we're predominantly going for some of them but there's also some heers with caves at foot so they're still young would pick up some of them they're sold first or before the boing heers so that's fire all to do with Bandit beer batch two it is coming June and here is the start of batch number two doesn't look like much this is The Malt there's 22 bags here 550 kilos which will produce 3,000 l or 9,000 beers so Jack from waste of deg just come to collect all this then he's going to get to making it oh yes here we go we have our Brewing Company there it goes oh oh hello hold okay the Tank's actually almost full of water you can see the line of it when I finished up last night I just filled it up so only need another few hundred L and the chemical this is what we're using today fire starter on some spring barley preemergence herbicide this is going on at A3 rate SO3 l so in every hector3 of this liquid will be spraying across the field I'm going to mix it in today with 160 170 L of water we are off to the races this is a nice easy field fairly flat and decent long rounds come to the end here end rig is not done just get on with it and get it done and we'll deal with the end rig once SE which hopefully fingers crossed tomorrow need to get the roller sorted out that no that tire has come off the rim so I need to take the wheel off and get that sorted so we can get them moving again so this is a pre pre-emergence so before the crop emerges to the ground we've got a bank of five nozzles here predominantly we're using this one it's a 3D High something nozzle anyway what that does is it sprays out the fluid in a fan shape covers across the ground there imagine that whole surface there covered in spray as the grain comes up it'll come through that film and won't be affected as the weeds come up and through that film they are affected the chemical that's in the tank right now is formulated to Target the weeds weeds will come up they'll pick it up it'll then go into the system of the weed and kill it dead then you end up with a crop of barley and significantly less weeds so the Ley doesn't have any competition for nutrients and space and light it's got a full chance the best chance it can get you can see this ground's being rolled and what that does is just it reduces the surface area of the field so when you spray the film on you get a better covering it breaks up any bigger Cloud that's the biggest clo you have now cuz the rules have broken down any big cloudes cuz if you imagine a big cloud let's get a stone cuz that obviously doesn't break imagine you still have big clouds like that sprayer goes over it there's only only so much of the surface the sprayer can get to if it goes like that and fans over it in around here and whatnot doesn't get touched so that's Prime space for weeds to get going whereas if you roll it into the ground or you crush it into more pieces as well as pushing it flat way better spray profile across it way better wood control and that is one of the reasons why we roll get an update see how Dad's getting on any more cattle bought he was at six heers with cabs at the fot when I spoke to him last heers are sold so so here's the induction Bowl turn this valve starts pumping water into it like so comes at an angle there so the water flows in a circular pattern to mix up the chemical as you pour it in this opens up the base valve out of the induction Hopper to take the fluid into the main tank so open that up feather this controls so they're about balanced water coming in same as water going out and then that's a nice mixing go for car once this tub's empty I'll put it over the we water jet there in the middle so it goes over on top of that I wait until it goes down a bit and then I pull that we handle and the water jet comes on to clean out the inside of this tub what we'll do is we'll open up this valve a bit get it flowing a bit quicker there it goes and that can go over there press that trigger and now that's cleaning out I've got we cable TDE to put over there to hold it on if I ever need it held on so now I can do this with one hand just get all the corners cleaned [Music] out now we have a look in there oh there's still a little bit left we'll do that again got seven seven b h all right okay so what's that 15 15 yeah yeah yeah all be down till tomorrow tomorrow well this tank will finish up the barley here right right I'm just leaving tulips tulips tulips these are the furthest on these yellow ones all frill edges people are loving these ones anyway these are the aliums so they they are coming be interesting to see how they end up looking these ones are miles behind you can see the Bud there though they're coming I mentioned we had a we bit of a disease Sy room called chulip fire which definitely put slight blemishes on some leaves there's some petals with a bit of blemishes and then the leaves there have picked up a bit they're not perfect but they're manageable thankfully didn't completely ruin them these are we short Stout things but you can see they're going to come out quite nice these are in full flour now some purples some red and yellows and then more purples and pinks It's Tricky the soil type is shocking for chips it's not but it has to be next to the shop so it's kind of here only so they grow but it's not ideal for them soil is not free draining it's not light it's quite chucking this bit especially for regrowth next year so last year tulips were in that patch over there we grubbed them out they they weren't coming very well grubbed them out just keep with these ones thankfully we put enough in that it's it's produced a decent patch they've come good last weekend was really busy there was a few Tik toks flying about from people that did a few 100,000 views so ended up with quite a lot of people out from that which I think we'll carry on to next weekend as well it's a photograph opportunity people that's what people want place to get a picture we'll develop it and make some changes for next year I just to put the row in the beds in straight that one's got to be kinked it another wet bit that needs a attack just a digger fold up down to the yard start out the soy man back in to spray to spray another 4 hect ah oh we have a roof let's see if if we can squeeze this in before the wheat oh yes right in there makes it easy for the Lorry straight line it both he's not sure he can back his way through this door so the trailer doesn't turn well that's an excuse that's a big wide door that don't hit the shed don't hit the shed like a dream we'll just land this right between the wheat and Limestone makes it easy when the mixers come in to so it all up if it's all close nice Advantage here of a tall ceiling they'll get CED up no problem oy [Music] 10 minutes we'll get this coped up and then back to spraying oh a we miss couple shots forward and that'll be should get most of it without dragging it 20 to me forward there's an augur in the back there to feed the rest of it out it's a segmented trailer four segments they're all open at the moment obviously to let it all flush out the blowers are on them if they can't get C they can empty the whole trailer view there if they can't get it CED up enough job done the we aug's got brushes on it so it fully cleans out the augur system on it very smart that's him off so is in I'm going back spraying he got in the door no problem that's so I came from the docks at Glasgow probably came in from Argentina or South America anyway finished up spraying need to go and sort the rollers now get them moving dad's back now just getting organized for what's going to happen tomorrow we're going soon tomorrow but choice of two bad
