hello and welcome today we're going to talk about what you can do to get ready for a wipe in dark and darker and we know there is a wipe coming up soon so hopefully this video will give you an overview and just some things to think about as you're waiting maybe you are watching this as the patch is coming up right now because you have some time and otherwise you are in the dungeon but without further Ado let's get right into sort of 10 things you can do to get ready for a wipe so first up a great strategy for an extraction looter like dark and darker is finding some people to play with so obviously the lfg channels on the official Discord are a great way to do that and it's a great place to just find some people that you uh kind of vibe with find some people that are playing around your play times and ideally if you can build a community that you have a small group of people you can kind of rotate in and out depending on who's available that line up and you can play with consistently to practice your communication that is ideal but number two if you don't want to play without others and that's totally fine or you have friends that aren't always on when you're on you can practice soloing in either obviously the goblin caves and practice finding the exits and learning the verticality of that it is a pretty difficult map so end of wipe time is a great time to just do a bunch of goblin caves runs you become really familiar with the mobs in there but alternatively you can also practice ratting it out in the ruins or the Crypt so it's actually pretty easy to get out on these Maps as a Solo character especially if you just play really carefully stick to the outside and generally just take your time make sure you always have a plan to escape bring in a few potions to counteract the Swarm damage because you might have to go for a married judge through the Swarm but ratting it out can be a great strategy and just practicing that and as a way to get money is a great way to prepare for the white number three stay positive so whether you're playing with strangers or friends or even just by yourself the best way to avoid tilting is staying positive and this will help you maintain a good momentum in the life so you're going to lose get kits you're gonna lose your gear you're gonna have bad calls you're gonna make mistakes your friends are gonna make mistakes you're friendly cleric is accidentally going to heal the Barbarian and miss you and you're gonna die it's okay it happens part of the game just dust yourself off regroup and get back in there and make it back and that leads us to number four tackling the gear fear end of wipe is actually a great time to get over the gear fear and this is the idea of you hoard everything in your stash you don't want to take your best gear out you're just going to run that gray or default kit you know make a little bit of money and You're Gonna Save All That gear for a rainy day well guess what the rain is here wipe is coming put on your best gear go out there and just notice what it feels like you know how many more hits uh you can survive how fast much faster you kill skeletons you're killing them in two three you're killing them in one hit if you're a big beefy Barb and you know getting that gear on and losing it and getting comfortable with losing it and just realizing it's all going away anyways it was never yours to keep to begin with so just have fun and feel free to get you know rolled wearing your best stuff and then just dive right back into another game with your next best stuff number five play every class it used to be a goal of mine to hit at least level 15 on every class during the play tests and that was pretty fun and it let me experience all different aspects of the game so whenever I was in the dungeon playing against a class I always sort of knew what kit and what abilities they were likely to run what perks they most likely had and what their weaknesses and strengths were and that's a great way to learn the game and become better both in PvP and PVP knowing what your allies could be doing and bringing in to support you or knowing what your enemies are likely to do and what things you can do against them so playing every class is great for that reason but also it can just help you be comfortable playing more than one class so that when wipe comes if you're looking for new people to play with or more people to play with you have that flexibility as well you can hop on a support character or you can be a Frontline character or you can be a ranged character whatever they need for that group composition the more classes you can play the easier it is is going to be to find people that want to play with you number six practice perfecting your PVE so once you become familiar with the attack patterns of every enemy taking damage from PVE should be very rare pretty well will only happen if there's other players around it's often easier for even basic melee enemies to be killed by a single person and sometimes new players will like to you know team up and coordinate to take things down they think a little bit faster but which is what the way aggro works oftentimes that quick swap on the skeleton footman is going to cause more damage and they aren't that threatening to deal with so it's not like you need to tag team them and kill them really really fast but practice enemies practice taking on some of the more Elite enemies like the race and the skeletal Champions they get better Loot and a lot of new players seem to be a little bit adverse and want to screw it around and avoid these when they don't have as much gear but with a little bit of practice and a little bit of positioning know-how you can take these enemies down fairly quickly even with some basic equipment and that gives you access to New Paths in the dungeon as well as just better loot drops number seven speaking of practicing clearing PVE practice going through red portals head on down to Hell and start learning the map down there know what enemies spawn there's new Elite mobs in terms of the the demon Centaur and the the Champions so make sure you're practicing on those enemies as well getting familiar with what it feels like to be fighting constant red skeletons and red skeletal arches and crossbowmen getting more familiar with that threshold of how many hits it's going to take to clear them what paths are gonna go how the circles tend to close and which modules are going to be safer for you to camp out in and which modules are a little bit more dangerous also getting familiar with the PVE bosses down in hell can be a great thing to do near end wipe so feel free to take some of your best gear and just donate it to the dungeon trying to learn how to take down the Lich number eight learn the modules so even though Maps can change and iron makes likes to mix the modules up a little bit the individual modules themselves are fairly set so learning where enemies like to spawn where those skeletal corpses are they're gonna rise up where the archers are where the skeletal Mages are whereas all the loot spawns and where those sneaky Rogues like to hide in the Raptors are all great things to do and most importantly if you can actually learn and memorize where the nearest altar of sacrifice is so you can bring back Fallen comrades quickly that can really help your extraction rate in the dungeon number nine try all the maps Goblin caves obviously is great for when you're solo it is a little bit more challenging than some of the other Maps but give the ruins a try it has great loot it has quite a few extracts at the end and there's some interesting things going on there as well so don't feel like you just need to play Halloween Crips and also don't forget about High Roller near the end of the wipe is a great time to donate some gear to the dungeon and if you have that extra money laying around they've lowered the ante so just feel free to take in some even base kits just to learn what High Roller feels like see you did a different map modules see the different layouts of the maps and see what it feels like fighting those more geared players and on that note take more fights number 10. the end of a wipe is a great time to practice your PVP skills people are bringing in a little bit more gear on average and you're going to find more and more coordinated teams in the dungeon so this is a great time to practice your team fighting which is going to give you a head start when the fresh pipe is here so learning the modules learning the positions learning how and when and where you can rotate where traps are where traps could spawn where exits and things could spawn learning all these parts of the map can really help you in your coordinated team fights and then just learning what are different strategies that your composition has when fighting you know a buff ball team or if you're fighting against more like a range team that is running something like a barred wizard Ranger they're going to be launching things at you from far away like how are you closing the Gap how are you going to reposition where do you want to take bites with your composition what are some strategies you need to consider so those are hopefully 10 things that will help you maybe there was at least one thing in there to consider just have some fun dark and dark has been a super fun game game and I look forward to playing so much more there'll be a lot more content coming out and if you like this definitely feel free to sub and like and I will catch you in the dungeon [Music]
