This time, I would like to introduce Daiso's Dutch Oven. Last time I introduced a custom micro stove, but I will also make Dutch oven dishes with that stove. The price is 1000 yen. The inner diameter is 11.5cm, the weight is 1.5kg, and the capacity is 0.7L. Then we will open it. The inner diameter is 11.5cm. The bottom diameter is 9cm. It is 10.5cm in height. Thickness is about 3mm at the thickest point. It looks like this when placed on the microstove, both black and compact, a pretty nice combination. If cast iron is neglected in maintenance, it will rust in no time. This time, we will perform rust prevention that does not require maintenance in the future. Clean and degrease the Dutch oven with a neutral detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Use linseed oil. It is a drying oil that, when heated, forms a strong carbonized layer that prevents rust. Apply a thin layer of linseed oil. The trick is to apply thinly, not thickly. Heat over medium to low heat. Be careful not to heat it all at once. Turn off the heat just before the smoke stops and let it cool. Let it cool, then re-apply linseed oil and heat. Repeat this 3 to 5 times and you are done. Do the same with the lid, repeating 3 to 5 times. The linseed oil coating has a smooth surface and turns black. Oil stains after cooking can also be removed with regular detergent. We will cook bonfire dishes with a micro stove and a Dutch oven. We will assemble it with a bonfire stand specification that has customized the micro stove. Last time I used 30 cm long firewood. This time, I will try to make a 37cm roll. However, the 37cm roll causes the stove to tilt. Therefore, we added a handmade support this time so that even 37cm firewood can be used stably. Dutch oven dish is curry. This is the state after using the dutch oven and micro stove. There is no damage from firewood or charcoal, it is good.
