Curved Text In GIMP | Wrap Text Around A Circle With GIMP | How to Bend Text in GIMP

in this video i will be showing you how to make a curved circular text with curved text is very often used in logo design so let's make a new file with a black background i'm gonna use ellipse select tool color is irrelevant because i'm gonna create a path from this ellipse so go to select and to path if i unselect everything i can see the path to fix it go to path tab here you can turn on the visibility of created path the eye icon in layer mode type some text click on the text layer and hit on text along path as you can see it makes a path around the circle to fill this path with color go to paths tab right click on it and select path to selection you're gonna notice a path gonna be selected with an outline to fill the selection you can use bucket tool or through edit mode also don't forget to create a new layer for this new text now it should work select none to unselect the text and hide the original text we don't need it anymore if you want to rotate the text along the circle go to tools transform tools rotate this text is moving with all layer to confirm rotation press enter in paths tab let's delete the un needed path i can adjust the position a little bit also there is another way if you want to reverse text and make it at the bottom of the circle so let's add another text move it below the first path text also i have to create a new layer for another text i'm gonna use flip tool to reverse the path go to transform tool tool flip in this tab choose path and click on the red circle and now if i click on my new text choose text along path and we can see the text is reversed outside the circle now everything is the same go to paths right click on the path and path to selection go back to layers select empty layer for a new text and fill with a color just go ahead and rotate the text and press enter to confirm let's delete unwanted path and that's it you have rape text thanks for watching it and see you in the next video
