the Lord be with you and with your spirit a reading from the holy Gospel According to St Matthew GL to you Jesus exclaimed I bless you father Lord of Heaven and of Earth for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to Mere children yes Father for that is what it pleased you to do everything has been entrusted to me by my father and no one knows the son except the father just as no one knows the father except the son and those to whom the son chooses to reveal him come to me all you who labor and are overburdened and I will give you rest shoulder my yoke and learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest for your souls yes my yoke is easy and my burden light the gospel of the Lord praise to you Lord Jesus Christ you have heard about Padre Pio you have heard about the many miracles but I would like to invite everyone from the many stories you have heard about him can you be the one can you be the one among the stories [Music] that is the [Music] invitation [Music] for my dear friends my dear brothers and sisters if you we have listen carefully to the gospel the father knows the Son and the son knows the father this is not about knowledge this is not about knowledge knowing is about participating in each other's passion in each other's joy in each other's pain in each other's success what the gospel is trying to tell us is to go beyond intellectual knowledge about God Padre experience the pain the passion when I was moved to Santa Maria Goretti there was an old statue of padrio old and dirty but still in the pedestal and I look for someone to repaint it and one day I saw someone standing looking at the image of pad I was looking at him wondering but it t it took him for a while so I asked him what can I do for you and he introduced himself as a Capuchin a priest and he asked me why do you have the statue padrio of course I was honest I just said I was just recently transferred it was there and he asked me do you have a Devotion to padrio of course I cannot lie I only said I know a little something about him but personally I do not have and he said promote the devotion promote the devotion of adrio and someday you will understand why so we started promoting the devotion we pray the prayer is stay with me we dedicate the 23rd of the month a day for him honestly I'm not completely aware of what to do but we did something we did something there are times I laugh about it because there were Beggars later on turned is s who ask for money who ask for money and I was I was asking them how come you are here and they said we we went to this place this bangai looking for someone because they owe us something it so happened that they are not there and we don't have money to go back to cab Style for for talent fee [Music] [Music] lo and behold lo and behold when I was told that I will be moved to Greenville that I didn't know that padrio Petro China is the secondary patron of the chapel I did not know how can you promote something you do not know but on September 17 2022 you know that I had a stroke completely paralyzed and what sustained me in the stroke is the prayer of padrio Petr China Stay With Me Lord I do not know what will happen I cannot imagine I cannot imagine that the rest of my life I will be vegetable but I simply say through the intercession of Padre Stay With Me Lord I have a Rosary in my hands but I cannot move the beads because my hands were paralyzed Stay With Me Lord of course you know the story a completely paralyzed priest the next day was healed even the doctor who saw me the evening that said father Dave will not make it cannot imagine I was up on the second day can you really be a part of the story you have heard so many beautiful stories about padrio but the challenge of today is can you be the story that's the most difficult part the most difficult part is I was the one being healed not simply listening to stories of people being healed be aart the second reading is says can you really boast that you have partaken the suffering of Christ everybody wants to take the bread but nobody wants to take the cup of suffering everybody wants to experience the joy of success but nobody wants to talk about the many struggles the many pains The Many Tears my dear friends my brothers and sisters there are pages in our lives that we don't want to open but please please allow people to know it allow people to understand the tears are part of life pains are part of life weakness are part of life failures are part of life it is in our weakness that we are made Strong by the love of God what is the responsorial psalm says our joy is in the Lord our joy is in the Lord if you can understand that wherever you are whatever you are going through if God is there to accompany you then you know it will be a better place than somewhere else Stay With Me Lord someday you will understand it stay with me Lord Lord that we will be able we will be able to live our lives with God walking with us SA bye Jesus if God has already walked with you don't abandon God don't abandon God again my dear friends my brothers and sisters we are here to be reminded that God will always walk with us God will always be with us God will always be with you even in the times you don't feel it even in the times you don't understand it even in the way that With Me Lord for it is necessary to have your present so that I do not forget you you know how I easily abandon you stay with me Lord because weak and I need your strength that I may not fall so often Stay With Me Lord for my life and without you I am without per Stay With Me Lord for you are my light and without you I am in darkness Stay With Me Lord to show me your will stay with me Lord so that is necessary to renew my strength so that I will not stop along the way and for that I need you nothing late in death approaches I fear the darkness the Temptation the dryness the cross the Sorrows oh how I need you my Jesus in this night of Exile stay with me tonight Jesus in life with all his dangers I need you let me recognize you as your disciples did at the breaking of the bread so that the Eucharistic communion be the light which disperses the dark the force which sustain the unique Joy Of My Heart Stay With Me Lord because at the hour of my death I want to remain United to you if not by communion at least by grace and love Stay With Me Jesus I do not ask for divine consolation because I do not Merit it but the gift of your presence oh yes I ask this of you stay with me Lord for it is you alone I look for Your Love Your Grace your will your heart your spirit because I love love you and ask no other reward but to love you more and more with a firm love I will love you with all my heart while love and continue to love you perfectly during all eternity this prayer sustain me during the pandemic this prayer sustain me during my stroke again my brothers and sisters s it's good to listen to stories but can you be the story can you be this story that is the invitation the invitation of P we admire people like Simeon who carried the cross in behalf of Jesus but what was the invitation of P can you carry the cross can you carry the cross do not be afraid to be part of this story as many times I have said this live your life well because you might be the only Bible people a reading today the Lord be with you and with your spirit and may almighty God bless you and your family the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit we go in peace to love and serve the Lord
