>> Dav Pilkey: Hey, everybody. This is Dav Pilkey, and today,
we are going to draw Grampa. Grampa is, of course, Petey's
father and if you learn how to draw Petey, you almost
know how to draw Grampa. So, Grampa has a big round
head, just like Petey, and two eyes, just like Petey. But he's usually very angry, so
I'm going to put the letter V up above his eyes,
right in between them. That always makes
everybody look angry. Add two ears, there. And a round nose. [ Music ] And a little line down
here, and an angry mouth. So, right now, he does
kind of look like Petey. So, we will add some
round glasses on either side of his nose. Now, he's starting
to look different. [ Music ] Now, at the bottom
of his glasses, we're going to add two little,
tiny lines, to make it look like he's kind of old and got
some wrinkles under his eyes. And then Grampa is not a fan
of shaving, so we're going to add some stubble to his face. [ Music ] And some whiskers, over
here and over here. Now, Grampa is a lot like
Petey, where he has -- on the left side, he has two
whiskers, and on the right side, he has three whiskers. Now, one of the differences
between Grampa and Petey is Grampa is -- he
slouches more than Petey does. So, instead of his body
being connected to his head at the bottom, it's actually
connected at the side, to make it look like
he's slouching. And then we'll give him a
bent elbow, here, and a hand, like he's got his
hand on his side. Now, his other hand is going
to be up in the air, like this, and he's going to be
shaking his fist angrily, as if to say, "Hey, you kids. Get out of my yard!" [ Music ] All right. So, put a little -- a
couple little movement lines on either side of his hand, and
then we'll add some stripes. And he's a lot like Petey. It doesn't really
matter how many stripes, or if he has the same number
of stripes on each arm. Sometimes, it's the same. Sometimes, it's different. It doesn't really matter. Now, his legs are usually bent. So, we're just going to draw
two bent lines, like this, and two squishy feet, like this. And then we'll put
some stripes there. [ Music ] Now, remember that Grampa's
tail is round at the end. So, it's a little bit
like Petey's tail, except that the tip
of it is round. And we'll add some
more lines there. And then we'll put some grass
down there, at the bottom, so he has something
lovely to stand on. And there he is. There's Grampa, in
all his grouchy glory. If you want to make him
look like he's really mad, you can add some steam coming
out of his head, up there. Now, he's really angry. Okay? Anyways, I hope you
had fun, drawing Grampa, and I hope you're doing well. Take care of yourselves
and each other. We'll see you soon. Bye-bye.
