okay pray see Jesus we are good wow it's a bunch of you showed up this morning in love with Jesus and I commit and everybody walked through the door everybody's just dinner I like it what's going on everybody was fired up this morning it's good oh my goodness thanks thanks thanks for loving Jesus in this house amen you guys were funny III last night if you were here I just had the bad I had the best seat in the house I mean they're just the expressions out there I felt Lord what am I saying tonight because people was like it was it was just funny ops like there was about every expression out there but I felt like the Lord was really loving on us it was just dropping in so what I want to appreciate and honor this morning is hearts to receive amen just thanks for being open when you learn something new when something goes whoa even if it's one of those dumb moments like uh-uh nothing why didn't I see it don't ever get frustrated when yeah I've had a few people say why didn't I know this before why did I mean you ought to rejoice you're seeing it now and just get excited there's nothing negative about nothing when you're growing in the Lord amen so I said the adjacent a fella come up to me one one time after a service then and he said man you did me a great injustice tonight not saying everybody was all excited it was kind of like night last night this one fella came up and it just Oh see Jesus will leave the 99 for the one so you can see well everybody else is getting it you know sorry he ain't seeing right I don't have that capacity I want him to get it too but he came up and said you did me a great injustice tonight I said what he said you didn't give me a glass of milk you just dumped the whole truck on me what am I gonna do with a whole dump load of milk on me you just dump the truck on me man and I'm thinking okay milk is good you know so you don't have to drink the whole truck like people say you gave me too much it's that's no way you take what's thump in your heart that's what God's saying to you in the now and everything else you believe is deposited in how do you know or come to your remembrance in every time a need that's why I've read my Bible my whole life Holy Spirit has taught me to read my Bible believing he'll bring it to one remembrance and every time I need I don't have a store Bank of knowledge I don't have memorization I don't have anything like that going it comes when it's needed no matter what situation I'm in the word just comes why because I'm in faith for that I've been in relationship and I've sewed him into my heart and he comes out in the moment you see what I mean so I'm not under any pressure I don't have to perform I don't have to produce he's in me Christ in me hope of glory hey man it's just really good so Christ flowing through me is the manifestation of that very glory but it comes through relationship okay so I just want to honor you and just thank you last night you guys were sitting ducks man I mean it was like you guys were awesome I was like what a bunch of amazing arts so it was just like because no matter where your hearts are I'm gonna bring it you know what I mean I mean I will plow a ground if I have to but I'll tell you what's fun is sowing seed in water and cause increases next so plowing ground is a process that that's important in our hearts need prepared to receive that seat so if I'm in a setting where people are trying to figure me out or assess me it don't man I'm just gonna bring it and be me and in short time God's gonna work all that out in the heart but last night you guys were amazing so thank you bless you and I'm excited about just the rest of this weekend so I want to talk a little bit this morning because it's on my heart all morning really really go into relationship and communion with the Lord and and and man don't think you know well we know this we heard his please stay open always when somebody teaches on something even if you feel like you just did a whole series on it man keep open because if anything it just affirms and keep sharp your heart I mean you can find Paul in Philippians 3 it's not tedious for me to write the same thing over and over to you because for you it's a safeguard you find Hebrews 2 it says take earnest heed of the things you heard least they slip away Peter says in 2nd Peter 1 it's a powerful chapter second Peter one actually says in there that if you do certain things give your heart to certain things in faith in truth it says you'll never stumble now I know most the church don't believe that but Peter said that and God put it in his word oh now I know we're not taught that we're taught we're stumbling every day some of us wake up thinking we're sin and while we're breathing I say man if you're sitting while you're breathing just get born again we'll talk a little about some of this stuff but Peter writes this amazing chapter in 2nd Peter and and after he writes all this revelation he says you know I write these watch what he says I write these things to you even though you know them and are established in them and that amazing it's like you know we get into this in bring something fresh brother I want something new I don't want that old meat from yesterday man the old is always new and fresh when you receive it with open or understand if you'd hear me talk to the Lord you think out of got saved yesterday like Jesus I just thank you for your blood thank you for washing me and making me pure in your sight I think you got this morning I can just stand holy before you you see me as a son god I thank you when you look at me you see treasure you see value you sold out everything to obtain me now I have sold out everything and were one god I love you that's just that's communion that's really that sure beats just praying about a bunch of stuff than never getting to know him you know walking in your room father I just thank you you love me I'm serious guys turn off I know and I'm not against technology but man don't let it consume you and make you so busy and fulfill things that only know and him can fulfill some of that stuff brings a false sense of stuff come on I'm not gonna bash nothing I know I'm not a technical not cuz I'm against it I'm just not into stuff but some people are way over that line and you make yourself feel busy and you're drawing from some things man shut it all down and just be with him and when you're with him it's important I'm going to talk to you today because I've learned this when people get with him sometimes they get so self-conscious in that place that's why they don't break away and get with him because when they get with him they feel like they have to get past themselves to get to him and they feel like they have to talk about everything they feel that needs to change in the life and it's wall on their bed and they'll sit on their bed and say well well Lord you know I just I come to meet with you and I just man I so need this I'm sorry about this now remember and though at first 20 minutes you trying to get past yourself just to get to you then he wants you to just come you say well no but that stuff needs dealt with look it's already in your conscience come to him be with him receive his love begin to see how he sees you so those things can begin to change I'm serious if God changes the way you see yourself and you start seeing him him the way he sees you your life will begin to transform and you won't bite your lip to change things you'll be changed in him and that's where I'm going this morning so I hope you're with me this morning I'm gonna talk about how grace saves us see the Bible says you're saved by grace through faith as you release faith in the truth grace comes and makes that truth of your reality and your heart just sees it you become what you longed for who's ever strived for change and feels like the more that you focus on changing the more aware you are what's wrong with you and you feel like you're a step back instead of a step forward I want to crush that this morning so that that doesn't happen in anybody because here's what I found the only reason you're feeling that way is because your heart's ridiculously pure and you really do love the Lord because if you weren't alive inside you wouldn't feel all that you wouldn't care so much the fact that you care so much means you're okay but the fact that you focus on the thing that's wrong and you think it got magnified now you're sure you're not okay but the reason you care so much is because you are and then Satan takes advantage of your pure heart and drives you into condemnation because he has something to work with your pure heart because if you didn't care you couldn't be condemned are you guys following me this isn't too technical right cuz I'm not feel like I'm not a real deep guy I'm pretty shallow a guy I ride for the show I'm not a real deep guy if it wasn't simple I wouldn't get it it's serious I don't think Jesus you know hid this thing in a box it's he came out like he is look the only reason you could be condemned is because you care and you're alive inside if you were lascivious if you were lost if you were as bad as you've been hearing in your head you are you wouldn't care so much you'd be a whatever person I've had people come to me cry I'm sure this has happened to you pastor they they'll come to you cry Jason and they'll say oh my god I need to talk to you what I've done and and will not make a light of what people do we're not just breezing over it we're not to see now whatever in that sense of pastors but watch this they've come to you and they're crying their heart is wrenched who's ever done something and after you did it you saw it for what it is and it made your heart cry and you were like oh my goodness why didn't I see that a minute ago I would have spared myself from that and all of a sudden you you you're grieved over the fact that and you really if you could go back and do over you would do it immediately you would do over who's ever experienced that and it really hurts your heart when you saw that thing was really there you're like well I've had people come to me and they're crying but what they do is they think because of what they did that they're impure they think that man I got so many issues I'm so I'm a mad as I must be a hypocrite I mean they're worshiping Jesus and then look what was in my life look what I did look what I said right so they're broken by it and they'll come to you and they're identifying all of a sudden their identity shifts into the bad thing they did and now they're nothing more than a product of what they've just done and they'll come to you and they'll cry and I just always laughing and then but I am Sarah always say cuz you can't bear witness say stuff when I say I'm not good pastor I actually think I am good because I love people you know I'm here to help right and I'm not here to set you straight I didn't fly here to set nobody straight I came here to cheer on your heart but people come and they say you know you can't believe what I did and they tell you and they're broken and crying and I don't mind mine response is almost always across the board I'll say man I'm so excited to see how the gospel is purified your heart what's going on it's off it can't be thank you Jesus come on pretty thank you God just everybody's just bless the mic a man Lester Mike I'm messing we just don't want Dan to be booed have to be pried up with a handheld come on now this is coming through coming through awesome we're good now Kenny yeah okay yeah we'll look at it good thank you Jesus let that work for thanks Wow I hit thank you God see I can thank you lord see if I didn't understand the gospel if I didn't understand the gospel I could say Lord if you really love me make the mic work and then the mic doesn't work and then I'm not sure if he loves me and that's weird he loves me because Christ was crucified a man yeah that's already settled remember the day see yesterday we pulled all the pedals he loves me so they say they say that's what they say they say you know I can't believe I did this et cetera and I'll say to them I'll say listen man I'm so glad to see how the Gospels purified your heart and they don't know how to take that when they're crying like that because they think pure heart when you're talking about pure heart can't you hear what I just said I did didn't you hear what I just did and I said oh I heard what you did but I see who you are and if you let what you did start defining who you are you're in the worst most dangerous place of your life because now you're trying to get to him by your works and your performance and grace will never have the ability because you'll never really stay from the truth to change you and you'll always be aware of what's wrong with you and you'll always feel a step back and you won't have intimacy with him because you'll have a veil called yourself over your face you follow me and my condoning sin am i saying it's okay that you stumbled no what I'm saying is your life's more than that and I'm so glad you recognized that so you say again what could I possibly do different then how should I respond here's what you do you're walking through life in the Lord in the spirit you didn't wake up to sin do you think you got up and came here at a 10 o'clock service on the Saturday morning because you're looking for a way to to sin and get away with it and use the gospel to cover your sin or did you get up here and come because you want to know him more manifest him and shine light walk in him do you think there's anybody in here that got up this one he said okay now how could I manipulate and use the gospel to stay the same so so are are we really hypocrites are we a bunch of bad people am I here preaching this because we have ill intent in our heart or because we just sort seek an understanding I've watched pure people let themselves get shipwrecked because their heart felt like they loved Jesus so much but they believed they weren't living up to their love for him so they constantly felt like they were failing and they identified with failure instead of being a son or a daughter so they had no ability to make the tree good because they were constantly assessing the tree by the fruits that they were trying to change the fruit to prove the tree you have to make the tree good you have to see the tree for what it really is does an apple tree produce an apple to prove to you it's an apple tree or does it produce an apple cuz it is an apple tree watch it was an apple tree in the seed that's sweet that's so simple this is not heavy this is not deep but it is profound it's simple stuff see Jesus says a good tree can't bear bad a bad tree can't bear therefore you know a tree by it what's he talking about tree or fruit what do we hear all the time it seems what's he talking about what do we tend to hear oh is that good hey now watch this he says make a tree good and it's fruits good or make a tree bad as fruits bad is he talking about you judging and assessing your tree or is he talking about you getting healthy identity and realizing who you've become this little analogy of the tree has nothing to do with you becoming a fruit Assessor it has to do with you saying man if I got bad fruit hanging on me I don't realize Who I am and my hope isn't trying to change my fruit my hope is not trying harder my hopes not you know I shouldn't really get so angry I shouldn't snap like that I you know I have such a short fruit I am this type personality you know I probably should God I need to change that how are you gonna change that you know the best the world can do is call it anger management it's still there just manage it the Bible's answer is put it off you see well the bible does say be angry and do not sin that means have nothing to do your anger your emotions your whatever you're doing in the expression that seems like anger has nothing do with human beings and personal identity and individuals anger with sin as when it your emotions are at the cost of somebody's potential anger with sin is your emotions directed to an individual at the cost of their potential man I'm passionate can you tell I have passion in me if you were with leadership with me or if you were on a board with me you'd see I'm extremely passionate and I preach this stuff me I feel like sometimes we have too many weaknesses in our lives to actually love is strong and expressive and amazing that's for the sake of the whole and but a lot of times people misses they just take an expression of something take it personal and the reason if we take it personal is because we're not really that complete in him and we're still thinking for ourselves I told him today I said Jay said I'm like a Christian Teflon pad man there ain't nothing to stick to listen you can accost me you can slam me you can accuse me you can do whatever you want there ain't nothing to stick to it's gonna it's like a Teflon pad man cuz I'm you're not a threat to me I have nothing to prove I won't be putting that pressure I can't be a cat in a corner I won't get in defense I'm secure I've committed myself to him who judges righteously he knows the truth and whether you're seeing or not it doesn't change the truth so even the Bible says if you suffer for doing wrong and take it patiently doesn't say you're a doormat and passive it says you're commendable to God if you suffer for doing good it doesn't say you're an enabler it says it's commendable for God what you're doing is you're not letting sin against you have the right to produce sin in you you're overcoming evil with good how many people have got caught in this language in the church well pastor I wouldn't feel this way if it wasn't for what they should know better but they were saved longer than me well they're the one that started what do you expect me to feel where you weren't in my shoes that really are we think that's like normal language we think that's like what everybody should feel and heavens gone they don't if heaven doesn't even know what you're thinking Adam taught us that not Jesus it's time to get renewed in the spirit of arak get born again rather than our names in a book called life let's get born again all of a sudden we're justifying where our life is there is based on other factors than him and it's Christ in me that determines marry you guys with me okay listen how many people if we would take a survey don't don't raise your hands but how many people just in this room you've allowed your heart to get hurt since you were a Christian and the more you analyzed it you justified how you felt because you saw what was so wrong so you you accommodated your feelings now you've got all these reasons for not being who you're really called to be a manifesting what's inside of you and what we all sing about and your justifications are all natural fleshy human it's human reasons the way that seems right to a man it's producing nothing good it's actually locking you into the flesh and assuring tomorrow's yesterday you guys with me and my tongue cuz I'm like maybe I might saying too much if I go on a little T cuz I feel like some of you aren't getting are you guys with me okay good come on you overcome evil with good you never repay evil for evil when you read somebody face value when you take something personal it reveals one thing not that they're messed up that you're insecure come on if Jesus can walk in this he'd have been a mess immediately he didn't say sing to me pray to me he said follow me you keep singing to him and you keep praying to him but the goal was following him the first day preach they tried to push him off the cliff when they perceived he was talking about them it was amazing in the beginning of the like whoa authority where'd this guy get this stuff and all sudden they got offended said wait he's talking about us kill him is that in your Bible the first eight branches they're trying to push him off a cliff and kill him okay so Jason goes out there's first time comes home Tina said how'd it go honey she's not like that at all so how'd it go babe how'd it go boy get on that's ride okay moving on so if Jason preaching and they did that and they they threw stuff at him and strange said you're not your hair Nichkhun you tipped me off man get out of my face and he come home the temptation would be man what did I do wrong man how do I modify my message how do i how do i access their hearts and not be so blatant how do i maybe I need to season more grace maybe I then all sudden you're just doing this rude all this debriefing and taking their reaction as little truth and your Jesus is so secure he knows his motive he knows why I said what he said he knows who he is but it's not a bad thing you have to be careful you don't cross in to some other line with that thing and get falsely secured well I don't care about people and I don't care why are you kidding we'll love people but watch this if I can't freely preach the truth with the motive of love where's the hope for freedom because truth makes us free and if we become so touchy thin-skinned and sensitive especially in the church that we can't talk plain we've got a real problem because we'll just accommodate one another and we'll just touch stuff and hope Holy Spirit brings out the secret message and the only reason that would be possible is because we're not as surrendered and submitted and humble as we think that's why I appreciate it last night because it was just like you guys were awesome yeah Oh guys okay this morning okay so Jesus if Jesus didn't see this way wouldn't this heart of lost hope when you have changed his mind after a while about people I mean you heal a whole city you think you're gonna have you feed 5,000 they come back and Jesus is so sharp he says you know the only reason you're here is because I fed you yesterday you're hungry again but I got something to say to you and they all walked away so mercy and the love of God said him and showed him he's for him but what he was quickly teaching him is now listen I'm not just here you're not a alicat and I'm not a bowl of milk you're not a stray and I'm not a bowl of milk I'm life now follow me and they just wanted the bowl of milk so they walked away but Jesus still gave him the truth the rich young ruler he said okay he said there is this one thing you need to go sell all your possessions header in the man was said it said Jesus loved him but when he walked away he didn't chase him he didn't say wait come back hey he just left him go in that conviction and trusted Malkin's in the garden he's on the wrong side of the fence Peter get zealous and wields a sword you know he tried to cut off his head right he wasn't just trying to clip an ear and send a message he's swinging for Richard and Richard duction right come on Jesus doesn't say one word to Malchus guess what we do in the gospel we pick up Malka says ear we do this a lot in the church we pick up alkis is here and we miss following Jesus it sounds right it seems right well Marcus and running on the wrong side of the fence pal I've been hanging out with the wrong crowd I guess you're reaping what's your so son you know what you come across the line you come to God it's time to repent friend it's time to come to God and kneel and perhaps he consider you he forgive you and maybe even restore some things joy and all of a sudden it sounds right you're trying to compel him based on his crisis but what you're doing is you're drawing him to God for what God can do for him instead the beauty of who God is so here's how Jesus evangelizes Jesus just fixes his ear he looks like the enemy he's there to take him away and kill him but Jesus told us you say love your neighbor and hate your enemy but I say love your enemy pray for those who use you despitefully use you give to those who persecute you and now he's living what he said and showing us what it looks like well merica shouldn't even over there he serves him right we shouldn't be running with that crowd you shouldn't be trying to arrest Jesus and beat him up no wonder you got your ear cut off man you need to repent that sounds spiritual to us Jesus doesn't know what you're saying because Jesus is different Jesus watch Jesus's fix a mouse's ear and the only thing he said to anyone was his own disciple and if you really power phrase what he said he said why are you acting like them you've been with me for how long don't you know that I don't fight this way anymore put away your sword if you live by the sword you're gonna die by the sword what are you saying this Peter you've been with me for how long now and you're still acting like them are you kidding me come on you're more than that while he's correct and Peter guess what he's doing here look and don't get theologically distracted whether he picked it up or put a new one on there it doesn't matter the end result is the same he healed him now played this out a little let's not let it just be a Bible story let's not just read it to know what it says let's really think about it they wrapped Jesus up bind him up and take him away Malchus is obviously in the crowd but watch this he's got blood all over his shirt did you ever think of that this man is covered with blood and his shoes perfectly normal and now they're beating him and women they're plucking his beard of spitting on him and he's encountered love he's come to arrest a man got his ear cut off trying to arrest him and the man he's arresting put his ear back on and never said a word to him your Bible doesn't reveal that he said one word love speaks through the life that's lived here's what we live by I love you we've learned to use that in manipulation those three words have been manipulated played and more hearts have been played by those three words because we all so desperately need to hear it that that's the phrase we go to to try to patch things up I tell people you ought to cool it a little bit on the I love you there's a lot in security wrapped around you probably ought to just live I love you to where nobody even questions it and it's obvious think of milkis he's dying on the cross even the Roman guard said surely this is this man was the son of God people were already getting moved the blood was already speaking power of Holy Ghost is already a temple curtain tour baby eyes was already starting to pop open come on here's malkos what do you think I am a firm believer we're going to see Malka sin everlasting life why you can't run from that kind of love there's nowhere to hide it speaks too loud they're killing him and all he's done is good and all the sudden malkinson his heart what are we doing what am i doing this man helped me his own guy cut off my ear and rightly so he was just trying to defend him but he's not even defending himself and he fixed me he said this should alarm us and get us sober a whole chapter he said you say but I say you say but I say you say but I say what's he trying to tell us the fall of man perverted wisdom and you think it's the way it's not I'm the way the truth in life you ought to follow what I say because what you have said up till now isn't the way a whole chapter to say you say but I said and if you really look at what he says and we said in the analogies it's a lot of it's the heart the motive of your life the why behind you the why is what makes you tick why do you evangelize why do you preach why do you go to church why do you do what you do you can't rise above your why it's your ceiling the why determines how high you thought the why is your motivation and if you're wise not love you'll be very limited disheartened discouraged and at some point deceived I'm not prophesying negatively I'm talking plain if your why isn't love you're gonna hit a lot of bumps along the way and make a beautiful joyful journey a struggle and you'll think the Christian life is tough that it's a war and life is challenging and no love is free and amazing and overwhelming and you'll cry yourself to sleep and all hell could be going against you and coming against young people could be turning on you and doing things you never thought they'd do and you can lay and weep and no you're right with God and have the capacity of heart to pray grace over all these situations and stay strong through it all and never let what men did or didn't do to find who you are but what he did is the solid truth about you another sudden you're looking through his eyes Father forgive them they don't realize what they're doing and the devil says all they know what they're doing they did that on purpose and they there's nothing there's is evil and he father if they really saw they really had a revelation they couldn't be in this capacity would you have mercy that sure beats being broken crying yourself to sleep telling for friends making them your support system because they'd be as hurt as you now everybody's licking wounds and nobody's healed now I'm gonna get real straight with this okay you follow me Jason cuz you're the pastor this house that wants to make sure you good with everything here and if you have input man are we getting to be a family this morning we'll watch this I've seen this stuff over the years and it's I've seen it but I believe by the Spirit of God we have the ability be hurt we carry sensitivity in our life we don't understand that we've become Christians to become loved and become like him we slowly think we're Christians to be blessed and then when people do us wrong we get offended and hurt and can't believe the church is acting that way and then we let what they did define us and then we talked to people that would be just as hurt as us so they qualify the hurt and they say oh honey I can't believe they did that to you she said what well that must have broke your heart oh honey come here father I just and now we're spiritual father I just asked for your grace and your mercy to come on her God she should have never said that to her God would you protect her ears in her heart from those malicious words and you think you're helping her and being spiritual you're actually empowering her to be broken accommodating her reason for being and not even teaching her the heart of God and how Jesus discerns it all and you're cornets sensitive and comfort and compassion and all you're doing is relating to her because you'd feel like she does we call it ministry it slowly becomes victim villain now we have a Christian talk show what the church put me through now we're all sitting up there telling our story in the audience's relating and we'll all right you guys flow with me this morning this isn't too heavy right this is this stuff this stuff keeps me alive that to me these are life messages this stuff keeps me from doing this come on I'm running a race and it's not like this so wonderful your heart's P remember it's something out early about you Karen and I said wonder if you who's ever done that and go uh-uh and you saw it you saw you knew you realized what you did or you contemplated something you said no no no and then you did it anyway or you just realized that you were being very judgmental in a conversation or you took something personal all sudden the light came on and you realize where your heart was who's ever done that watch I could really set you up now but I won't I could say who's ever done that and then you felt bad about it and took a while to get over a call to friend for prayer or confessed it to two or three people trying to be scriptural and a lot of people with raised their hand and I would say don't ever do that again because here's the deal here's the deal because you start you're so conscious then you build a stronghold around what you did wrong and you think yeah but I confess my fault one to another pray for one others you there's a place if you have a repetitive thing in your life or you have something that you want to disclose to a friend that's not a gossip that's going to love you and understand and pray for you and tell you who you are then you confess your fault to them but watch this if you confess right here's what you do he's faithful and just to cleanse you of how much so if he cleanses you we know that the only thing left then is righteous if he cleanses you of all unrighteousness than the only thing that can remain is righteous so he does a pretty good job of making me clean and let me stand before him I probably ought to let him father me yeah to watch it so walking through life then duh father oh my goodness I so see that for what it is thank you for the light in my life God you're grooming me you're raising me up in mature oh if you can't hear me back there at some point just go like that or and I'll try to get louder okay but here's the deal
