while it feels like we haven't got this for a while Daniel I would just say it's the the best result in any format since 2021 Russian Grand Prix how did that on for did that feel actually like a threshold for you like you needed that did you not yeah I mean every every big result always feels like it's a needed one uh yeah it's just a it's a it's a happy feeling it's a it's a powerful feeling you know to also to back up yesterday you know qualifying was obviously great but to to back it up over the course of obviously a Sprint race that's even even more satisfying so feels feels feels very good and nice to also keep a few people quiet it was really fun to watch good job what did you have to do on track to keep them behind were was there a strategy to it was there a place you could back someone up where did you feel like you could take a breather because they were breathing down your neck the whole time yeah I I literally just stopped sweating like I mean I'm still sweating a little bit but I I couldn't I couldn't breath the whole race you know I was just I I figured I'll try my best to keep them behind if the tires you know go then they go but I was like every lap I could defend I was for me that was like a pat on the back so I was just like stuff it let's just go let's go and if my tires give up then so be it so they didn't sorry so they didn't they didn't great result mate great result um but where do it come from what what's the area of the car that suddenly you feel oh that seems to be working for me now so we I mean I look I think there's two parts to it we changed chassis in China and immediately I I honestly felt something I felt like more feeling a bit more confidence in what the car was going to give me um it's not that it was far off but there was just something missing you know compared to Yuki the start of the year I could just feel like I wasn't able to to do what he was able to do in in most you know a lot of the corners so I knew there was something there so I think there really was something with a chassis maybe the team still doesn't think so but I do they never do uh yeah I know and then we had a Flo a floor a floor upgrade here and I think that's helped us in the high speed it's been a tough go of it do you feel like this weekend like maybe the team can trust you a little bit more when you say things like the car is not okay and then you get a change like that and it's come alive for you do you feel like you're building a good amount of trust within the team then yeah absolutely I think also you know through those first few races I was like let's say staying on them and making sure that they didn't start to Panic or second guess us or what we were doing and cuz that's when you can start to go down a negative spiral you know so I just like I knew we were trying to look for something but I just told him like let's just let's let's stay on course let's not try and reinvent the wheel I'm good we're good we'll get it and uh fortunately no one hit the panic button and we were good we always talk in sport Daniel about momentum how important it is you would denied the opportunity to get the result perhaps you deserved in in Shanghai but you got a double opportunity here haven't you in Miami clearly there's other people over there scratching their heads about whether they're going to change their setup you've got it right what can you do in qualify how'd you get your head into that and it's a good opportunity to get a massive Hall of points isn't it this weekend yeah it's it's it's exciting now obviously another another qual and race to to come right now I need to come down a little bit um I'm going to take 30 minutes just to just to chill out and then um then we'll think of a plan for qual obviously we can change a car yeah um not that we probably want to but we have to stay openminded let's touch again Daniel let's hope we speaking like this again tomorrow best of luck really appreciate it there we go
