Daily Blender Secrets - How to model a fan blade / propeller

Create a Cylinder with 10 sides. Rotate and scale the cylinder. Inset and extrude the caps inwards. Use the LoopTools add-on to Bridge these faces and create a hole. Select the edges you want to keep sharp and press Shift+E+ 1 on the Numpad to create them. Then subdivide the model to make it smooth. Select 5 faces and inset them. Scale the inset along the X-axis and press Alt+E to extrude along the normals. Press Shift+E+ 1 to remove creasing on these edges. Press Alt+E to extrude again, and scale to create the fan blade shape. Repeat this step to further create the blade shape. Set Transform orientation to Normal and Pivot Point to Individual origins. Then rotate the faces of the blades along the Normal Z-axis to finish their shape.
