a while before you get back to doing what you do and and you'll be fine the girl said daddy do it so the next morning we went to the hospital and uh they prepped me now the last thing i remember when they were rolling me into the surgery room was routine surgery routine surgery liar liar wasn't anything routine about it i had a major stroke some of that plaque broke off and went to my brain and caused a major stroke i lost total use of my right arm my right leg and the worst part of it was total memory loss i didn't know my wife i didn't know my children i was like a vegetable laying there in that hospital bed and the doctor kept telling my wife he will never preach again he will never travel again he will never be normal again you're going to have to learn to live with this and you're going to take care of him for the rest of his life and i'm suggesting that you take him to this special clinic where they'll put him in a chamber for about six hours a day to help rebuild the brain cells and she kept telling the doctor thank god for a wife who is a woman of faith she kept telling the doctor sir you don't know our god and you do not know my husband she said he will preach again and i know that because he hadn't finished his course she said he said well you don't understand uh this is major i mean i've dealt with this you know i've been doing this for many many years and i've seen things like this happen and most people never recover she said my husband will now i'm laying there in the bed and i'm not even aware of what's happening my wife comes in i don't know who she is my daughters come in i don't know who they are the doctor comes in and and i can see his lips moving and when the lips stop moving i assume he's still he's through talking and if he looked like he was asking me a question the only word i could say was yes that's the only word i could say and when i saw his lips stop moving i'd say yes whatever he asked i don't have a clue what he asked [Music] he'd come in there every day and i'd see his lips stop moving and i'd say yes some visitors would come and i'd see their lips stop moving yes only thing i could say now my son-in-law who's married to my youngest daughter terry his name is rodney and he's a character rodney came in there one day knowing that the only thing i could say was yes he said dad now i'm sitting on the bed just just looking out in the hallway and and seriously i'm like a vegetable i'm not even functioning that well and i'm just sitting there looking out the bed and holding this arm up because if i if i let go it's dead weight it'd just fall and i'm sitting there on the bed and rodney said next to me he said dad i was in here yesterday and you told me you wanted me to have your 67 corvette he said can i come by and get it tomorrow and i turned and looked at him and he said i said no and rodney jumped up and said he's better now hey we all go home he's getting better now he's trying to set me up trying to get my 67 427 four-speed hot corvette you know [Applause] and so so i'm like that for days and then finally i started improving a little bit and they they they said to my wife you can take him home and then told her what to do about that clinic and all that and they took me home now i can't respond but in my mind even though i can't communicate i'm thinking if they let me go home and be in my own environment my recovery will be immediate because sometimes the worst place to be when you're sick is in a hospital people dying in there there's death spirit of death you know and so i knew if i could if they'd let me go home and be in my own environment that my recovery would be immediate so they they take me out of the hospital and i've got to hold my arm up like this and i'm walking like this and my my granddaughter rachel is helping me she's helping me get to the car she helps me get out of the car and then she takes me in the house and we're setting out in the den and she became my coach now here's what she would say to me she'd grab me by the chin and say papa you're known around the world for telling people don't quit and i'm not going to let you quit you understand me papa and i i just look at her and then she took a piece of putty and set it on the table and put coins in it buried coins in it and took my right hand and put it on top of that putty it said papa get those coins out of that clay i couldn't move my fingers i just looked at her she said popo you're not going to quit now occasionally on the inside i thought she says that again i'm going to slap her [Applause] but see she was talking me into winning like i've been talking to people all over the world into winning and she said now get that clay get those coins out of that clay and boy i worked and i worked trying to get my fingers to move and finally i'm talking about it seemed like hours i finally got one finger to work and i scraped on that putty and i pulled and it was frustrating that you couldn't do something that was so simple that you didn't have to think about before doing it just automatic and i scraped and i scraped and i pulled and finally i could see one of those coins just the tip of it and she said a big smile came to my face she said pull it out of there papa and i kept scraping and scraping until i finally pulled that coin to the surface and then she had the audacity to bury it again do it again papaw so this went on for a day or two she's come over to house every day spend all day with me coaching me okay and then one day i'm sitting there and i'm looking out at the back of our property and appointed to my garage my shop now carolyn my wife says quit calling it a shop it's a museum it is a museum it's where i keep all my classic motorcycles all my classic cars classic trucks and i pointed to it and rachel said what do you want papa i pointed to it she said you want to go to your museum yes she helped me up i held my arm she helped me walk outside she got the keys and unlocked the door turned the alarm off she turned the lights on and i stood there and looked in that museum and it's quite an impressive collection and she helped me walk over to my old oldest motorcycle it's a 1942 harley-davidson that actually saw duty in world war ii in russia and it's been completely restored to its original military markings and i walked over to it and in my mind even though i can't communicate i'm thinking i'm not going to leave this build until i start everything in here and i walked over that 42 harley now it's not electric start it's kickstart and there's no guarantee that you kick it three or four times that it'll start it is a major faith endeavor it's hard to start even when everything's working right on you and and and i it's kickstart and i couldn't remember what to do to get it started and i started praying in the spirit and the lord told me what to do i asked the lord later i said why was it that the only word i could say in english was yes but i never lost the ability to pray in tongues that whole time he said this and it was life-changing he said son your spirit's not connected to your brain that's why you were able to pray in tongues oh man i learned some valuable lessons about the power of praying in tongues and i prayed in the spirit and the spirit of god told me what to do he was amazing to me the holy ghost knows how to start 42 harleys amen and so uh rachel help me she i got this arm up she put my leg my left leg on the kickstart and i come down on it and it didn't start right away and she helped me put my leg back up there and i kicked down on it and it started i just left it running then i went to my next harley which is a 1946 harley and it's kickstart and i got that one started and then i went over to my 57 panhead and it's kickstart and i got it started and then i went to the old indian motorcycles i have and i went to the old triumph motorcycles i i started everything in that building and then i started on the classic cars she helped me go over to the oldest car in there a 32 ford roadster and i got it started left it running then i went to my 32 chevy victoria got it running and then i went uh to my corvette collection my lat my my oldest corvettes in 1954 got it started started the 57 corvette started the 61 corvette started the 67 corvette and went all the way through that building and then started all my old trucks 36 ford and worked my way all the way through there and got everything started and just left it running and i like to say the smell of fumes was exhilarating it probably could have killed me but i didn't i didn't think about that it just it just felt good to have everything running in there and then i shut everything down and rachel helped me get back to the door she turned the lights off she turned the alarm on i walked outside and then i said rachel give me the keys she handed me the keys she said papa did you see what you just did i said what she said you took them with your right hand god totally restored my right hand totally restored my right arm totally restored my right leg i took three steps toward my house and he totally restored my memory absolutely totally restored and joe and i within a couple of weeks we were preaching all over the world in several different continents and i hadn't let up since do i look like a man who'd never preach again do i look like a man who'd never travel again do i look like a man who'd never be normal again don't answer that one but anyway look what the lord has done hallelujah amen and then on top of that the lord said now the very hand that satan tried to take from you i'm going to increase my anointing in your right hand and lay it on people and just watch what i'll do praise god and i've been laying hands on people that's had strokes and stroke victims and i'm watching god heal them just like he healed me praise god hallelujah amen now my point is not only have i taught people all over the world don't quit talk people all over the world into winning my granddaughter had to do it for me amen because at the time i couldn't do it for myself but thank god for a family that lives by faith amen a family that lives by faith that trusts god in everything we do praise god amen now once again in that visitation that third visitation which i'm dealing with tonight he said my people know me as savior some know me as baptizer in the holy spirit some know me as healer and deliverer but they don't all know me as the god of the breakthrough if they did they wouldn't be so quick to give up and that's true obviously jesus said it it's true but i've witnessed that i've noticed that people that don't know him as the god of the breakthrough tend to give up and quit they're not they're they don't have the the willingness or the motivation to keep standing you know if everything happened quickly it'd be wonderful but it doesn't as you well know i mean if it did happen quickly then paul would have not been inspired by the holy spirit to write and having done all to stand stand therefore sometimes you just have to stand sometimes you have to stand a lot longer than you wanted to and most of the time you don't know how long you're going to have to stand but but but the bottom line is you got to be willing to stand and give the god of the breakthrough an opportunity to visit your house and when the god of the breakthrough shows up at your house major things take place hallelujah amen hallelujah praise god now i like to say this i have no i have absolutely no symptoms of having had a stroke but one you'd never know i had a stroke but there's one thing i can't get that thumb to lay down it just sticks out like that all the time and i say that's a token of my covenant because every time i look at that thumb it reminds me of the god of the breakthrough and how he visited my house not only that but if my car breaks down i can always hitchhike hallelujah amen now some of you probably noticed my hands all beat up working on classic cars is still my hobby that's a 36 ford under the hood of a flathead v8 just a few weeks ago and this was a a time on the lake labor day weekend and having to work on my boat and my hands are all scarred up as a result of it but the only thing the only evidence that shows that i had a full blown stroke and was never to recover from it because that thumb won't lay down but i'm kind of enjoying it because every time it sticks up i think that's a token of my covenant with god that's a reminder that the god of the breakthrough visited jerry savelle's house hallelujah come on give the lord a good shout of praise amen now most people i see that's had strokes oh and here's another thing i i gotta tell you my mother died of a stroke her mother died of a stroke most of her sisters died of strokes everybody on my mother's side dies as strokes the curse was broken in me hallelujah hallelujah i said hallelujah amen the god of the breakthrough now in john chapter 14 i've given you plenty of time to find it john chapter 14 jesus makes this statement in verse 6 you're all familiar with it jesus saith unto him i am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto me or unto the father rather but by me now this is not just referring to even though it certainly does refer to him being the way to salvation but it also implies that he is the way to achieve results how many of you are familiar with the song i think well i i believe you i can't remember if we sing it here since i've been here but i'm sure you're singing waymaker i love that song waymaker amen that's what this means he's the waymaker which also implies he's the god of the breakthrough i will make a way that's what a breakthrough is god making a way where there seems to be no way can you say amen [Applause] he's the god of the breakthrough he's the source of breakthroughs you've heard it say many you've heard it said many times you've probably said it yourself he can make a way where there seems to be no way god says through the prophet isaiah speaking of himself i will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert in other words he's saying it makes no difference what your circumstances are it makes no difference how impossible your situation may look i'm the waymaker i'm the god of the breakthrough hallelujah he'll make provision even in the wilderness he'll make provision even in the desert we we saw in the word uh to this morning reading from genesis chapter 26 he can even cause someone to prosper in a famine can you say amen so that means it makes no matter where you live you know when i first started going to africa back in the 70s the the the and then the first nation i went to was was kenya and then from there we branched out and and we we've established uh our ministry all over africa but the first place i went to was kenya and i never had any problem with the nationals the kenyans believing in what i preached in fact i asked the lord i said what do you want me to preach while i'm in kenya he said covenant they understand covenant and so i preached on covenant and of course in the covenant is provision for prosperity now i'm preaching to poor people i'm preaching to people living in mud huts no electricity no running water and i'm preaching covenant prosperity and the only people who gave me a hard time not the kenyans they were sitting there like baby birds soaking it up feeding on it the only people who gave me a hard time were american missionaries religious-minded people and one of them had the audacity to rebuke me and say you can't preach that message over here i said why not he said these people are poor i said duh [Applause] that's like saying you can't preach salvation over here why not these people are lost [Laughter] what would you preach in a poor country remember the gospel is good news what is good news to a sick man you don't have to be sick anymore what's good news to the oppressed man you don't have to be oppressed anymore what's good news to the poor man you don't have to be poor no more hallelujah amen so i'm preaching prosperity and and the only people that got upset with me were american missionaries coming out of religious churches religious denominations but i didn't stop i just kept preaching it and the next time i went because they they laid hold on it i mean they grabbed hold of it and the next time i went over there many of the same people that i was preaching to the trip before were now out of mud huts and had houses now we're not walking the streets or the roads but had automobiles or or motorized vehicles like a motor scooter to ride around in they grabbed hold of it not only did i teach them covenant prosperity but i taught them sowing and i got i got called on the carpet again you can't teach these people giving they don't have anything to give i said yes they do it doesn't have to be large sums of money just give what you have at your disposal and they got hold of it they grabbed hold of it i remember one time joe and i were over there and after i got through preaching in this village out in the bush they said they call me doctari savelli doctari savely we have gift for you and they brought me a goat a goat had a ribbon around him with a bell on it that old goat walked up there and looked at me there and the lord said receive it that's the best the village has it represented all the milk for the children in that village that was the best seed there it was a significant seed i said lord i don't think they're going to let me take a goat home on the airlines he said receive it thank them for it and then sow it back into the village make it a twice sown seed and so i received it thanked a void and then i sold it back into the village the next time i went to that village they were prospering they were prospering i remember the lord told me get get this now there was a man from arkansas pulled up at our ministry in a bobtail truck and said if jerry savelle here they said yes he is said would you mind uh asking him to come i have something for him he said uh i was in the meeting he did in benton arkansas back in 1973. and he said i have something for him so they came and got me and i went out there and and i remembered him i remembered his face and he said the lord told me to bring you something and he opened the back of that bobtail truck and on on several racks there was a hundred and fifty pair of brand-new slacks he said the lord told me to give them to you you can't wear 150 pair of slacks in a lifetime brand new never been worn still added tags on them nice slacks i thanked him prayed with him we unloaded them put them in the publication building and then i started sending them all over the world i i sent them all over the world and i saved enough of them to take on my next trip to kenya because we had at that time about 42 pastors where we were building their churches and so i wanted to take the pastors all at least four five six pair of slacks and the lord said take them some of your suits as well so i took enough suits for all those pastors and we lined them up out there and said we've brought you some slacks and we brought you one of my suits oh they were so thrilled they were they were smiling i mean they could hardly wait and they walked up there and i presented them the slacks and one of my suits and one of them now what most of them they were about my size and you know they they fit good but one of our pastors he was up near the border of uganda and he had walked all the way down there and he he was about six foot tall i'd had to look up at him big smile i said sir this suit's not gonna fit you i want dr tyree savelli suit i said sir it's not going to fit you you're too tall i said i will take you to nairobi and buy you a suit don't want suit from nairobi i want dr savelli's suit i said okay so that night he came to the meeting and in my suit looking like this and like this big smile on his face he said anointing on doctor establish suit no anointing on suit from nairobi oh that was fun praise god i'll never forget that i remember we joe and i were walking to job been over there with me so many times i mean and all over the world praise god i can't thank god enough for job what a blessing he is to my life and we were over there one time and they finally built a hotel out there in in kakameka and it's near the uganda border we and i was standing mud huts when i first went over there when i first went over there i was in a mud hut that just had a cutout and a little piece of cloth that covered the window no running water no electricity and every time i'd come back from the meeting that night i'd go in that hut and they'd give me a little candle so i could see and i'd walk in that hut and there was a witch doctor that camped out on the outside of that hut and he'd beat drums and chant all night long now i couldn't understand swahili so i don't know what he's saying and so i asked one of our interpreters to tell me what he's saying and he was saying basically he was going to run me out of the k out of the nation i said now lord you sent me here and i'm not going to be run out by that witch doctor well then he started when i was in the meetings he's he'd crawl in that opening and he'd fill my and i had a like an army cot i'm sleeping on with one little sheet and he'd slip in there while i'm off preaching and he filled the bed up with lizards little lizards big lizards brown lizards green lizards ugly lizards i'd pull that sheet back and it's full of lizards i said god you know which doctor gonna run me out of kenya but if you don't do some of these livers i'm leaving on my own i'm not sleeping with them lizards [Applause] well you know what happened the witch doctor got saved hallelujah the witch doctor got saved hallelujah and then they wanted me to he wanted me to go to his village and so we went to his village and he went in his hut and brought out all of his witch doctor trinkets and all the stuff that you know he cast spells on people and all this supposedly potions and healing stuff he brought it all out and we never told him to do that he brought it all out in front of the whole village and set it on fire amen and then eventually he became the chief cook at our church there in coca mega amen we we would every time i'd go i would buy cattle and then they'd have to slaughter them so we could feed all the people and he was the main cook amen isn't that amazing i could tell you stories like this all night long but the bottom line is our god is the god of the breakthrough amen he can make a way where there seems to be no way he can make a way where it seems absolutely impossible you don't get to be called the way if you don't have a track record of making a way amen hallelujah you know i i said this morning i've loved boxing all of my life and and i uh i noticed when i was boxing in college my roommates they had a robe made for me and they called me tiger savelle tiger savelle and you know you don't get it introduced this and in this corners jerry said no jerry tiger savelle and i get tickled at some of the names you know evander the real deal holyfield iron mike tyson you know archie the mongoose moore roberta roberto little hands of stone duran all these nicknames well they're supposed to be for identification they're supposed to represent your ability amen i mean i remember i was telling today how many remember metalwork lemon famous harlem globetrotter in my estimation he was the globetrotters and and he became a son in the lord to me i mentored him after he got saved in the ministry came and lived with me for a season and he traveled with me all over all over the country and and and to the day he went home to be with the lord he called me dad and i'd have to get on a chair and look at him face to face he said dad and and people hear him say that and i remember when he when he went to the hospital to have some heart surgery i i flew to phoenix where he was living now and i walked in his room and the doctor was prepping him for surgery and when i walked in meadowlark turned said dad and the doctor turned around and looked at me and said dad [Applause] metallurgy said that's my dad the doctor said well i do see some resemblance [Laughter] we had we had the greatest time everywhere we traveled now everybody recognized meadowlark lemon especially young people didn't recognize because they didn't they weren't around when he was playing for the globetrotters but people my age and you know close to my age oh everybody recognized meadowlark lemon he was the clown prince of basketball and he could still do everything he did when he was 70 that he did at 40. he was amazing and we'd go someplace and and he'd say let's go shoot some baskets i say i tell you what let's do you go shoot some baskets and i'll watch and so we'd go to a gym somewhere like one time in anaheim and we went in a gym and meadowlark is doing all the tricks he did when he played for the globetrotters and there were about uh seven or eight young black teenage boys come and they got their basketball and they're watching meadowlark they walked up to me and said mister who is that man i said you ever heard the harlem globetrotters yeah i said well at one time he was the harlem globetrotters one of the most famous harlem globetrotters i said you know what he's what his best shot was no i said a half court hook shot no way i said man lord these boys don't believe you can still do a half court hook shot he made 10 out of 12. and then he got him in a circle and i played sweet georgia brown and he started teaching him how to be a globetrotter he we had a lot of fun in fact we were we were flying to miami one time and we got to miami and i had rented a car and i went up to hurt's counter and there's meadowlark standing there next to me and the guy at the counter recognized meadowlark he said metal lark lemon i can't believe it middle arc lemon i watched you all my young life i can't believe madelark lemon is standing right in front of me well there was another guy in the back office and he come running out there and he said metallork lemon oh my could i get your autograph wait until my wife hears i just met meadowlark lemon and meadowlark turned to me and said and this is curly neal curly neal i can't believe men like lemon and curly neal and the boy looked at me and he said you're shorter than i thought you were i said i'm also the wrong color too but we'd have fun like that all the time but meadowlark when when he was in the hospital and they didn't give him much chance of living the lord sent me to him of course i wanted to be with him anyway the lord didn't have to tell me i just wanted to be with him and he said talk him into winning so i was there to be a coach to him and talk him into winning and he come out of that hospital and you know traveled again and preached again he became a full-time minister and he preached and oh he won so many young people to the lord and he was just he was just a a great asset to the kingdom of god amen i've seen the god of the breakthrough show up so many times i don't have enough time to tell you all the stories i have experienced with the god of the breakthrough showing up and most of the time it has happened in the most impossible situations amen most impossible situations you remember me telling you about uh when i first came the lord in 1969 and he told me i wouldn't be able to fulfill what i was called to do without airplanes and don't fly airplanes with dead on them believe him dead free so when it came time where i actually needed an airplane because i couldn't i couldn't do it what i'm called to do without it and i'm believing god for it and there was not anybody else on this planet who knew i was believing god for an airplane but my wife my two daughters and the four staff members i had and kenneth and gloria copeland because when i when i started believing for it the first person i wanted to go to was kenneth copeland and so my first seed toward that airplane every seed produces after its own kind you plant apple seeds you get apples you plant orange seeds you get oranges you plant cotton seeds you get cotton you plant airplane seed got the picture yet so he had an aviation department so i i sowed into his aviation department and every time i got some extra seed i'd take it to brother cope so he and gloria my wife my two daughters and my four staff members were the only people on the planet who knew i was believing for an airplane i never voiced it when i was in meetings i never told anybody i never went up to somebody that looked like they were prosperous and said i'm believing for an airplane is god talking to you no that's religious con work and i've never done that and i never will don't have to the god of the breakthrough follows me around hallelujah amen and so i'm so in seed now i'm believing god now there was a man a pastor in a little town in west texas and they asked me to come and preach a little town called andrews texas now back in the day andrews was an all rich community they they i mean they found oil all over that area and there's a lot of people became millionaires overnight and way back there but now it's just a little town and the whole industry's not doing anything there anymore just little what we'd call a one horse town one main street and they've asked me to come to preach there so when i arrived and i had my family and staff members with me when i arrive and i i go up to the church to me introduce myself to the pastor because i've never met him before the first thing he asked me was this are you licensed and ordained with this particular denomination i said no sir i'm not he said you're not i said no sir i'm not he said i thought you were i said no sir i'm not he said well there's a there's a man in our denomination that has your last name and i thought you were his son i said no sir i'm not his son so you're not last and ordained we're not working today no i'm not he said well then you can't preach in my church now see i came out of a paint and body shop i repaired wrecked cars i restored classic automobiles i've never been to the seminary i don't know religious politics okay thank god i didn't know that i couldn't preach in somebody's church because i wasn't ordained with their denomination but he let me know i can't you're not preaching in my church and he turned around and walked off and left me on this front step and my wife girls are sitting in the car and my knife went like this like what's happening and the head deacon in that church come to find out he was the one who asked the pastor to invite me because he'd heard me before and and he said brother savelle i'm so sorry i didn't know that pastor was going to react like this he said if i can find a place here in andrews for you to preach in would you stay i said that's what i came for i'm here he said well you guys go on to the little hotel uh just just on the edge of town and and i'll come talk to you later today after i find a place so he came back and we're all we're still talking about the god of the breakthrough so he came back and he said brother savannah found us a place i said okay where are we gonna have the meeting now i'm scheduled to be there in andrews for three days three nights okay three services a day i said we were going to have the meeting he said the only place i could find was an abandoned laundromat i said say what he said an abandoned laundromat and it's on main street and it's a stretch of the imagination to call it downtown okay it's just it's just one street through andrew's main street and there was a laundromat on main street that had been abandoned and closed for a long time and that's the only place he could find for us to do a meeting he said now uh he said it's been closed and it needs sweeping and it needs some cleaning he said could you and your wife and girls come and help me and my wife clean it up so we have a meeting in there tonight we went down there and it was a laundromat there's washers on one side and dryers on the other so we had to move all and everything's broken down nothing works in there we had to move all the the dryers over against the wall next to the washing machines and we left one dryer out in the middle for my pulpit okay and then we don't we didn't have chairs and he said i'm gonna go see if i can find some folding chairs that somebody will loan us he came back a little while he said there's not any folding chairs no no no folding chairs to be found and the people that have some won't let us have them won't let us borrow he said i went back to the church see if we could get him out of the out of the you know fellowship hall and pastor wouldn't let me have him he said but that doesn't mean we can't have a meeting and then he said you're gonna like this i said what he said i got an idea i said what he said uh there's a wrecking yard right outside of town let's go get seats out of red cars and put them in here for the people to set up i said i like that idea i grew up in wrecking yards you know we went to the wrecking yard and got seats out of wrecked cars and put them in the laundromat now i got a broken down dryer for a pulpit and old worn out wrecked car seats for the people to sit in this has all the characteristics of a landslide meeting wouldn't you agree [Applause] and that night's the first service my wife is there my two daughters are there the staff had to come they were there and the man's wife and him and that was our crowd but i preached like the place was packed out with thousands of people i preached on faith have faith in god just basic you know kenneth hagin messages and then i received the offering my family didn't even give my staff didn't even give up that means only two people left to give and his wife gave a loud offering you know what our offering bucket was he went by kentucky fried chicken and got buckets and she gave a live offering coins falling in the bottom and then he gave a few dollars and it took all the five seconds to count the offering that night now i got to come back in the morning at 10 o'clock and start this all over again well his wife had to work so he lost one of her crowd but he came and so i preached word of faith received the offering now i told my family you better give today you understand me are you going to find your own way back home you're going to give today and i gave my daughters money to give you know so the offering was a little bit better not much but a little bit better and then we had the afternoon service at three o'clock and there was a couple more people showed up that he had invited to come so now we got you know a little bit different crowd in there and i preached just like that place was packed out and i did that that night we gained a few more people i did it the next morning and the next afternoon the last day i'm going to be there i'm preaching now y'all understand i can see main street from where i'm preaching because the laundromat was all glass and i could see people walking by and every once while people would stop and put their face up against the window and i'll wipe the dust off the window and look in there and wonder what's going on in this abandoned laundromat and i'd see them and i'd go like this and they said no and they'd wipe off but there was a pickup truck that pulled out in front and i'm preaching and i i see the truck and i see the man in the truck and the man in the trucks got a straw hat billed overalls and the man had to weigh at least 265 pounds 275 pounds he was a large man and he got out of that truck and he walked into the laundromat and i thought he's just going to take a chair or two and um he didn't he just kept walking toward me took that straw hat off walked up to me now he was a country boy i'm a country boy but this boy was country and i'll do my best to sound like him he made gomer powell look civilized he took off that straw head and he said i was out on my tractor plowing my field god spoke to me and said there's a young preacher boy in andrews in the laundromat needing an airplane are you him although there couldn't be two of us doing this i got to be him [Applause] he said now i was out on my tractor i said what's your name sir he said my name is hoop i said oop i thought what in the world was his mama thinking when she named him i guess he was so big when he came out she went oop you know and then the name stuck you know [Applause] i said no mr hoop would you like to take a seat i'm not through preaching no i wouldn't he said i said i was out on my tractor plowing my field he said i don't do nothing less god tells me i don't go anywhere unless god tells me i wouldn't be here right now unless god told me you got to pitch your sonny boy kept calling me sunny boy i said yes sir mr hoop i got the picture he said now is that on my i said i got that part i'm out on my tractor plowing my field and god told me and then he interrupted he stopped and he said now i want you to understand something sonny boy i don't have no education i quit school in the third grade i can't read nor write but god taught me how to hear the voice of the spirit of god and that's the way i live i don't do nothing lest god tells me i wouldn't be here right now unless god told me i'd still be on my tractor unless god told me to come down to andrews to the laundromat to help you sonny boy you got the picture i said yes sir mr hoop i got the picture i said what did god tell you to do he told me to bring you some money you need an airplane that's the first person outside of me my wife my two daughters four staff members and kenneth and gloria copeland ever heard god about my airplane mr hoop and oops started pulling money out of every pocket in them bib overalls and just piled it at my feet he had money stuffed in that straw hat it came from everywhere just piled it at my feet then he put that straw head on and said i did what god told me to do and god told me to leave now and you'll never see me again unless god tells me bye he walked out and got in the truck left i looked at my wife and i said did this really happen he said look at your feet he had money piled up to my shins now it wasn't enough to buy the airplane and pay cash but it was the first person who ever heard god that sold into my airplane oop got the ball rolling so to speak i came home after that meeting and i i've got this money to go toward the airplane didn't come close to being able to pay cash for an airplane but it was a start i i like to call it the law of progression first the blade then the ear then the full corn in the air oops money was the blade okay and i knew it's just a matter of time and that airplane i'm going to be flying it soon because the blade came up okay so i'm at home now and the lord said son do you really believe you received an airplane when you prayed i said yes sir i do he said why aren't you acting like it faith without corresponding actions is void of power i said well lord how does one act like he has an airplane go stand out on the runway how do you act like you have an airplane walk around town doing this [Applause] he said no where do you intend to keep it you can't keep it in the backyard son i said no i'm going to keep it at the airport in a hangar he said do you have a hangar i said no he said what are you waiting on i said the airplane he said i thought you said you believed you received it when you prayed [Applause] i stand corrected lord i'll go get a hanger i went out to meacham airport downtown fort worth i don't even know where to go to get to talk to somebody about a hangar somebody told me who was the general manager and rented all the hangars out there so i went to his office i said sir i need a hanger he said well there's a there's a waiting list we don't have any available right now i said no you don't understand i gotta have one today he said there's not any available today there's a waiting list he said i'll let you fill out an application i said i'll fill out the application but i need a hanger today he said it's not it's not possible but fill out the application and i'll put you on the waiting list i said that won't do but i'll fill out the application so the application name jerry savelle organization jerry's we were known as jerry savelle evangelistic association back then address put to address phone number put the phone number type aircraft lefty blank color aircraft lefty blank single engine twin engine turbo jet left it blank in number left it blank the only thing else i could fill in was signature sign my name hand it back to it he said you didn't complete the application i said i put in there all i know he said do you have an airplane i said yes i do he said but you don't know the end number on the airplane i said no i don't he said you don't know if it's single engine twin engine turbo jet no i don't he said do you ever fly this airplane i said not yet he said we don't we don't even if i had a hanger i couldn't rent it to somebody that don't really have an airplane i said i really do have an airplane well i knew i wouldn't get anywhere with him and i had a little new testament in my pocket i pulled it out and i opened the hebrews chapter 11 and i read it now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen i said do you understand that he said no i said well you don't have to i understand it now i need a hanger he said we cannot give hangers to people that don't really have airplanes i said you're not listening i really have an airplane you just can't see it well we only ran hangers to people that you can see their airplane [Applause] i said okay are you a christian he said yes i am i said okay no sir i just want you understand if you don't give me a hanger today you are blocking me from receiving my airplane now if you face god and he says to you why did you prevent jerry savelle from having his first airplane can you live with that he said no sir i can i'll give you my hair and he gave me his hand he gave me his hanger and the next week my airplane manifested hallelujah glory to god the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough hallelujah hallelujah amen amen amen go ahead and be seated hallelujah oh i love telling that story praise god how many of you remember or have heard of a man by the name of rust half he used to be with the imperials well russ worked for me before he went to the imperials and russ came to work for me when he was about 18 years old and he was there when i got that first airplane and and we were going up to uh illinois the university of illinois campus to do a meeting back then they called them jesus rallies and so we were going up there and of course russ was going to sing and i'm going to preach and we're going to be there for three nights and on the way up there the lord told me and i told russ i said the lord said to me while you're here i don't want you to receive any offerings in this meeting i said lord why would i not want to receive an offering in this meeting he said because i'm going to prove to you that i can meet your needs in other ways than an offering in a meeting you're doing i said okay so i told russ i said russ uh we're not going to receive any offerings in this meeting now russ was young and and he was just learning faith now he he'd been a christian his dad had been a pastor so he he wasn't unfamiliar with christianity but he was unfamiliar with the life of faith and and and he he's he knows he has to believe god for his salary okay i told him just like kenneth copeland told me the first day i showed up to go to work for kenneth copeland he welcomed me to fort worth welcomed me to the ministry and then he said this if you ever get paid it'd be because you use your faith we use our faith around here i thought well thank you sir good to see you too that was my that was my introduction if you ever get paid you have to use your faith we use our faith around here he said now just so you have a point of contact to release your faith all i can pay you is 80 a week now this is 1971. i hadn't made 80 a week since i was 14 years old i left a business to go into the ministry but at least it was 80 a week now he was young in the ministry too he'd only been preaching two years when i joined him and as i said in one of the other services people didn't know who kenneth copeland was yet you know i mean he's launching a ministry and the first trip we went on portsmouth virginia oh all up in that area the first week we were there now i knew that was pay week and i i told brother copeland's dad a.w copeland i said and we all called him granddad i said granddad when it comes time for my first check would you see that carolyn and and my girls get it because i'll be gone i'll be up with brother copeland he said yeah i will so the first week brother copeland calls me into his room and said jerry daddy just called me he said uh we had enough money to pay the bills but there wasn't enough money to pay you and he said i told you if you ever get paid it'd be because you use your faith now i wanted to ask i didn't ask did you get paid i didn't ask he didn't he didn't say anything but i assumed he got paid so i'm the only one that didn't get paid he said are you using your faith i said i sure thought i was he said well you better stay on your faith if you're going to get paid i know carolyn needs it i said yes sir so i was rooming right next door to him and this little hotel we're in now i'm telling you you could hear everything three rooms down through the walls and and i could hear brother copeland and gloria in conversation over there when i went back to my room man my room became a wailing wall i walked from one end of that other and i quoted every scripture i knew and when i got through all the scriptures i quoted the maps i quoted the index i needed my check and brother copeland and gloria heard me and we went to the meeting that night and i got them back to the hotel after the service that night and the next morning we went and the next afternoon we went and then finally he called me into his room and he said jerry uh daddy called right after you went to your room and said he was on his way out the door and there was a guy standing at the door and and granddad was about to lock the door it was five o'clock in the evening and he was about to go home and he said there was a guy standing at the door waving a check and he said uh a.w i tried to get over here earlier to give you this check it's it's it's a portion of a tithe that i wanted to give brother copeland's ministry and i'm sorry i got here late but but go ahead and take it and uh you can you can send me a receipt for it later and he said and dad called me and told me about that and he said and tell jerry that we got his check to carolyn now brother copeland waited two days to tell me this i said well sir would you mind me asking you why you waited two days to tell me this funny he said well gloria and i excuse me we heard you praying when you left our room and man he said now as we say in west texas you were shucking the corn boy i mean you were praying over there and i told gloria let's not tell jerry that he got paid he'll believe god for next months too [Laughter] well i that's the way i was broke into living by faith working for the ministry and now i broke in russ taft that way i said russ you ever get paid because you use your faith okay brother jerry so one of his first meetings we're going to illinois and i turn to him and say russ the lord told me not to receive any offerings in this meeting his eyes got that big what and i knew what he's thinking i perceived his thoughts why am i going to get paid i said i know what you're thinking russ god told me he's going to prove to us that he can provide for us in ways outside of an offering in a meeting he said are you sure about this brother jerry i said i'm sure we're not going to receive an offer from the whole time we're here and i preached three services a day for three days on the illinois university of illinois campus and then back then the full gospel businessmen were big prominent organization and the president of that chapter asked me to stay over for their banquet the next night and i told him i would and uh he's and the lord said and don't receive an offering from the full gospel businessmen either i'm going to prove to you that i can supply your needs without you receiving an offering i said okay so i told russ russ we're going to stay one more day and we're going to go do the full gospel business banquet and we're not going to receive an offering because i got big again brother jerry are you sure i knew what he's thinking well how am i going to get paid well he called me the full gospel businessman president called me before that night for the banquet and he said no brother jerry we're a small chapter and we usually don't have but maybe 20 people show up and he said i can't guarantee you a dime in fact our chapter is in the red and he said i should have told you this before i invited you but i don't know that i can give you a dime i said sir that doesn't that doesn't bother me because god told me not to receive an offering anyway and then i heard this come out of me i heard this come on and and and the lord said and tell him you're going to pay for the banquet you're going to pay for all the meals of the banquet i said and i'm going to pay for the banquet russ's eyes got big i'm thinking 20 people's going to show up we got there that night 200 people showed up and i'm footing the bill for all this and i'm leaving town with absolutely no offering at all the expense of all this and russ is thinking what was i thinking when i came to work for this idiot you know i said russ you just watched god is gonna god's gonna do something supernatural he's the god of the breakthrough so we stopped on our way home in texas canada now if you've never been to texas canada it's the border is part of its texas part of its arkansas that's really called texacana and right there on on the border just just on the the arkansas side there is an el chico's restaurant that i've eaten at many times when i used to drive through there and i told russ we're gonna stop at el chico's in texas canada and and have some lunch before we go on home so we walked in there and it's past noon and you know most people already eaten and gone home and we walked in and there's one couple sitting over there an elderly couple and we they they give us take us to our seat give us a menu we order our meal and we're just talking i said now rush you mark my words you're going to see a miracle he's the god of the breakthrough and so in a little while this couple over on the other side of the room got up and walked over to me and said aren't you jerry savelle i said yes i am they said you remember that meeting you did out in the front yard in in a little town in arkansas and you preached from their front porch and everybody brought their lawn chairs and sat out in the front yard i said oh yeah i'll never forget that meeting he said well we were there and that's when we gave our lives to the lord that's when we got filled with the holy ghost and that's when we started living by faith and said we were sitting over there and and my wife said you know sweetheart uh we haven't sent brother jerry an offering in quite a while and and he's the reason why we're experiencing all this i think we ought to send him an offering so they sat down there and wrote a check out and they got ready to leave and looked over and saw me and said well we were headed to the post office to mail this and since you're already here you just saved us a stamp would you would you receive this i said yes i would thank you very much and prayed over them with it and i hadn't opened the check yet and prayed with them over it and then thanked them and they left and i still got to check folded and russ is standing there you know sitting there you know inquiring minds want to know i looked down at the check i said russ what have i been telling you the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough look at this it covered an entire month of our ministry operation and paid for all their meals paid for all that uh rental of that auditorium on the university of illinois campus and more than enough leftover praise god hallelujah the god of the breakthrough amen i taught rust have how to live by faith when armand who was the founder of the imperials called me and said we've lost our lead singer can we borrow russ i said how long do you need it he said about six weeks we're on tour for about six weeks and and and we'd like to borrow russ and i said well armin if you'd have called me a year earlier i wouldn't have sent him because he wouldn't be ready but he's got the word in him now he's strong in his faith now and i'll send him i'll let you i'll let you borrow rice so russ came back after that six weeks i said what'd you think russ he said i was living my dream i was living my dream i said well that's what the lord told me and i know this is what's been in your heart and so i'll release you to the imperials and i'm going to bless you before you go and of course the rest is history he took the imperials to another level now not too long ago i'm in alaska just on some vacation time and i'm i'm out in a stream catching king salmon and i look down at my phone and it's russ i said hey russ what you doing he said hey dad he said i'm sitting in this auditorium tonight in nashville and i've just received a lifetime achievement award and i couldn't help but think of you and i just wanted to call you and thank you for teaching me how to live by faith hallelujah amen now from time to time my daughters surprised me because they grew up with russ he was working for us when they were little girls and they both claimed they were going to marry him someday you know and so russ and my daughters have been extremely close and his wife tori streaming close to my daughters and they surprised me from time to time and i'll i'll be at our church back home and i'm not there that often but every once while when i'm there i'm sitting in in the speaker's room and i'll hear this voice and it's undeniable that is rust half and they've called him said would you come surprise daddy and i walk out there and there's rust singing praise god and nobody can sing quite like rust hath amen god's the god of the breakthrough he's been breaking through for me for 52 years not once has he ever disappointed me not once not once oh i think we ought to give him a praise he's the faithful god he's the faithful god can you say amen all right you still here pastor rodney told me you wouldn't leave till i'm done all right listen to this let's just build on this for a little bit isaiah speaking or god speaking through isaiah once again i will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert so that means that no matter what the situation is or the circumstances god can make a way the wilderness and the desert are symbolic of places that are barren and unfruitful and god is saying i am the god of the breakthrough even in places that are barren and unfruitful amen now listen to this the prophet ezekiel god speaking through him said i will make my holy name known in the midst of my people i will make my holy name known in the midst of my people one commentary for that verse says this that's ezekiel 39 7. commentary says all that is represented in god's name his holiness his truth his faithfulness and fulfilling his promises his power his goodness his protection his provision is all in his name and he said i will make my holy name known in the midst of my people you know what's so powerful about speaking the name of jesus the bible says his name shall be called the word of god when you speak the name of jesus you just threw it the devil from genesis to revelation all in one name his name shall be called the word of god hallelujah i mean i i've done that in moments where i didn't have time to pray a long prayer and all i could say was jesus and that's all it took hallelujah because in that name it's from genesis to revelation praise god hallelujah now david the psalmist was known for referring to god and giving god names that were symbolic of certain things that god delivered david out of such as listen to this psalm 23 1 the lord is my shepherd he's referring to god as the shepherd in psalm 27 1 the lord is my light and my salvation whom shall i fear he's referring to god as his light and his salvation in that same verse the lord is the strength of my life whom shall i fear he's saying in one verse god is my light god is my salvation and god is my strength that represents things that god did for him it represents uh characteristics of god psalm 28 7 the lord is my shield i'll trust in him psalm 42 9 god is my rock notice all these names represent something god did for david and he he referred to him according to what he did and gave him a name for it he's my rock he's my shield he's my buckler you ought to go through the psalms and just read just the number of times that david gave god names and every name that david gave him represents a part of the personality of god something god is capable of doing look at psalm 42 verse 9 or listen to this he's my rock psalm 46 1. god is my refuge he's my strength a very present help in time of trouble psalm 50 verse 1 the mighty god some psalm 57 verse 2 god is the one who performs all things for me psalm 62 2 he is my defense i shall not be moved psalm 71 5 thou art my hope my lord god psalm 77 14 the the god that doeth wonders see everything god is or david is saying about god represented something god just did in his life amen and remember what we read i will make known my name to my people what's in a name what's in the name of god what's in the names of god you you know these things jehovah jireh our provider amen jehovah rapha our healer amen jehovah neethi those represent those names represent characteristics abilities powers and manifestations of the god we serve can you say amen now one of my favorite descriptions of god is found in the book of job and it's found in job chapter 5 and verse 9. go there with me job chapter 5 and verse 9. job referring to god says of him which doeth great things and unsearchable marvelous things without number speaking of god he does great things and unsearchable and marvelous things without number now what i really like is the message translation now listen to this after all he's famous for great and unexpected acts there's no end to his surprises i love that let me read it again because i want to hear it after all he's famous for great and unexpected acts there's no end to his surprises so i like to refer to god as the god of surprises see like the psalmist david he's my rock he's my fortress he's my buckler he's my shield for me he's my god of surprises and why would i call him my god of surprises because he's constantly surprising me amen constantly constantly somebody said well he never surprises me well without a ugly attitude i wouldn't surprise you either i expect him to surprise me and he does all the time amen i mean i was richard and lindsey roberts and carolyn and i were out having lunch one day and carolyn and lindsey are up front driving and richard and i are in the back and everybody's talking and richard and i are talking about something and all of a sudden i get a you know a notice i get a message on my phone and i say excuse me richard let me let me look at this message it was from one of my partners he said brother jerry i've heard you talk about the 65 gto you used to race before he went in the ministry he said and i remember you telling us how that you had to sell it when you went to basic training went on active duty so that carolyn would have money to live on while you were going and i heard you say one of the cars you always wish you still had was that 65 gto oh it was a hot car 389 four-speed three deuces i burned rubber everywhere i went carolyn wouldn't even ride with me she'd ride in her little six-cylinder falcon i couldn't be seen in her car but anyway i'm just i'm just sitting back there minding my own business enjoying a conversation with richard and this text comes up and he's talking to me about that 65 gto and he said and i've just had one totally restored and the first person i thought of was you would you like to have my 65 gto i text him back and i said is the pope catholic yes sir i would love to have your 65 gto and i leaned over to showed richard i said read this and richard started singing little gto you know the beach boys and i said carolyn look at this she said i don't believe that she said to lindsay my husband just thinks it and god does it and then i heard the lord say as we're all praising god i heard him say surprise i said oh boy you did surprise me and then uh he said i'll have it delivered to you he said now let me tell you this it's one of the rarest models of the 65 gto that was built that year it's the tiger gold model a limited edition it's it's painted beautiful gold with a black vinyl top four speed 389 three two barrels hearst shifter and it was a limited edition model that year okay when they delivered it to my museum i'm looking around this car oh man it's beautiful it is so beautiful the restoration on this car was absolutely immaculate and when i i remembered when i had my 65 gto back in the 60s i remember seeing a a gold uh model tiger gold model in the showroom when i got mine and they were a little more expensive than the one i had and i remember the salesman showing a customer he opened the trunk and in the trunk was a stuffed tiger symbolic of the tiger gold 65 gto i thought i wonder if that tiger is in the trunk of this car and i open it up and it's smiling at me and i heard the lord say again surprise [Applause] surprise oh it's a beautiful car i took jesse to plant us riding in it he screamed like a girl [Applause] and he went to holland i'm 16 again i'm 16 again oh it's a fun car god is always surprising me these guys travel with me everywhere i go and they can tell you i'm not making this up god's always surprising me amen but i expect it and not because i'm so good because he's so good amen he's the god of surprises he's the god of the breakthrough well you don't get to be called the god of the breakthrough if you don't ever break through you don't get to be called the god of surprises if you're never surprising people amen now let me wrap it up with this let's let's look at a story in first chronicles chapter 14. how am i doing pastor okay first chronicles chapter 14. and let's begin in verse 8. and when the philistines heard that david was anointed king of all israel all the fist philistines went up to seek david and david heard of it and went out against them and the philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of rephraim and then it says and david inquired of god saying shall i go up against the philistines and will thou deliver them into my hand and the lord said unto him go up for i will deliver them out of or into that hand so they came up for male partisan and david smith them there then david said god has broken in upon my enemies in uh by my hand and the break as the breaking forth of waters therefore they called the name of that place where this happened in other words david made this place a memorial to god and they called it bell parisim and in the literal hebrew it means the god of the breaking through amen amen the god of the breaking through that's when david and notice it was not god who gave himself that name it was david who gave god that name why because he had just experienced god breaking through for him amen and that place became a memorial so anytime anybody went by that place or or passed that way normally they laid stones on top of each other as a memorial and any time anybody went by that place and saw those stones they had to think the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough the god of the breakthrough now you and i don't lay stones today like they did in that day but i lay them in my heart every time i have a breakthrough i envision myself in my heart of laying another stone and calling it the name that god and calling it in reference to god and what he did for me at that point amen he's the god of the breakthrough he was the god of the breakthrough for david and he's the god of the breakthrough for you and me can you say amen are you hearing this tonight are you receiving this praise god he's the god of the breakthrough all right now i'm just about done not quite but just about i said all that to say this are you tonight expecting the god of the breakthrough to visit your house i think my mic went off let me ask that again are you tonight expecting the god of the breakthrough to visit your house hallelujah how would you act if the god of the breakthrough visited your house hallelujah hallelujah amen amen expectancy is very closely related to real bible faith because real bible faith expects results [Music] if you're saying i'm trusting god then you should be saying i'm expecting something to happen [Applause] saying i'm trusting god and not expecting something to happen it's not real bible faith now jesus said on numerous occasions be it unto thee according to thy faith or as thou hast believed so be it unto thee or you could say as you have expected be it unto thee be it unto thee according to your expectations everything i expect god to do he's done amen if i'm wondering if he's going to do it if i'm hoping he'll do it that doesn't produce results but when i'm expecting him to do what he said he would do i always get results hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah [Applause] don't let your circumstances convince you that there's just no way he is the way [Applause] and if you won't give up the way which is just another way of saying the god of the breakthrough will visit your house [Music] now if you have given up then i hope tonight what you've heard has stirred your faith because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of god if you have if you've been on the brink of giving up or you have given up well you came to the right place tonight you heard the right message tonight because the god of the breakthrough wants to visit your house but you got to give him something to work with faith expectancy can you say amen now if you have given up don't condemn yourself for it we've all made mistakes i hadn't made as many as you have but we've all no i'm kidding i'm kidding we've all made we've all missed it from time to time we've all been tempted to you know write it off as a bad experience but here's the verse i always look to michael chapter 7 and verse 8 rejoice not against me o my enemy for when i fall i shall arise rejoice not against me o my enemy for when i fall i shall arise amen i want you to tell the devil right now that verse say it with me rejoice not against me o my enemy for when i fall i shall arise now say it this time like you really mean it rejoice not against me o my enemy for when i fall i shall arise amen hallelujah years ago you can remain standing because i'm about done i just say it was done but about done years ago back in the late 70s now how many of you remember when they came out with high platform shoes for men now those were not made for white boys because white boys are too clumsy but the brothers could wear them and i'm i'm in uh paducah kentucky anybody ever heard of paducah kentucky and the pastor wanted to take me out to lunch one day so we went to lunch and then he said no there's a there's a mall not real right here in this immediate area but not too far would you like to go to the mall i said yeah i would i usually always brought my wife something back and my daughters and so we went to the mall and we're on the second level and there's an escalator going down to the first level now there was a black gentleman that was about to get on the escalator now this guy he owned a white suit black and white patent shoes a felt hat with a feather sticking up glasses about this wide just barely covered his eyes and when he got up to that escalator he wanted to make sure everybody in that mall saw how cool he was so he walks up there looking around making sure everybody sees how cool he is and when he went to put his first his foot on that first step his heel he had on him high platform his heel got caught in the step now we're we're coming up right behind him and he falls in over in down the escalator this man is so cool he never lost his hat when he got to the bottom he landed on his feet and he looked around and said well all right and then walked off now i know it hurt him i knew it had to hurt him but he just will all right and just walk right off never lost his hat and i just screamed that man knows micah 7 8. when i fall i shall arise now i don't know what he did when he got outside when nobody could see him he probably oh dear god over but while he was in there where everybody could see him he remained cool and i've learned to do that with the devil that will try to trip you up just say well all right devil when i fall i shall arrive and just walk off amen i remember oh way back in 1973 i'm preaching in hot springs arkansas on a farm in the pasture you can't believe some of the places i preached in a pasture and people brought their own chairs we don't have a sound system nothing people just he sold a farm brought chairs and quilts to lay the kids on and they built a little plywood platform for me to preach from and it was about four foot high and it was four by eight plywood and i'm preaching and boy i'm getting excited and i got excited and i'm preaching and i got too close to the edge now they had a band even though we didn't have a sound system a praise and worship team and the bass drum was down here on the ground and i got too close to the edge and fell off that platform and my bottom landed in the bass drum my arms and legs are sticking out of the bass drum everybody got up to see where i went it was embarrassing i fell off the platform into the bass drum i said lord what do i do he said get up quick boy don't ask any more questions i said well what do i tell the people he said don't tell them anything just act like this way you preach all the time take up where you left off i climbed out of that bass drum got back up there and just just took off where i stopped i never said a word about falling off but there's always some christian who wants to major on the fallen down and this woman came up to me she said brother jerry how come you to fall i said i didn't come to fall later it was an accident but did you see me get up wasn't that a nice recovery she said do you fall often i said lady i don't want to talk to you about the fault did you see me get up she said is there something wrong with you do you need prayer i said lady i'm not talking to you about the fall did you see me get up wasn't that a remarkable recovery i could not change her mind i finally just had to walk off because she wanted to major on the fall and i realized probably that described her christian life that she never got over her faults she never got over her failures she never got over her mistakes she never got over her shortcomings why because she wanted to major on the fall don't major on the fall get up amen the lord said to me don't say a word about the fall just remember micah 7 8 when i fall i shall arise just get back up keep on preaching and don't even mention the fall hallelujah hallelujah amen if you've given up it's not over remember what i told you it's never over until god says it's over and god will never say it's over until you win amen come on give the lord your best shout hallelujah hallelujah praise god praise god
