Well,
well, well. What's going on, guys? It's
your host Falclast here. And today we are finally doing it. We are starting our Ark Survival Ascended series. And I am very excited for this. I have been trying to get things ready
for this for the past few days now. And between school and setting this up, this
definitely took priority and I'm very excited to bring this to you guys. So yeah, we're going
to go ahead and get
started and let's get right into it already, guys.
So we're going to
go ahead and get
started today. Simply, we are
just going to be trying to get some tools going and also find a nice little place to settle down for a little bit. So first things
first, I'm going to talk a little bit about
the settings that we have going and what possible features might happen to be
in this survival. So first things first, we're going to talk about the settings. So I have adjusted the settings slightly- Wow, that is a gorgeous color
for his wings. Okay. Anyway, the gather rates are, I believe, 1.5 x, if not just one x, but I know the
harvesting health is at 1.5 x, so everything is going
to give me a little bit more loot than usual. It is going to take
longer to harvest things, but it's going to yield more over time. So that's going to be
a little bit handy. On top of that, we do have 2X taming speed and as far as settings go,
everything else is the default for the hard
settings, which is going to be
fairly interesting considering that I don't really
know much about this game aside from the general premise and you know, some of the
basic dinosaurs and whatnot. I have not really gotten very far in this game before. So it’s going to be a wild ride. And
if you guys are new
to the game, too, well, you're right along with me because I have no idea what the hell is going on. So there you have
it, guys. It's going
to be fun. So I should add, if
you guys do happen to know
more than me, I will very much so appreciate any bit of
information that you guys can give me that will benefit the series. Preferably no story spoilers. Oh my God. Yeah, spoilers because I want to
figure out what's
going on in the order that I'm
supposed to. But aside from that, I believe everything is going
to be all set for
the series. So we go ahead and get our tools going stuff and making the pickax and gets our levels going into Fortitude. I should also add, I did add a couple of mods to this. Nothing too game
breaking. We've simply just a few basic things.
So we got this one mod here that adds a ton of decoration items, so
I'll be able to spruce up our builds a little bit and make
the house look much prettier than I could possibly do right now. There's
another one that adds a different type of bed, which
you guys will see once we get there. It's gonna
be down here somewhere. Right here. It's
a new type of bed. It doesn't require hide, so it's a little
bit cheaper. And that's
not the reason I got it, main reason I got it is because
it doesn't have a bag timer. I can basically just respawn whenever
I want, which I believe is going to be pretty nice. And I don't think I need to wait
for a bag timer when I am playing by myself
in PVE. So there's that. And then also I added a bunch new types of dinosaurs. Um, pretty much all of the dino mods that were on the front page as far as mods go. I added, um, they looked really cool and really well made, so I'm
very excited to see those. But yeah, so there's just a couple of things as to what we have in store for this series, and I do fully intend on trying to beat
this game and fighting all the
bosses and whatnot, as I have actually never done a boss fight in
art before. I've done breeding, I've done taming things
like that. Never once have
I attempted a boss. So that's going to
be fairly entertaining. But looks like
we have another level up here. So going to go ahead and yet again pump that into
fortitude and want to
get that up to like ten ish and then we should be doing okay as far as that goes. Another
reason why I'm putting
points into Fortitude is because
I have PTSD as far as Troodons go, and I'd prefer not to have to deal with Troodons as much in the future. But yeah, so as of right now I just want to get
some basic resources going which will allow us to a little bit better defend ourselves because everything in this world essentially wants
us dead. I'm going
to be straightforward with you
guys, so I'm a little
worried about that, but it'll be all right because once we get
our house down and we have a place
to respawn, our deaths won't matter entirely too much, but
there will be a lot
of them. I'm just warning
you guys now. Um, but yes, so as of right now, I would like to stay towards
the south because the
further up north we go, pretty much the more hostiles will spawn. I do know this map a tiny bit, so I have a couple of ideas as to places I would like to live. But if
there's any locations that you guys know of or like, I would very much so appreciate the coordinates to said location so I could go check it out at some
point. Um, because that would be honestly just really cool to pick one or else places. But aside from that which to get some spears go. I'm going at four of those because
they break relatively easily. The idea that I have is I would love to base somewhere in the South with intent of moving to a more permanent base location in the future, because
that would just kind of give us
a little bit of a linear progression. And I don't really want to push myself past the limits and I
am given as of
right now until I'm sort of ready for that new area. Um, but yes, so we did get another
level up. We're
going to and pump this into this one into weight. We'll go able to take it back a little bit on Fortitude. Um, that one doesn't need to get
leveled up entirely super fast, but I actually do recognize this
location. This location happens to be in my how to get more fps guide. So if you guys have not seen that and you are struggling to get frames in this game or you just want to see what my settings are in general, all of my settings are in that video. I did tweak things just a little bit for recording purposes, but in general all
the settings are there and you guys can see what I am running at. Alrighty, so we are actually going to go kill some things to get some XP going. I see
a bunch of dodos that are ripe for the
picking right now and I did
actually here that they can fight back. So it's going to
be interesting. I think it's only the ones that are
parents, though. Who knows? We're not going to
let them fight back though. Okay. We're out of stamina, Alright. Actually, while we are regaining stamina, we're going
to head and make a campfire so we can try to get ourselves some food going and
do not want to starve to death in a world where it is full of dinosaurs that want
to eat me, I'd rather be eaten rather than starve to death.
That's just going to be
embarrassing. So we're going to get that going a little bit. Also, I do have a question for you guys, and I
would love your opinions in
the comments. Would you guys prefer me to be in first person or third person for this series? I personally don't
have like a preference over either of them. I know first person is a
little bit more
immersive because
you're actually like,
you know, looking out of your eyes. But I also like third person because
it has some good view and I'm really torn between the two. So whatever you guys
prefer, I'm happy to use. We could tame a dodo. Nah... we need
the XP. That was that was
a very large internal debate right there, guys. I forgot those.
Give you prime meat. Oh, what the hell's going on over there? Is that
a megalodon or what? Is that? That. What is. What are they fighting? Something just killed the
Megalodon. I'd love to know what it is. Yeah, we're just not
going to mess with that. I'm kind of concerned, honestly. Oh there’s a trike! I haven't
seen one of those yet. At least in
the new update, I should say. Okay. All right, you guys,
we got us some food going, which is definitely nice. That is a big first step for us. Go ahead
and drink a quick. There's some there's
something fighting them and I want to know what it is. You're
telling me that Turtle just kicked the
Megalodon ass. It took three megs to take that turtle down, and my God, that is amazing. You guys
have made it this
far in the video. Let's get a #BossTurtle down
in the comments there. That would be insane to see. I've got to say, what do you want these dodos walking with purpose feel like a true
colonizer right now. Killing off all the
dodos again. Okay. All right,
so we need some.
Oh, yeah. We got rid of all of our wood. Oh,
we do have another level that
we can use, though.
Let's go ahead
and do that real quick. Put them back into weight again so we can carry some more stuff. I'm a
little bit of a hoarder, so you guys will come
to know that fairly quickly and we're
just going to go ahead and split that, keep that going. We'll come
back for that in a
little bit. Let's take
a look at the map quick. I do have some areas explored so far, I was just flying around on my test world there, I have not really looked around at all as far as where
I would like to
live, though. So one place that I do kind of see that piqued my interest a little bit is like down straight facing my cursor. There is like a little area that is like a
little inlet and there's a little lake there inside of a circle, and I
kind of want to
check that out. I feel like that'd be a
pretty cool spot. Um, it just, it just
looks like an
entertaining location as far as the surroundings go.
And that that doesn't look like something
where you want
to be next to. Yeah. No, we don't. We do. We don't
want to be next to that. That's
got teeth. So we're
going to go ahead
and come back over to the safety fire. Sweet. Alright
we got a decent amount of
food now. Um. I’ll let that keep cooking. As for right now, though, I really want to get across this river here, but there is an
ungodly amount of Megalodons in there right now. For some odd reason. What is? There's a big fish over there. The tip of my head. Yeah,
I've got no idea. We do need to start moving though.
I don't want to be here forever. Oh, actually, you know, try me, Bird. Let's go. And that gave us a level! That is huge. That is annoying. Come on. Hit It. Yeah, I guess we just
can't hit it. Guys, I'm sorry.
I tried my best. Okay, sweet, alright.13’s okay, for now. We can always make another campfire and cook up some more later. Um, Let’s take a dip in the water and see if there's anything in the
immediate vicinity that wants to kill us. I
do not think there is. Honestly, I think
I'm going to go for it, guys. Now or never. Oh, this is
terrifying. Oh, my God. I did
not breathe for that
entire cross. I was
so nervous. Alrighty, I actually love what
they've done with the
under underwater. That looks so good now. I genuinely feel like I could die at any
moment. That is pretty cool. As for right now, I would like to travel down this coast and find a
nice little, little spot. I do think I want to be in that little inlet area over there is that does have access to the river so we can get a
raft system going to travel inland a little bit more.
I feel like that would be a pretty good course of action because we
don't want to be super. Oh, my God, There's
a Spino on the beach. What the hell? Okay, okay. Yes, it's a Spino chilling over there. Only slightly concerning. Yeah, we're just going to turn around. Okay. Um, we do have two levels now, so we're going to
go ahead and top off our fortitude real quick and take
a look at what
we have. So, yeah,
we got the relevant bed here. That’s what we're going
to be making. We also need learn the sleeping bag, spark powder and mortar and pestle. Narcotics. Obviously, those
are huge. spyglass, always good to have. And I guess we’ll get standing torch now as well. As far as everything
else goes, they're not
entirely needed yet. I'll just
go out and learn those for building purposes. But we are all good as far
as that goes. For now, let's
go ahead and get a
move on. Spino looks like he moved inland. A li... oh never
mind, he’s right there. Okay.
So we're going to
go up into the trees, try and do a little bit of
parkour here. Look at me, guys.
I am I am gaming right now as I can't get up
a rock. Man... That is
so depressing. Okay, there we go. Wow, That guy is big. This jungle environment looks
amazing. Let’s
just hope we don't
run into any raptors. They will turn us inside out. Right now. Just
got to keep our eyes peeled and stay away from the
Spino as well. This game is so gorgeous. Holy. Also, I did forget to mention guys, this series isn't going to be entirely solo. I may or may not be having a buddy join in at some point in the near future. It would
probably be more of a visitor type of scenario, but you never know. We shall see. This location does look really nice. I like how it's got this little
edge here overlooking the beach. This is kind of cool. It's nice and open as well. I keep this one in mind. So this is the tip of this island right here. Okay. Or tip this peninsula. I guess that's what
it would be. Yeah.
Peninsula. I hear a dodo. Yeah. The grass was taller
than him. Sweet. Okay, Let’s
going to move on down this way. I'm dehydrated. Go head down towards the water. That is one thing about this
game is you run out of your vitals so quickly, Water and food, they drain at insane speeds. Ooo we’ve
got a Dilo. There we go. Let's go, guys. Level 20 Dilo, not too bad. We did break another spear,
though, so we're going to
go ahead and craft... Let’s just go ahead and craft 3. That
should be fine. We do have magenberries. Cool. And
we can eat at these
as well, I don't
know what the new berries do as far as like if they poison me or anything, so I'm
not going to go ahead and eat those... We’ll leave those alone for now and I don't think they're
going to kill me per say. But you know, you never know. These guys look so cool. I love the color. They did a really good job, as far as the new colors for animals go. I've seen some really pretty
combinations now. We're going
to go ahead and move inland here a little bit. That
little spot straight ahead at the tip of my spear looks
really cool. We do have to cross some water. Again, this does look like piranha territory too. Yeah, I *explicit* called it. Oh, God. Oh, God. Alrighty, guys.
So nothing happened, I swear. Really gotta find a way to cross this water. Okay. I think I see
the way to do it, guys. If this isn't the way. I don't know what is, man. Come on x1, Come on x2, come on x3, come on x4, come on x5, come on x6.
Get out of the
water. Okay, guys, we made it. We made it. We are across. *explicit*
yeah. Alright. Sweet, Alrighty, guys.
We got our stuff back. We are in business again. That was honestly pretty bad. I had a very strong feeling that they
were in there, and then I was
not wrong. That was pretty close. There's
a lot of Ichy’s, I think. Yeah,
Those are definitely Ichys right? Okay. Fortitude as you guys can see, we are still pretty
damn hot. So Imma
go ahead and put another point into
Fortitude. Hopefully get that ball rolling a little bit more. Um, however, we do need to cross this water again. Still. Okay. I think this is going
to be the way this is our bridge for now. Swim x1, swim x2, swim
x3, swim x4, swim x5,
swim x6. Alright,
we honestly just need
to get across before
the piranhas know we're in the water. Yeah. How you like that, right, guys? We killed one of
the perpetrators. We're
now going to take out our anger on this dodo. Actually,
now we're going to
kill this Pego. Oh,
he dodged it. Shit. Where did you
go? Oh I'm
getting juked. Okay? *sinister laugh* My god. That was dirty. Okay. Alright,
so then we're actually
going to need to make
some clothes, guys, because we are not doing to too well for heat right now. So let's go ahead
and get some of these going. We need a lot of fiber. So. Alright you guys. So we finally have a full set of clothing. It is looking pretty nice. This is a big
*explicit* rock. Alrighty guys,
we are back. I am sorry about that. It looks like the game decided to shut down after I called the Rock big. So note to self, the rocks have low self-esteem. So anyways, we are going to
end this episode here because I just had to re-farm everything that I did for the past, oh, 10, 15 minutes, give or take. I hope
